I usually like Lowe's Home Improvement...I will only address my specific issue. I'm installing 3 Exterior Spigots, Faucets, Bibs (depending on your background...LOL) and need some very specific SharkBite Fittings to tap into a Bathroom and a Kitchen. I'm replacing some other valves and setting up to allow for Hot Water to blend in when desired for Dog Baths, Car Wash, etc.) I went to Isle 46(?) and started looking for the items - the entire section was chaos. Some bins had the wrong items in them, some had a mixture of right and wrong, and several didn't have anything in them at all. I've seen enough Employees standing around (and worked in my Family's Country Store) to know that it's always a good time to "Check and Re-sort Inventory." After 20 minutes of frustration, I left without purchasing anything. The SharkBite Pieces at the Home Depot in Dawsonville were easy to find, well-stocked, and properly, sorted. Lowe's delivery services gets an F, Lowe's in Suwannee gets an A. I bought a dryer and had it delivered. Apparently the delivery services could not deliver it several times because each one was damaged and the last time they didn't even bother showing up. I went to Lowes in Suwannee and the manager and customer service rep were very sympathetic and helpful after I explained the situation. Lowes delivered it from the Suwannee location and everything was great. Hopefully I can have other items delivered directly from Suwannee and avoid Delivery Services. read more

Today there are 3 ladies working at customer service with no customers, while 10 people wait in line for self checkout. On 7/24/2022 at about 5:05pm, I was walking through the store looking for liquid graphite and a couple of door weatherstrips and I was passed by an African-American lady and someone named Brian. I asked for help with the weatherstripping and Brian said "yes, that's on 17. " When I asked about the graphite, she very rudely said "come on Brian, we have to keep walking." I told them I haven't been in the store in years as no one ever helps. They didn't care and kept walking. On my way out and going to Home Depot, I voiced my displeasure towards her while she was behind the customer service counter. Didn't even look up. That's just unacceptable for customer service folks, and she was training Brian. Great job. I'm sure he'll fit right in. I'll never return to the store again and maybe never go back in another Lowe's store as I ALWAYS have problems getting help there. "Dave" the store manager at the Buford store location was horrible to deal with. I bought a pallet of laminate flooring to do a job. Turns out 5 boxes were a different color flooring. After going round and round with him, he finally said he would return it but would only give me the lesser cost of the flooring because it was a different flooring that wasn't as much. I have a receipt which shows what I paid and he refused to refund my money. The second I questioned him he said have a nice day. I was shocked!!! He then asked me to leave the store. I have never had anything like this happen to me. I spend millions of dollars on building supplies as I am a builder. This is a great reminder of why I love Home Depot so much. Maybe if Dave sobered up and shaved he would feel better about showing up to work. The stinch of day old alcohol on Dave was nasty. Horrible service! I bought brown mulch at Low's on Lawrenceville-Suwanee rd. The guy just threw a mulch bag with full of water in to the back of my minivan without any hesitations. So careless and unconsidered. I immediately asked him took it out but too late. All the dirty brown water running down to my carpets. If he would considered, it would not cause stain my carpet. Rented a truck from them. Inside of truck was never cleaned and filthy. Steering wheel was even sticky. So much for proper COVID disinfecting policies! Truck had lots of previous damage, including a missing tail gate cover. Sharp metal edge caught my hand while unloading. The manager Tim offered no refund of any kind. Even stated that the truck wasn't like that when I got it. So I told them to check the cameras to prove them wrong...and they were. Seeking an attorney for personal injury and negligence. I was fortunate to receive great customer service from the Assistant Store Manager, Sean Freeman at the SuWanee Location Store #2908. As a frequent customer of Lowes, we made a purchase of Seasonal Christmas items that we never used. While we had the receipt and original packing of all the items, apparently the return policy stated that all returns must be made no later than December 26th. We were out of town and missed the return date . I called and spoke to Sean about the situation and he took immediate action to ensure we were satisfied. Went there to get one specific item recently. I called before going, customer service confirmed item in stock- 13 of the item to be exact. Went there, walked around the store in the area the item should be and couldn't find it. Spoke with the cashier in the are and she told me "Im just a cashier and I should go to customer service". I went to customer service who re-confirmed to me that the item was in stock. I asked if someone could help me find it as I couldn't find it walking through the section. she called someone who I waited for 25 minutes and never showed up. The customer service lady told me " I should just try checking again or the item may just not be in stock." 1- you always should help the customer out and not leave them stranded 2- how are you going to tell me you have 13 in the system but none in the store? i went to another store and found the product I needed and got the customer service I think every customer deserves. THE NEW PROTOTYPE! Of all the stores in my general area including Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek and Cumming, this one is my favorite. Yes, it is in Suwanee but always worth the drive because they always have what I need. First of all, their restrooms are at the front of the store so you don't have to take that crazy hike to the rear, They are large and open so there are no doors in the way and they even have a unisex option available. They have a very nice selection of wall and floor tiles unlike my local stores. I was able to find my tool bucket here, (the last one) and a couple of highly rated wall sconces that were on clearance at 50% off. I scored the last two. Also in the lighting department, they are now carrying a great selection of recessed lighting that can be easily installed. You can get the level of light that you need from cool or warm to daylight bright, come with a cool night glow feature and can be easily dimmed. I'm going to install them in my bathroom, closet and laundry room for a much cleaner look. If you choose to use it in your bedroom, just make sure that it is IC rated and appropriate for damp areas. I have never purchased paint samples from Lowe's but I was able to get my SW paint at his location and avoided having to make an additional stop. All of the employees were very helpful with our various questions. If you are looking for that "hard to find" item or just want a nice, calm never overcrowded shopping experience, this is the place! read more

You will not only receive great customer service, but she keeps you updated through completion with her great installation team. I've had projects in other areas, but I met with her to get a better understanding of what's needed for my many projects. Lowe's does a pretty good job, but the people they staff at the Customer Service desk never seem to know what anything is you ask for. They call multiple departments trying to find what you are looking for - try asking where to find wooden stakes and not laugh at the puzzled faces you get in return. The CS woman was very nice and tried to help, and ultimately after asking 3 or 4 people on the phone, she directed me to the complete opposite end of the store to lumber to find them. Once I got to lumber, I asked a man (sorry to stereotype) and he walked me right to them. Ultimately, I found something better to handle my needs, but it should not have taken me being in the store for 15 minutes to accomplish my task - educate your CS staff on where items are located and what things are. And if they don't know what something is, direct the customer to a more knowledgable person instead of making them stand around. read more

HD used to be the gold standard but ever since Bob Nardelli was their CEO they haven't been the same. The store is always bright and clean. Returns are no hassle, even if you don't have your receipt. This location gets stars for merchandise/inventory only. They usually have plenty of stock and I know I can get in and out with what I came for. This location also skews to the higher end on quality/brands for Lowe's. The store is very clean. Do not expect even a minimum level of customer service here. I have spent hundreds in this store and have never once been greeted or asked if I need help. I always SEE workers, I have just never talked to one. Lots of red vests standing around, talking to other red vests, etc. Lines for assisted checkout take forever, because all Lowe's shoppers have all day to stand in line? There are some items I can only get at Lowe's and that is my only reason to visit this store. For the majority of my home improvement purchases I will stick with HD. Lowe's rule #1 is communication is key. I purchased a washer & dryer 7/21, scheduled delivery for 7/30 because all the items weren't in stock. Today the third party delivery guys show up & day the pedestal were damaged & not loaded on the truck. So when was Lowe's going to tell me? I've received three calls from Lowe's about the delivery, never once did anyone say anything about damaged items. Called Lowe's this morning, after 30 minutes on hold, I final spoke to the delivery manager. The only thing he said was I'm sorry, we can reschedule for Thursday. What?! I'm off work today for the delivery. What about Saturday? No, now I'm two weeks without a washer & dryer. I should have paid more attention to the 2 1/2 stars they received on Yelp. Argh!! On October 23, 2022, I placed an order for Schuler cabinets with Lowe's. Lowe's told me the order would be delivered and installed on January 20, 2023. It's now March 29, and the cabinets haven't been installed. A few days before January 20, Lowe's asked me to uninstall my kitchen sink, dishwasher, stove and oven for the cabinet installation. On January 20, there were several cabinets missing in the order, and they didn't install the ones they brought. They left them against a wall and left. Lowe's wouldn't give me any answers. They claimed they'd find out when the rest of the order would arrive. These 2 months, I've gotten nothing but disrespect. No word on when I'll receive my cabinets. A few weeks ago, I contacted Lowe's to cancel the order and ask for the totality of my money back. They said they'd charge a 20% restocking fee if I canceled but offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. That offer was an insult. It doesn't make any sense that the cabinets are now over two months late, but Lowe's wants to charge me for their own idiocy, noncompliance and horrific customer service. I thought Lowe's was a serious company. Now I know they're nothing but a bunch of thieves. Additionally, after I removed my kitchen appliances for the cabinet installation, Lowe's promised to bring a kitchen sink, free of charge, we could use in the meantime. That sink took two months to be delivered after several attempts to contact them on my end by phone, email and in person. The day the sink was delivered, they tried to charge me $500 for it after saying it was free. At this point, I demand they return a significant percentage of the cost of the cabinets for the dire inconveniences my family has experienced and that they deliver and install the cabinets within the next few days. Otherwise, I want the totality of my money back - no restocking fee charged. They were noncompliant with the purchasing contract and don't deserve a single penny out of me. read more

This is my go to store for all my home improvement needs. We recently moved into a home in Duluth, completing a fairly large renovation project. There is a Home Depot within 2 miles of our house, however that location is pretty miserable. I placed an order, in store, for well over $4k in various materials and supplies. The customer service associate who assisted me went out of her way to make sure all of my needs were met. I took more than an hour of her time, all the while she was patient and professional. There was a bit of a hiccup with delivery, however the assistant store manager worked hard to ensure everything was taken care of properly. Every staff member I have interacted with at this location has been knowledgeable and very helpful through ought this project. read more

Holy poor service Batman! Ever since moving to Suwanee, we have tried to have a pleasant experience at THIS Lowes location - not so much. Each time we think "Hey, they are the closest Lowes, let's give it a try" we end up having a less than pleasurable experience. Appliances - there is a stove we were interested in. Online showed 3 in stock but they didn't have one out on the floor. Wonder why this item isn't selling? Patio furniture -repeat story. Today, however was the last straw. Went to purchase some blinds. Needed them cut and there wasn't a trained person there to cut them. It was early, so no biggie, we will come back. We come back later after confirming there are trained people there to cut blinds just to meet Phil. Phil is a piece of work. We tell him we need to cut them to 34.5" (we already bought before, so we know this is accurate.) he delights in "educating" my husband and I as so why we are wrong and needed 34". So, ok. He then says "what sale are you referring to" again, in a condescending manner to which I point to a sign a couple feet from his face. I walk off and he has the nerve to ask someone if they are really on sale. Really Phil? The sign could not be more specific. So, we proceed to check out and I ask the lady if they ring up on sake after she scanned the blinds and she says "no, just the cabinets are on sale". What??? Am I in some kind of home improvement twilight zone?? What kind of register system doesn't show the regular price compared to sale price? Ugh!!!! I didn't notice the regular price to know if that was the sale price and the less than informed cashiers had no clue. We haven't tried the blinds yet - they better fit, Phil!!! read more
