Our new, and still under warranty, refrigerator died. The manufacture authorized a replacement be delivered from Lowe's in Spokane. The Lowe's delivery guys were not careful with the installation as one of the delivery guys roughhoused it into place in the kitchen, and ended up in the process denting the refrigerator on both sides, had a back port covering dented, and tracked gravel into the house and under the refrigerator as they shoved it into place. (The dents were not big and would end up being hidden from view once the refrigerator was properly placed.) The installed refrigerator kind 'a rocked back and forth on what ended up being gravel under it, I asked the delivery guy about leveling it, not knowing it was rocking on gravel that ended up fixed to the bottom when they placed the refrigerator on our wet from rain gravel parking area when getting it down from the truck. The delivery guy said there was no way to level it, where in fact, there is a way to stabilize it that he failed to tell us. As he shoved the refrigerator into place you could hear a loud grinding noise; noise that it turned out was coming from the heavy refrigerator being shoved into place on top of the gravel; gravel grinding on our kitchen tile flooring. A manager from Lowe's Appliance Department (Lowe's on Division) called and asked if we were pleased and I replied 'no.' I told about the roughhousing the delivery guys did, the dents and my finding the gravel. She expressed regret about what happened. She asked for pictures so the drivers could be instructed about future deliveries. I sent the pictures. I ended up getting a call from a guy wanting details and pictures. I answered his questions and said pictures had already been sent. It sounded like he was being coached in the background as to how to respond to my observations. (He might not have been coached, it is just that it sounded like he was.) I thought of something that I needed to tell him, called him back but he did not want to take my call. I asked that he call me back when able. He never did call back. The person at Lowe's that took my call started to read a long list of how my original call went with him. I said that I did not need a replay of what was said, I needed to talk to him. He never did return my call. The next day, we received a call from someone at Lowe's that said they wanted to give us a $45 gift card for payment for the damage and hassle. I explained that my motive to say anything was not to receive reimbursement but to have the store educate the delivery guys to be careful with people's investments. I went on to say that since the $45 was being offered, we would accept it - thank you. We are a bit shocked by the $45 band-aid. We were not seeking reimbursement but $45 seemed condescending and like a slap in the face. Note: The two delivery guys had one that seemed in charge. It was he that roughhoused it into place. I was a little disappointed with the quality in the lack of product availability. I almost never go to Lowe's, but I thought I'd give it a shot. My mom gave me a gift card. Everything I looked for was gone. I came looking for a 2 gallon primer and they only had a 1 gallon or 5 gallon. Not a big deal. So I went to the garden center to see if I could find any plants didn't have a lot of luck I was looking for a raised garden bed also is not available small stock. So I settled on one beautiful peony plant which I bought for $40 and then I went to Home Depot and found the same plant for 14. Bought a dishwasher and fridge , I thought I had paid for installation of the dishwasher, I tried to buy the insulation, after delivery ,3 separate ppl at 2 separate stores and the customer service phone line tried to set the insulation up , I was asked if it was still in the box , which it was , turns out bottom line they will not set up the dishwasher after it is delivered .... This is my 4th terrible experience using Lowe's. In 2022 I ordered a fridge with install and haul away. The crew tried to refuse installation saying I had not paid, showed them paperwork n receipts where I had. Ordered a washer/dryer. Again, crew refused installation saying I needed new valves even tho they were only a year old. Had to reschedule. Next appointment crew wouldn't haul away without "cash incentive" even tho again I paid. I'm stupid, used them for another fridge today, this crew refused installation. I'm finally done. I called the store right away and after some go around that I didn't order on Instacart but directly from Lowe's they found the missing item had been placed with another order in error. They said they could not redeliver it and I'd have to reorder. It was early in the day - well before the 2 pm cut off for same day delivery. Of course, when I went to reorder they would charge a $39.00 delivery fee for ONE small roll of screen. Terrible service considering it was their error! I stupidly trusted Lowe's to make good on their Kobalt Warranty. No way. The hedge trimmer I purchased 4 years ago and used once a year failed today. They demanded a receipt for the 5 year warranty which of course I don't have. I have thousands of dollars in Lowe's transactions for that month when I purchased 5 different pieces of Lowe's Kobalt equipment. I contacted my local store and customer care where they said they can't look up past 4 years and it was just over that but within Warranty and yes I have the credit card still that was used, didn't matter. Multiple Kobalt equipment issues in the past which Lowe's never was able to do anything for, warranty is garbage, Kobalt brand is dogshit. Even though it's a house brand Lowe's doesn't stock parts or accessories for their Kobalt line or care about their customers. Lowe's is a husk of a company run by zombies, owned by BlackRock and Vanguard same owners as Home Depot. Monopoly exploiting the market at it's finest. I bought a Midea refrigerator from Lowe's in July 2025. It does not cool properly and I cannot get Lowe's to take it back without authorization code from Midea. There's the catch, Midea has dodged me for more than a month and I didn't happen to buy the extra coverage, so Lowe's will not make good on it either! I feel like a ping pong. My only recourse seems to be my credit card fraud dept. I don't see another choice. This is a cautionary anecdote. If you do buy a refrigerator from Lowe's I would advise buying the extra coverage. We bought w/d on June 3rd. It was suppose to be delivered on June 12th. The night before the delivery we got an email that it was delayed 12 more days and would be delivered on the 24th. We were lucky my husband checked his emails or we would not have known it was delayed. Lowe's response is it's not there fault it's the vendors. Then on the 24th we got our delivery time from between 11am to 3pm. At 3pm the w/d had not arrived with no notice of any delays. I called Lowe's to see what was going on, where I got told it was delayed and we were 7 in line for delivery and also received 2 different delivery times. I was looking for a dishwasher and was told that it was not in the store but had plenty in the warehouse. I could get 20% off with a Lowe's credit card so I tried to start the process on my computer. I got the verification code on my phone and put it into my computer. It stopped there and would not allow me to go further. On advice I went into the Yakima, WA store, 65 miles away, and tried to do it there. The customer service rep could not do it on the store computer because I had started the process on my home computer. I went through several phone calls to customer service reps from home for hours and finally was told that my credit application was declined. My now deceased husband and I have never bought anything that we could not afford. The only things that we bought on time were our first house and cars which we paid off quickly. I always pay credit cards off. They are just a convenience. I cannot believe the terrible system which has caused me so much trouble. read more

One of them go to spots when you're a whole grown up. Lowes is right by our house and I have always fancied them because their staff is helpful. All of our house projects start with help from these guys. First during COVID - 19, they are taking the perfect precautions and I am glad they have policies in place that the customers can see and are very aware of. We needed to replace a water meter lid and I had no clue what I was doing. My dad said well call Lowe's and even though they had different options, at least they let me know what the requirements were for the lid and how I could meet them. My hubby and his dad ended up putting something beautiful together. My birthday this last week - I wanted house plants so so badly. Being stuck in a house, I have been going stir crazy but wanted none other than to have plants to love, and care for and understand. The staff helped me pick out some easy ones and gave me legit instructions and I took notes and wasted their time but am very happy with the experience. TL:DR - Lowes has taken 5 months to install a simple replacement sliding glass door. Lowes refuses compensation for work lost even though these losses have been cause by their inaction or poor customer service. If you're getting anything installed by Premier Services via Lowes, cancel your order and go someplace else. Ordered a new sliding glass door in February and it's taken about 5 months to get to the point of inspection. We've had Lowes lose our order in the system after the door was delivered to the local store. Called multiple times to setup install and was told they'll call you in varying amounts of times between 2 days and 2 weeks. Once I finally got them to notice that it had gotten stuck in the system, they took another week to get Premier Services (the contractors) to schedule and appointment. At this point we were a month after the door was delivered to the store. Contractor no-called/no showed twice. Asked to be prioritized because the door Lowes delivered was sitting outside. Couldn't be bothered to prioritize, waited another week. Contactors did 3/4 of exterior trim which they nailed on top of my siding instead of properly installed. Told they don't do inside trim. Contractors asked where the handle was for the door. I told them I hadn't seen one. Lowes lost my handle at some point. Lowes local came by and said they're rush my handle so my home wouldn't be insecure. Called corporate about the trim and they had to send out another contractor (which also could not be prioritized). At this point I'm out 4 days of work. Contractor fixes the trim and we call to find out the status of the door handle. We find out it was not rushed and we could expect it in about a month. For a simple door handle. After I threw a fit, they finally manage to get it rushed, but that still took another week. Door handle comes and no keys for the handle. Call corporate, they reassure me multiple times that Pella can cut me keys based off of the serial number on my lock and we won't need to rekey. They say we'll schedule the handle and lock to be put on when the keys come. Another week passes by and my keys come and I schedule an appointment for install. Another no-call/no-show. 5 days of work lost. Another week out to get an installer for the handle, leaving our house insecure. I know you're saying, "just install the handle and lock it". I was told multiple times that would void my warranty entirely. The only way I could prioritize it was to pay out of pocket to a licensed lock-smith and Lowes would reimburse me. I had no faith that they would with how many times they dropped the ball. Managers and employees repeatedly told me that they would call back an follow up, but I would wait and then have to call them the next day to get the ball rolling again. During this process, was told multiple times that we would be compensated for all the issues we had, but with very vague reassurances from the regional manager Rosanna Thomas. Once the handle was finally installed another week later, I called to discuss compensation. 6 days of work comes out to about $2500. The door cost about $5100. Was told that they don't take time lost into consideration and they could only offer roughly $510. I asked for an itemized explanation and got the run around from Rosanna. Eventually, fed up I hung up the phone. A few days later I get a message from the installers stating that they need to have it inspected by the city. Scheduled my appointment through the installers. Inspectors didn't show up. When I called the City, they said that there was no appointment from my home to be inspected. Lowes corporate isn't able to get ahold of the contractors. Another day of work lost and vague references to "compensation". I was told even though I cannot miss more work, "this inspection has to happen" by a manager at Lowes corporate. read more

I contacted Lowes installation services to get one more quote to have a fence built at my new home. The Sales Rep Jake Koffel is the worst salesman I have come across. I don't know how he survives on such poor sales skills. He comes to my home, I go over all the fencing measurements and tell him what I want. He puts it all in his computer while at my house, he doesn't even give me a copy like the other two salesmen that gave me estimates did. I told him he is in the middle in price compared to the other estimates I received, I said that because he told me about financing options through Lowes I think it best to go with Lowes. He said his installer would be contacting me next after I get the financing application completed. I received a link via email to apply for the Lowes financing. They approved me at a credit limit at half of his quote. I tried to get in touch with Jake Koffel via phone, text, and email to ask some questions. He never returns any of these attempts. The last email I sent him was that I would be paying cash for the difference over what Lowes approved me at. I have heard nothing. I think it best after I read many unsatisfied customer reviews regarding fencing installations through Lowes nationwide. Lowes needs to know who is out there representing them in such a poor manner! Bought a few doors and knobs and deadbolts, plus installation services from this store. Installation time took 3 months. This was mainly because while installation of the doors was going on, only half the required door knobs and deadbolts were delivered. Installation was rescheduled for a month later. Lowe's claimed they had all the supplies now ready to finish the installation. Contractor heads to Lowe's to pick up the supplies and Lowe's says to them: "What supplies?" It was apparently lost in the store somehow. Installation was rescheduled again. Doors were finally installed with the required number of door knobs and deadbolts were finally available and picked up by the contractor. Been coming for quite some time. This isn't a place where you go for great service and in fact I only come here for pricing. I much prefer the service at our local ACE Hardware. I have to be cost conscious though especially on bigger ticket items and often they have the best value here. Service example: Today I was purchasing a lawn mower and couldn't find a flat cart to save my life. Not even in the parking lot. I went to customer (no) service and was told to set it on top of a regular shopping cart. Uhh, yeah, you do that I was thinking. After more searching I found an isle on the far end of the store where many were stored. Lowes North Spokane, WA - The delivery department is beyond stupid! They try and deliver windows and a door to me before my shop is even open. They call at 0630 saying they are 1 hour out. We are very remote so I let them know I can be there in 1 hr and 15 minutes at the soonest. They ask me if I want the windows and door dropped off somewhere. I tell them no I will be there ASAP. So they just reschedule the order I have waited a month for. I call the delivery manager and tell him to contact them and have them deliver today he states they will reschedule the delivery driver isn't authorized to wait. Granted they just drove 2 hours north to get to me. I tell him I am on my way so turn them around. He again states we will just reschedule. I tell him to find out where they are and I will meet them to get my stuff. He then accuses me of threatening his driver. How is driving to meet them to get my stuff a threat? He then states he will just refund my money and cancel the order. I guess the $20K I have spent with them this year so far alone isn't worth 15 minutes to deliver another $4k of product. There is a young sales representative named Nami working as a cashier in the north Spokane Lowe's store. She is aggressive and insulting to the customers. She got very snippy with me when I asked her why she didn't tell me the truth about where I could find someone to help me in lumber. I told her she should not talk to customers like that and I walked away. As I was walking away and got some distance from her, she yelled across the store a nasty name at me. I stopped and turned around and walked back and I said, What did you call me?" She responded, "Well you screamed at me, and I said I didn't scream at you, I can't even scream because I'm very hoarse today. Why do you have such a bad attitude toward customers?" When I went to the self checkout area, she was standing there, and she was glaring at me with a very threatening expression. I just looked at her, shook my head and said I'm going to report you to Lowe's corporate. I started checking my stuff out, and she yelled at me across the room again saying, "You didn't have to say that out loud." She was determined to fight with me and finally her supervisor came over and asked me if there was anything she could do and I said "Please stop this woman from going after me." Her supervisor said there isn't much she can do because Nami has to be written up five times before she can be disciplined. She also told me that they have been having this same type of trouble with this sale clerk for some time. The wind was blowing so hard today that it knocked down one of our wooden fence panels so we made a quick stop at this Lowes on division. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly Lowes personnel with wonderful smiles!! We chatted for a bit and than made our way to fencing. They had some wonderful items on clearance and we ended up purchasing more than we intended. The store was very busy but they had all their register's open so we were in and out very quickly!! Lowe's embodies the big box hardware store experience: massive store with many thousands of items, reasonable pricing, spotty customer service, and an incredibly wide range of employee personalities. When you walk in a Lowe's, the only questions with truly variable answers are "Will I find help if I need it? Will the person helping me be knowledgeable? Will they actually care?". Department staff are the bread and butter of Lowe's - the single most important part of the shopping experience. I've been in this Lowe's A LOT. Hell, I plan on going tomorrow. As far as this particular store goes, I've never had a single problem with an employee - they've all been at least somewhat knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. There have definitely been times where simply finding help can be difficult though, but that can mostly be chalked up to management running a skeleton crew to save money, or the department being empty due to breaks and no one covering. I'll tell you what though, Lowe's (in general, including this one) can be absolute Hell when dealing with their automated phone system and phone operators, so call at your own risk and pray for the best. I've got to give a special shout-out to this stores' installed sales team, especially Brittany. My wife and I have thrown down at least $12,000 on new vinyl windows and carpet just in the last 7-8 months, and there was an absolute slew of problems along the way. The carpet install in particular was an awful hack-job (the windows were done very well though), and I really wish they'd vet their subcontractors a bit better so that wouldn't happen; however, Brittany was with us every step of the way, not only making things right as problems arose but going above and beyond on several occasions as well. Her communication was/is top notch. I hope her supervisor knows that she is truly an asset to their store. Despite the many install issues, I still plan to tap Lowe's for future installs for our house - the fact is, I rest well knowing that they have my back if/when problems occur. read more

I keep trying to throw money at them. This last weekend I decided to tile my bathroom. I went To the NS Lowe's went to the tile area and asked for help about tile tools. I went through three blue vest employees that said they didn't know about tiles. Finally a tile expert came and helped to be fair he was fairly knowledgeable. I asked what tools do I need I was willing to buy the best for ease of use. He said buy the entry level and the best try the cheaper one if doesn't work return it I did. I used the cheaper one it stunk and went to the more efficient one which worked well. I kept the good tools and re packaged the other ones to return. I went back the NS store went to the customer service area to return. I had the receipt that showed I bought both tools. I went to the counter I explained briefly how I was told to buy both she didn't ask who said that, she didn't explain that the employee was wrong nothing she just said she isn't going to return it. I left the tools there to throw away. Whoever the person is that trains the associates about policies, customer service and products knowledge should be let go. He guided me to as for the floor manager who would be there the next day. When I called back, after waiting quite a long time, I was told he would be there at 12:30. We had to arrange a truck to bring the item back to Lowes. My husband and daughter were there on time, but were told the floor manager was not there. On another call, we were told he was in a meeting for a half hour yet. They couldn't stay. I called later and ultimately talked with the manager. He listened with a sincere considerate demeanor, reassured me he would personally take care of the exchange when we returned the next day. He did do efficiently with a kind, personal approach that healed our frustration and fulfilled our exchange needs. We are grateful. We would rate his customer service at 5 stars.
