Customer Services is sooo awful!! I work for a construction company and was trying to exchange a door for another one. There was a miscommunication with the company and one of their employees. I tried reasoning with her, explaining that it was the correct number, and I even tried contacting them for confirmation. I told her to call again, and she said she couldn't help me with this. Not only was she being rude about this, but she kept neglecting any other number that the company was giving me. She even told another worker to neglect any number I gave her and that I couldn't be helped. Basically, they left the account as it is and told me that the owner of the company card had to come here personally. Customer service is HORRIBLE! First of all it's hard to find somebody to help you. I see 2 or 3 walking around together and asked for help. They said someone would be over. Finally a young girl comes over and says the blind cutting machine isn't working. I asked her to get the manager and he says there's been issues but he can try. Worked perfectly. Great experience! My fiancé and I came during Black Friday sales (on Saturday) and received SO much support. We bought blinds for our entire house, a refrigerator, and a rug. We got 50% of blinds which was a GREAT deal & received support from multiple staff members offering us water and offering to walk us through the process of ordering various sizes for our blinds. My , if you can get through to customer service, which I don't recommend because the information they provide is inaccurate. I was told they will cut drywall to size. Then once I get to the cutting station I am told they can't, then the worker says he's going to check and isn't found for over five minutes. This Lowe's had gone down in many categories. The associates they have working as cashiers in the garden department are very slow and there are constantly long lines. They do not keep their shelves stocked (despite the product being in top stock or out in the parking lot). There is a lack of customer service. They do not accept Apple Pay. There are NEVER any carts for customers to use. Nor are there flat beds. My husband is always having to go back outside into the parking lot to get a cart. My dad had a terrible experience at the Merced Lowes. Considering their attitude towards wearing a mask you can assume that the whole store is contaminated. Don't go to the Merced Lowes if you want to avoid getting Covid 19. Below is what my dad went through. This morning I made the last purchase I will ever make at Lowes. As I approached the check-out area in the Merced Lowe's, and the recording about how Lowe's is safety minded during this coronavirus pandemic played over the store's speaker system, a Lowes employee, Dee, walked towards me from the opposite direction. She had her mask on, below her chin. She stopped at the paint counter and struck up a conversation with the two employees there. One of them, Angela, wore her mask hung loosely on her right ear. I paused and waited for their conversation to end. When it did, Dee turned to leave, her back to me. I said "Pardon me, ma'am." She stopped and turned. "Who do I complain to about Lowes' employees not wearing masks?" "What?" she asked. "You and Angela are not wearing masks. Who do I complain to about Lowes' employees not wearing masks?" I repeated. "That would be the manager." Dee replied. "Very well, I would like to speak to the manager." Sometime after that, Dee pulled her mask up over her mouth and nose. Angela, however, demonstrated an attitude hostile to the safety and well-being of your customers. "Excuse me, are you a police officer? Because only a police officer can tell me what to do. Are you a police officer?" Angela demanded, mask still dangling from her ear. "I'm a lawyer." I replied in my normal speaking voice. "Excuse me. What? I can't hear you." Angela retorted. "I'm a lawyer." I repeated, raising my voice a bit. Angela stepped a couple of steps forward, "What? I can't hear you," she repeated flippantly. "I'm a lawyer!" I raised my voice to full volume. "Oh, well, I couldn't hear you through that respirator." She responded and reiterated that only a police officer could tell her what to do. Angela then began ordering me to leave the store. I responded that I would wait to speak to a manager. Angela repeated her demand that I leave the store without making my purchase and I stood firm. This all transpired at or around 8:00 a.m. this morning. The manager on duty finally arrived. Her concern was that I was speaking to her employees, and yelling at her employees. I told her I only raised my voice because Angela claimed she couldn't hear me through my respirator (a cartridge-filter mask I bought some time ago for spray-painting). The manager did not ask me what I saw; she just reiterated that I should only talk to her; I reiterated that I had asked to speak to a manager and waited for her. She invited me to finish my transaction and leave. By this time, Dee was telling another Lowes' employee that she just pulled her mask down to have a conversation. I heard her repeat that version of events to the manager as I left. Angela's mask still dangled from her right ear. I am over 65. That puts me in a high-risk category. My wife is over 65 and has Multiple Sclerosis and a host of other conditions that put her at extremely high risk. I must do what I can to reduce that risk to as close to zero as possible, in Merced, where known cases have doubled in the last two weeks. Dee did not follow Lowe's' safety guidelines when she lowered her mask to have a conversation. In her version, she only briefly lowered her mask, however when I first noticed her she was about 5 yards from the paint counter and her mask was already below her mouth, wrapped around her chin. Angela, on the other hand, demonstrated a flippant attitude and a hostility towards being held accountable to follow Lowe's' safety guidelines and the order from Governor Newsom regarding the wearing of masks in public and in work settings. Regrettably, I didn't think to take out my cell phone and make a video of her comments and demeanor. Had I done so, I would have posted that on social media as soon as I got home. Your manager on duty this morning was more concerned with me talking to her staff than with the safety of the public. She didn't want to hear from me about the exchange I had with Angela, initiated by Angela. That, too, is unacceptable in my opinion. As I said above, this morning I made my last purchase at Lowe's. Since your employees care so little about my health and safety, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Don't buy appliances from Lowe's. I bought a washer, dryer and fridge from them about two years ago. I didn't want to have to worry about it for a while so I bought brand new and added the extended warranty. Well, the washing machine is now leaking all over my floor. I filed a claim with the warranty, booked an appointment, and the contractor showed up a day early and left because I was at work. When I called, he rudely told me that they're not open Saturdays. When I told him Lowe's booked an appointment with them for today, he talked to me like I was an idiot. So now I regret buying from Lowe's. They contract a separate company to handle their warranties, that company contracts cheap, unprofessional repairmen who may or may not even show up... I can't hang my hat on that. Now I have a washing machine that is leaking, a warranty that I paid in full but cannot seem to get help with and no way to get help with it. Looks like I may need to pay out of pocket to repair an appliance with an extended warranty. read more

I'm really disappointed in the service I got yesterday. I ordered online on Sunday, Monday it was ready. I went at 5:00 p.m. for curbside pickup, checked in and waited - and waited - and waited. I finally went in the store and they checked. The order had not even been picked even though I got the message it was ready. I waited another 15 mins and they had to fill the order first. The sellers put in new carpet when I bought my house. First, they couldn't get the carpet she ordered. Since escrow was closing and I needed to move in she settled for cheap carpet. The guys that installed the carpet were contracted through Lowe's. They took several days and were not finished on time. They did a very poor job. There are rolls throughout the floor. You can see the seams and it's lifted. Horrible job!! read more

Such a demeaning work environment from the outside looking in. Went to go buy some supplies for a cleaning job. Had pretty much everything I needed. Was helped out by some employees in directing. It was fine. None of the lines were open so I did self checkout no biggie. At self checkout they have a camera and a large screen showing your face. So demeaning I don't want to see my face or know that I am being watched. Like your are some criminal that can't be trusted. Just awful. The voice in the self checkout system that can't be silenced or lowered and it's very loud and obnoxious. Fix it. What compelled me to write this review though. Was seeing how horribly some employees were being treated by management/trainers. Went to Lowes on the 22nd of August 2022 around 7:45 in the morning. They had a large group of employees wearing red vests all in a circle by checkout. They had a team building exercise of clapping or something. I don't know for what but you could hear everyone smacking their hands together from a few aisles down. Then when I was checking out I was closer to them. I Was able to hear the meeting. Heard one person ask a question. The response to the question was. "You should already know this we shouldn't have to remind about the surveys." How incredibly rude!!! You treat your employees questions like that? If you don't have management that treats employees right how can you expect them to treat customers right? I can't believe that a company with 300,000 employees don't know how to treat them nice and in a considerate way. We had Lowe's home installation services come out and measure for two different fence options and new windows back in October. The professionals they sent out were friendly and knowledgeable so we thought "this is going to be great". Boy were we wrong. We were promised quotes within 24 hours. When they didn't arrive we followed up multiple times via text over the next month, and eventually called the store back to find out what was going on. Finally, in mid December, more than 2 months after the measurements were taken we got one of the two fence option quotes. We never did receive a quote for the second fence option or the windows. Figured if the communication was this horrible just to get a quote there was no way we we could trust them for the install. We ended up going with Home Depot instead as they were able to provide same-day quotes on both a fence and windows and have just been very responsive in general. read more

For the past couple of month, I've been going to Lowe's and Home Depot for house projects. And so this is my overall review of how Lowe's is. Products: 3/5 So the products they offer in terms of appliances and small DIY projects are good. Though, anything in regards to landscaping, it is pricey. So I would recommend going to Home Depot as they offer better deals. This Lowe's is pretty misleading. For instance, there is a gazebo inside the store that I inquired about because there was a $200 reduction fee; and customer service tells me it hasn't been available for 3 months. That is misleading. Because why would you have the gazebo with the product listing as if it is still in stock? And for 3 months. This is the same issue we had with their sheds. Customer Service: 2/5 It varies. When I go to gardening or even at self checkout it is good. I will say that it is pretty messed up that Lowe's lets their elderly employees work in the cold while the younger employees are inside. Just saying. Other than that, the customer service center could use some work. There are a couple of employees who are very nice and helpful. But the ones that could use extra training, it is memorable and should be noted. I'll give you an example. There was a girl in customer service who I was returning the Bissell Carpet Cleaner rental. She noted that the bottom of the rental was dirty. I didn't know you were supposed to clean that spot. She offered me a broom to clean it, but I declined and said I'd pay the extra cleaning fee. [I had other errands to run and didn't have all the time in the world to clean it.] Immediately, she was annoyed and quickly tried to get rid of me. However, I had another transaction which I had to bring up. Please note. I am 7 months pregnant and 5ft tall. I ordered two 6' tables and 8 chairs. They brought out my order. And she didn't even allow me to bring my car up to the front so I wouldn't have a hard time. In fact, I hauled my order to my car. What have I learned? Even though I'm pregnant, I'm less lazy than some of the girls in customer service. To Lowe's, I had to point this out because if you keep hiring more people like this girl, I am certain you will lose more customers. Website/App: 4/5 The app is pretty nifty. It keeps track of your receipts and so on. I think that's clever, because I lose my receipts quite easily. The app is nice in that it can help me locate the items I need if I go to the store or if I order online it lets me know when my order is ready. The main issue I have is when there is a high volume that the Lowe's employees don't immediately set aside when you place the order. Because the app will charge your card/bank account. And when they are out of stock, they force cancel it. And it takes awhile. So, that is something Lowe's needs to work on. read more

Used to be our favorite store. Now? The options for departments is gone, ALL CALLS go to a busy signal. I ordered garbage cans online yesterday, they said they didn't have them and cancelled order. I called, told them the cans were on aisle 2, bay 3 etc, and was on hold for TWENTY minutes before they came back to tell me, yeah, they are in stock. THEN I get an email that says they won't be ready for seven days. After eight calls this morning I get ahold of someone intelligent who says the idiots put the wrong thing in the wrong place, now I have no idea if they are in stock or not. Absolutely intolerable. Went to Lowe's at 9pm and were kicked out by a tall Caucasian man that was very rude. We saw yelp said they closed at 10 am and thought we had time. I understand with covid all hours have changed and we understand that. We knew exactly what we needed and were steps away from it when this man just told us to we are closed corporate will be closing the registers now and did not even offer us help to get what we needed. He didn't bother to ask us if he could help look for an item. We go to Lowe's often and sad to see the poor customer service. Forget trying to call them for information, you will press the button for a specific department and they will answer, claim they aren't that department.. then "transfer" you to the right department and then hang up. You can try to call back to any department and they won't help either. Can even reach a supervisor... Customer service is a joke here. read more

The absolute worst lowes I've ever been to. Lowes are already substandard Home Depot's to be honest. I have never been to a lowes that had competent staff. I don't believe they test their employees knowledge on the products. This lowes in particular has incompetent management. People that have no business being in a hardware store. They can barely read. I went to return an item that was clearly in warranty and they denied me. After calling customer service while standing in line and having the customer service rep call the store. The management agreed that they would honor the warranty like they're supposed to. Then to top it all off, the manager says that she's going out of her way to help... I told her that no she wasn't.
