Heads up, if you are going to buy a mattress, no refund will be given ; BUY A MATTRESS PROTECTOR COVER with it. Without it you CAN NOT switch out your mattress for another one. We bought a $4000 mattress, in store it was soft and comfortable but when we received the mattress, delivered a week later, the mattress was VERY FIRM AND HARD. Called customer service three days after receiving the bed and they said to try it out for 30 days cause that is their policy. After the third day, we had to put the bed in another room because it was just too hard. Then we went to Costco and bought a $700 bed and that one was way more comfortable. So now here we are I can't return the bed. Can't exchange the bed so now it's just a trophy in the house with a payment every month for $4000 Tempur-pedic bed for three years. At least a good part is there's no interest... you would think for $4000 It would come with the mattress cover and guaranteed and refunds and everything all above. I am very dissatisfied. Go to Costco pay that $60 membership fee. read more

A lot of times sales rep PUSH PUSH AND PUSH. Just to get a sale. They don't let you breathe.. and it makes the experience uncomfortable. But Ana was amazing from the time we walked in, to purchasing a bed set. She even set up delivery to be done which also happened the same day. Came because it just opened, and Zac attended us. For like 5 minutes, we asked for sleeper couches and he just said "look at the signs and they'll tell you if there sleepers". I mean the whole point he is working there is to sale right? Instead of showing us sofas and seeing our preference and helping us. He simply told us to look at the signs ourselves. We went in to look around and the sales lady would not leave us alone. "What are we buying today?", "Who are we shopping for today?". Over and over again. We politely asked her to give us some space and she did... for 30 seconds! "What can I show you?, "What do we have questions about?", "Have you looked at our couch selection?" I told her I'm more likely to not buy anything if she doesn't give us space. She would not let up. "You should really take advantage of our sale today." Finally we left the store, drove over to Slaters on 18th St. and bought a better quality couch without the hassle from a sales person. Nothing remarkable in regard to the sales experience at the store. The terrible experience began upon delivery of furniture. I was warned by my sales associate that the delivery service is provided by outside contractors and they can be pushy so be prepared to speak up if I had any issues. We'll, I did. The two men that delivered the furniture made no attempt to prevent damage to items as they unpacked them. Scuffs, scratches and a couch sliced with box cutter. Out of the eight pieces that were delivered, three were damaged. I refused the order and they packed it all up and we rescheduled for another delivery over a month later. I went into store to speak with the store manager to inform him of the delivery service, he responded with "we have been receiving many complaints about the contractors." After getting delivery pushed back over and over again, I cancelled entire order and went elsewhere. It didn't end there. There is still a charge on my credit card for the furniture I never received. I have tried for hours to contact the local store or Ashley's customer care line and finally I get a hold of someone. I was told "sorry the charge was never refunded, looks like someone never filed the refund, it will take up to 3 billing cycles for the transaction to come off your card. Takeaways: Store experience - not bad Delivery - steaming pile... Warehouse scheduling - garbage Customer support phone line and online - waste of time Wow. Going on 3 weeks now and I still have not received my bed frame and there is literally NO customer service when you call. They refer me to the store and the store says to call customer service. Purchasing what I wanted was fine. Mike the salesman, was excellent! It went downhill from there. 3 days later, I got my mattress/ box spring, but NO BED FRAME and i did not get a call that it was on backorder. I called to get the delivery rescheduled. It was suppose to be last saturday. GOT A CALL, EMAIL AND TEXT saying that they would be here from 10 am to 2pm. I called at 2:30 and they said that there were 4 stops ahead of me.. probably now around 4:30. At 5.45, i called again and now they are closed and asked me to call the merced branch. They said they would put remarks to contact me. I got an email that day. I called to reschedule and they said it would come on WED 8.22.23. This time, NO call, email or text, like the last 2 times, so i called and the auto voice mail said i was scheduled for WED..... SEP 6th. AGAIN, no call or anything saying they changed my time. I go to the local merced office...AGAIN and they said that they could not guarantee a delivery and told me another date.. 8.29.23.. I am not holding my breath. It will be almost 1 month before I can get my frame. I will now cancel my frame and see about returning my bed too. Tis is ridiculous!!! We came back to visit our rsa Hannah and was very sad when we heard she was no longer there she was the best we bought our two temper pedi a from her. Check the prices online before going to the store!! I was surprised to find out that many of the items in-store were more expensive (even with 50% discount) than online. The store doesn't offer free delivery either. The salesperson was only willing to match the price if I also purchased the protection plan (the price seemed like it was arbitrarily set but was $30-50 depending on the item). For me, it was more worth it and way more transparent to buy smaller items online, with free delivery and install myself. Also, be aware of the "gift cards" issued by the store. It can only be used in the SAME STORE, within 30 DAYS (expiration date is written on by sales manager), and can only be applied to FULL PRICED items. With how insanely high priced the full priced items are, any of these "gift cards" is not likely to make a dent on your purchase. I wish I knew about all this info before I set foot into the store. The salesperson I worked with was super nice and they have a good selection of furniture. But I was very frustrated and felt a bit deceived by their pricing and "gift card" policy. read more

We purchased a King Purple mattress from the Merced location, and upon delivery, found that it was 4 inches too short. The King bed measures 76inx80in but the mattress is 76inx76in even though the tag confirms it is supposed to be 76inx80in. I informed the store when they called post delivery, and let them know of the issue, and emailed them the pictures of the issue. They sent their own technician out to conform my measurements, which he did. I was told by the store that they were looking into what to do, but I also received an email reply that is "meets the manufacturer specifications, and is not eligible for refund or exchange" which is not acceptable on an almost $3000.00 mattress. I replied to the email and let them know that the store told me they were still working on it, but have heard nothing more for a few weeks now. We also bought a living room set from them previously, but they will never get my business again. Ana the sales person did fine, but the customer care after the issue is NOT acceptable. I even contacted the Purple Mattress company and they confirmed that though rare, this does happen...but they could not take care of it because Ashley was the seller, and we had to go through them. read more

Avoid this store at all costs. Once they have your money they don't care about you anymore. The sales reps are predatory and will attack you the moment you come in the door. They didn't even deliver the correct list of items, the delivery person was cussing and angry in our house and when we tried to correct the situation at the store the "manager" acted like she couldn't care less that they screwed up. Didn't even offer an apology, just looked at us deadpan and said, "Maybe we can deliver the items next week..." Instead we cancelled and got our money back to take elsewhere. They lie straight to your face, anything to make a sale. We will never step foot back in one of Ashleys stores. we were told that the delivery included them putting the entertainment center together. No! they just dumped it and left, when i called them on it they said the customer has to assemble it. with their high prices you would think your getting solid wood. Nope it is only compressed wood. NEVER EVER AGAIN ASHLEY! UPDATE;, Well after getting it almost built we realized they had delivered the wrong one. They gave us a cheaper one. Not t he one we ordered. Mind you we picked the one we wanted off the floor display. The one they sent us wasnt even in the store. and it is $300 cheaper than the one we picked out. So now we have to wait for our ticket to get approved to get the one we wanted and for them to pick this one back up. Incompetent people working in that place.
