This store is absolutely the worst I've ever had to deal with. Do NOT buy from them. Delivery and set up is not free. I had to wait 2 weeks for a dining table to be delivered which I paid $145 for. The delivery guys broke my bench leg. I tried to stop them and they ran out real fast. I called Justin instantly and he said he ordered a new leg that was Jan 20 and he said I would receive it in a couple day..... heard nothing from them so today February 3 I went into store and it was never ordered... the manager was extremely RUDE and said another 2 weeks. And I have to put it on myself or wait longer. I was going back to buy a new living room set with tables and lamps but not anymore. Never ever will I shop there again. The delivery team broke my screen door, killed my flowers to get a hold of people in the store, you just have to go down to the store there is no calling customer service I would never ever recommend the store. After having our first half of our furniture delivered we noticed a mistake. I called the store and I was on hold for over an hour. We decided to drive down to the store where the manager was rude. She did a complete 360 from when she was there selling us the furniture to now where we came back with a return. She said "I'll do you this favor once" It wasn't my mistake it was their mistake. The sales girl erica is the only good thing about this company. Went in to get 2 full bedroom sets. Was told that parts would be on back order for 8-12 weeks. Ended up just taking the bed frames that were in stock in the Lathrop warehouse. Called all day after purchase to schedule appointment to pick up. Never got through to anyone. Finally after being fed up with the lack of customer service after the sale went in for refund. Customer service told me they couldn't do a refund in store and I would have to wait 3-5 business days for a call back to get my money back. Now I'm stuck waiting for a company to call be back that won't even answer a phone. Stay away from Ashley furniture!!! I dony understand why they can take your money in the store and not issue a refund in store. read more

I thought that this was going to be a good, happy experience for me BUT NO! I had to wait weeks and weeks to get my furniture delivery. Today they showed up almost an hour earlier than expected, with no notice. I'm just glad that we were actually home. When they were unloading my furniture I was notified that they did not have the complete order. I was supposed to have two sofa and only got one. The other one is on back order. Ok, Ashley, where was the call to notify me of this staus?! They had ample time to contact me. This is so far from good customer service! They contacted me the day before the scheduled delivery date and even then there was no mention of the back ordered sofa. I called Ashley and the agent was so glib and made poor effort to try to placate me. I understand that items can get back orderd but what upsets me the most is that they made no effort to contact me notify of this updated status. I felt blindsided when they showed up and here I am expecting my full order and have already moved out my old furniture because I have no idea that one sofa would not be delivered. We purchased a King Purple mattress from the Merced location, and upon delivery, found that it was 4 inches too short. The King bed measures 76inx80in but the mattress is 76inx76in even though the tag confirms it is supposed to be 76inx80in. I informed the store when they called post delivery, and let them know of the issue, and emailed them the pictures of the issue. They sent their own technician out to conform my measurements, which he did. I was told by the store that they were looking into what to do, but I also received an email reply that is "meets the manufacturer specifications, and is not eligible for refund or exchange" which is not acceptable on an almost $3000.00 mattress. I replied to the email and let them know that the store told me they were still working on it, but have heard nothing more for a few weeks now. We also bought a living room set from them previously, but they will never get my business again. Ana the sales person did fine, but the customer care after the issue is NOT acceptable. I even contacted the Purple Mattress company and they confirmed that though rare, this does happen...but they could not take care of it because Ashley was the seller, and we had to go through them. read more

Ridiculous experience. I'd give Ashley Furniture Zero starts if I could. Sketchy and employs liars. This review is for an online experience. I completed an online purchase, spending quite a chunk of money, and there was no email sent to me confirming my purchase. I connected with a representative who gave me the runaround, said he'd email me a document showing my purchase. That document was a blank document with no order detail whatsoever. I asked to speak to a higher up team member so they might be able to assist me. He tells me there is no option to transfer the chat. I then requested a document with actual purchase information, and again, I was given the run around. He then said he would send another document to me. No email was received. He then changes the topic and talks to me about the arrival date of my items, which he already provided at the beginning of our conversation. I wasn't asking for an arrival date, I wanted confirmation of my purchase, of my thousands of dollars being taken. Then low and behold, he transfers me to the "OCC team." So much for not being able to transfer chats. Even after being transferred to the OCC team, that member was almost non responsive. Took 5-15 minutes to get back to each of my reply. In the end, nothing was provided to me showing confirmation of my purchase. read more

I bought 3 outdoor pieces of furniture and Daisy told us that after 5pm you have to load yourself but we will have all ready. She told us to go to front door so we did. We walked in and our furniture was at the very back of the store. Daisy went to help another customer while we weaved in and out around furniture to get back to the front door. Unbelievable all while 4 other employees were seating talking at the front door. I said can someone at least go get the pillows for us. Nope. I said wow great customer service I will be writing a review. Smart ass employee said do what you gotta do. read more

Olive Ave, Merced CA 95348 we purchased our very first Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base as well as three bedrooms dressers and bed on August 18, 2021, we spent roughly $17,681.66 on new furniture. Partial of our furniture arrived the end of September 2021. I've had nothing but the run around when we talked to the store manager Mandeep which is no longer employed by Ashley Home Store I then tried talking to another store manager, Gagan and I was getting no answers so I was then introduce to the District Manager Vanessa Sandoval she reassured me she was going to help me but she didn't listen to me nor helped me solve the issues I am having, I've asked to speak to someone else that can make an executive decision and I haven't heard back from anyone since then. Ashley Home Store in Merced, CA phone number (209)500-0355 doesn't work so I had to call my sales rep personal cell phone number which she gave me to leave a message. · To begin with, the day of delivery Ashley's Home Store delivery team didn't haul away our old mattress which I paid for. The mattress sat outside for over a month waiting on them come pick it up and they never came after numerous times we called them so my husband had to pay out of his pocket to find someone to haul it away September 30, 2021. · The day of delivery our Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base bed was installed but both remotes weren't working I then had to call Tempur-Pedic 1-800 number to try to fix over the phone which I was on hold for an hour before anyone got on the phone I had to crawl under my bed and have her walk me though trouble shooting then the young lady was unprofessional saying "Oh well at least we got one remote to work" and she doesn't know why both remote aren't working during the call she was irritated and giving bad customer service. Remind you, just my Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base were about $13,500 and I'm having to troubleshoot my new bed and spend hours on the phone with customers service which I had to take a day off of work. · Ashley's scheduled a technician out to my home in which I had to take half a day off to meet the Technician just to see if he can fix the base and as soon as he arrived he said I'm not sure why they sent me I don't even know anything about Tempur-Pedic. · I notified the Merced store 2 weeks of receiving the Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base that it was uncomfortable and would possibly like to exchange it for a more comfortable mattress, and I was told to give it some time to adjust with the room temperature and my mattress will soften up. · On Monday, September 13th, 2021, I called to complain about our Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base and I was told that they need to adjust with the room temperature and the climate of the bedroom since the Mattress and base have been stored in a warehouse that I would need to give it some time. I've never heard of this but because I never had a Tempur-Pedic I though well maybe so, but no nothing changed. I called Ashley customer care department and they sent out a technician to look at the bed and check the tags an haven't heard anything back from that visit. It's now been 2 1/2 months, and our Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base still isn't comfortable we are very unsatisfied and would not recommend Tempur-Pedic nor Ashley's Home Store!! The District Manager Vanessa called me to offer me an exchange for my Mattress ONLY not my Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Base or store credit. At this point I DO NOT want to do business with Ashley's they are unethical, and they have done nothing but give me the run around. I am demanding a full refund for our Tempur-Pedic Mattress and Tempu-Pedic Adjustable Base, and I will take my business elsewhere. The worse customer service ever! My purchase was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday November 18, then got a text it was coming today. Nope!! I was promised it would be here by thanksgiving and I already sold my old kitchen table. I guess we'll sit on the floor. I have called six times and have been hung up on five times. I even got to listen to a baby screaming in the background. I have spent 2.5 hours on hold and still have no answers I can't even cancel my order because I can't get anyone to talk to me. Went in December 26 looking for a recliner. We greeted at the door by a sales associate that was very helpful. I told her up front that we were not interested in a long delivery wait, and she said we would have the recliner we chose between Jan. 5-8. Being the holiday, that seemed to be a reasonable timeframe, so went ahead and made the purchase. Was told she would call us a few days prior to delivery. When I hadn't heard from Ashley on Jan. 6, I called. Now told delivery would be around Feb. 5. Was also told they never tell you when the delivery would be, so January date was incorrect. So, in order to make the sale, Ashley basically told me what I wanted to hear to make the sale. I asked to cancel the order because of the bait and switch tactics. Was told by sales manager that someone would call me from corporate in 7-10 days to process refund. Wait! Why can't you reverse the charges now? No, that is not how we do it, that we can't do refunds at the store. Yet, evidently they can process charges! I said that was unacceptable, that I needed to hear from corporate by that day. Of course, haven't heard from them yet. Fortunately, my charge card is through my bank, so one call I had charges disputed and reversed that day! So when Ashley pulls that delivery bs and refund bs, just get the charges reversed. Had high hopes for a new business in town, but I should have looked at reviews before I bought. Can't see them being here long with those tactics. Buyer beware! read more
