OK, When i was younger, I could give a Hoot about Home goods, home Improvement stores, when you become a home owner, these places become a great thing!! WTF?? Sign we are maturing , priorities have changed-LOL, but anyway..on my way home from great facial, I needed to pick up some some things. It was close to closing time, & instead of looking aimlessly around, there was a nice looking Guy, So I asked him to help me. He was GREAT!! Of Course, being eye candy helped, but he knew exactly where it was, When i told him what I needed it to do, he knew exactly where & what kinds to get. Hey, smart & good looking too??!! We visited lowes on a fairly quiet Friday night to pick out kitchen flooring. The customer service was terrible in flooring and again at the customer service center. I could not find a sample of flooring and waited to ask the flooring manager. When he responded that they didn't have a sample - I asked if I could take a board that was opened and damaged. I offered to purchase but they told me no that I had to buy the whole box that was opened and damaged. Since that didn't make sense I checked with customer service and they repeated that policy. I will never again visit this store as there is no existence of customer service. read more

This is second times I experienced a terrible customer service. The first time, ordered a door and it took them forever to install it. Ray from the door dept. Called me and when I expressed how I felt about the delay of the installation, this person got angry and hung up on me. The most recent experience was... I went and bought a bag of grass fert. Upon checking out, I asked the gentleman that since I missed feeding my grass during the summer, can I apply winterization grass fert. The gentleman said yes he would suggest it. Well.... Guess what..... It burnt my grass ! Now I probably have to reseed. Shouldn't never taken advise from that idiot at the register outsizq CXde the lawn and garden. He is bald headed , short man. Visited Lowes after doing some shopping around for some windows and sliding glass doors. I ordered them on 3/28/21 and was told verbally that they would be delivered to my house on 4/23/21. With that date that was given to me and also that date being printed on my receipt of when I would have them delivered I went and booked my contractor to start the work at my house which is a huge project on 5/3/21. I got a call on 4/22/21from an Elias and he left a message stating that my sliding door is in and will be delivered on time on the date of 4/23/21 but the 2 windows will not be in until 6/28/21. Of course that is just unacceptable so I called the Maple Shade NJ store back and spoke with a Matt who was a supervisor in Mill Work and his exact words were that he does not really work in windows and doors and they do not manufacture the windows so they cannot give an exact date. I informed Matt that I booked my contractor based on the dates they gave me verbally and what is on my receipt. Matt informed me that Elias will be giving me a call back after his break and I still have not heard back from him or a manager about this issue. I am not sure if breaks are 2 1/2 hours long or Lowes is just trying to avoid the fact that they cannot meet the commitments they give to the customers. I will give it until tomorrow morning to hear back from someone or the next call will be above the store level. read more

My negative experiences here have to do with getting help or service; first getting a propane canister swapped is totally uncoordinated; a few times I had to wait and remind them up to four times that I'm waiting for someone to open that little propane cage. And, finding items, in many cases at home improvement box stores the SOP is to take you to the item you're looking for, here in most cases you'll get pointed in some direction and you're on your own. All n' all, they're convenient, and some of the staff are very nice, while the management I think needs works here and needs to be more pro-active and visible on the retail floor. read more

FOLLOW UP REVIEW--ordered solid service countertops from the kitchen department at lowes in Maple Shade NJ. I was pleased with lucas who took time to explain the order and process . I also picked the brand and type of countertops I wanted. This was a month ago , I was so pleased with the manufacture TOP LINE in Pennsauken NJ. They called me to set up the appointment to measure templates its called . Barbara was extremely pleasant like I mentioned in my first review , this is my follow up review. I got a call a week a half latter from Steven who was flexible with my schedule. He came took the measurement. one week latter Steven and his fellow installer Ross called to let me know they were coming. The guys were great. They removed my old countertops and installed my beautiful solid surface counter tops! They fit perfectly and look great! This the second time I have used Lowe's and for a major project, and both times I have been surprisingly pleased. Possibly the first time I've had a less than stellar trip to lowes in the customer service aspect... Purchased a Worx trimmer a few months back and the safe guard decided to fall off. Ok, we got a warranty, let's go see if we can get it fixed (works fine, did not want a new one). Arrived at customer service, the lady kindly directed me to lawn and garden tools where I encountered John (name change to protect the less fortunate), the 'specialist'. After explaining the situation, we walked down the aisle to see if we could find the equipment (quoted as saying they don't even carry it), reviewed receipts which I thought I had, but did not have the correct one. He suggested drilling a hole into the frame to attach it.. well.. yea.. but self modifications to equipment tend to void warrantys.. Asked if there was anything to do and I got quite possibly the best deer in head lights look. Directed me back to customer service where I asked if it would be possible to look up past purchases I had made with my Lowe's card... kind lady from before said no, purchases made at Lowe's could not be looked up despite the fact that the customer had used a Lowe's card (not sure if that's true, but if it is, get working on that). At this point I'm about to find the sharpest garden/power tool nearby and go Scream style on someone.. I 'calmly' ask to speak with a manager. (Insert angelic ahhh) Enter manager Kim (played by herself). I again explain the situation and she asks, Well why didn't he just fix it?! My turn for deer in head lights with caveman shrug 'ungh'. She smiles and says she'll take care of it. She leaves with the trimmer and comes back a few minutes later with a screw inserted into the slot that needed one.(no I did not have one that fit and figured they might have a proper piece to repair). Moral of the story, any time you're on the verge of going Mike Myers on a floor associate or 'specialist', just ask for Kim and let your worries melt away. read more

If I could give it no stars..... asked some miserable old guy in customer service where to find something. He pointed me in the wrong direction said "12" and looked away (he was wrong). Finally found what I needed, made my own keys on a glitchy machine then went to the checkout. 6 self checkout registers one guy and everyone needed his attention. I couldn't check out because he had to put in store info in order for me to use my gift card. 18 minute later ....... next time I'll order what I need on amazon. read more

Lowes, Why must you do this to your self. You have a beautiful store. Its much cleaner then the other contractor store down the street. Your prices are reasonably compared with the other store as well. The people you have walking the floors are amazing and very knowledgeable. Not being super handy i dont feel like im ever talked down to when i visit your stores. Where you lack in skill is your customer service and checkout.. Walmart has a better system then you did the other night. Your manned registers were all shut down and just the self checkout was open. Please try scanning a trashcan on that tiny little window of a sensor. Maybe putting detachable scanners would help since you know most of your items are not small. And buddy who was there was pretty useless. We picked up a ceiling fan, was told it was 79.99 by the floor associate. The sign above the fan said 79.99. The sticker on the wall. (this wall was also about 15 feet from the register) Instead of investigating, you decided to argue with us about the price. Then after we went and you saw what we saw you became apologetic and gave us the 20 bucks off that was advertised. I am a firm believer that the customer is not always right, but product placement error and computer errors happen too. Might not be back after this experience. read more

I stopped here last night, 14 August to check on an exterior door that I had ordered plus I wanted to order another 500 dollars worth of inside doors since they were on sale. I stopped at customer service first. I was waiting my turn then someone walked in from the outside and jumped in front of me. The customer service guy never noticed. I decided to go back to Projects to order the doors. No one was there. I had someone page projects twice. No one came by. After waiting 30 minutes (I was also asked if I worked there since I had been waiting so long) a Lowes employee finally showed up. Someone came up to him and he started helping them. I mentioned that I had been waiting for 30 minutes but to no avail. I left. Customer service has really gone down hill at this store. read more

This store doesn't know what they are doing with appliances delivery. In-store stock doesn't match on-line stock for the store. Can't handle two delivery addresses from one order. Customer service doesn't know what's going on and refer only to the specific sales dept. They don't talk with their delivery company -XPO. One side confirm for delivery, store side hold back order because of insufficient stock (even after failed first attempt for delivery). Decided to pick up the appliances in person instead of dealing with their incompetent. Ordered two sets of washer online for delivery to two different addresses, later found out that one dryer is not in stock, so I purchased it from another Lowes in another town and picked up. The delivery was supposed scheduled for 4-6pm, got a call from delivery company, XPO, at 6:15pm saying they were running late and wouldn't deliver until 8:30-9:30pm. I told them to rescheduled since no one would be there at that time. A few days later, got confirmation call from XPO night before to deliver from 10:30am-12:30pm next day, waited until 11:45am, called Lowes, spoke to appliances dept, they said order was out for delivery in only one address the other set of washer/dryer would be another date, waited 30mins called XPO, they said Lowes didn't release the order in the morning so they will not deliver. WTF???! I'm just going to pick it up and avoid waiting for them to know what they are doing. read more

The worst customer service experience that I have ever had in my life. Bought a fridge here that did not arrive between the 5-7 days that they said it would. Arrived on day 10 AND was apparently "damaged" while getting on the delivery truck. THEN the Lowe's MANAGER hung up on me!! Absolutely horrible embarrassing service and will never go here again. My $16,000 roof job was a disaster from the beginning. They want full payment up front and promise you will be scheduled in 2-3 weeks but after a month of calling I was told they forgot to order my materials! The installer, Earl, was rude and disrespectful he lied about my materials being delivered to the store but no one marked them received, that wasn't true. I left messages for my Project Manager who never got back to me. Then left a message saying Now that Your Roof is done ? It hadn't even been started. My job was scheduled and rescheduled several times while I got lie after lie about reasons! Finally I demanded another installer and 2 MONTHS after they took my money my roof was done. Shocker they disconnected my attic fan and threw it out, NOW I HAVE NO ELECTRICITY IN MY ATTIC! The dumpster was backed into my lawn leaving long deep ruts and broke my pathway, and the gas lamppost in front of my house was broken, I called Lowe's and as usual was told they would get back to me by the end of the day This must be their MANTR because 2 days later NO CALL BACK, This is what they all say! I've been there twice in the past month to buy rock salt to kill weeds in the driveway. Both times I got Virginia in the garden center to "help" me. The first time it took an hour (yes, an hour) to purchase the rock salt. I wanted the 50 lb bag at $7.77. I showed Virginia the item on my phone. According to the Lowe's website there were 127 bags in stock in Maple Shade. It was up in the rafters, so it had to be done with a forklift. I understand that this is a lengthy process, but after asking for it and doing more shopping for about a half an hour, I went back to the garden center and she still hadn't gotten the job started. I actually think she forgot about me. When I finally got the item, it was a different product -- it was the WRONG SIZE! She brought me a 40 lb bag that cost over $10. I had to get her called back to the register. When I pointed out that it was the wrong item, she told the cashier to give it to me at the 50 lb bag price. I then pointed out that it was 20% less product that I was getting, and that I should at least get it at a 20% discount of the lower price. She then waved her hand at my face and told the cashier to "just give her whatever" -- as if I were the problem. I asked her why they didn't get me the 50 lb bag like I showed her and she told me that there was none in stock. The website showed 127 bags and there wasn't a single bag in stock?... I found that a bit hard to believe. The next time I figured I'd order the 50 lb bag online & have it ready for pickup. (Amazingly, the amount in stock was no longer ZERO!) I got the email saying that my order was ready to be picked up. I printed out the email & figured I'd be in and out in 10 minutes. I'm sure you can figure out the end to this story... I got to the customer service desk and they couldn't find it. They called back to -- yes -- Virginia, who said it was coming right out. After 10-15 minutes I asked the CS person to call again to find out what was going on -- I could SEE the garden center from where I was standing and no one was "coming right out." Again, Virginia said it was on it's way, they were just (wait for it!!) getting the forklift in place! I must say, my blood pressure spiked. If something is "READY FOR PICKUP", why is a forklift involved?? The CS rep apologized, and I let them know that it wasn't their fault but that I was not a happy camper. Another 10-15 minutes, and the CS person went back to the garden center himself to ask Virginia exactly what the holdup was. Over half an hour and I'm still cooling my heels. He came back and quite sheepishly told me that the forklift was out of gas -- but Virginia was working on it! I figured that Virginia would eventually bring out the bag of rock salt with an apology -- you know "my bad", "I dropped the ball", "sorry that you wasted your precious weekend time because of my screwup" -- something along those lines. But of course Virginia isn't that courteous or professional, apparently not a person who can take responsibility for her own mistakes. If it's the wrong item, it's not because she messed up, it's because there's no stock. If the customer points out that they shouldn't have to pay more money for less product, they're basically given an eyeroll. If it's not "ready for pickup" as stated, it's best not to look the customer in the face and say mea culpa. Instead, she sent the youngest associate in the store to bring up the bag and left me with a decidedly bad taste in my mouth. But folks -- I've figured out the solution to my own personal "Virginia: Lowe's associate from Hades" problem! It's called Home Depot! read more

I visited this Lowe's with my sister who lives in the area. This is absolutely the worst Lowe's I have ever been in. We strictly went for flowers and soil. They were having a sale on miracle grow potting soil(2 for 12) and only one was available on the pallet. I asked a gentleman who was stocking hanging baskets and he said, "I will look into it for you" I proceeded to wait by the empty pallet for 10 minutes. I looked for the guy who was originally supposed to, "look into it", he was continuing stocking his hanging baskets. I asked him if someone will be over and he's gave me a rude response and followed me over. Make a long story short he did not want to help me out or find answers to my questions. I checked out and ordered 8 bags of top soil, the cashier said someone will be out to help me. Waiting outside in my car for someone to come over for 15 minutes. No one ever came and I loaded it myself. This store is managed horribly and the staff are awful! Who ever manages and hires the staff this location should be re-evaluated themselves!!!! read more

I have been shopping at this Lowe's for at least 10 years now. I have seen good workers come and go and for a while there I did not enjoy shopping here because the employees seemed so under trained and disengaged. I will say for the past year or so this store has turned around probably because there is all new managers at this location.Every where you turn there is someone asking if they can help you and if they are not sure how to help they find someone who can. When I go the people I ask for are Kirk,Virginia,HeatherAnn,Derek and Denise,they are always willing to help or find someone who is able to help. read more
