When I got to the register the lady (super nice) tried to get the managers attention to ask for approval, but he was too busy watching the Phillies game to care. She had to raise her voice three times before he heard her - he was only 5 feet away!!! After she asked, he said no, and turned back to watch the game. He could tell moments after (probably between plays) that I was annoyed and asked if I wanted to switch cans, but I was so exhausted and frustrated that he cared more about the game than his customer, I just left. The discount didn't matter, what mattered was that he didn't care enough to pay attention when he was needed. Hope the stupid game (yeah, I said it) was worth losing a customer.

I called 10 Th St Hardware to see if I could with my receipt come in and get two more for the two that shouldn't have died within a week and they told me that it was not in the return policy to take back any plants to die I find this so unacceptable. They are seasonal potted flowers and there was no reason for them to die. There was also no reason not to exchange them. I will not be returning to 10th St. hardware because of their customer service.

The workers are polite, on time and don't leave a huge mess behind when they leave. Prices are reasonable. It's very hard to find people who will do this sort of work. We had an old bay window in the front of our house. We had talked about getting it replaced with vinyl, but the styles look terrible. Collingswood Hardware removed each pane and replaced it with low-E, caulked, sanded and painted. They made sure it was done the right way. If you have old wood windows, give them a call.

The manager was so rude and yelled at me when I followed his directions and went down the wrong aisle. I purchased some drill bits from a friendly enough cashier. Turns out I purchased the wrong sized bits and returned to the store within the hour to exchange them. The manager yet again was so rude. He refused the exchange and said the bits were "tools" and non-refundable and said that was printed on the receipt. The tool in fact was the manager. Too bad he is non-refundable. I had carefully opened the packaging in case I had to return it and neatly taped it back together, His argument was also that he could not resell the item due to packaging. I understand store policies have to be put in place but, if an item is non-refundable and it's not obvious, the cashier should say so. No one reads the top of receipts and even if they did, it is given to you after the purchase has already been made. If he had actually gotten off his duff and helped me, I wouldn't have bought the wrong size and would've upgraded the screws needed. Now I'm just screwed for trying to shop local.
