Home depot you say? Home depot doesn't carry the sheer variety they manage to squeeze into place. Heck, you can find stuff here that will have men in black suits showing up at your house. Don't screw with those men, as this place also sells everything you need for waterboarding too. Let's sasche away from such terrible talk and say that this is truly you're one stop spot. Usually not too crowded. As I've mentioned previously my house is 80+ years old, so I spend a lot of time in here picking up various items I need to keep the place in shape. The staff is friendly and helpful, (It's family owned), and there's always a strapping young lad to assist you loading your 300lbs of birdseed or whatever. Watch their hours, as they tend to close early on Sunday, but otherwise enjoy patronizing this old school hardware store!

I called 10 Th St Hardware to see if I could with my receipt come in and get two more for the two that shouldn't have died within a week and they told me that it was not in the return policy to take back any plants to die I find this so unacceptable. They are seasonal potted flowers and there was no reason for them to die. There was also no reason not to exchange them. I will not be returning to 10th St. hardware because of their customer service.

Review for Window Restoration / Window Repair only…read more It's been about a month since our window was restored and I have to say I've been very happy with the results. The workers are polite, on time and don't leave a huge mess behind when they leave. Prices are reasonable. It's very hard to find people who will do this sort of work. We had an old bay window in the front of our house. We had talked about getting it replaced with vinyl, but the styles look terrible. Collingswood Hardware removed each pane and replaced it with low-E, caulked, sanded and painted. They made sure it was done the right way. If you have old wood windows, give them a call.

Since moving to Roxborough over 29 years ago, I have been shopping at Stanley's Hardware. I have…read morenever had a negative experience with their customer service. Last week they went above and beyond, clearly deserving of media mention. Last summer I purchased a Weber Grill. I immediately had an issue with the casters not working. I called Ernie who dispatched his crew to retrieve the grill and try to fix it. It was missing many screws and one of the casters had fallen off. The crew brought back the grill, supposedly fixed but I have had difficulty with the same casters since last year. They will lock in place, and not stay unlocked thus making it almost impossible to move my grill. Finally, last week one of the casters just broke off entirely. This was two days before my July Fourth cookout. I called Ernie back and he immediately remembered me and dispatched another crew to assess the situation . When the crew arrived, they realized they would again have to take the grill back to the shop. A few hours later I got a call from Mike asking me if I wanted to have the repair done by Weber under the warranty or if I wanted them to try to put on new casters. I told them to put on universal casters because I did not want the same casters from Weber. A few hours later I got a call from Mike telling me the repair was complete and could they drop off the grill. I said sure and how much did I owe them. I was then informed I didn't owe them anything. I cannot thank them enough. I especially want to shout out Ernie, Mike and the owners , Mark and Alex Jaconski who run an exceptional business.

Stanley's is the classic small business the neighborhood wants to keep in place for their needs big and small. The best I can do to support them is to continue to visit in those non-emergency moments like when I need a key made or a small piece of hardware.

Also feel a need to address the comments about this place being rude. I witnessed him interacting with another customer in a very direct no-nonesense way. Not rude AT ALL.
