I provided the old battery model 31 P number but Traveller has new Ident Codes and no cross references. I called the T/S in Southampton and fortunately answered by "Kyle". I have an older Case Backhoe and desperately needed a battery. I attempted to re move the failed battery when the single lift handle broke on the 50 # battery. (*Machine partially blocking the rural road) Kyle patiently provided thoughtful suggestions after attempting to cross reference the Traveller model 31 P, suggesting cell pics with a tape measure for physical sizing, confirmed he had a replacement with a Battery lift carrier handle to remove the old battery. When I arrived the battery and carrier handle was waiting at the checkout desk, with Kyle who had finished his shift. Kyle is a class act and a knowledgeable Associate Al C

The store was easy enough to get to, right down route 38, and had great hours, open until 9 on a Monday. The staff inside was super helpful and all willing to accommodate. To my surprise, the store offered all kinds of goods. Everything from your basic gardening supplies, to pet supplies, to clothing, to of course- tractor supplies. While I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon, I know my husband is quickly going to become a regular.

Everyone has always been very patient and kind and very helpful to me. I really appreciate how patient they are with me always. From cutting my Christmas tree to finding a small bolt size, they have always been kind and good to me. I appreciate this small business and am willing to pay a little more for items to keep them in business. Not having a husband, it's nice to know there are nice people out there willing to help me when I need a hand.

They aren't always friendly, but generally helpful, but my last visit took the cake! The owner treated me so rudely that I still can't get over it! First, when I said I knew where to find what I needed, he told me harshly "to stand there and don't move". When I followed him to say I needed something else too, he yelled, "I told you to wait there!" Then, when I was paying at check out, he came back and told me "stop talking to my staff and let them do their work". So, after I paid and was walking out the door I said to the person entering, "Watch out someone is in a bad mood today"; and then the owner really yelled at me. I'm 72, a woman, and he's a BULLY! Its back to the BIG BOX stores for me.

Don't patronize the Lumberton NJ Lowe's location…read more I ordered a leaf vac for in-store pick-up at that Lowe's location, which was the nearest to me that had one -- 45 minutes away. When I picked it up, the box was somewhat crumpled on one corner, but not enough to cause me deep concern. When I unboxed the leaf vac in my garage (another 45 minute trip), I quickly realized that this tool had been used. There was debris in the collection bag, on the impeller, and on the inside of the vacuum chute. The outside of the chute was both dirty and scuffed. I called Lowe's, and the gentleman on the phone first claimed that ALL items sold for in-store pick-up were new. I quickly corrected him. Next, he offered me a 10% discount. If it had been revealed that this was a used tool, I would have negotiated and settled for a measly 10%. But since the condition of the tool was hidden from me, I demanded more. I stopped pressing the issue when he offered me a $25 Lowe's card in addition, but that amount is still insufficient to make up for Lowe's deception. I was offered a chance to return the leaf vac to my local Lowe's, but that didn't work for me, since I wanted to use it this afternoon and tomorrow, and my local store didn't have a replacement. I was offered to have one sent to me from wherever Lowe's had one, but that would have taken a few days, which was unacceptable. Bottom line -- whatever manager of the Lumberton NJ Lowe's store who allowed a USED item to sold as NEW should be fired immediately.

Diamond M Lumber - Shit hole

    Diamond M Lumber

I've been doing business with Diamond M Lumber since about 1980 as a homeowner, not as a…read morecontractor. I have always found them to be responsive to my needs. Their ginormous yard and store have about anything you could possibly want, consistent with an old fashioned country lumber yard. You can help yourself inside the store or they will provide assistance in finding what you need on the huge sales floor. The place is cluttered but they have about anything you possibly need from outsized lumber to real oak trimming, to multiple sizes and grades of plywood and treated plywood. They have many obscure items that a big box store wouldn't carry. Also, they offer bulk purchases of all manner of nails, screws and washers, right out of the boxes, as in days of old. If you are purchasing anything more than a few pieces or quantities of something, the owner will give you an adjusted price in many cases. A contractor I hired for a home addition relied on Diamond M for building supplies, especially since he needed some very outsized micro-lam beams to carry out my architectural plans. The downside of the business is that they are lacking an inventory control system and they use penciled pricing books to cost out an order, due to the lack of any computers at the counter. One employee told me jokingly that if he finds that something is out of stock, they tell the management and they will order a truckload of it! When I was in my prime, and doing a lot of work on my home and property, they came to know me. Whenever I walked in they would acknowledge me. Only once was the owner a bit snippy with me when I asked him a question while he was behind the counter but I didn't realize he was in the middle of some pricing estimates. So if you need something common and simple in small quantities, or if you need a huge barn beam and monster sized bolts to secure it, they will probably have it, or get it for you.
