Don't patronize the Lumberton NJ Lowe's location. I ordered a leaf vac for in-store pick-up at that Lowe's location, which was the nearest to me that had one -- 45 minutes away. When I picked it up, the box was somewhat crumpled on one corner, but not enough to cause me deep concern. When I unboxed the leaf vac in my garage (another 45 minute trip), I quickly realized that this tool had been used. There was debris in the collection bag, on the impeller, and on the inside of the vacuum chute. The outside of the chute was both dirty and scuffed. I called Lowe's, and the gentleman on the phone first claimed that ALL items sold for in-store pick-up were new. I quickly corrected him. Next, he offered me a 10% discount. If it had been revealed that this was a used tool, I would have negotiated and settled for a measly 10%. But since the condition of the tool was hidden from me, I demanded more. I stopped pressing the issue when he offered me a $25 Lowe's card in addition, but that amount is still insufficient to make up for Lowe's deception. I was offered a chance to return the leaf vac to my local Lowe's, but that didn't work for me, since I wanted to use it this afternoon and tomorrow, and my local store didn't have a replacement. I was offered to have one sent to me from wherever Lowe's had one, but that would have taken a few days, which was unacceptable. Bottom line -- whatever manager of the Lumberton NJ Lowe's store who allowed a USED item to sold as NEW should be fired immediately. read more

I have to give a kudos to this Lowe's location in Hainesport NJ. This is the Lowe's I always go to. It's well maintained, clean and everything is available. The staff is always pleasant and professional. I've never had a bad experience. This past November 2024 I bought a Weber grill. Spirit 2, 200 series. I went home and put it together and it seemed like the large drip pan, the drip pan hole was on the wrong side. I contacted Weber customer which is terrible by the way and I sent them pictures and they sent me everything that I didn't need. I went back to Lowe's who doesn't even carry the same grill anymore and told the staff my plight. They said the manager might be able to help me out. Just yesterday I went in to see the manager and general manager. They were ever empathetic. They went in the back looking for spare parts and couldn't find any. The General Manager said to me, "By the way, when you try putting the drip tray in do you go from the front or back?" I said the back because that seems like the easiest way. He said try the front. I did and it fits but it's the worst design by Weber ever. You have to squeeze by the propane line and it doesn't fit easy. I'm a loyal Lowes customer but I was sold a low quality "Kenmore" refrigerator and the manufacturer sent 3 service guys who could not fix it. Now I'm told I need 5 parts installed and I have to wait another 2 weeks for this (they've rescheduled twice already). Feels like they are rebuilding it. Imagine no fridge in the summer. Lowes takes no accountability/responsibility to help. Service agreement only kicks in after manufacturer warranty has ended. Fridge was purchased in Dec. 2024. Nice large store with good, large selections. Be careful they also sell shortcuts that don't work well. Also be careful of buying plants. There are times, especially in the heat of summer when they don't water enough. Use their excellent return policy on plants that die. Still a it's a great source for tools, paint, lumber and lighting, I would strongly suggest not using their wood floor instalation or of large appliances. We've had problems with their tech ability. My wife and I went to this store again this morning. It was the 4th time in less than 2 weeks. It seems that no one wants to work there. We wanted to buy 2 new toilets but it appears that no one works in plumbing. The last 2 times we were there including today, some guy who works in the departmant (older white guy with gray hair, mainly on the sides) saw that we needed help, looked at us, turned away and kept walking. I saw a lady standing around doing nothing so I went to ask her if anyone was working in plumbing but the guy who avoided us stopped and started having a conversation with her. When he saw me walking towards them he turned his back and they started to walk away. This is the same guy who a week ago pulled out his phone and acted like he was talking to someone when he saw that we needed assistance. He didn't realize that I watched him take a few steps and then put the phone back in his pocket! Needless to say we got no help from either of them. Finally a lady with an attitude came by and tried to help. The problem was that her computer didn't work. So a gentleman in the "doors" section helped us. We ordered 2 toilets, one was $199 and the other was $189. We wanted Lowes to install them but cancelled when the price balloned to over $1200!!! Even the salesman was surprised. The worst customer service on the planet. Ordered stove online. Delivery truck shows up, but the driver says he doesn't have the stove. Call lowes lumberton and they say we put it on the truck. They say it's the delivery company's problem. The next day they charge my card for a stove I didnt receive. I call corporate customers service and a very nice lady says a manager from the store will call within 24 hours. I never got a call. We had a storm door installed sometime in April and just recently with heavy rain and especially with wind the door leaks all along the top. We have a retractable window that latches at the top and it does not seem to latch properly and it leaks there also. Tried to call numerous toll free #s to get service/repair without success. I finally had to go to the store personally speak to someone in that dept. The man called a number then gave the phone to means the person I spoke to said we would gat a call within 48 hrs from repair service but it's been over 96 hours and no phone call. Once again this lowes disappoints. I ordered flooring and spent $4500 for the flooring and install. Day before the delivery of the flooring I got a call where the guy told me they would not put the flooring in my house. After a little back and forth, all cordial, he said he could figure it out for me. The next day i got a call that the address was wrong and delivery time changed. The address was an address that wasn't even on list. The guy from the night before changed the address to screw me because I wanted him to do his job. The flooring department came out to measure my home for carpet that went well only because it is subcontracted out. step 2 my wife and I went in to pick out carpet and paid for it. step3 we are waiting for install. 1 week has passed and we get a call that associate made a mistake and I needed to come in and pay additional 1,760.00 I said that math doesn't add up the carpet on sale was $2.00 a square foot @ 744 sqft = 1488.00 they expected me to pay a total of 2,867.00 they said I needed to pay labor but it was free install any carpet purchase over 699.00 so iv since move on and spoke with a manager who said she would look into my order. she doesn't return calls. Last night I asked the *knowledgeable* guy in the pipe-fitting aisle if I needed to use gas sealant or if I could just use teflon tape when changing the regulator on my gas grill. He told me that I don't need to use anything. He said he's never anything when he does it. That answer did not seem right because propane systems are charged at many times the pressure of natural gas, and joints in natural gas lines must be sealed with tape at least. And, my B.S. detector was going off from him acting like he'd done it numerous times, when changing a gas regulator on a grill is a once maybe twice in a lifetime repair. So, I picked up some yellow teflon tape anyway. This morning, reading the instructions that come with the new regulator, there is a very stern warning to use sealant and not to use teflon tape. It's important to use sealant, not tape, and the Lowes guy tells me that I do not need to use anything?!?! That guy should be fired. Some customer is going to listen to him and blow his house up. I'll be driving right past Lowes to buy my sealant from Home Depot. read more

Ordered a gas range Night before delivery they tell me it's out of stock. So I cancel the order. Go into store. Purchase a range to be delivered on Saturday before Easter so I could make dinner. They have 2 in stock at store so I'm told. Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock I get a call. It's not going to be delivered they damaged it on truck. It will be two more weeks. I went here on Father's day weekend to pick out a riding mower and I went to an associate who seemed bothered to help me, I told her that I needed it to be delivered and she said we can deliver it Monday or Tuesday and I said let's do Monday and asked what time should I expect it and she said we don't guarantee delivery or a timeframe since it ships through a 3rd party company and I said well I have a job and need to know when to pick it up and she said we all have jobs sir then I asked to speak with a manager and she pointed and said he's over there. I talked to him and same thing he couldn't guarantee a timeframe for delivery and I would need to sign for it.. I began to get annoyed and said fine I'll just buy it on Amazon and he said as I was leaving "I'll take the next customer who would actually want my help." like I didn't want his help... then it gets better I end up going home and ordering it from a Lowe's different Lowe's store which then routed me back to this store and once I ordered it I get a call saying that the delivery company will call me before 9pm with a window of when to expect it on Wednesday. well that night at 9pm still haven't gotten a call so I reach out and ask them what time I can expect the delivery and they said it will be there between 9:30am and 1pm and I stayed home from work and waited all day and wasted my entire day because they didn't show up... 1pm comes around and nothing so I call again and then the customer care says they can't reach the store and then they tried calling the dispatch for the delivery company and it just kept ringing so she couldn't help me... finally I get a notification saying they changed my order to come before 9pm I waited and nothing... so I call again and the person I spoke with said it was ready to go but never made it on the truck and now he says we can deliver it tomorrow and I told them I can't miss another day of work and I said is it guaranteed delivery tomorrow and they said we can't guarantee it will be delivered tomorrow so now I don't have my mower and I'm considering cancelling and doing business elsewhere... Waited from 8:15 am and finally called back looking for the manager was hung up on 4 times. Finally got Joe the manager at 4:15 pm he said he would help and get back to me. This is 10 days after I ordered my stove! He never called back- so on January 5th I went to the store and canceled my order. An additional 10 days with not a call. So I come into your Lowe's store in Lumberton on Route 38 in NJ for a pickup order that I was alerted would be ready this morning. I come to pick it up hours later and I call the curbside number multiple times and no answer. I waited over 10 minutes. I then come inside to wait in line for 20 minutes and the my order can't be located and I wait another hour. I ask to speak with a manager named Pete who simply didn't care. He blew off what I had to say and simply said "were busy". To busy for the customer who purchased a $400 door. I am a business owner who spends thousands in this store. I can surely say based on Pete alone that I will never return to that Lowe's and I will be sure to let others know not to return either. I purchased a new washer and dryer at the Lowe's Lumberton location, My sales person was awesome, but then it went way down hill from there. The delivery process and delivery guys were awful. They were unable to disconnect my old dryer from the gas line and caused an issue with my home gas line. This resulted in the fire department, police, PSE&G, and other to have to come to my house. Not a fun way to spend a Saturday. So then, the installation for the new dryer sitting in my garage was scheduled for today. When the delivery guys / installation guys came and hooked up the new dryer, it was broken!!! Long story short, I tried to resolve the situation with a store manager who was not working and spoke with a "customer service" person. No help there at all. I was told I needed to wait 5 to 7 days for a new dryer even though there were over 6 dryers available at other Lowe's locations in the area. It was my idea to check other stores. No one at the Lumberton location even suggested that. Seriously??!! I was told that I needed to speak with Eric who manages deliveries. He never picked up the phone and then I was disconnected. I realize that a broken dryer is not the fault of the store, it was a total lack of trying to resolve the situation for a customer. A total lack of feeling valued in any way. That my issue was just that, my issue and I would have to deal with that. I then went online and purchased yet another dryer from the Maple Shade store and its scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Thank you Brian at Maple Shade for being a great guy and helping to schedule it ASAP. I will not shop at the Lumberton Lowe's ever again even though I live around the corner from that location. Worst Lowe's run store that I have ever seen. The store is a mess, customer service is horrendous and the home installation services are a disgrace. I purchased 10 high end Pella windows, measured wrong, could not find them when they were delivered, multiple trips to my home to remediate. The previous year I had purchased 40 Pella windows from Pella....installed like a well oiled machine. Avoid this Lowe's and any services they want to sell. We were supposed to receive our delivery today that we ordered a week ago. We received a phone call the night before with a drop off time between 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. When 2:30 arrived and we had not received our purchase, it took us an hour to get through to dispatch. They put us on hold and contacted the driver who said he was two stops away. 7:30 pm, still not delivered. Called dispatch again who put us on hold and said she talked to the driver, they were on the way. 8:30, no delivery. Called dispatch again. Took 40 minutes to have a dispatcher answer our call. She said our delivery was never on the truck and it was cancelled. We waited all day for our delivery. Things happen. If they had just called us to tell us it was not going to be delivered, we would have been understanding. The fact that the dispatchers lied to us is unexceptable. And the sad part is, Lowe's could care less. We will be shopping for our future home improvement needs at Home Depot. read more

I made an on-line purchase of custom shades thru Lowes. When they arrived, I was not able to check them due to other remodeling. When I did, I saw the measurements were not what I ordered. The Lowes rep on the phone was very rude & refused replacement. I called the manufacturer & they reviewed my account & agreed to re-make the blinds. The new blinds are off again. They are strung too short & don't extend to full length. There are cordless blinds & pushing then up is no problem. Pulling them down is tough. The don't move with ease & are very hard to pull down. I paid over $500.00 for these Bali custom blinds & I would think they would operate with ease. I also thought that after one re-make, they would have gotten it right. Customer service told me the blinds should have 21 slats. These have 18. They might work if they didn't tie off the strings that work let the blinds lower to full length. Save your money & don't buy custom Bali blinds from Lowes. I did & now I'm out over $500.00. Big waste of time & money. read more

Ordered a grill online a few weeks ago to be delivered to the store .. received several emails confirming that my grill was ready for pick up. Went to the store, rented a truck and was told that my grill could not be located .. this was after 45 mins of waiting for them to get it from the back . Representative at the pick up counter offered to have it delivered for free on Saturday. Saturday gets here and we are told that they will deliver between 130 and 330. We call the the delivery number at 315 and we're told that they have not left the store yet. We are now on the phone w the store. It's is 330 and we have now wasted more hours waiting for something that will prob not be delivered today. Another big box store that lacks a streamlined process. ***update*** A gentleman by the name of Ian was very helpful. He was able to get our grill delivered and offered us some perks as well for our inconvenience. Thank you Ian for knowing what true customer service is. We actually stopped by the store today and he came out to meet us. Nice touch. I upgraded to 3 stars from 1 for the overall experience but Ian gets 5 stars! read more

I spoke to 3 employees during this trip, all of which were EXTREMELY rude and spoke down to me as if I was a moron. When asked where I could find light bulbs, I was directed my another employee to "go down there". Once I got "down there", I asked yet another employee for help finding a certain wattage. He looked at me, told me this isn't his department and walked away. This was by far the most frustrating experience and will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Avoid this store at all cost!! Purchased a washer and dryer set a month ago once I found out my closing date for my new home. Received the confirmation that they were all set and ready to deliver as expected. The day of, no call. I called the 3rd party they use which was a pain in itself. Come to find out 5 calls later after being hung up on the manager in duty Jerry, canceled my order and I was told to call Lowe's and see why.. another 3 calls later I am advised that Lowe's never placed the order for them to have possession the even deliver the order because apparently they don't stock gas dryers. The only thing I was told is they can pull strings to have it delivered in another week... in my opinion appliances aren't cheap, and there is plenty of options out there, do your research and steer clear unless you want to waste a whole day waiting at your home with the intention of a truck pulling up to your hone with the delivery! read more

Everyone in our family knows the teams over there and they have even treated us like family. Nothing like walking into a store and the girls at the Pro desk say good morning by our names. I even got hugs from many. They know what we need before we ask. I have many neighbors too that rave about how much this store has changed. It is a treat going here and getting great prices too. Lowe's of Lumberton NJ has been the most unorganized and unprofessional service provider I have worked with in a long time. We ordered new wood flooring for our stairs and hired lowes to do the installation as well. We paid over $4800.00 for our stairs in full at the time of ordering back on April 7, 2021. Since collecting our money, it has been nothing short of a nightmare dealing with this company! Lowe's of Lumberton not only ordered the type of wrong flooring so we had 2 different wood colors, but they also charged us for roofing material (without our knowledge). To top it off, Lowe's flooring department did not return our calls and when we attempted to reach them by phone- we were placed on hold each time for over an hour at a time before someone would finally just disconnect the phone on us. Because we could not get through over the phone (despite leaving SEVERAL MESSAGES on a daily basis), we were caused to have to go into the store. When we went into the store, we were promised a credit for all of the delay caused by Lowe's errors and of course, still no credit and no response. It is now June 18, 2021 and to no surprise, STILL NO FLOORS and no return phone calls. This is the most unprofessional store I have dealt with in my life. I ordered and purchased installation of shades. The whole process was a disaster, to begin I had to speak to three managers just to get the installer to call me, then when he finally calls he tells me he had an incorrect phone number funny because my paper work had the correct phone number and anytime a manager called they gave them my phone number again. He finally comes out to do the measurements I should have cancelled it but I decided will give them a chance the installer was apologetic. Receive measurements, order shades, shades come in and the store called the installer to let them know everything is ready to go. A week later I still receive no call from the installer. I call back to Lowes speak with another manager now this is four managers involved. He called the installer they have every excuse in the world then state they will be calling me in three days. This has already been a three week process to get 4 shades installed. I will never recommend to use any installers from Lowes Home Improvement. I have heard other horror stories but thought about giving them a chance never never never again. I will be visiting the store to receive a full refund. If Lowes Home Improvement are recommending these installers they should do their homework on the installers, they are representing your store.
