We had a Dekton countertop installed 3 weeks ago. This was from a complete Lowe's kitchen order. It chipped inside the perimeter of the sink edge after accidentally laying a small plate on it. We ended paying 400 bucks to repair a half an inch of damaged piece. All they used was epoxy for the repair. I was told via email and on the phone, this was normal wear/tear and that we didn't buy the warranty. Our fault for not buying warranty and even going with this product - SOL. Two lessons from this experience; 1 Dekton sucks and is not as durable as advertised and we should stick with Granite or other product. 2 - Ilkem doesn't care about their customers. Before you buy from Ilkem, check other reputable countertop vendors. Disappointed at Ilkem and Lowes. read more

Buyer beware- First of all customer services is horrible. I walked into this store and started out with a male sales representative and after 20 minutes, he switched me to a female sales representative, saying that she can help me better. I came back a second time with my husband, and they knew who I was and gave me a different Sales representative. They all seemed unfriendly except the owner who was helpful in negotiating a deal on the stone. That was short lived, because right after the measurements were done, the owner called me yelling about I was giving him a headache and the measurements his guy did are accurate. Well, The guy who came out to do the measurement for the counters, Had measured the hole for the faucet in the wrong place. The installers had to remove the Stone to be sent back to store for refrabrication. They also installed a stone table top for my island and left pieces of plank sticks underneath, I guess to keep the table even. I wish this post would allow me to show pictures for proof. There are other small tid bids but I hope you get the point. read more

Where do I begin ?? I decided to use Lowe's to renovate my kitchen and bath. I have seen friends and family use them and loved the finished product. Lowe's was fabulous Tina Newman was personable and so knowledgeable we felt confident in our decision to use Lowe's. Our cabinet removal and installation went perfectly. Now for the counter tops. A man came to measure. He took our new sink with him to make sure it fit perfectly. The countertops were installed and looked beautiful. Now comes the backsplash which I was continuing up the walls. The same man Mustafa came back to measure for the backsplash and told me my sink was too big I had to rip out the wall to fit the backsplash and faucet. I thought what ??? Why ?? He said oh your sink is too big. I said it's the same sink you took and measured. I called Elkum directly with him standing there and they were so rude. They told me they couldn't help me call Lowe's. No one wanted to take responsibility for the obvious problem.... He measure wrong !!!! I told him to leave and my husband would call. Well my husband called and they agreed to install a new countertop and we needed to put in a smaller sink. We bought a new sink they ripped out the countertop they installed re measured and put a new countertop in with a new sink .... Gets better. The same man comes out to measure for the backsplash .. Mustafa.... We waited another week & backsplash arrived! I was so happy I thought ok great we will finally have a kitchen and bath after 2 months... nope !!! While installing they damaged my new cabinet frame and 2 doors... and guess what??? They measured wrong and left with half the backsplash missing !!!! I give up. I called they sent a new person out. He was shocked at the damage and just kept apologizing. My walls were all scraped with gouaches of wall missing and the brand new cabinets I have never even used yet were all scraped. We now keep getting phone calls for our final payment for the counter top!!!! They say job is complete!! Really. I don't think so. When my new cabinet doors are replaced and my wall is fixed I'll pay them. Moral of the story. Yes use lowes but don't let Elkum in your house. read more

I pretty much spoke with a lot of staff members here, front desk, sales, cutters and installers. I had a special job since I wanted to use metal brackets for my kitchen island. Before I found Ilkem I went to other 4 Marble companies who turned me away by not having installers with enough experience doing this type of job. The installers Vallardo and his helper Keith did an AWESOME JOB!!! It took them quite some time but my kitchen island looks gorgeous ! My friends and family keep Complementing it! It gives a beautiful look to our kitchen ! read more

I've been dying for years to get granite in my kitchen. Ilkem made my dream come true! When we arrived to look at the slabs, I told Al what kind of color scheme I was looking for and he brought me to the exact kind of slabs I was envisioning. I could not believe the selection they had. He really knew his stuff and made ordering a breeze. I ordered on a Saturday, got measured on Tuesday, and installed on Thursday - I couldn't believe how fast. Prices were all very reasonable. The gentlemen who measured and who installed were all very sweet. Thank you Ilkem! read more

Do not use this company! Ilkem Granite cracked an island countertop upon installation. They admitted fault but refused to reimburse us. The installers did a fine job installing the new countertops but after they left we noticed a huge hole in the wall from where they carried the counters in. I understand things happen but was annoyed they didn't have the courtesy to tell me. When I called to ask Ilkem if they would send someone out to patch up the hole, the owner yelled at me! He called me a "f*cking *sshole" for complaining about the hole. I just spent several thousand dollars in your shop and you have the nerve to call ME a f*cking *sshole after your guys damaged my house and didn't bother to let me know?? I didn't ask for money back or anything unreasonable- just repair the hole. They are super unprofessional and rude. If your project goes smoothly they'll probably be fine to work with but if there are any issues be prepared to get this kind of treatment. read more

They did a good to great job. I would give 5 stars, but the quartz waterfall wasn't polished in an area near the kickboard of the cabinet. You wouldn't notice it unless you looked down at the floor. The installers did an excellent job. It was also not polished (you can see writing on stained into the quartz) on the underside of the bar overhang. Overall I was very happy. I would recommend them. I didn't catch these problems until a year later when I was on the floor. read more

Just had Quartz countertop installed and am thrilled with the results! Is truly so beautiful, even placed in my small townhouse galley kitchen, It will take some time before I can use. Will be staring at before usage for a while! + Installation very smooth, quick, clean and professional by Bayardo and team. Could not be happier with selection and end to end purchase experience. Highly recommend. read more

We are extremely satisfied with our experience purchasing a quartz countertop from Ilkem. From our sales person who was able to take us directly to the slabs in the warehouse that fulfilled what we were looking for, to the person who came out to measure, to the men who installed it - everyone was professional and knew their craft. Plus it was installed in a week. Highly recommend! read more

Positives first - the piece of granite is gorgeous (though I had an installation issue (gap between the granite and a chase), that my contractor fixed by extending the backsplash) and the price was competitive. Negatives - if you experience any issue (in my case, charged for things I was told are included), you must call 5 times, each time being told "no problem it will be taken care of", to never see the adjustment. When I called the final time, I was given the owner who called me "honey" etc. multiple times, while raising his voice. Terri was very helpful in finally getting an adjustment made to my credit card. If this has been done after the first call, my experience (and rating) would have been much different. But the amount of time I had to invest left a sour taste in my mouth. I have been in the process of renovating an old home and have done a LOT of work with various contractors and suppliers and this is the first time I experienced such customer service. read more

Ok, good recovery from Ilkem. After I spoke with the owner on the phone the following day, they sent someone out to re-measure the vanity top and had a new one in place by 6 pm the same day. I have to say that Ali, the owner, was very anxious to make this right and did it quickly. The new marble top looks amazing. So for all that, they deserve 4 stars for an outstanding recovery. Thanks Ali and crew. read more

It's been a while since I've met such an amazing costumer service! We picked the stone and scheduled an installation, but our kitchen wasn't ready on time, so we rescheduled (twice!), then when they came I didn't have the cooktop, so they coming again now that's finally here and it was very easy and quick to schedule. The staff was great, the price was good and the turnaround was quick. The installers were awesome. It took them longer than expected with some difficult angles on the backsplash but they took their time and did a great job. We were very impressed and are very happy with our new granite. Update: changing from 5 stars to 2. We have an 18" dishwasher so the 24" bracket they brought didn't fit. I forgot to ask about it before the installers left and when I called today to ask about it I was informed they didn't carry an 18" bracket so they couldn't help me. If I got the bracket on my own they could see what they could do about installing it. Seriously?? I need to get it on my own? That's lousy service after the sale. read more

Tried to charge us for 6 square feet extra of granite. Came to about 500$. Then when we confronted them about it they hung up on us. So we called back and they kept going around in circles throwing numbers out there to try and confuse us. Finally dropped the price to what it was supposed to be but when they came out to install our seems are terrible. One right in the middle of our sink and instead of putting it on the corner they put it in the middle of the slab. read more

Incredible. I am a contractor and work with granite fabricators and suppliers often. This was my first experience using ilkem and I was impressed from start to finish. We hired Ilkem for our granite countertop in our kitchen per a recommendation from our contractor. We picked out a reasonably priced slab of granite however the installation is horrible. Unfortunately we did not inspect the work as thorough as we should have because the notching around our cabinets is so bad and when I brought a photo into the showroom for some help I was told there was noting they could do for me. Wonderful customer service. If I could give them negative stars I would. read more

I almost never write reviews but this place was so good, they deserve to be recognized. This place was great and had excellent prices. We picked out our desired stone and within a couple weeks everything was installed to perfection. I was so frustrated after going to a couple different stores to pick out countertops when a friend finally recommended this place. (He's a contractor and only gets his counters here) . Irem helped us out. We picked out a stone and within a couple days this place was ready to come out and take measurements. The counters and backslash were installed within 2 weeks. Additionally, the staff that came out were very friendly and super helpful when installing the stone. We had a few questions along the way, and Irem would always get back to us even after hours via text or email. I really can't say enough about how excellent their customer service was. Everyone was so friendly from the second we walked in to the store on day 1 until the date of completion. I've already recommended this place to a few friends. Trust me. This was place EXCELLENT. read more

Worst wort worst worst worst company ever. Do not buy anything from them. Customer service is horrendous and even the owner is an ignorant, rude and nasty person. They changed my installation to four different times in one day. Never apologized and it was their mistake. The installers went to the second installation first and so instead of moving them to my house to do the job that was intended for 8:00am I was supposed to wait now to 4:00pm or maybe later because they kept moving the time. They ran into issues at the second installation site which they did first. I was given 8:00 am, then 1:30 pm, then 3:30pm and finally 4:00pm. But who knows what time they would get here and they didn't apologize nor follow up, if I didn't call they would never tell me they were running late. Final straw was when the OWNER asked me if someone in my home died or was sick, I stated no, he then said why then am I giving his people a hard time. Oh I don't know maybe because you suck at your job and so do they. I hung up on him. I cancelled my order and installation. If you don't want to have to deal with ignorant people then be sure to go to someplace else to get your countertop. Oh they deserve a minus 15 for a rating but you have to put at least a one star. read more

Had a horrible experience with Ilkem Marble and Granite. I picked out granite about two months before I had it installed. When I picked it, the owner promised that it would be identical to the one I chose. I was very trusting and did not insist on looking at the actual pieces he saved for me. Two months later when I went to see the template, I found the slab to be totally different than the one I picked. ( I had a sample of the one I picked and there was not one color that matched. ) I took the slabs anyway (my fault again) and when it was installed it looked terrible. One seam was matched perfectly, but the other looked as though they put together two entirely different pieces of granite. It did not blend at all and it is quite an eyesore. Even though he claimed to have told me what he was putting together, I assumed that he knew what he was doing and he would match the pieces so they looked as though they went together. Everyone who looks at the granite cannot believe that a reputable company would do such a poor job. The granite cost me thousands and I am very disappointed in both the product and the company. read more

Fair price, poor installation. The sidesplash was obviously cracked on an edge and glued back on; we did not notice until the adhesive began to turn yellow a few days later. A few scratches in the marble...We also had trouble with the service: they made an installation appointment for us without consulting us, or even informing us. We found this out when we went to make an appointment ourselves. We changed the appointment to an afternoon time that we worked for us, only to have them come in the morning when no one was home. Not a big deal, until we called and the owner yelled at us over the phone. When he realized he was wrong, yelled like a banshee at his staff while we listened. We will get our next piece from somewhere else. read more

Recently purchased granite counter tops from Ilkem for a kitchen remodel. From start to finish, the experience could not have been better. The service in the showroom was fantastic. The installers did a phenomenal job and left no mess behind. The counter top seam is almost invisible due to the granite cutter doing an amazing job matching up the granite pattern. I would definitely use Ilkem again and highly recommend them. read more

I admit I'm a tough customer. I wanted a light color granite that sparkles at a price within my budget. Al who helped me took me into the slab room, and I immediately asked him to help limit me from the get go. They have tons of slabs and you could spend hours walking in circles trying to decide. I had my backsplash tile and told him I wanted something that didn't show dirt, so to speak and was easy to keep clean. He helped me limit it to 6 choices and then I came back with my husband. We walked around and looked again and picked the Sand Streak Quartzite my 1st choice. Schedule template, I went back to pick slab and 3 days later install. The two men that did my install were the best. They were polite, clean, professional and funny. They took their time and did a wonderful job and were very informative. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Writing this review is unfortunate since my husband and I referred a few family members to Ilkem because we really love our granite counter top. Recently our sink completely collapsed due to it being improperly installed a few years back. My husband who is a contractor compared the screw locations between ours, my parents and mother-laws as they were all past clients of Ilkem. He saw that when ours was installed the installer must have created too large of holes and filled them with an adhesive. Overtime that adhesive failed to hold the sink brackets which caused the collapse. My husband went into Ilkem where he spoke with Al who told him that their warranty is only good for one year. My husband reiterated that we have sent our families that in total have spent over tens of thousands of dollars, but Al refused to fix their mistake and not honor their work. Al instead only said that he would send out someone to fix it but we'd have to pay a service fee. My mother-in-law was all set to have them install new granite but she has recently cancelled. Now knowing how they cover up their faulty installs and then not owning up and fixing their mistake, has turned us all off to Ilkem. read more

Used Ilkem granite to replace a granite island with a larger piece. Also had them cut me a piece to make a table out of. Very disappointed in their customer service. While their prices were good, they lied to me about using the slab I picked out. I picked out a slab and they marked it with my name on it with a white sticker. I stopped by the store to lay out the piece (which they suggested I do) and they had ripped off the sticker with my name on the slab I had chosen, covered it with a green laminated sign and cut a completely different slab already. When my husband called them to speak to the owner about it, the owner got on the phone and was screaming at him and asking him what his problem was. Their accountant had to take the phone away from the owner!!!! When I called her to ask her what was going on, she told me the owner always acts like that. When they came to install, the installers were in such a rush to leave, all they did was clear caulk the outer edge of the island, but didn't glue the granite in place underneath. After they measured it into place, I thought they were going to lift it up again to put glue, but instead they started caulking the outer edge only. I didn't have time to question them about why they didn't glue it down first, bc it was too late to do it since they already caulked the outside and lifting it again would get caulking all over my cabinets and drawers. The piece is ogee edged and there are uneven spots all over the place and one rough spot that needs to be polished out. There are also scratches on it that the installer pointed out to me bc he tried to use a black dye to cover them up. That's another reason why I know they didn't use the slab I picked out, bc the one they wanted me to use had scratches on the surface and you can faintly see them on the granite they installed in my house, even though they tried to polish and dye them. I didn't bother to call them to polish out the rough spot or scratches bc I feel that with the customer service the way it is, all that would occur would be another heated telephone conversation. With that said, their templator was excellent and their accountant is excellent as well. Their prices are very competitive and their turn around time was 2 business days from templating. Would I use them again? No, because no one deserves to get insulted for asking them to use a slab you picked out. I paid full price and didn't pay for a remnant piece. Also, why let a customer pick out their slab if you are not going to use it. Why not tell the truth and just say you are using a different piece and let the customer decide what they want to do. If I knew they would use a different piece, I would have taken my business somewhere else. I would rather pay more and get exactly what I want. I will be filing a better business bureau complaint about them too. read more

we purchased a very nice slab of granite for our kitchen. the man came out with the laser and made all the measurements. we never saw the templates. they installed the granite with two problems. the island slab was 10 " too long and one section of the other slab was not cut straight. it curved out about a half inch from the wall. all the walls were new wall board and straight. we made the island mistake work for us but were told that the curved cut was what was measured and the backsplash tile would cover the mistake. i was shown a printout of the measurements and the laser measured wrong. i talked to the owner on the phone and he said there was nothing he would do. he did take something off the bill. the backsplash tiles do not cover the mistake. nice granite, bad installation. read more

I used Ilkem for my new granite in my kitchen. Every step of this process was easy and meticulous. I've waited a long time to install this stone and I'm so happy that I chose Ilkem on Springdale in Cherry Hill. The fabricator ( Tim) listened to my ideas during the template review and he cut the stone exactly how I envisioned it. The gentleman who came out to template was on time and was meticulous in his work. Everything fit perfectly. The installers (V and his team) were fabulous. My granite looks seamless. The biggest shout out I have for them, beyond how pleasant, how neat ( cleaned everything up and took it with them)they were, is that they saved me heartache down the road. I have double dishwasher drawers and they realized that if we just reinstalled them on the floor as they were, that later on, I'd never be able to get them out. They took the time to talk to my handyman and explain what needed to be done to raise the floor and to make sure that the unit could be removed for repair or replacement in the future. You don't find that attention to detail everywhere. I have two more bathrooms and a powder room to do and there's no question that I will return to Ilkem for my stone needs. Thank you, Ali and thank you, everyone at Ilkem for such a fantastic experience. I've recommended you in the past and I will continue to do so! Well done. read more

I was a little leery after reading some reviews online, but I am happy to report that we had an excellent experience with Ilkem. We had them install kitchen countertops, a powder room vanity and also a hearthstone. Chose Ilkem because they carried a textured matte black countertop that was very difficult to find (they call it Blue In The Night). During selection in the warehouse, they were friendly and helpful, and gave us an excellent price. Communication with the office staff was very efficient. Turn-around time was as-promised: 3 days from measurement. We were not yet ready, but they were patient and accommodating. Installer Gene and his assistant were polite, professional and very conscientious and completed the job within the anticipated 3-hour time frame. Throughout the install, they would call us in to make sure every piece was placed and set as expected. Clean-up was thorough, and countertops were in pristine condition when they left.
