Ultimately we decided to go with Elite Flooring because of the price. Let me tell you the quality of job they do is worth every penny. They pay very close attention to all detail and work extremely hard to make sure the work is completed on time. These are the types of businesses you have no qualms about giving your business to. But the backsplash tile work is horrendous. Especially in the corner where my sink is. They must not have measured properly so every time I open my cabinet door next to my microwave it rubs against the microwave. I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before the paint rubs off. I already have paint chipping off on certain cabinets. During installation of the tile work, the worker walked through my newer screen door and put a hole in the screen. I was told that they would replace the screen. But once the work was done, it was quickly forgotten. I would've called to complain, but when they had already down the demolition they told me they gave me the wrong estimate and wanted to charge me more. I argued with them and ultimately was only charged the original quote but it made me feel as if I were to point out anything I wasn't happy with, they would try to charge me extra so I just stayed quiet.

However, the work Aromas did on the floors of our home is so atrocious that others should be made aware. We had a pipe break in our home last year and it caused significant damage to the first floor and the basement of our new construction home. On the first floor, one half of the wood floor needed to be replaced (ironically, the poor leveling from the builder allowed for only half of the floor to be impacted). Because we were new home owners, brand new to the area, and expecting our twins in less than two months, we went with the recommendation of a local expert and hired Aromas to do the floor. We continue to pay the price for this poor decision, as the quality continues to deteriorate. The repairs took over a month, and despite a lot of back and forth about mismatched coloring, wood marks, etc., the floors were "completed" with numerous splits and defects. Enough so that the company's owner came out to see the work. While they attempted to fill some of the larger cracks, it was done very sloppily and fixed nothing. What's done is done, but it's shocking to see how one side of the floor differs from the other. Please see the included photos for proof. The difference in quality is obvious and it's unfortunate. In retrospect, I wish they took longer to provide a higher quality product. But more than anything, I wish we never hired them. The floors split more and more every day, and are now becoming hazardous to our small children who are now crawling and running around with bare feet. Be warned.

They worked around my schedule to get the floors in my entire house refinished before the holidays. The quote they gave me was accurate and they provided receipts for the materials they used. It was surprisingly affordable, considering I had both my upstairs and downstairs refinished, as well as 35sq ft of floor replaced. I have 2 very big, energetic dogs and after meeting them, they recommended a commercial finish for the floors to help protect them from dog shenanigans. They provided me with the information needed to make a decision, however, were not pushy about the upsell. I very much appreciated the looking out for the best needs of the floor. The communication throughout the process was excellent, I spoke mostly to Mike from the very beginning. They updated me daily about where they were in the process, providing pictures and timelines. After meeting Steve, there was an authenticity about him that none of the other contractors possessed. Every question that we asked him, he was up front, honest and listened intently to our wants and needs. After receiving many quotes, unfortunately then, we knew we had to save up before we could afford to have our kitchen done. Fast forward to the end of 2019 and we were ready to take the plunge! We knew that Steve was our guy. We gave him a call, he came back out several times to take measurements, design, etc. We had a start date of March 2020. Surprise... COVID! Everything was in limbo and we decided it was best to wait. Finally come August 3rd, 2020 Steve and his helper started demo work. Our final completion date was mid October. During construction time, I had two other friends getting their kitchens done as well. The horror stories they told me of their contractors being late, not being honest, charging more than what the contract stated, etc. had my husband and I feel like we hit the jackpot finding Steve. Many contractors now a days sub everything out and don't lift a finger. Not this guy! He is there every day, doing the work, and is passionate about his craft. He is meticulous and will not cut corners, leaving you a project that you are proud of. Steve is arguably the hardest working human my husband and I have ever met. When you hire Steve, you don't just get a contractor, you get a friend...that turns into family. My husband, my two children and I fell in love with Steve. He brought us joy daily during the two months he was with us and has become part of our extended family. We miss seeing him frequently, but now get to enjoy the work he did on our home daily. All of our friends and family that have walked into our home think we hired a high end contractor and designer for our project. We hired an expert handyman - the name says it all.
