Bought a dishwasher three weeks ago with no contact about installation . Call store wait 10 minutes to get an operator then no one picks up in appliances. Finally get someone who then gives me the third party appliance number which is totally AI who then informs me installation is in two days . No choice or notice or ability to change it. Overall, I like this store. The employees outside of their customer service department are awesome people. I thought I'd give them another shot today. Nope, it's truly horrendous. I just ended up driving over to Home Depot or, in the past, Lowe's in New Hampshire. This time, it was comical. I watched one of them working hard, but she had a line out the door and didn't have the time to chill. At the same time, the others stood around watching one of them as she was entering items off a receipt one at a time. Of course, that was the line I was in. I watched a few customers behind me coming and going before I just ended up taking off. I got a good chuckle, but I learned my lesson again. read more

Been here multiple times and they are lacking in service. One: I need to cut wood and there was no one that was able to help me. Two: knowledge is poor on what they are selling. I usually don't write a review but with my worst experience with fence installation that Lowe with the 3rd party contractor, they charged me $14K plus for the work but they did a terrible job compare to my last installation with Home Depotit took them 6 months to finish the job but they still didn't complete the job. I called and messaged the sale person name Mark several he barely return and when when he called back he said he will had them fixed but ended up didn't do anything, called customer service they transferred around and not solved any thing. They left all the trash and messed....they still owed me 2 caps post and the fence is loose etc. so so disappointed....never get the service there anymore.... read more

Ordered a washer & dryer on line Lowes.com it was fulfilled by this store The delivery company they used first said they had tried to deliver and we were not home, LIE. We watched the PENSKE truck from our front window. They delivered the applianced, muddy, scratched and with a bent exhaust pipe. They gouged my walls and smeared mud up the wall of the stair. They tore the grill off of an air conditioning vent. There was hidden damage because when the licensed plumber and gas fitter installed it today it began leaking as soon as we put in a load of laundry. The water came down and damaged our kitchen ceiling, dripped from electric lights and the smoke detector. LOWES has never responded to the original damage to the machine or the walls. read more

Came to return a tool that was broken as I opened it. I brought it on sale. They first told me I couldn't return it. I would have to pay the higher price. I asked for a manager. I got a guy called MATT with an attitude. Wanted to let you know that he didn't care what any other place did he works at Lowe's and that's how it is and I'll trade it, but you have to pay for it so we'll put it back on your card and then you have to pay us again for it. Started speaking loud and try to down. Talk on me And told me oh I don't have to do this. Customer service sucks plain and simple being in the military, I wanted to find out if he was in the military because he had military coats on. I have no respect for this. They wanted to talk down to you and try to overly aggressively Shoot you down never recommend this company. I'm a retired vet of 40 years a lieutenant colonel and your customer service in Lowes is terrible. Everyone needs to know about it. here is shoe in front of everybody so they look like they're correct especially when you have a sign in front. Say, please don't abuse. March 7: Decided on a dishwasher from Lowe's & submitted payment (add a hose & the fees for hauling away old dishwasher. Delivery is confirmed for Friday, March 10th. Friday March 10, 8: Delivery on time. The 2 gentlemen brought in the box to the kitchen & asked if we had the old dishwasher ready. we didn't understand, but we pointed to the old dishwasher which was still in place! This is when they both looked surprised & said that the dishwasher needed to be uninstalled (& a plumber would need to connect the new one)! we told them this was not indicated anywhere. But they insisted (understandably) that they just deliver. We asked them to leave the dishwasher & that we'll call Lowe's to see what the issue is. Friday March 10, 8:32:wife calls Lowe's customer service, & reaches a representative (Myra) & explains that nowhere on the page where we bought the dishwasher, nor the emails that we received after, was there any mention that we needed to pay (or arrange) for uninstalling old dishwashers and installing new ones. She told her sorry this happened but it is known that this is how it is with dishwashers. For the following ~10 minutes they keep going back and forth- she says it should be known, &my wife reiterates the fact that it is not RIGHT to assume that I know. we knew the instructions that we read. After a couple of back and forths, I ask to escalate, & she was OK with submitting an official complaint, but then has to go back and say that it is not their fault. She then told her to please stop saying that- they know certain things, but most certainly as a customer we shouldn't be assumed to know it. This is when she hangs up! Friday, March 10, 8:49: we were stunned that my wife got hung up on. she was not rude,not loud; just stated facts. & she hung up. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt & see if maybe the call disconnected, cause it does happen. We waited for about 10 minutes hoping to get a call back (she had the order # & all the phone details ). We didn't hear back, so we called again. Another representative answers & my wife gave her a brief and asked her to check the recording to confirm! She apologized on her colleague's behalf & confirmed that the complaint has actually been submitted and a manager would be calling within 4 hours. This is when we asked them not to call back on my wife's phone (she wouldn't be able to answer), & made sure they would call my phone. She said she made a note & said to wait for the call. Friday, March 10, 1:20:Of course, who do they call?! wife's phone! & she sees the missed call. My wife called me to see if maybe they reached out to me after,but they hadn't Friday, March 10, 3:57:my wife calls them back & again ask for them to have the call back made to my phone. we didn't expect anyone to call on Friday again, but made sure it was still not on my phone. Monday, March 13, 10:35: My wife calls back to see what the status is & told that someone did call later on Friday (no missed calls nor voicemail). they said it was on my wife's phone! Again! At that point, she asked the representative to completely delete her number & just have my, since following simple instructions seemed to be an issue. She confirmed & said that someone would call tomorrow (Tuesday). Wife told her that this couldn't wait any longer and that we needed to speak to someone today. She put her on a hold to check and then came back to tell her someone was available to speak. she was on the phone with one of the escalation managers & reiterated the issue. Nathan said he could connect us with the installation team & they would give us a quote which could change once the installation takes place. After hearing him out,we were confused, so asked him if we will be expected to pay for the installation. and he answered yes! This is when my wife told him no..we will not be paying for the installation. Had we known about this before buying it would've been OK. Just like they clearly highlighted that we needed to buy a certain hose, and we needed to buy for hauling away the old dishwasher, we expected them to tell me that we needed to pay for installation! He said this cannot be waived. My wife told him then I certainly don't want to keep the dishwasher &we want to return it, and this is when Nathan says we are passed the 48-hour return policy! This was coming from a manager at LOWES. not some random store in the middle of nowhere. LOWES! I told him I didn't want anything from Lowes at my house &needed to return the dishwasher (which was not opened of course!). And he still said that was policy and nothing could be done. Just a few points: we went back to the website,& nowhere does it mention that we needed to pay for installation. If it was, we would have def. paid- cause why wouldn't we!? Email confirmations & vid walkthroughs were also the same. I really hope no one buys from Lowe's anything. It would be the worst exp. I recommend NOT purchasing from Lowe's. We bought a dryer (& purchased the installation package) on July 4th and were told we'd be scheduled within 2 weeks never heard from them and after numerous phone calls (to the store and corporate) we were told they were having trouble obtaining the permit (gas dryer) I called the town & was told permit never requested it's been almost 2 months and no dryer or communication from Lowe's! Today I cancelled the order at Lowe's and purchased at a local appliance store. Awesome customer service & have an actual delivery date of 9/6! I visit this Lowe's very often to buy plants and paint. Today I went in to exchange a paint that my roommate had gotten, it was the wrong shade of color even though it was color matched by the machine. The man who helped my roommate did not ask what kind of finish she needed and took it upon himself to choose eggshell. It dried a lot darker than the color I actually needed so I went to go exchange it for the correct shade and finish. When I went to the paint help desk, I spoke to a man named Hal. I explained to him how the paint dried darker and wasn't the correct finish. He immediately seemed like he didn't want to help me and was irked at my presence. He said that the finish "didn't matter". He was rolling his eyes the entire time, interrupting me, and laughing at anything I had to say. He was extremely disrespectful, rude, and made me feel stupid for asking for another paint color. I asked him if he could just get me a new can of paint but in a lighter shade but he insisted I go exchange the first can before I get a new can. I really didn't understand why he couldn't have just made me a fresh new can instead of having me go back and forth. I exchanged the paint at the customer help desk and asked the customer service representative to have someone else assist me after that horrific encounter. A man named Rob came over and he wasn't any better than Hal. He also seemed like he didn't want to help me and told me I need to go color match the piece of paint chip I had myself. I asked him to please show me and he did so unwillingly. I asked him if the finish mattered and he said "it absolutely does", which is completely opposite of what Hal had said after belittling me. I asked him who the manager was and he said he was the manager and I told him I did not like the way Hal talked to me, and that it was extremely rude and unprofessional. He said "well I'm new here.. I'm a new manager but I've been in management before.." Okay?? It was pretty clear that he also did not give a shit about the service/image he and his employer are giving. It was honestly so frustrating to the point where I had to ask two other workers to pass on the message to the assist manager. I'm not sure if the message was forward but I sure hope it was because no one should have to feel the way I did because of paint. I ended up having to go to another Lowe's just so I didn't have to deal with these assholes, and the workers in NH were much nicer and more helpful, and they also agreed that Hal was wrong about "the finish doesn't matter" when it does. read more

I cant believe that this is a post i need to write about a place that i literally use at least once if not more per week! Im so angry I had to yell and scream at an employee in the middle of the store today. while walking in the plumbing department where i was looking for a new exhaust fan my 6 year old son and 3 year old daughter had an accident that should have never happened. an employee working on putting stock on the top shelf pushed the stock and drop 2 exhaust fans on my children's heads. I thought for sure that there was no way someone did this and it must have been unstable boxes. an employee was on a man lift restocking the shelf. why wouldnt the area be blocked off for safety i understand that this is an accident but what if the product that fell was heavier or sharper. this is so unacceptible. while i was talking to one of the manager on duty all his could say was "im sorry but that is company policy" the policy leaves it wide open for people to get hurt. i attached 2 photos to show just how high these fans where and how high they were stacked. i know it seems silly but i told my son we needed to make another stop and insisted on wearing a hard hat just incase. read more

I am taking the time to complain about a terrible experience occurring today - November 20, 2020 at Lowe's Store # 2657 in Lowell, Massachusetts.  While browsing the store, there were multiple mice stuck on oversized glue traps on the floor of the aisle in the customer/public area. These animals were crying and struggling to free themselves from the glue. There were at least a dozen oversized glue traps under empty shelves, in clear view of customers.   I entered the store around 7:00 p.m. and visited the indoor lawn and garden section where the bird seed and bird feeders are kept. These items are clearly offered for customers like me that appreciate wildlife and endeavor to make their properties attractive to animals so they can observe and enjoy them.  As a regular customer, I know that there are often birds and rodents in these areas, because of the available food source.  I also understand that a large commercial building like Lowes is required to take actions to control rodents and other pests.  However, it is appalling that you would lay out a carpet of glue traps in the public area for passers-by to see and hear the death of these little animals. To make this decision even more ridiculous, the bird seed is stored on the floor of the store - with multiple bags of seed ripped open. This food will attract many mice, only for them to die a slow death in the cruel glue traps.  It is unacceptable that your improperly stored food attracts mice, only for them to suffer and die, then remain on the floor for your customers to walk by and see.   A quick search revealed that your use of glue traps is well documented and that multiple organizations have lodged complaints demanding you stop using them.  I too demand that you stop using the glue traps in your stores. read more

This is a review for the delivery company that works with Lowe's. They were a day late for our appliance delivery and I had to call to find that out after not hearing from anyone.. THEN,they can't find the house even though the GPS takes you right to the address. They forgot the dolly so they had to carry the washer/dryer themselves which they were annoyed about. THEN they proceed to tell us the washer/dryer will not fit through our hall way even though we of course measured everything prior to ordering them. After going back and forward they said "Fine,that they would try". It fit. THEN they brought the wrong dryer cord so weren't able to install the dryer... so I still have a non working dryer because we had to buy the correct cord and install it ourselves all in between moving into our new place. So un professional and inconvenient. Never again . read more

Went in because we are doing a new deck and am buying a smoker. Anthony (sorry I forget the last name) but his wife works as a cashier as well. Anthony couldn't have been more helpful and was truly professional. We ended up having to order the smoker through the website because the one we wanted was not stocked but no problem shipping to the store in less than a week! I hate to echo some of the previous reviewers but the service really can be hit or miss (we found it in the same visit!) - I won't name the person that didn't live up to expectations (mature woman in the grills/smoker area) BUT I will recommend you speak to Anthony (I think he works in decks/decking mainly - again could not have been better). read more

Under no circumstances should anyone acquire "install-able" windows, doors, etc. from Lowes. This is doubly true if you are expecting Lowes "pros" to handle the installation job for you. My wife and I elected to replace our front and deck/patio door at the end of April of this year. We went down to Lowes, Lowell, MA and spoke with their "Mill-Work" department manager. We gave them the go-ahead to come out and measure the site and paid them $35.00 for that "service" understanding that the $35.00 would be applied to the job cost as a credit (PS that never happened FYI). They took upwards of 10 days to come out (eventually), measured and returned to Lowes with the information. I went down to their store based on the agreed upon date to place our order 4 times land never seemed to be able to accomplish that goal. There was always an excuse why it couldn't be done with a request to call and make an appointment. We did, three more times only to find that the fellow who was to get the paperwork was always with a customer and unable to see us. We waited and waited - seemingly "forever" and never saw him that day. We asked when we could go down and finally order the doors. And we never got a straight answer. Even dates with the manager didn't clear us for a trouble free purchase. Everything at Lowes Lowell seems to be messed up with Managers jumping from taking care of appointments to handling anyone or everyone who comes over to their area. They jump from one to another and seemingly "forget" that we were there. What a disaster way to handle customers. When we finally sat down with the designated manager, I was told that I had to come back as the paperwork seemed to be lost. We did come back 3 times over a 10 day period, finally connecting with the assistant store manager, John D., who discussed different door options and recommended two doors which would fit our condo. We said OK. Then we gave them the info they needed to get the OK from the condo board so a permit could be sourced and the job completed. Now the doors were, supposedly, ordered. We were told that the doors would take 21 days (plus) and, if they arrived damaged, it might be double that length of time to get replacement as "each door was "customized". So we waited, and waited, and waited - calling the assistant store manager, talking with their installation department over and over again over a 4 week period - NOT 21 days. Now we're into our 60th day after we placed our order. For 2 doors (BIG DEAL)????? The doors arrived (undamaged thank the Lord) and we were told that the installer would call and schedule the install. Then we waited and waited and waited - calling the Lowes assistant store manager to inquire why we hadn't heard from him. Eventually 10 days later, we received that callback stating that the installer was ill/sick and although we had a serious problems with the ol' doors, it wouldn't be until the end of July (3+ months later. The 1st date he could install the doors would be the end of the month of July. And we would be the 1st job he's done in the past 3-4 weeks. Great news. So we call the assistant store manager and find out that this installer was the ONLY INSTALLER that Lowes Lowell, MA "had" in its list of approved contractors. No "fall back position". My wife and I intended to acquire 10 replacement windows for our condo once we were confident that the Lowes experience went well. We "gave up" on Lowes and proceeded to go to HOME DEPOT (Tewksbury, MA) where we ordered 10 windows by phone - to arrange for a no-cost quotation. We found that Home Depot was the most organized, well managed and logical company to work with - and once the "go" decision had been made, we were given a INSTALL date of 4 weeks from the date of the order - that day that the fellow came to measure. THERE WAS NO COST for the quotation. Since that time I've been called by Home Depot twice (in 4 days) with a clear definition of what was to happen, when it was to happen and when the final installation would be complete (early August). I give this information to show what a HUGE DIFFERENCE exists between LOWES and HOME DEPOT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES. Their systems don't work, their managers and line staff are frustrated at the problems this lack of systems causes and only have the option of "making excuses" over and over again. Unless you have a desire for pain, Home Depot is a better choice. GUESS WHAT? I do not work for Home Depot or anyone else in the DIY (Do It Yourself) Industry. read more

If I could give negative to infinity stars I would... In January I purchased a new slide in Samsung oven and purchased the 3 year protection. It blew up a week ago. Samsung won't cover it. LOWES won't cover it, they had a guy come out and claim it was my fault and now we have to pay him too. HUGE SCAMMERS, do not care at all it has been an absolute nightmare. Customer service is horrible and most are very rude. Aisles and products on the shelves are messy and disorganized. With the exception of a rare few employees, they have little interest in helping and seem frazzled all the time. Online orders take multiple days to be picked and inventory is not accurate at all (and the employees don't want to even look for items). Yesterday, I placed an order in the morning and got an email that said all items were delayed for over a week. When I went later that day to pick my own order, I found all of the items. When I went to customer service to cancel the online order, I was rudely told it is not my job to do that and I should just be patient. When I asked for a manager (at 6:45 PM) to give them feedback, I was told they were at lunch and were not available (while the manager was standing on the other side of the service desk). Congrats Lowe's of Lowell, you just gave Home Depot a new customer. NEVER GOING BACK! read more

The delivery service company was horrible. They called me two hours earlier than the set time they were supposed to deliver my furniture, i confirmed that my wife will be home in an hour. She went home the see a skid pallet outside my house. Me with a bad back and my wife look at each other like who's going to get hurt doing the lifting. I thought they supposed to help bring it in the house at least. I called the customer service, they didn't do much but just listening to me complain. At least take ownership of the inappropriate delivery process. It could've been stolen, damaged or i would of gotten hurt trying to lift etc.. I didn't signed for anything delivered. Lowes need to re-evaluate who they use for delivery service. I like lowes but ordering online with them for any big item, I would not recommend it! read more

The replacement floor is still subpar and Lowe's attempt to wash their hands of this hack job, won't even cover the cost to repair it. Their contractor's as iffy at best and they are no help if the job doesn't go well. My parents paid Lowe's so they wouldn't have to chase contractors around. They had to anyways. read more

If you want to WASTE 3 days only to buy a washer and a dryer, go to Lowe's! I think you cannot buy such experience from anywhere else!!! I brought a washer and a dryer from lowe's online shop, and this store fulfilling store of my order. At day 1, the deliver guys showed, and then told me I should buy a hose and a dryer cord, which I didn't prepare for the install. I'm inexperienced in install such things, so I won't blame Lowe's for that, although when I brought the washer and dryer online, the web page didn't remind me that. Then the story begin: At day 2, Lowe's contractor called me at 9:30 am, saying they will come in 20 mins. I have to go to the deliver location and wait for them because I haven't move in. But they didn't show up for the entire day! The number called me didn't answer my call, didn't reply me voice mail and my text message. That day was totally wasted by waiting. At day 3, three young kids from Lowe's contractor company showed up. And they installed the stacking kit into a wrong direction, the dryer is not level!! Those kids are really unprofessional, did the job like first time doing such thing. The apartment I lived in have a side door for deliver, the concierge asked those kids to use the side door, but those kids insist to use the front door. After those kids left, I found they installed the stacking kit wrong, then I called Lowe's customer service number, the lady was very nice and told me she will redirect my call to the right person, but then it transfer into an automate answering machine, the machine told me they are out of office hours, at Sunday 5pm, while the store is still open! I have to drive to a nearby store, told them about the problem, the staff at the other store was nice, and they schedule another team to fix the problem. At day 4, finally someone came and fixed the problem. Then I turned on the washer, and I found there is no water in the pipe/machine, then I found those kids at day 3 left the faucet turned off. That's my story of buying a washer and dryer from Lowe's. I got a lot of surprise from it! I would definitely RECOMMEND Lowe's to anyone who wants to spend 4 days for a washer and a dryer. Or who likes unprofessional contractor kids. Or who wants their washer dryer stacking kit installed wrong and enjoy finding and fixing the issue. Or who doesn't have a home that don't have worry about those non-sense stuff. read more

I have to say that Lowe's was one of my favorite stores to go to we redid my son's bathroom we were did my bathroom and we've spent a lot of money there well today I went in to look for plants because I'm on an orange kick I want orange petunias well evidently I picked up my plants I wanted purchase .. and then went out to go to my car and this one gentleman stopped me and said the guy in the store is taking pictures of you and I was like oh my God who well he couldn't tell me exactly who because he didn't want to get the person in trouble and he really didn't want to get involved but he did want to let me know that pictures were being taken of me so I went to the service desk and asked why was someone one of your employees taking pictures of me well the woman at the counter said and I quote this is the world you live in so someone was taking pictures of you if we can't even tell you who it was it was taking pictures of you well unfortunately I will never go to Lowe's again especially the one in Lowell read more

It's the third such experience I've had there in the past two weeks in this store. If you know what you need, this store is adequate. But if you think you might have a few questions or need even a little bit of help, you're far better off driving the the closest Home Depot, where they actually have workers on hand, who can help you. read more

I stepped three feet into Lowe's to pick up an order. Prior to COVID, I would have said this was a good shopping experience. But today's world is different. Of the five employees I saw in the short time I was inside the store, only one continuously wore his face mask correctly, two had no face masks at all and the other two wore masks covering their mouth but not their noses. read more

This is the worst Lowe's I have been to. Their customer service is severely lacking. While I understand that Home Improvement is one of the only things we can do during quarantine, meaning Lowe's is busier than normal, that is no excuse for the attitude, and lack of, not only customer service, but common decency I received while working with every single Lowe's staff member. I was looking for flooring, as well paint. The paint associate looked as if I had bothered him by asking a question, did not answer my question and vaguely pointed me in a direction to fend for myself. When asking an associate about the flooring section, I was told "It is picked over, it's over there, good luck." I was urged to make an online order, and assured it would be filled quickly. I went home, made my online order and waited. Two days later I called about the order status and was told that someone would begin working on it. The next day I called to inquire again, as I had not yet heard back. I was told I was an order among 500, and there was no way to tell me where in that line I was or when my order would be filled. I shared my frustrations and was told the customer service representative would go check with the department. I was left on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on. I called back and asked to speak to the same employee or a manager, I was put on hold then hung up on again. I called back for a third time, to share my frustrations and was greeted with an extremely rude, condescending employee who told me my frustrations were irrelevant as he had 10 customers waiting in front of him. I gave him my order number and he immediately hung up on me again. Lowe's should consider bringing in new management or closing this location. read more
