When we bought our house in August, the former owners were planning a long term visit to Australia and had no need for a mower. For a small fee they left it behind. It was in rough shape. I can't imagine it had ever been serviced. It caught fire a few times when I used it from the oil dripping off the back of it. This can't be that same Toro Zero Turn. Mine didn't have Toro logos on it. If it did they were cover by layers of dirt. This can't be the same machine. I didn't know it was a Kohler engine. For one, it is much easier to turn and I'm concerned that you may have accidentally switched it with a much newer model. Are you sure that the motor should sound this loud? My old mower didn't have this much compression. It also left behind a strip of uncut grass in its path because the blades were so dull. This one cuts like a dream. Whatever you did to it seems to have worked. You can keep it. I'll take this new one. Thanks!

My best advice to anyone looking for a lawnmower is to NOT BUY it from Lowes, and not to trust Toro products, because they have zero care for your problem with their product. We brought a mockup picture of exactly where and how the windows and patio door were going to be installed including arrows showing the direction they needed to open. Everything was taken into consideration; lighting over the doorway, airflow from the windows to the seating area of the room, everything! Yesterday our contractor put in the windows and OMG they are all opening in the wrong direction. We now have a $5000 window/door disaster with tens of thousands more being spent on this project that took us years to afford. We found no help from Lowes, just offered to let us buy more windows. Evidently windows that open from the left to the right on the inside of the room have to be ordered as right to left because that's how they look from the outside. We were not told about this even though the person at the PRO desk at Lowes was shown a picture showing exactly how we needed them to open from the inside. As far as I know, windows are not meant to open from the outside (unless you are a burglar). We can't afford to fix it. No sunny disposition in this sunroom. Moral of this expensive disaster is, when it comes to ordering windows left is right and right is left. And the Lowes Pro Desk is not going to tell you that when ordering, even with a picture.
