It was raining outside. And I needed 20 bags of concrete. Went to load up concrete in the loading bay. Only one other truck. Had a forklift driver hoking his horn repetitively. Only spot to get concrete and I'm in his way. Instead of asking nicely to move or asking what I needed i was treated with disrespect. I left and went to Home Depot and got my concrete and other materials. 200.00 worth. I frequently visit this location and I'm never impressed with the service or products they carry. This Lowes has most of what I need, but has terrible customer support. From unfriendly staff, to always understaffed pickup, it's frustrating to even shop here. My last 3 pickups in particular, I've waited over 15 minutes for them to get my stuff. read more

Horrible customer service/great windows--Used car salesman Matthew told me that after 72 hours (we signed contract on July 23) we could not cancel and get a refund. We paid $1,500 down, $6,000 on 24 month contract. Was told after NO contact for 2 months that late Oct to mid Nov was earliest install date. Finally, Lowes' installer Trinity Services showed up Oct 14, but windows were either manufactured wrong or installed wrong or both. 5 of the 12 windows from Milgard have to be remade and reinstalled. As you can see from pics, Monday install left one window broken and 3 with gaps around each, for bugs-cold-wind-and rain to enter. The two celestory windows were installed backwards. The sticky label should only be on the inside. Nobody at Lowes knows about problem or returns phone calls. Horrible, horrible, horrible. We have been Lowes customers for 30 years. read more

Full disclosure: I used to work there. I left under good circumstances and continued to shop there. I went today, on my lunch hour to get some lumber. When I went to the trim aisle, the banners (Keep out) were up. Since there was a lady in the aisle with an associate, I thought that since I only needed two pieces of trim, I could get in and out before the employees started loading. Just to be sure, I looked into the next aisle. There was no one on the machine or even waiting to get on. I got into the trim aisle and found one piece of what I needed but could not locate the second piece; At that point, an associate came over to me and started to lecture me about the safety procedures. I told him that my immediate concern was to find the one piece of trim that I needed. He insisted that I leave the aisle and said he would direct me to a department specialist. I said that if That was the case, they lost me as a customer. That didn't faze him at all. When I worked there, the time that I was in the store was designated as customer service time or "Power hours" I guess that idea has gone the way of the Dodo bird. Anyhow, I wont be back. Biggest group of entitled male idiots I have ever encountered. Waited 40 minutes standing at customer service to get someobe to retrieve my I order. Was parked in pickup, but no, had to drive to 3 different doors to figure out where they wheeled my order. my online order off of a top shelf. Finally found it with 4 male employees just standing by it -- no where near a pickup door. Then they all had to St and around and think about it fir 5 more minutes and have me pull closer to the door because it started to lightly rain. Then had to wait 5 more minutes while customers exited this door. Then the heavy rain started and all of the employees cane to watch the rain and hail. Now they show up. Then they complained that my truck was still running. Oh please, let me walk into the golf ball hail and pouring rain to turn off then truck -- even tho my truck shuts down when not running. I don't know when I have seen such a lack of customer service. I was behind an elderly man yesterday. He purchased 2 large flatbed carts of items. The ladies behind the customer service seemed to know him by name. However, not one single person offered to help him out with his items. I pushed one of his carts out and he got his truck to load. After I left, I decided I should go back and help him, since none of the employees could be bothered. By the time I drove back around he had most of it loaded. He was 75 years old and said he spends a lot of money at Lowe's every year. I was just appalled that the younger people employed there did not offer (he said a young man watched him load his cart with garden soil items, and never offered a hand). I also could not believe that customer service would not automatically call for assistance for anyone with that much stuff to load (especially a senior). Horrible, sat in curbside pickup for 15 minutes and could not even get them to pick up the phone. This is an order I placed 5 days ago and I had to call for status and the answer was "oh...I guess someone missed this one" I was finally notified my order was ready for pickup, I got to the parking lot and called the number for curbside pickup ...it took 20 minutes for them to pick up THE PHONE and another 25 minutes before they brought me my order. Ridiculous This must be a reflection of the management of the store, this exact thing happened a couple of months ago on a special order, I was told that even though I paid in advance and waited 3 months...I only had 7 days to pick it up before it was returned and if it was returned no refund. I ordered something from Home Depot today and used curbside pickup, from the time I parked and called in to the time I was out of there ....6 minutes. Follow up, placed an order on April 11th, because I haven't heard anything I called a week later and because the order had not even been picked off the shelf so I haven't been sent an update on my order and because of that my delivery date has now been pushed 3-4 weeks. I shop here often for my flowers and have purchased my refrigerator and plan on purchasing my stove at this store. First off... all the carts for the garden center were loaded up with online orders, which left NONE for the in store shoppers to use. It took two regular carts for all our items to fit. Then had to wait in line for about 40 minutes!! Only two registers were open and a line of people needing to be checked out!! The Manager at this store does not give a S__T about your experience at his store. He didn't in the past and he doesn't give a S__T NOW! PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT THIS LOWE'S!!! I had an issue while at the store and wanted to speak with the manager about it. I had to call the store, 23 times before anyone would answer the phone!! I had to call back 4 more times and decided to choose the Appliance Department to see if someone would answer...finally a real person!! He tried to connect me to the manager but the manager never answered SO... he sent me to Customer Service, where I rudely told the young lady that answered, that she better not put me on hold again! I requested to speak with the manager immediately and that I would not hang up until he answered!! I spoke to the Manager and believe me he does not care about you, your money or anything else!! Why can I never find anyone to help? Are they hiding or just embarrassingly understaffed?

The Lowe's in Leander, TX does NOT care about Covid and I consider them to be a superspreader business! I placed a curbside order and went to pick it up this morning. As I was waiting for my package, I saw over 10 people enter the store without masks. I called their number upon arrival and pressed 2 for curbside and the phone rang 53 times before someone picked up. I said I was there for my curbside order, so they transferred me to curbside and it rang over 50 more times! When someone picked up again, I immediately said "please don't transfer me again, I have already pressed 2 and after over 100 rings, I still have not gotten curbside." He asked for my info and said he would be "right out!" About another 15 minutes later, he came out with his mask below his chin. I motioned through the car window for him to pull up his mask, which he did. Then he said "we don't have to wear our masks outside." I kindly let him know that he did if he was coming to my car window! I then told him that I'd seen over 10 people enter the store with no masks in sight. His comment was "Since we can't enforce it, the manager said people don't need to wear masks and we're not even supposed to ask them to put one on." My comment was "You just lost this customer because I'll never return, even after covid." He just shrugged. The problem with this store is the manager who really needs to be fired! 4 calls I a row: 1st call was hung up on by someone saying they'd put me on hold. 2nd call was told to call back and follow prompts to get garden center 3rd call was transferred to inside garden vs outside garden and the worker said she thinks she saw clay pots a week ago when she was out there but wasn't for sure they would be there today (why not just go look?) instead says I could download the app and she thinks it might tell me if they have it, again wasn't for sure. But she says if I really want to know I could call back and follow prompts to get outside 4th call I followed prompts again to continue being reconnected with the main menu. read more

"We're not here to support your little hobby." I don't have a hobby, I have a business. And I'm taking that business somewhere else after being treated like I have lice by Lowe's employees. Want to get some glass cut? They do it for free! Unless they decide that your order takes them too long to complete (despite politely being told "no rush" every time) then they will simply decide to start charging you 50 cents per cut. That's half a dollar for every time they slide the cutter through the pane. All done from behind a sign that says it's free. Many of the pieces of glass I brought home looked like someone with diamond-soled shoes played basketball on them. I can't use scratched glass. I watched them tell a woman that they couldn't make copies of her car keys for her as she was standing directly in front of a sign saying that they did. It wasn't until I pointed this out that they tried to help her. Kiss my grits, Lowe's. Your customer service sucks. read more

I love Lowe's. I've been coming here, and spending thousands, at various Lowe's stores for years. We have recently moved to the Austin area, and are getting settled in a new home...which means spending a lot of money. I have NEVER been to a Lowe's with worse customer service. The management should be fired and replaced with competent kindergartens. Three times in the last two days I've come here and received virtually no help. I've pretty much had to beg for service. I have had mostly good experiences with this location. The staff here is friendly. They have also been very helpful both in helping me find stuff in the store and with advice on my various DIY projects. They lose a star for one very bad door experience, but things happen and they did find me another door. They even delivered it to my doorstep. Some very helpful employees are Jordan in lighting and Jim (his demeanor is a little gruff, but he really knows his stuff and is a treasure trove of good information and pretty good service too, also very honest and up front about costs and whatnot) in the door department. Carlos in hardware really went out of his way to help me find some drywall screws to mount a TV. Thanks for all of the help guys! read more

We decided to give this location another try and have been having great experiences until now. We purchased an edger a few months ago and today it started smoking. I called and after 30 minutes on the phone, mainly on hold, I was told they couldn't help me unless I wanted to pay for them to repair it. Further, they told me I could contact the manufacturer but I would need to "trick" them into saying its a manufacturer defect. The engine is smoking. I mean really? I was told to contact corporate if need be. I ship there weekly and they are now loosing a customer. All over an edger. Ridiculous. Well I've always had a great experience at this location. However, we came and rented a carpet cleaner and we received it disgustingly dirty. They did not charge us a deposit. However I would rather have had a clean carpet cleaner then to not pay deposit. Which the deposit is refundable. So we had to clean the carpet cleaner our self before using it and clean it after we used it. They did not offer a discount at all. The woman simply told me when I already told you I didn't charge her deposit so that should be good enough. That to me is unacceptable customer service. The person in charge of the appliance Dept. was very rude and condescending. I wanted to buy an unboxed Fridge that was marked down. He said CAN YOU TAKE IT NOW? I said i wanted to pay for it in entirety and pick it up in a couple of hours when I had help and a truck. He said NO HOLDS, CASH AND CARRY, YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT NOW. Now I've been in retail sales and customer service my entire career and NEVER would I speak to a customer that way. There could have been 6 different ways to politely explain store policy or even steer me toward a new unit that included delivery. I was so taken aback I left there and drove straight to home depot and ended up buying a brand new Fridge. That's $1200.00 you lost Lowe's, not to mention a customer for life. Garbage company so of course the store would be garbage. I ordered a refrigerator with my mom and was told they had one in stock that a previous customer had ordered but wouldn't need it until August, so we were in luck, we could have it. My mom paid in full and was told it would be delivered in about a week. When she didn't hear anything, she called and got the middle aged woman in appliance that had sold her the refrigerator. When asked about the delivery the woman lied and told my mom that she never promised her delivery so soon. When I came home from work, I tried to call and speak with a manager. Long story short, I cooked dinner, we ate and were still on hold 75 minutes later. I realized that we obviously were never going to get to speak to anyone and this is what Lowes does so that you'll get tired of waiting and hang up. Which is exactly what we did. Been almost 2 years now that we had issues with a door purchase from this store for our new house. We had set backs and increased cost because doors were no delivered on time. Two weeks late was told doors were here but only 3 out of 6 were actually shipped and they lost one of those which had to be reordered. We summited all requested paper work and was told they were working on a adjustment. Stopped by numerous times and was told still working on it. I've been shopping at the store since they've opened I really like the store it's nice it's clean. The reason I gave them three stars is there's really two things that bothered me at the store. They are both management issues. One of the reasons as I do a lot of projects and I'm always use the wood department area and they only had one checker on a Saturday morning there was more than seven people in line one lady trying to check out everyone it was really insane we had to wait nearly 25 minutes to check out.the second thing that bothers me is the loading area today for example when i got to lowes there was a white chevy pick up with no one in it or around it with no trailor and there was a cover on top. He was obviously not loading up . When I came out of the store the truck was still there and this was nearly an hour later . There was no way for me to drive through because on the other side there was a fork lift. People where trying to pull up and back in to the front of the loading area. I get that people are selfish however it should be controled better by the management of Lowe's. I will continue to use this store however it would be nice to fix this. If lowe's management fixed these issues.It would be alot more Pleasant shoping there. read more

I'd give this Lowe's ZERO stars if I could. Ordered an upright freezer ovweeks ago. Delivery day finally arrives! Window of 8a-8p....no email, no phone call as promised tightening the delivery window. Call at 8am this morning, get assured my order was coming out today-third on the stop!!!! I finally call at 12:30pm not having heard a word, only to find out WHAT???? There's no freezer on the truck for me! NOBODY from this damn store thought to call me and tell me it was not in and there was a problem. I have been counting on getting this damn freezer THIS WEEK prior to having surgery. There are no words for how livid I am. Currently waiting for someone to call me back. IF they find me a freezer and get it here TODAY I will adjust this review slightly, but regardless,they fail epically in customer service and follow through when an order is placed. Shame on you Lowe's. No wonder your yelp rating at this location sucks!! Updating to reflect they did manage to find my freezer and get it here by end of day. Delivery team was friendly and polite. I used to prefer Lowes to Home Depot hands down until this Lowes opened. They are ok (sometimes) when it comes to stuff you need to find on the shelves but bigger jobs and service forget about it! The only reason I gave this place 2 stars rather than one is they actually hit the mark on my last installation job. After 2 previous botched jobs I had sworn I would never hire them again but I was to lazy to drive to Home Depot that day. The first time I ordered flooring the employee in the flooring dept harassed the %^&*$#! out of me for 10 minutes to open a Lowes credit card. I told him repeatedly I had the money in savings and was NOT going to open a credit card with Lowes. He would not let up and harassed me to the point I just about walked out the door and cancelled the order entirely. The idiot finally processed my order and the installers showed up last minute, left one guy at my house to do the entire job, and took off. Fail! When I needed a new dishwasher they guy in that department sat chatting bs with some lady for 15 minutes until we finally hit the customer assistance button and the loud speaker announced assistance was needed in that department. Then the guy finally wrapped up his non-work related conversation with the other customer and decided to help us. The real kicker is every time someone came in the department after that the employee stopped helping us to go help every new person that walked by. Fail! Another time I went in to get 2 items and walked up to the register, put my stuff on the counter, was greeted by the cashier, when some other employee comes running from the side makes me move back and cuts some guy in line in front of me who couldn't figure out how to work the self service registers. REALLY?!?! You are going to stop my transaction of 2 items for some guy 20 feet away that can't figure out how to work the self service station?! Fail! Like I said to start, if you need a quick grab and go you actually have a 60/40% chance of finding it here. If you need a bigger job such as installation you might get lucky and have a 1/3 change of them getting it right. read more

This is my go to home improvement store. Close, convenient and the garden part has most of the stock plants I use for landscaping. As with Home Depot, it is sometimes hard to find someone to answer a question or help. I usually have to search around for awhile before I find someone. I think of Lowes as more of a female-friendly store overall. It seems like there is a better selection of some of the more aesthetic components of home improvement. read more

So, this is a very long story about replacing one window and I'll try to sum it up quickly. My 86 year old mother needed one window replaced. We went to Lowe's and they sent out a gentleman to look at the window. He said that he would send someone out from one of their contractors. Well the company called me twice to reschedule the day of. Finally they come out to measure and said that it would be 4 weeks before they would be have it in stock. Go to 5 weeks and no contact. I contact Lowe's who contacts the contractor. They finally answer and set up an installation appointment. Once again they reschedule twice (the day of) and finally come out. They take the old window out, scratch up her floor then said that the window doesn't fit! WTH?! They had busted up the old window so they put in plywood that stank. I told them that they had to put in something so they had the contractor put in a sub window until the new one came in. Not only all of the above but the contractor didn't bring any caulk so my husband had to go to the store and get them some. The next morning, I go over her house and they have destroyed some of the siding. Once again no answer to that. Fast forward to 5 more weeks that we had to make contact and we finally get the window in. The window is nice but the service and tearing up her property was not. They wouldn't even answer anything since the window was already in. We will NEVER use Lowe's again for any actual home improvements. They are horrible. The two times I have stopped in at this store I was surprised to see loose dogs running around the store. Both times the dogs ran up and startled my daughter, the owners just smile or laugh. I complained to the head cashier the second time and was told the manager Stephanie allows people to bring their dogs in. Ok, I love dogs too, just do not think I have to worry about strange dogs jumping on my daughter in lowes. It is a risk Stephanie wants to take, but not me. read more

So I go to Lowe's a lot, almost daily. What I've noticed here is the place always seems dusty or something. I don't know how to explain it, but the one close to my house is much cleaner.
