Based on that definition, I can't complain about this store's customer service because they didn't even act like providing any. I placed a curbside order of a single thing they had on the shelf. I didn't get an email confirmation but they charged my card. I went into the store and they said I had to cancel my order before they could help. Don't believe what they say, install your Levalor verticals your self and save money and time as it took them 3 months to install mine in a new house, and get privacy faster if you do it yourself. I bought a washer/dryer. It was delivered on time. They set it up and made sure it worked fine and was level before leaving. My only worry is they did not contact me for my window "time of arrival" until the morning of the delivery day. I called the day before and no one could help me. 33 minutes to get curbside pickup. I was on the phone with two small kids in the back for the first 20 minutes and that is how I got so invested. But 20 mins in I realized that I had been parked for a while waiting for an associate to come with my items. I ended up just going in and that didn't change this review. When I went in to the pickup desk to get my item somebody could have acknowledged the fact that I waited so long or at least thanked me for stopping them from having to walk out curbside now and doing half of their job for them. Why offer curbside pickup if you don't want to come outside? So if they would have noticed that I waited so long that would have been the great time to apologize or offer me some kind of explanation of how I could just be left outside. I didn't want to give them a bad review, I never want to give anyone a bad review but when I started the review and I saw that they only had two stars. I guess I'm just going to lump in with everybody else and their bad experiences. Let's see how long it takes for one of their managers to reply to me and my review, but since they have so many bad reviews they're probably used to it and have thrown in the towel at this point on customer service. read more

I would be embarrassed to work for this company. Complete incompetence at every turn. Step 1 - order washer and dryer. Step 2 - they break the glass during delivery (Strike 1) Step 3 - should be: No problem. We have 20 of these in a 10 mile radius. We'll bring it tomorrow and install it. Step 3 - actual response: No idea how to fix it or replace it in under 2 weeks. (Strike 2) Step 4 - they cancel the order without telling me, but still charged me for the required parts for install- which I never received. (Strike 3) Step 5 - 12 phone calls, 3 managers, 6 hours of my life lost sitting on hold and nobody ever picked up. (Strike 4) Step 6 - lose customer forever. Good riddance. Step 7 - order from Best Buy instead and have it in 2 days Step 8 - tell the world to avoid Lowe's. I really prefer this big box home improvement store over HD. I've completed 2 projects recently that were 1st timers for me and the associates could not have been more helpful. On one project I was even provided with a few tips and tricks to guarantee that the job would be done correctly. I did not feel welcome in this store. Associates treated me as if I did not exist and didn't not want to answer my questions. Don't ask to use their saw. Go to Home Depot instead. Don't use curbside pickup. They will split up your order into two separate Lowe's and not notify you until you have arrived at one--this happened to me. I have given this Lowe's numerous chances but I am very consistently disappointed. From now on I'll drive a little further to another hardware store. The lumber department does not allow its saw to be used as advertised. Lowe's states that it will make cuts to fit timbers into your car. I had a small number of cuts that needed to be made and they were not willing to do so. I was told, literally, "the saw is fragile". Upon spending an hour picking out my lumber, some of which was 16', I was not allowed to have the pieces cut for this silly reason. I felt that I had wasted a huge amount of time in my day and the lumber department was not sympathetic at all. In my experience, the customer service department has been very kind, but every other department I've interacted with seemed like they genuinely did not want to interact with customers. I sincerely hope that the customer service strategy of this Lowe's is overhauled in its entirety. I'm not sure I've ever been so let down by a brand. read more

I purchased an upright 20+ cubic feet freezer from Lowe's. Paid cash. They delivered it and set it in place. After about a month I started noticing ice collecting up on the ceiling of the inside of the freezer. After further investigation I noticed that the seal is not sealing at the top it's about a 4 inch area that is leaking air. After a further further investigation I noticed the door is bowed in that area. I called Lowe's they would not help me, I called their customer service line and spoke for over an hour to the representative and they told me I only had 30 days to make a claim for damage. First of all this is something that's very hard to detect with the human eye. I have bought so many appliances and DIY projects from Lowe's and have always been happy. They are offering me $45 for the damage. Matthew who was the supposedly supervisor gave me nothing but lip service other than $45. By offering the $45 admits guilt on their behalf. All I want is the product I paid for to function properly. I'm a meat smoker and I keep all my meat in the freezer a lot of meat on my dad. This is the lowest of lows no pun intended any company has treated me in the service industry. You will never ever get any more of my business or anybody that I know. read more

I purchased a chainsaw on Monday night. Got to use it on Saturday finally. The first cut I made the chain came off. Took it apart to put a new chain on and no problems. Then one sitting down, took a chainsaw and cleaned it up. Remove the chain the blade in the safety mechanism. Then notice the unit would not go back together correctly. I try several times and found that the safety mechanism would not lock the chain in place. Back to Lowe's in Leander. The employee at customer service said no return. I speak to a manager he said no and didn't really care. Asked to see another manager same thing no because I took it apart. They would not let me return the unit or exchange it for a different one. These measures do not care about the customers. This store does not care about the customers. After spending almost $1000 at the store I got pushed out and they said no on the return or exchange. I am now taking a unit to a small engine place that work on Husqvarna units, and hopefully I get a fix. Making Lowe's in the Jeter. Avoid this store at all costs! They will give you the run around and promise you a manager will call you (3 different times) with no callbacks. Here's the backstory - I purchased a built in oven and microwave in late September 2023. The microwave was on backorder so it wasn't installed until a month later. When it was installed, the oven was defective structurally. A new oven was ordered and when the installer came the second time he said that the structural defect was also on the replacement oven and all of the ovens of this model were the same. So I purchased an entirely different brand, including the microwave trim kit that the sales person said came with the model. When the Installer came 1/8/24 (mind you this is number 3 installation visit) , the trim kit did not fit. I called the sales person while the installer was here and he said that the model was no longer showing up in their system and he did not know why. his solution was to was for me to order a trim kit from another company and then have Lowe's install it because they no longer carried it. Again asked for manager to contact me to no avail. It also took me three weeks and multiple calls to get a $2600 credit back on my credit card after they had removed the appliances. While I was on hold for one of the calls to the local Leander store, it transferred me to a national line, where a lovely, helpful woman spent 28 minutes with me, taking the entire history and writing a case number down. Twice during the call, she tried to connect to the store itself and received a no response each time, which is quite telling and exactly my experience . Purchased this item 02/23/2021 Sales # S2774BK2 816712 Trans# 12123435 with 5 year extended warranty ( 823794 $ 154.97) freezer started icing up. We have spent 2 weeks trying to get Lowes warranty department to return our calls, they call back with on hold music the hang up after leaving you on hold for 10 minutes. We can never get an actual person on the phone. Store employees state they can not do anything other than refer us to warranty department. Winia (Daewoo electronics) can only be contacted via email and we still have yet to get a response from them. I found the replacement seal in white from sears for $10.99. Buyer beware Lowes and their warranty department will steal your money and leave you out to dry. read more

I generally like Lowe's better than Home Depot. I find the employees are generally more willing to help you. This location is no different than my past experiences. This location is pretty good. Not as large as some of the other locations closer to Austin, like on 620. So they are a little limited on selection options, but not too much. A majority of home improvement projects will still be able to be taken care of here. I only wish this location had a tool rental section. This beef is not unique to this location or Lowe's. When I ask for help and you don't know the answer, don't try to BS me... Tell me you don't know and see if you can find somebody who does. It makes it much better in the end. read more

Ordered a new washing machine from this location. I have waited 1 1/2 months for it to come in. Took a day off from work (unpaid) to be here for its delivery. Had my other washing machine uninstalled and moved out to save the delivery people some work. They didn't even have the courtesy of calling me to let me know it did not come in on time and won't be delivered. I will now have to wait another week they say and take yet another day off from work in which I can't even ask for in advance because they have no idea of when it will be! Went to Lowe's yesterday to get some wood and paint for a project. It was the weekend so I expected long lines and a hunt for assistance. I wasn't wrong- lines were long and I had to circle to find associates but to me that's just part of weekend shopping at a place like Lowe's and I think customers should cut them some slack. Despite all this I interacted with 3 people. One gentleman cutting wood. Super nice, busy as hell but still assisted me with a smile. Cashier was very helpful too. He had long hair and was checking out at lumber in the afternoon. Unfortunately calling the store sucks cause after being transferred either I got hung up on or no one answered. So can't name those two people- but thanks! Special shout out to Heather T, whos name I did get, went above and beyond. She works at paint. She was very helpful in answering my questions and was super friendly. She impressed me with her customer service by not only answering my questions but walking me to the products in question. She showed me samples to what I would have bought and it would have been terrible! That step led me to the right item and right purchase. Saturday, September 15 around 12:30/1pmish he pops in to inquire about getting some blinds cut. The lady working simply snapped at him that they only do X brand then ignores him to wait on other people. No explanation or anything close to being customer service. We went to another Lowe's to ask and were told they didn't have the machine, but here let me help you fulfill your needs. One thing I've found in this store is that the female floor employees (customer service desk/cashiers NOT included here) are a**holes. The ladies at the front? Always super helpful and polite. Avoid this place for curbside. I placed an order for some small sign posts. After a few hours I went to pick them up and they said the order wasn't ready. I asked for a rough ETA and was told maybe 30min-1hr because it was only him and another employee doing curbside. After that he went around the parking lot collecting carts. If there's only two employees dedicated to curbside and their order volume is high, why is he collecting carts instead of filling orders? This made no sense. Bought a $15 dollar item but ended up not needing it. When I tried returning the new and unused item, I was told they won't do anything for me at all since it is past the 90-day return period. I was obviously disappointed, especially since the receipt does not state the policy. On a whim, I also checked the shelf and noticed that the item was currently out of stock. Considering all the supply chain issues these days, I would think Lowes would be smarter than this. Why not accept returns for new and unused items in order to help keep those shelves stocked up? Even if they had only offered partial credit, I would have felt like I had at least gotten something out of this, and they in turn would have a product on their shelf. If it was possible to give zero stars, I absolutely would! I ordered a brand new dryer from the Lowe's in Leander and upon delivery, the people installing it discovered it didn't work. So they left the non-functional brand new dryer I had just purchased from Lowe's (for over $900) with me at my new house and drove off with no plan in place for replacing it. I then was on the phone with Lowe's customer service for 2+ hours trying to get this whole mess sorted out and ultimately had to pay another $900+ for the exact same "brand new" dryer to be delivered to me not for another 12 days, at which point they say I will be refunded the $900 I originally paid for the original (same exact model) dryer I purchased which doesn't work. So now, on my credit card Lowe's has charged $1800+ (the cost of two brand new dryers) and I am left with one that doesn't work and won't get the replacement for another couple of weeks, at which point the $900 will be refunded to my credit card. Well isn't that just about the stupidest thing you ever heard?!?! Yep...ME TOO! Makes no sense, not to mention that most people would not be able to afford to pay the price of a whole other second dryer before getting refunded for the first malfunctioning (yet supposedly brand new) dryer purchase. What a colossal waste of a Saturday afternoon and if Lowe's had any care or concern for their customers they'd have at least tried to make up for this despicable situation perhaps with a refund or discount of some sorts...but nope!
