The online order pick up system was very easy. We appreciated that the associate opened the box and confirmed that everything was present in the box that should be. We also checked out the Garden Department able were disappointed to see many plants very thirsty and many that clearly were suffering badly in the heat by being in full sun all day, when they aren't full sun plants. I'm not sure why the plants are laid out this way and why the plants weren't watered sufficiently (staffing problem perhaps?), but it's not the way a garden department should be run. read more

My experiences at Lowe's have been incredibly disappointing. The inventory is poor, making it difficult to find what I need and the staff is hard to locate and not particularly helpful when I finally find someone. What frustrates me the most is the product quality. I expect Lowe's prices to reflect better quality than Home Depot, but instead I end up with defective products that force me to waste my time making returns and exchanges. Shopping should not be this frustrating. This store has consistently went downhill the past 16 years to a point today was the last trip to a Lowe's. I miss the days of customer service at this store when folks like Patrick and Carol there. Totally downhill - Trying to buy paint , 10 employees walking around the department shooting the shit and stocking but won't come to the paint counter even though they see you. They come by the paint counter , look at you , and go about their "other" duties still. Finally another employee walks buy and tells them to call someone as they have customers at the paint counter. At this point , they stop doing what they're doing acting like they didn't know , and try to help after sitting there acting like I wasn't there. There is a Payless cashway / Ace just 1/2 mile north that continually offers 1000% times the customer service Lowe's displays every single time we walk in there. We contracted Lowe's in Leander, TX for our kitchen renovation, and it has been a complete nightmare. Our experience with the kitchen department was extremely frustrating from start to finish. Roel, the "designer," was not professional at all and did an awful job. There was a serious lack of communication--not only between us and the team, but also between Lowe's and their contractors. We created two design versions (original and updated), but the cabinet company received only the original plan, which had incorrect dimensions. As a result, the cabinets were built in the wrong size, causing major delays and unnecessary stress. Because of this mistake, we had to wait over a month for the correct cabinet to arrive, even though this was not treated as an urgent issue. When the replacement cabinet and accessories finally arrived at the store, the situation got even worse due to disorganization. Some replacement parts were delivered to our home, but the most important piece--the base cabinet--was missing, along with the accessories. Without it, we couldn't move forward with installing the countertop. We ended up having to go to the store ourselves and help them locate the missing items. They eventually found the base cabinet, but the accessories were lost and had to be reordered yet again. To make matters worse, the wall cabinet was also designed incorrectly. The designer failed to account for the necessary clearance to open the cabinet doors properly, which means it now needs to be redone. After more than two months of constant issues, delays, and headaches, our kitchen is still not finished. They still need to reorder the incorrectly designed wall cabinet and the missing accessories. Customer service has been extremely poor--they show no sense of urgency or accountability. We constantly have to follow up and push them just to get basic things done. Overall, a very disappointing and exhausting experience. I would not recommend using Lowe's kitchen department in Leander, TX. read more

Called customer service for some help before driving there because it's a 15 min drive from where I live. I let the phone ring the entire drive to the store until I got there. Walked in and the employees(young employees) were standing at the desk so I decided to test their response before walking up and sure enough, ignored the phone ringing at the desk. When confronted they said they don't take phone calls they work the desk...pitiful and shameful behavior. If I was the branch manager I'd fire them on the spot. Walked around and Employees were obsolete almost as to hide and avoid customers. Then I felt like I inconvenienced them after getting attitude by saying sir I need help. I was led to purchase a refrigerator that DID NOT fit into my home: it sat in my living room for SIX days until a refrigerator that would fit was delivered. I take back anything good I said about this Lowes. Ordered some Goof-Off Concrete Cleaner for pickup. More than 24 hours later, the order's still not ready, so I stop by and buy the item myself. When I get home, the order's NOW been fulfilled, and there's no way to cancel it! So I try calling them. Call twice, on the phone 10 mins, NO ONE PICKS UP. So I have to go down there a SECOND time, pick up the item out of a locker, and only then can I void the sale. Thanks a lot, Lowes! Man the customer lines, guys. I had a curbside pick up today. They have changed things around. Took me longer than needed to find the actual curbside area. Checked in, the associate came out, gave a two sheet paper copy of my order to take to another associate, directed me to another area. I guess I wasn't paying complete attention to him (I've done this in the past and picked up my soil in the entrance of the garden area) well they changed it. Know there's a loading zone area you have to drive through. The guy loaded up my soil, and I was on my way. I find shopping on Lowe's.com easy and convenient. Just make sure you click the curbside pickup versus in-store pick up. I don't think it's necessary to waste paper when everything was on my phone. read more

I visited your cedar park location yesterday to pick up a few things. I was pleasantly surprised. There were ample staff members who went out of their way to help. I was asked several times how someone could help me. Even in the rain folks in the outside section were willing and able. Jason in particular helped in the rain. I purchased the Samsung Bespoke all in one. When it was delivered the guy said he knew nothing about it and just plugged it in. Well, the thing weighs 400 pounds and the first time I try to use it is leaking water from under it. I first called the store, they told me to call the delivery people. THEY DO NOT DO ANY SAME DAY CALLS. So, they told me to wait until the next day for service between 8AM and 8PM. Now how am I supposed move the unit out and shut off the water? I called the Cedar Park, Texas store back and they could not help since it was the delivery people's problem. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ok, my second favorite store in the world, Lowe's! I love the Leander Store, but it's always with mixed emotions. Sometimes there's people everywhere to help you find something, but they look like they're not having a good day. Paint Dept., Tools, Lawn and Gardening, those folks are great. I seem to depend on them more for my projects. Major Appliance folks have been friendly and helpful. Now other folks waking around aimlessly, cutting in front of me when you see me pushing this big heavy cart full of plywood, making me have to brake for you and your inconsideration. I remember there use to be friendless to the customer because that's why we came to work...to serve them. Sorry...venting. Over all, the store is clean, they LOVE on veterans like no other Home Improvement store I know. You can even apply for a 10% veterans discount for On Line purchases. Not everyone offers that, hmmm. This review is for Lowes and ARS Plumbing. Avoid this company at all costs..... My hot water heater was leaking slightly and considering I have not had to deal with this before went to Lowe's in Leander Texas and talked to a customer service rep who told me that I needed to go online and request service for a hot water heater...and so I did. After going through Lowe's website and filling out the appropriate form, it was not long before I received a call from ARS/Rescue Rooter. They said they would send someone out and they did although late. Upon arriving to my home and showing him the hot water heater, he immediately started to try and sell me a tankless hot water heater for $8K dollars. I immediately said, please don't try and sell me anything what I want is a quote for a replacement tank hot water heater. He immediately responded with $3400.00. I was shocked by the price of a 50 gal hot water heater. I said, that's ridiculous and he said $700 for hot water heater and $1500 for labor but would not tell me what the rest of the amount was for. I told him I would obtain other quotes but please email me a quote (which I never received). Closed garage went into the house and a few minutes later (he never left) came back to the door and then told me he could do it for $2700.00. Again, he said $700.00 for hot water heater, 1500.00 for labor. I said what was the $500.00 for and he said disposal and many other things. I said I would like a breakdown quote of all costs/charges and said (and I quote)....I can not give you that. I said, well no thank you and that was the end of it. I called other companies. Here we are as a community trusting Lowes with providing us with respectable, professional and quality service vendors and this is who they are allowing as a provider and when you do that, your name Lowe's is attached. So not only is the vendor bad so is Lowes. That alone has made me stop doing business with Lowes in the future. ARS are scam artists and in my eyes stealing from those who possibly do not know any better. What a rip off. Greedy I have already contacted Lowe's corporate about allowing ARS on their list as a service provider...doubt it will do any good but intend on getting this bit of information to all other social media platforms. Do NOT use this Lowe's to deliver appliances as they subcontract it out and their subs are horrible. We had a dishwasher delivered which was supposed to include installation. The guy told me my water valve would not close so we had to contact a plumber to get it replaced. They then just left. The house is less than 10 years old so this did not make sense. I checked the valve and in fact it closes without any leaks. I finished the install myself and complained through Lowe's chat. They just apologized and did not agree to refund the installation. We just had a refrigerator delivered and installed and the installer scratched the front door and put a big dent in the corner of a wall. The installer claimed that both were there before and that they declined the claim. Yep, I had to fix both myself. Lowe's did not offer anything except call their customer service. After spending hours on the phone and three visits to the store, we have still not received our refrigerator after their service could not locate our home which is less than 15 minutes from Lowes in Leander. We asked for a refund and were told by Lowes in Leander there was nothing they could do, we would need to talk to their third party vendor. We asked to speak to the manager, who was there, and he refused to speak with us. This Leander store is making me a Home Depot customer. There is never anyone to help you find what you're looking for. They have a Lowe's app that USED to give you the aisle location for items you input but the last three trips the app was not working. It is very frustrating when you're looking for small items and have to walk all over that gigantic store. Twice I've actually left and went to Walmart to find small tools and hardware that I needed. It didn't use to be this bad but it sure has been for the past few months. Makes me wonder if the company is having financial trouble and has cut way back on the employees. We purchased a washing machine here. They were quick to sell you a Lowe's protection plan "just in case." Turns out once they run your credit card, they wash their hands of your issues so you had BETTER buy the protection plan! We had our washing machine delivered, the guy set it up, turned it on, and then left. 20 minutes later it was still on the fill cycle so obviously it is having an issue. We went up to Lowe's to ask questions (since they didn't answer the phone) and after waiting about 30 minutes were told that it wasn't Lowe's problem, but to call the protection plan number. I called customer service today and they said oh yeah we could have helped you within 48 hours but not now. Call the protection plan number. (Even though I was THERE 24 hours later but whatever.) But, man oh man, at Lowe's Store #2774 in Leander I estimate about a third of the customers AND STAFF are either maskless or wearing chin diapers. Store well organized and a great Location Manager. Some of the employees could be a little more knowledgeable but they are very pleasant and polite. I'm in and out frequently. They offer a Veteran/Military Discount every day which is awesome! Have made many large purchases here but equally as many small-they carry a lot of cleaning supplies and as wide a variety as our super or plus grocery chains. Spring has sprung and they have a large Garden Center with a massive amount of choice-notably a huge variety of vegetable plants for this time of year. I can never help myself, I always have to wander through the appliance department and check out anything that's new. I love the fact that they have one section for scratch and dent so if you have an appliance that goes out unexpectedly you can pick something up for a reasonable price since it probably was not in the budget for replacement. If not an unexpected event they carry all the latest and the greatest, Samsung, LG, GE, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Whirlpool. I also think that their lighting section is spectacular with lots of variety and many options that you find in decorator magazines but not it decorator prices. They always have someone available to mix custom paint and we have bought paint there frequently. I only had a couple things to pick up today, some button batteries, a couple of rolls of packing tape and a broom and dust pan so I didn't spend too much time in there today but it's definitely a place you can wander around and think about all the things you might possibly DYII! read more
