On 11/26 I came to the LQ location because I didn't find the replacement that I needed from your competitors. I walked in and tried to find the part that I need for myself. I asked a lady with glasses on that was working at the Doors station. I asked her if she did she know where the Bottom door sweeper was located and she told me it's going to be Row 22 or 23 at the back and waved her hands at me, Not cool At all. I proceeded to walk back to the front of the store and found what i need. I walked up the self checkout area and was greeted by Ruby. Ruby smiled and asked me did I find everything that I needed and I mentioned to her about what happened and I told, if it wasn't for you, I would have given this store a 1 star. Got sucked in to buying windows at Lowe's. Nothing but a headache. 1. Arrived 4 weeks after promised 2. Missing one or the windows when delivered 3. Forgot trim material. Insulation foam sticking out everywhere. 4. Trim on single light door is beige with the rest of the door white. Looks stupid. They told me to paint it. 5. Doors do not close without pushing them in place. 6. Locks not keyed the same even though they provided all the locks. 7. Installer said the window couldn't be installed because it was wrong. Lowe's sent out inter installer 3 weeks later who put the window in place. 8.Can't get them back to finish. It's going on four months now. 9. We have been paying every month and they are unable yo finish. 10. Bob the salesman is useless as finishing projects. Don't talk to him. NO Customer service! 11. Do not buy blinds at Lowes. The service is so bad it's unbelievable. The store personnel are great but installation is handled by some corporate people. They have threatened me, and although I've paid a good deal for installation they are delaying it because of a conflict with a functionary in the installation department. We are big time gardeners and I have always had great luck finding a variety of plants and pots at the Lowe's back in Los Angeles. This Lowe's gardening section is fairly slim and bland for selection, which I just don't understand since they have the room for a larger variety. Last month I went to shop for pots and could not find two that matched in their very limited choices. Today I went in to buy a Pothos plant, but they only ones they carried were very tiny so I had to buy multiple to make a decent size plant for one pot. As I was checking out there were 5 women working in the vicinity, and they were all telling us to use the self checkout. I personally dislike using the self check out because frankly, I don't work for Lowe's and expect service. There were enough staff standing around that they could have had a cashier open. read more

Purchased an a/c unit. The lady at the register confirmed that I had 30 days to return it. We opted for a window unit instead and proceeded to purchase one, once again the lady at the register told us we had a 30 days return window. So 4 days after purchasing the original unit we attempted to return it and were told it was impossible and that it would have had to been done within 48 hours. They also told us to contact the Manufacturer for a RA so we could bring it back. Per Hisense, they do not issue RA's for this particular unit and recommended we reach back out to the store. Per Lowes online help chat, they are not able to help us and that we would need to go back to the store. Lowes should be upfront about their return policies and re-educate their staff on these procedures. Next time we will shop elsewhere. read more

About 30days ago I purchased aLG refrigerator with a stainless steel water supply hose which is the one they use to complete the installation and hook up In addition I purchased their 3yr warranty. After doing the recommended flushing the ice taste horrible I was baffled as to why. I went online and checked LGs manual and called LG themselves All three say don't use stainless hose for LG refrigerators. It can lead to bad tasting ice. One would think this is an easy fix, use PEX the hose that is recommended. Not so fast ,went to the store, call their customer care number, call their headquarters customer service number and got the same response, they AIN'T going to fix it or they would of simply apologized and sent out a person to replace it with the recommended PEX hose After my experience why would i use them in the future read more

Wow I'm shocked to read all these one star reviews! I love going to Lowe's verses home depo! I always get great service and everyone is so nice. A wonderful young man in the garden department not only got me plants snd soil but walked me to my car carrying an umbrella over my head two days ago during a downpour. Then I went to the lumber department when another really nice young man got me gravel, tar , and sticks for my trees. All while I sat snd waited and then he rang it up and loaded my car! Homeowners beware !! Contractors beware!! There's a reason for the Yelp reviews. Be sure to call to follow up on any online orders shipped to La Quinta Lowes. Do not trust the Lowes app for accurate shipping info! We placed an order to be delivered to La Quinta Lowes, the order showed shipped on 8/7, in store on 8/9, and on 8/16 we were notified the item was never shipped by the vendor, Dreamline. Had we not called corporate to follow up on other order issues, we would have never known the Dreamline vendor never shipped as the vendor stated it was. We were then told another 2 weeks wait for shipment from Dreamline. An absolute horrible customer experience that has not only resulted in contractors being placed out of work, but our rental property remains closed for an unknown amount of time while we wait for our Lowes items. Dreadful. We went there this afternoon ready to drop about 2-3k on bathroom fixtures--tub, toilets, sinks. We first couldn't find anybody. Then we started hiking through the store, looking for an employee. We spoke to a total of four employees. Why? Because each person handed us off to the next one. We heard some variation of "I'm on my way over there" or "I don't know how to do that." So we told the last person who was ready to pass us to the fifth employee, "We're heading to Home Depot instead." The irony is that one of the people who said they were busy and passed us off was standing out in front of the garden center, chatting it up with another nonperforming employee. Having worked for a large company, I know dysfunction starts at the top and flows downward. Our Lowe's visit today was a living example. La Quinta can do better. read more

La Quinta Lowes lost my appliances. We have a dryer and a range that they cannot locate. I've spend several weeks talking to customer service and I never get a call back. I've talked to at least 5-6 different employees, customer service and a supervisor. In addition, they delivered a dented refrigerator. At the time, the delivery person took pictures and told us La Quinta Lowes would call us back. I've yet to receive a return call from anyone in La Quinta. Long story short - the delivery was cancelled after they called the wrong number, neglected to use the kiosk to contact us from the gate, and neglected to look at the gate code on the invoice. We tried to resolve the issue by calling the store. After hours (literally) of being on hold and being hung up on - we went to the store in person TWICE. We were assured all was taken care of. Nope. Since Yelp reviews really do make a difference when it comes to trying to decide where to spend your money and where not to, I felt compelled to leave this review for anyone who is about to purchase flooring but is not sure where to go or how to find good help. We are currently flipping a property and needed about 3000 sq ft of vinyl plank wood flooring to be delivered to the property asap. My husband found the tile we needed on clearance and went into the Home Depot in North Indio to place the order. What should have been a simple and seamless process turned out to be nothing but a waste of time because every employee had a different idea as to how to complete the order and not one of them was able to actually do it. $4000+ worth of flooring and no one could figure out how to get it done. Needless to say, hubs was pissed when he left with no flooring order and I was the lucky one he chose to call to rant to about this negative experience for the next 10 minutes... Yay Me! Feeling defeated, he thought he would give it 1 more try and headed over to the Lowes in La Quinta to see if he could get them there. To his shock and surprise Donald G. appeared before him, clearly sent from the flooring heavens above, because within minutes of hearing what was needed for our flip, Donald got to work finding similar flooring, scheduling a prompt delivery date and seamlessly fufilling the flooring order with ease. My husband said his customer service was amazing and wanted me to post a review to recognize the job well done. Big chain retail stores like Lowes don't know about the Donald G's unless people like us bring it to their attention. His quality customer service is few and far between these days and I honestly felt like I would be doing a disservice not to recognize it by posting about it online via this Yelp review. So if you are in the need of flooring and quality customer service means something to you it does to Donald G as well, so do yourself a favor and head over to the Lowes in La Quinta, I think he is in the flooring department but you can also just look for the salesman with the halo above his head and angel wings spread really wide behind him because according to my husband, he was awesome and beyond helpful. I should add, that the hubs was so impressed with the difference in customer service that he went there today for supplies instead of HD and while he didn't see Donald G. anywhere he received the same type of help and friendly disposition from the person that helped him today so LOWES CORPORATE... if your listening, whatever is in the water over there that these employees are drinking you need to bottle it and sell it because they seem to be setting the bar high when it comes to quality care and customer service and it is very much appreciated. read more

Twice in the paint section I've needed help and had questions. One years ago and another recently. Both times the employee was knowledgeable, helpful and patient. Recently Juan helped us and recommended some products. He hadn't used one product but still he was knowledgeable and it seems he did some research or had some inservice. So far so good! I wish I could remember the other employee's name, but haven't seen him since. Other employees I have interacted with (especially in the tool section) have also been helpful. Awful merchandising- Concrete products in mutiple locations for example, with patch items hidden on a three foot metro rack in the corner of the store and the smaller tubs in the paint department. concrete outside with the lumbar. Every single section with multiple small items is always a merchandising mess. example- plumbing and electrical. Out of stocks, sku's all mixed up, poor price representation, missing items. The Lowes in palm desert on Monterey is great. They also appear busy. The Home Depot in La Quinta is always busy. This past weekend, the visit that inspired this review, I ditched my cart and went to Home Depot. The self service checkout had at least 10 people in line. The store was packed. the Lowes was dead. Who is overseeing this store? I spent twenty years in the grocery business and can't fathom how this is happening. The organization I worked for would never stand for this type of retail execution. I realize that the Coachella Valley is a very challenging demographic to run a store due the local workforce and seasonal nature, but this store just oozes incompetatnt leadership. read more

Lowes has the worst return policy!! Most of the Chinese goods they sell are crap; poorly made, lasts only months. I had a hose real that broke 7 months after I bought it, they would Not exchange it or take it back because "the season had already passed". Now, I had Christmas lights that I had bought a ton of, some sections of the net lights stopped working after about 2wks.
