The person at customer service was extremely rude when she answered the phone and then immediately hung up when she told me to hold for a moment. I called the appliance center at least three times on a 12 hr period... it just rang and rang and rang. No one ever answered, but that was preferable to having to deal with that rude customer service person. Very gruff. Staff should be trained better. Beautiful selection in the garden center and the store is generally neat and clean and has some great products. Pretty terrible. First inventory control is awful. Bought some fence panels which took over an hour just to get them out to my truck. Forklift driver had to stop and put a tarp over the forklift because of a little misty rain. And then played on her phone while I loaded the fence panels. read more

Wish I could give Lowe's ZERO STARS. Let me start off by saying, my husband and I are first time homeowners and have several projects we plan to accomplish in the future. We used lowes installment services for a chain link fence for our back yard. They were very quick to have us sign the contract and charge my Lowe's credit card for the job. We waited over 6 weeks, the supplies got delivered and contractors showed up at around that 7 week window from the contract agreement. The contractors start the job only to find out that tension brackets along with other materials were not delivered to be able to put up the chain link properly. They get ahold of Lowe's and Lowe's accuses us of not paying for the supplies. Not only was it on our invoice, they lied and tried to blame us. From here it only got worse. Problem after problem, failed deliveries, contractors no showed, supplies were left everywhere for weeks, my yard was trashed with an incomplete instillation. I can go on and on. My husband after the job was finally finished had been in contact with Lowe's expressing our dissatisfaction and frustration with this "professional" service that cost us $8000. For that amount of money we expect better and were let down. It has been nothing but stress and for our troubles they threw us $99, which has not even been issued to us yet. I will never use any Lowe's again and will be cutting up my credit card with them. No customer should have to go through an experience like this, and the lack of resolution was appalling. Bought washer on 7/27 on Lowes.com. Was told it would be delivered on 7/31. Hoses and valves delivered but no washer. Called in for assistance (waited 2 hours on hold to reach live person) - was told it would then be delivered on 8/3. Received notification on 8/3 that it was delayed until 8/11. Called again on 8/3 (waited another 90 minutes to talk with a live person) Was told it would be delivered on 8/7. Was given an incident # on 8/3 that I would be contacted by Lowe's within 25 hours. Still have not heard from anyone. This event, paired with my appliance purchase in January, that was a fiasco, as diminished my loyalty with Lowe's. So very disappointing. read more

Pretty good inventory but customer service and in store department help sucks. I paid for measuring estimates for a custom project and never heard back I called and was told that the only person who could help me was not in that day and wouldn't back til Thursday. Called Thursday and she was sick. Talked to customer service who assured me that a manager would call be back and take care of it. No call came. Called Friday. Rang rang rang. Hung up and called 2 more times. Only rings. Called later and got the wrong area from the robo assistant. A guy answered and I told him who I needed to speak to. A girl who sounded like she was 16 answered. I told her to write my name and number down and have the ONLY PERSON who could finish my order to call me back if Lowes wanted my business. She eventually called me back and gave me a price and I told her I'd let her know the first of the week. Tuesday I call and she had just left was what I was told. Let my number against n. Wednesday I called and was put on hold for 10 minutes. I was prepared to camp on hild and blink forever til somebody looked at the phone and picked up. Put that call on mobile hold and called again. Someone answered and I asked for the one woman who does all the magic. SHE AIN'T HERE. She gone to lunch. I've had it with big box stores that treat you like garbage. I will find what I need online or at local businesses who want the business and appreciate you as a customer. America is disintegrating from corporate bottom line customer-commodity mindset. Never purchase an appliance from North Chattanooga Lowe's. I purchased a refrigerator online and scheduled a delivery for July 11th at 12:45. They arrived 45 minutes early. The delivery person tore holes in my kitchen floor covering removing the old refrigerator. I called the store to report the damage, the delivery people reported it as existing damage. After repeated calls to the store the claim remains unresolved! Don't ever purchase an appliance from Lowe's in Hixson! read more

My elderly mother picked out flooring and was told they had to send the installers out to measure her home. She was told "between 8-12pmWednesday" she waited till 1pm and called. The lady said she would find out and never called her back. My mom called again at 3pm. A guy said he would find out and then never called back. She finally called around 6pm and asked for a store manager. They said "someone dropped the ball"... never giving her another time or any help. Don't rely on Lowe's to help with installs! It makes me sad they made my mom wait all day, didn't return her calls and left her hanging. Customer service is clearing lacking!!! read more

If I could give a zero rating I would. I ordered a refrigerator, ice maker, washer, and dryer from Lowes 2 weeks before I needed it. The day before delivery, I got a call telling me that the refrigerator was not in stock and they would not be getting it back. So, we went to the store to find out how to get a refund. We were told that we could still get the fridge from the DC and that it could be delivered the day after the original delivery date. We were then supposed to receive the washer, dryer, and ice maker on the original date. The ice maker never showed up. On the original delivery date we did receive our washer and dryer. We then received another call stating that they had forgotten to add the ice maker to the order with the washer and dryer and they could not deliver the icemaker with the fridge. I had to go to the store to pick up the ice maker. Once the fridge was delivered, the icemaker would not fit. They gave me the wrong one! I spent 2 hours in store trying to get the refrigerator taken care of. Then I had to go back, again, to get the ice maker. Now it is the wrong one. I have tried calling about it, but no one can tell me who to call to have the right one delivered and installed. They have offered no help in returning or refunding the icemaker. This happened a week ago. I used my washing machine for the first time yesterday. It flooded my downstairs. When I called about it, all they could offer was to send out a new one on Saturday. I have spent at least 8 hours trying to figure out how to fix what they messed up. I have not been able to get help or compensation for what they did wrong. I am now trying to return all products and get a full refund so I can shop somewhere else. This has been difficult as well. All in all, I will never shop with or recommend Lowes to anyone. Understandably the world is short staffed and people are anxious, but that is no excuse to be short or rude to customers who are being overly polite in asking for help. As a matter of fact, I was a long time Lowes employee in the Fort Oglethorpe branch so I get how people can be and try to always be kinder than necessary. Today, however, we asked for help 3 times and waited 30 mins to which no one ever came to help with blinds. We decided to just buy a pair of similar size at an affordable price because we were really needing help but figured we would just try these. Upon checking out, the blinds were more than the tag had shown. I asked my fiancé about the price difference and the self checkout lady overheard us and interrupted saying "these are room darkening so they are more". I replied thank you but the place where these were had a price sticker under them." She called another lady to help and she came in telling us she "can't be everywhere" and the "people stocking make mistakes" in a hateful tone. Trying to prevent others from buying them and Lowe's having confrontation on pricing, I said "oh, there are several back there marked this price then". She keep said she can't be everywhere and went and looked and came back saying that yes they were in a wrong spot and to honor the price in a way that made it out like we were just a pain. We can't help what people may or may not do on their jobs. Nor can we help people having a bad day, but that doesn't mean you be rude to the people who keep a company going. Was in Lowes at 6:30 pm on 04/20/22, at Customer service a man was trying to pick up a mulch order which was supposed to be waiting for him, which no one could find. A employee named Tyler came up and told the man Home Depot sells mulch and was a smart ass about it. The man asked to speak with a manager and the young male manager spoke with Tyler first, they laughed about what he said. Then the manager went to speak with the customer. The guy who was working the door department Friday afternoon last week was very rude. He acted like my sister and I were a huge inconvenience for asking an easy, quick question about door measurements. I knew he was dealing with another customer but I clearly didn't mind waiting because I didn't interrupt and patiently stood by the desk so other people knew I was next in line for his assistance. When he asked what I needed I tried to ask him my question and he cut me off before I could even finish. The answer he gave me was not helpful and he quickly turned away leaving me flustered and angry. My sister and I decided to go next door to Home Depot instead where we were treated with respect and easily got what we needed. I guess I really am a fan. This is one of those places that you have to look out the windshield instead of looking at the rearview mirror. Sure there have been some bumps in the road, but between Home Depot and Lowe's, this is about the journey, not just one visit. If you have your own business or have a house, you know what I mean. I come here at least a couple of times a month. Usually have to come back-not because of them. I get home and find I need more or something else to make the "job" easier. Yeah, There has been rude customer service personnel in the past, but that was dealt with by the mgmt. Ultimately, we were taken care of by the store mgmt. And I think the end result is what it's about. They realize their customers are their bread and butter, so it gets worked out. One of the major purchases I made here was a set of garage cabinets. We bought the Gladiator garage system. It was fairly simple to install and it has really helped us to organize our cluttered garage. I love having a place for all my stuff. Lawn tools and brooms and drop cords are all on the wall now, creating space for our vehicles and toys. My wife loves the garden center outside. She is always buying plants and flowers here. If your plant dies (within the year I think), just bring it back and they will give you another or refund you. We bought our hardwood flooring at this store as well as faucets, paint, flags, firepits and other little gadgets. I will keep this review short. When I arrived in the mulch area the employee I asked for assistance looked at me and said "I'm sorry I can't help you. I'm very busy" and walked away from me. I eventually found the type of bagged mulch I was looking for on my own and loaded 20 large bags of it by myself onto a cart I found. Then when I went to checkout, I waited about 5 minutes in line all while the cashier let two people cut in front of me while I pushed my large and heavy cart to her. But when I reached the counter she walked away from me and said she had something else to do before she could process my purchases... I waited again and she eventually returned. When she returned, she told me to insert my credit card in the machine (I complied) and then she pressed a button on her computer and canceled my purchase. She then proceeded to blame me for the canceled purchase and snapped at me that I "messed it all up" .... after all I did was follow her instructions.... Once she finally figured out how to work the register, I paid. As I was completing my purchase an elderly woman (approximately 85 years old) approached the same employee and asked for help in finding a cart. The employee replied "I'm busy" and yelled to another employee that "some lady needs a cart" to which this employee replied "well I don't have any so I don't know what to tell you" as he never even looked and kept watering plants Seeing how confused the elderly woman was, another customer helped the lady get a cart. I then pushed my cart to the opposite end of the parking lot (where my truck was parked) all while passing 3 employees who were doing nothing but watch me push the cart. Each of these employees then sat and watched me load my 20 bags of mulch and other landscape materials by myself without even so much as offering assistance (I guess it would have been much to ask them to help me and actually do their jobs). I will never shop at this Lowes again! Especially with Home Depot located right next door. read more

I was so excited to be replacing our balcony doors with new sliders with the "between window" blinds. The Lowe's team sent a crew of ONE to carry the double doors up the stairs into our home and install. As they were too heavy for one person (obviously!) he took them apart and after installing , the door didn't slide well. You literally have to throw your weight into it to get it open. we lodged a complaint and they sent the same guy back to replace the rollers, but it didn't help at all. I wI'll be looking for a professional firm to tear them out and replace with something that functions and will never use Lowe's again as anything but a DIYer supply house. It's hard to find good help at this store. The cashiers are nice but many sales associates are uneducated about their products. Last night I went to purchase a water heater and rested it horizontally on the flat cart to get it to my car. Two associates stopped me and told me that I had to leave it vertical for 48 hours so the oil in the compressor will drain down. This may be true for refrigerators but is totally wrong advice for water heaters which have no oil or compressor in them. read more

I live in Ooltewah and have called & visited the local Lowe's searching for plants, i have never seen such terrible plants in my life and the customer service sucks big time. Today however I met Richard over at Lowe's on Hixson, not only does he know about plants but his plants are all in great shape, and carries an amazing array of foliage that it will knock your sock off! If I could leave them a 0 I would! I bought a washer and dryer there to be delivered from warehouse on the following Sat between 10-12! At 10:30 I got a text saying it would be 1:30-5:30. That's after I had a whole crew on alert from 10-12. I'm a widow and needed help I this was a major aggravation ! About 5:15 I got another text saying their truck had broken down and I had choice b/t Tues and Thursday of following week! With receipt in hand, I headed to Lowe's! The management at door was great and helped me get $ back and purchase an in store washer & dryer and she got her head cashier do refund! She even met me at door and helped me position the uhaul to ick up washer and dryer! Both her and the head cashier, Lu, I believe stayed with me until I drove off with new washer and dryer! That's the kind of pr and service I would give my customers especially the ones that qualified for a $ 9,000 limit and free interest for a yr! I wash so ticked with my new washer and dryer that on Sunday evening I decided to go back in and Christmas shop and get tree and tree decorations o my new credit card! When I walked in , I was shocked that the atmosphere was so so different. Jennifer, management on duty at door was grumpy, rude and unhelpful from the onset and only got worse! I loaded buggy # 1 , checked out and asked about loading... he pointed to middle door and went to next customer. I decided just to load it myself and headed to the semi dark parking lot with my load! Then a guy appeared and said can I help you find your car... I said no I'm fine! He kept insisting and pushed the emergency button on my key chain ! When car when off and he spotted it , he said he'd help load. Are u kidding me? It's dark.. I'm an elderly female and a stranger wants to go to my car! I emphatically said NO and he stomped off! I then loaded my stuff in car and went back in to buy tree and trimming. I looked up and there was good ole Jennifer and that guy... This time he had a Lowe's. Vest on all decorated up like he was employ of year! Right before I got up to them... he left and Jennifer stopped me to say you ought to be glad I was around... he wanted to call the police! Huh? For what pray tell and I proceeded in to the garden dept where it was obvious that clerk wasn't going to help me because he never looked up when I asked ... just kept closing place down! Then he left garden dept all together. So I loaded my 6-7 live tree on a gurney and got my other decorations and preceded to same ck out! I ckes out again and again I asked for someone to load the stuff. He acted bewildered like he didn't have any idea Lowes loaded. So I go to same door and good ole grumpy Jennifer appears! She acted disgusted that I expected to have help loading. Made several excuses about everyone busy line long and I was at the wrong door!!! I moved to where she said and again she acted disgusted that anyone wanted loading 30 minutes b4 store closed. She disappeared and I pulled car up and she came out even grumpier and said she'd have to load it herself and hesitated . I said I'd do it myself. She left! After heaving that tree into my full suv I was pretty tired. I looked up and this black car was in front and good ole Jennifer was laughing hanging almost inside car!! As I drove by, I stopped and calmly said she could use some pr training from morning people! She went off! Not sure what she said but I sped up and went over speed bump a little too fast! My trunk flew open and all my stuff was thrown all over road! I'm sure cameras got this unless good ole Todd the gm erased them! I went up and turned around and a crowd had gathered trying to help me recover my stuff. Never saw the guy or good ole Jennifer! Nobody on Lowe's staff bothered to help! I was rattled when I got home and it was dark dark by then and I decided to unload on am! Monday morning as I was unloading I remembered I had all the stuff from spending nite with friend still in car when it fell out! In my stuff was a lockbox with a gun and meds that I'd taken with me to friends house! I thought I'd put it in car but I did call friend to make sure and she said remember you put it in back up close to seats! My next step was to call Lowe's... since everyone knew me from e perience that night, I was hoping they'd found it and put it in safe like we do at Marshall's if we know a customer left it. Imagine my surprise when Lowe's told me it was at police station and I'd have to have background ck to get it back! Are you freaking kidding me? I have a registered gun with a carry permit that doesn't expire ftil 2025 and these twerps are trying to cover up something!!! I absolutely love Lowe's. Power tools, gardening supplies and paint. What more would a girl want? How about a sale? Yes, Please. I prefer Lowe's to most other home improvement centers due to the incredible sales on perennials (3/10 phlox) and of curse their organic seeds for veggies and flowers. Customer service is always above and beyond. I have been given flowers, veggies and wood for free. On top of the 1 year warranty they offer on all plants. Thank you Lowe's. I bought a lawn mower from Lowe's and have had nothing but problems with it. I brought it in to be fixed - it is self propelled and would not move - It was returned to me with the note that there was nothing wrong with it. I fired it up at home and it would not work. I went back to complain and ask for a refund. I have never been treated so poorly by any retailer ever. The young women was rude, abrasive, antagonistic, and totally without any sense of manners. I still have a lawn mower that won't work. Avoid this location and its incompetent repair department. This Lowe's is sadly lacking in management oversight. read more

Mark in hardware was taking his bad day out on customers, and my kids. He cussed a customer before me and degraded him telling he was installing hardware the wrong way and no wonder it didn't work (in a snarky voice) when it was my turn he said they did not have what I needed, I ask for an long eye bolt, as someone he knew walked up. He ended helping me to talk with his pal. He nodded and said over on 17.... I ask for him to show me, he took off leaving me way behind in an impressive speed walk pace for a 54 year old. How do I know his age, he tells me soon when is is degrading me. We walk just one row over to 17 and he ask, "do you need anything else? I reply thank you. He walks back to the key station and starts talking shit about me to a co worker. I get the eyebolts and walk back over for a 1 more but and washer, and inform Mark that I could hear him talking about me, and he cussed in-front of my bat eared 6 year old and 2 year old. He told me he didn't cuss. Yes you did, I heard you. Then he said he was 54 and had been helping people since before I was born. I'm 35 (he didn't ask) apparently he has been working at Lowe's for way too long, one too many keys cut by mark...... yikes! I ask he he was having a bad day and he ended the conversation with, "My day will be better when I'm done talking to you" to make things worse I was so flustered after speaking with mark that I didn't even get the other hardware I needed.... the next associate said that Mark is always in a fowl mood... (hello management!) the guys at the loading dock (didn't forget to get mulch that's on sale) said they avoid Mark as well... yikes I'm a Lowe's guy and will hope to be on my best behavior to try and make Marks day better if I see him again. I recommend a non customer service job for Mark, the next guy may not be as nice as me and knock your "hair" off your head. Spoke with manager at check out she was nice, so was other cashier that helped me with mulch questions. I spend $100 to $500 when I come in Slowes and expect better. read more

It's veteran's day. I'm a veteran. I went into Lowe's to get one thing. I saw where you had to get a Lowe's card for military discount. So I went to the customer service desk and asked about how I get the Lowe's card. She said well do you have a military id. She said it with a definite tone that me( an in shape, high 20s year old girl) did not have a military id. I said yes I do have it. She said well do you know when your separation date was. I said yes I do. Then she said okay you can go online and register yourself then. I said well I would like the discount today and she said oh they will give it to you at the registers today with your id. So I went to the self check out and asked the lady if she could do the military discount. She was holding my id and asked if this was my dads. #1 quit insulting me that I did my time and served my country on active duty. #2. Look at the picture on the id. I said it's mine. I'm on the picture. She said well they make us ask this. I said no I don't think they do make you ask if this is my dad's id when I'm on the Id. Then she went into a big long spill about going up to customer service and I showed her my pamphlet the woman gave me and told her she said I don't need to today and you could do it. Then when I said I'll just go to another register, the woman that insulted me finally did it. Worst ever experience on veteran's day. Way to go. Way to insult me twice on vet day when I have an actual id because I'm still in my contract of serving. read more

I have been a Lowe's customer for a long time. I don't write many negative reviews, but I have been extremely frustrated with my online purchase of a dishwasher. I have previously used Best Buy, which I wish I had used this time. In ordering online for the Father's Day "sale", I couldn't find where it gave me the option for installation or for additional parts I might need for installation. After placing the order, I called the 800 customer service number, and was told that they would make sure that there was a note added that I wanted to dishwasher installed. This morning, after finding out the dishwasher was going to be delivered between 12:45 and 4:30, I called the 800 number again to verify that it would be installed since I had paid the haul away fee of $20. The customer service representative assured me that it would be installed when the delivery was made. At 12:05, I received a call from the delivery person letting me know they were on their way. At that time, I asked him if he was notified that the dishwasher was to be installed, and he said they were an independent delivery company (Serpro) and they only delivered the dishwasher, but didn't install or haul away. Serpro was very efficient and workers very nice, but I still have a dishwasher in a box. I called my local Lowe's and was informed that I would have to make a trip to the store and sign papers for installation, which cost another $99.00 plus the cost of the fill hose, which I needed for installation. I was also informed that they would call me Wednesday or Thursday of this week (today is Monday) to set up the installation. So, as of now, I have a dishwasher in a box sitting in my kitchen, and I am waiting for a call to schedule the installation. They couldn't even give me a day for installation when in the store. I have never seen anything like this. I will not buy again from Lowe's or recommend to anyone. Better stick with Best Buy to give you all the online options on what you need for installation and choices of dates for installation. Very disappointing. read more

Wandered the several aisles of lighting stuff today for about half an hour looking for a timer. At least four employees passed by me and never offered assistance. I did see a sign that said "Need help? Just ask." but I guess I was just waiting to see if anyone offered. It left me feeling like Lowe's customer service is going downhill. went to lowes on hwy 153 on sunday oct. 5 to buy 18x18" self sticking tiles for a kitchen floorfor a cabin we have at brush creek ,tn. near carthage, tn. bought 192 sf or 10 boxes only to find when we started laying it down that 6 of the boxes had tapered edeges.! we wanted straight edges, did not know that there were tapered edges made, the sales person didn't advise me of the difference. had to return the tiles because we could not use them and the lowes in lebanon,tn didn't have any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! We were looking at hardwood flooring, and had to ask 3 times and get them to call it over and still never got anyone to help us.. Finally a girl from a different department offered to help us but she has no idea what she was doing, although she did try. When we went up to the front to pay for our flooring, the girl working the front yelled across the store to have someone take over for her because she wanted a break and didn't want to deal with it. We will never do business with them again and will suggest others to do the same. Lowes on highway 153 is not worth your time or business. Very aggravated with what we had to deal with tonight. They just lost a lot of money because we did not buy out flooring from them.. read more

November 18, 2015 placed an order for custom exterior doors. Back door arrived wrong size, front door different glass than ordered & jamb was not correct. Now February 18 we are told Lowes and their supplier are in a dispute & cannot tell us when we will get our doors. By the by we learned of the dispute by calling them, they have not bothered to call us. read more
