I spoke with Rob on the phone on Friday & dropped in on Saturday to pick up fruit tree food. Rob was so friendly & helpful on the phone, asking me about my needs. In response to his helpful & friendly interaction on the phone, I asked about some other issues (Japanese beetles & pruning) that I was imminently facing (the beetles will be coming in June). Rob (is amazing) & Allison (another in house genius at UHS) have completely won me over. They are kindred souls who freely share their knowledge but do not hesitate to smile & tap out when you tread on ground that they have not worked. I love people that are willing to say, "I don't have experience in that area." I picked up some other items that I didn't know I needed when I dropped in. I love small businesses & I love good & kind people. Urban Horticulture Supply is my new go-to place for the best information & products & a happiness recharge. Their seeds & seedlings are priced well & I am confident that they will bring a fantastic harvest!

We've brought home several gorgeous, healthy plants. It's so nice being in this store that we frequently find reasons to buy from them. My husband said that Ace was "built on a single screw". So, I will go there from now on. Besides, Ace is too high. If you need something quick it's fine but I can go elsewhere and get things cheaper and the quality is just as good.

We went mainly for a nice drive to pick up PPE supplies. We ended up browsing a lovely outside section of plants. They had herbs, bushes, and some flowers. The hardware store is small, clean, friendly and all-around economically priced. It's nice to have a local hardware store, as opposed to having to always shop at the big box stores. I find huge warehouses incredibly uncomfortable to shop at, simply because they are too large, yet never have what you need, or are looking for. When I finally get to ask for a product, I'm told it's upfront somewhere in a bin. I search and finally locate the bin in my own, but now there's no pricing. I take a sample to the checkout line and start asking the cashier for a price. Brenda now comes up front, and interrupted me once again, and says they are out back. Or small bags on an aisle. Now for another search mission. Finally found it. Back to the checkout with now one register and 7 people in line. Finally when I am 2 away, another cash register opens. Cashier asks if I want a bag for my goods. Of course I do, but since she asked such a dumb question, I carry my 3 items on my chest to my car. Service assistance hit the rock bottom at this store.
