This third-party said they were with Ship Happens. We paid a premium to have them install a Bosch dishwasher. They didn't bring the right equipment to install the dishwasher and said it was against company policy for them to run the lines. I expressed my frustration over the situation. I went outside to call Electronics Express who didn't even know the name of their third-party delivery service and was on the phone with them for about 30 minutes trying to figure out what we needed for the dishwasher. They ended up leaving the microwave in the box in the middle of the kitchen floor, unboxed the remaining appliances, left them in the garage and told my husband they felt "disrespected" and left. From the time they arrived late afternoon on a Friday, it was obvious they didn't want to do this job. It was the worst service and customer service I have ever experienced! Electronics Express, I have bought from you many times and have had a good delivery experience. You need to change delivery services if you intend to stay in business.

I was not informed about the restocking fee when I made the purchase. Then a manager Christy came over and told me that there was nothing she could do for me. She said that I should have signed for the restocking fee twice before I made the purchase. But this was an online order for in-store pick up so I wasn't aware or have any knowledge of the restocking fee policy. After a few minutes, that manger told me that the restocking fee policy would have been on my order confirmation email. I showed her the email but there was no restocking fee stated. Then she told me again that there was nothing she can do for me and if I wanted to have all my restocking fees waived, I would have to buy the totaltech membership for $199.99. I felt that I was treated differently due to my Asian descent and I let the manager know that. She then said: "you're pulling the race card?" And: "you can get out the store now." When she called 911, she gave a description of me as an Asian man. She told the operator that I may have a weapon. I was in shorts and tshirt so you can clearly see that I don't have any weapons on me. I was a police officer in Virginia so I know you can't just throw me out of the store because you don't want to help me due to my race. The manager told the officers to ban me from this store. I didn't threaten anyone nor have any weapons on me. This is discrimination to the next level. If Best Buy is OK with this behavior then just let me know so my family and I can shop somewhere else where we don't get treated differently due to our race.

Upon delivery, the cabinets had visible paint damage through the shrink wrap, which was the only packaging used. The truck driver, Eric Wilhite, who was hired by Rustic Woodworx, helped open the wrap, inspect the damage, and arranged a video call with Randy Hamblen. During that call, Randy agreed that I should obtain bids from local painters and that Rustic would reimburse the repaint cost. After the call, I also sent Randy detailed photos of all paint-damaged areas. I received multiple quotes and informed Randy that the lowest bid was $800, which he approved. After the work was completed, I sent photos of the paint preparation, paint work, and the proof of payment to the painter to Randy on September 7. On September 12, Randy responded: "Good afternoon, did the painter provide any kind of detailed invoice? The insurance company is asking for one. Trying to get this expedited for you. Thank you for your patience." I provided the requested detailed invoice on September 15. Since then, I have reached out repeatedly--via text messages on Sept 20, Sept 27, Oct 9, Nov 17, and Nov 24--and left multiple voicemails, as he is not answering my phone calls. My wife also attempted to contact Janet Hamblen without success. We have not received a single reply from Rustic Woodworx since September 12. It has now been several months, and despite our efforts to resolve this matter patiently, Rustic Woodworx has not followed through on the agreed reimbursement or provided any update. I am disappointed by the lack of communication and accountability. I hope this review prompts the company to finally respond and resolve this outstanding issue.

They cannot answer questions related to painting or gardening, or much else for that matter. Even one of the young managers hadn't heard of a particular hedge trimmer we needed. It seems they are out of stock of items that we have needed more times than not. Anything from a Yeti 30oz lid to a Rustoleum spray paint I needed more of. In April, we needed our chainsaw fixed. The young manager I mentioned earlier told us they were too backed up so we would need to take it to another local Ace store- which is across town and far away from our house. We do a lot of home projects and like to keep our home beautifully maintained so we definitely need a good hardware store with knowledgeable employees. Today, though was it. My husband, who is known for being patient and kind, needed a part for our BGEGG. A young employee said he would get the manager...20 minutes later, still no manager. He was in "the back" according to the employee. With other errands left to get done, my husband left the store. After running the other errands, he went back by Ace. This time he waited 35 minutes. This is terrible customer service. No one was telling my husband anything. He was just waiting all that time. So unprofessional and just plain rude. The parking lot is full every single day and I know they do a lot of business. But when you are a customer who needs help with a problem or has questions, the East Brainerd Elder's Ace is lacking. I don't know if there's a shortage of adults or managers working. It is not like the commercial that says Ace is the place for a helpful hardware store. The 2 girls in the front state that the store has no control over shipments. This is at 5pm. At 10pm, I receive an email "your order has been delivered to the store". So you're telling me a truck came on a Sunday after 5pm to deliver my package? On Monday we return to the store and they can't locate my package again. This is a 4 foot sign; it shouldn't just go missing. They eventually found it, after three women including the manager spent ten minutes looking for it. It shouldn't be this hard to pick up one $60 sign. I hope they do not treat all of their customers this way and misplace orders often.
