Howdy folks! Anyone know any lawyers who want to chew on Lowe's for damaging my AC unit during a flooring install? My door was left wide open and my single hallway blocked with material so I was unable to reach the thermostat to turn off my unit. I'm just glad there wasn't a fire. Any help for moving forward? I just got off the phone with them and was told they aren't responsible for the damage to my system. Thoughts or help? read more

I bought a refrigerator on sale and waited two weeks for them to deliver it. It arrived damaged and they said they do not have a replacement. So now I have the option to accept a lesser model at the same price or buy another model at full price. If this is how they treat their Gold Pro members, I'm better off moving my business to Home Depot. read more

Truth is, I generally like Home Depot better than Lowes, but here in Front Royal, it's Lowes. We have a little independent place in town too, but most of the staff there doesn't understand their products and applications, and doesn't seem to care. So, for the last few years, I've done most of my hardware store shopping at the Front Royal Lowes, even bought a riding mower and a couple of appliances from them. They're imperfect, but the staff is generally friendly and helpful, and when they don't know the answer they collaborate with team members to get an answer, which I've seen them voluntarily do quite a number of times. I really appreciate genuine effort like that. Now, if they could get rid of that annoying, periodic Covid safety info off of their PA system. What do think this is, Portland? read more

We had a microwave installed and the back is 1/2 inch lower than the front, and it is not centered under the cabinet. I paid Lowe's $149 for the installation. I have called several times and left messages. I went to the store, since no one returned my calls. Had to leave a msg for the manager because they were having a store meeting. Still no return call. I advise people to save their money, and just get a handyman to do installations. Probably a lot cheaper, too! read more

It's a bad experience every single time. Lowe's apparently works with some of the most incompetent contractors on the planet. They "couldn't find" my appliance for the install, even though it was sitting at the store the entire time. Still had 7 hours to keep the appointment, but said they had to now push it back because it got booked. We are now going another week without this appliance. I have zero confidence in anyone to get anything done. Also, good luck calling in for help. You're just on hold for an eternity while waiting for someone with zero ability to help anything. Most of the workers are helpful and friendly but one evening me and my husband went in looking for something and we ask 2 people that worked there if they could tell us where the item we were looking for was located but they simply said I don't know and went on about their business. Another worker must have overheard us ask the other 2 employees and he came up and said he would help us and he did. read more

Today I needed to purchase three toilets for a home upgrade-project. I didn't know much about toilets but had a recommendation from our contractor. A lovely young man named Marshall helped us learn what we needed to know to make our selections. He could not have been more helpful. He loaded them on a cart, helped us check out, and loaded our purchases into our car. He was knowledgeable, kind, patient, and very very accommodating. i came to Lowe's to get hardware for my dressers as we just moved and had professionals at the house putting our furniture together. my shopping experience got cut short when I got a text that the plumbers will be at my home in 20/30 minutes (I live in Strasburg) and i had to be there to explain my plumbing problem. So now my trip gets cut short and i'm now pressed for time. i go to what looks like self checkout with 3 registers. one gentleman was at one and as i walk up a staff member walk up and tells me she has to ring me up, i said help him (the guy who was there before me). i tell her I got, she said she had to ring me up and started scanning my items (10 packs of hardware for $2.47 each). I kindly said i got it. help him (still referring to the guy that was there BEFORE me) at this time he left and two other customers occupy the other 2 registers and i told her to help them. at this point i'm pissed because i start feeling harassed because i told the bug no about 5 times now. i then yell "Back the hell up out my space and help one of these gentleman, since you HAVE to ring someone up) hated to yell but that was the only way to back her ass up. I aggressively proceeded to ring up my items. she softly asked the guy next to me if he needed help, he puts his hand up and says no and she politely backed up. so i said wow that was easy. she walks away. then as i hit pay now a message come up on my screen, saying you only scanned 11 items please hit the back button (mind you i only had 10 so 1 extra got scanned between her or myself) or ask for assistance. which means her ass pushed something on the gadget they hold, i give a sigh and dirty look, then the screen cleared so I can pay. i'm guessing she asked for help because 3 supervisors/staff walked over to her and as they were talking to her. I asked which one of y'all are the supervisor. told her the story and of course she tried to justify her actions which she couldn't because why didn't she help the other 3 people that rang out between that time and the spotlight was on ME. the supervisor said she has to ring up the first person here, i said a gentleman was here first that she didn't ring up so i wasn't the first person and by this time 3 people came up and she helped NOT 1, so that's BS, than passively tells me to have a blessed day and i told her to kiss my ass... Home Depot will be our new stop for the rest of our home finishings. Clearly the ASSumption deeper than that because i've been shopping at that particular lowe's for years and NEVER had that kind experience and they won't get a chance to do it again... read more

Unpleasant Kitchen Renovation: We highly recommend locating a local contractor to perform your kitchen renovation and purchasing materials somewhere other than here. We started our Kitchen renovation planning in November and as of February 22, 2021, it still isn't done. The cabinets took about 1.5 months, Lowes of Culpepper, VA cancelled two of our appliances stating the manufacturer cancelled them. I spent 3 hours on the phone with Lowes via two calls to try and reorder the two appliances they cancelled. The delivery dates were well into the end of March. I didn't think we had a choice so we ordered those two appliances. After searching on the internet, I found that we were able to order the two appliances direct from the manufacturer without any issues. So, I cancelled the two that we reordered through Lowes. Also, when Lowes of Culpepper, VA cancelled the two original appliances, we lost-out on the sale price package raising the cost of our other appliances. No one from Lowes coordinates the flooring, cabinets, and granite install and tear-out despite you paying for all of these things through them. You have to try and guess which process starts first and call each to coordinate them. It's a mess. No one from the Front Royal, Virginia store bothers to return your calls or emails either. We told Lowes Corporate of our challenges but kept being passed around from customer service to install (who are not pleasant at all). Lowes Corporate told us they would have the store management contact us, but they never have. We spent about $36,000 in products and services through Lowes to renovate our kitchen and it's been the most unpleasant renovation experience of our life. The Lowes Cabinet contractor ripped-out our cabinets and appliances in January and the flooring was supposed to be next, however, the Lowes Flooring contractor cancelled twice, once for automobile troubles and then next for "weather." Lowes corporate told us there was nothing they could do until we told them that they either call the contractor or we call our attorney. Finally, install called the flooring contractor and told us the flooring contractor would call the next day to schedule something for the next few days. However, the flooring contractor called back and told us that they cannot perform the flooring for another 12 days and told us it would about one week to tear-out and install. Once Lowes installs the flooring, the cabinets have to be installed, granite template performed, granite cutting and installation, and then appliance installation. Keep in mind that you must call Lowes to deliver your flooring materials because the installer does not pick them up (no one told us that either until we enquired to corporate). Once the flooring contractors showed up, they did not know that they had to rip up the existing hard wood floor and did not have a truck to haul it away. We had to show them the contract indicating that were to remove the existing hardwood and have them call their management to confirm. They also did not have hardy backer screws and asked us to go buy them. So we did. Then they told us Lowes did not deliver all the bags used to complete the tile work and they called Lowes of front royal to resolve. The flooring contractors told me that Lowes of Front Royal had the bags at the front customer service desk and to go get them. Once I was there, they put me through the wringer insinuating that I was being deceitful and telling me that I had no proof that we did not receive some of the order, despite the flooring contractor calling them. So, I left without the product shortage and purchased it from another store. Also, we went to pick-out our granite slab and they only had one slab of the product we chose and it looked almost nothing like the granite we chose. We have never been to a granite place to pick-out our granite slab and there only be one slab that you are stuck with. We will easily be without a kitchen for another 1 month at least now with no apologies from Lowes corporate or the Front Royal Store. This has been an unacceptable disaster. Home Depot will now get our business. Rethink doing your kitchen renovation through Lowes unless you wish to experience the same mess as we are currently experiencing. read more

He was gracious and patient with me after I changed my mind on which oven range model I wanted, AFTER he has already pulled the first unit down. Some of these reviews are hilarious. Lowe's here was on point, items were easy to find, the staff eager to assist, even as we walked in asking if they could help us find something. When we told him we were looking for a soldering iron, he knew exactly where to take us, which showed his knowledge of the store. This review is specifically for a young man nnamed Erich that works in customer service. I frequent Lowes often and whenever I need help in customer service, he always on every occasion has been extremely helpful. Erich really goes above and beyond to help me. Last night I was going to order something on the App because I couldn't find it in the store. Right away Erich says to me...we do have the item here now, let me walk you over and show you exactly where it is and sure enough it was where he showed me. I was very thankful that I didn't have to go through the trouble of ordering it and having to come and pick it up. Yesterday wasn't the first time Erich has gone out of way to help me. There have been many occasions and that is why I am taking the time to write this review! Erich is an employee who really goes the extra mile. I hope that his manager sees what an amazing employee he is and promotes him up the ladder within Lowes. waited for 2 weeks and was told different times to wait at home for 4 hours for a grill to be delivered. Finally it arrives, 2 hours late and the grill is in a box. it was supposed to be assembled. Spoke to manager Mark at the store, he was unpleasant and simply said they will look into it. We just asked for a refund and will purchase from Winchester lowes where they can actually accomplish something as simple as this order. read more

W.T.F. ! went out of town memorial weekend. Came back monday morning found grease all over the drive way ,on the side of house and all over the deck ! Lowes had someone pick up my grille for return to the store ? i didn't buy the grille from Lowes,Customer service sucks!!...So they realized they made a mistake and returned it, Parts of the grille laying in the drive way and on the deck, gas cylinder hose stretched from them breaking the support for the cylinder !! On Monday (Oct 1) of this week, I purchased a $2,000 Husqvarna riding mower. It was delivered today (Oct 5) by some pretty nice delivery personnel. I asked them how to start it, but they had to leave ASAP. I now understand why they could not help start it -- dead battery. Why would I want anyone to purchase a very heavy, non mobile lawn mower? Lowe's certainly had sufficient time to put any new mower on a "trickle" charge prior to delivery. read more

My husband and I moved to Front Royal about 6 months ago and started renovating a log cabin in the area. We go into this Lowes at least once, but usually several times a week. Everyone we have encountered has been extremely helpful. We've purchased small items as well as major appliances that required delivery with little issue. We even had to return a dryer and Lowes picked it up from our home at no cost. We will continue to shop here for all of our home projects. read more

I bought a door from Lowes to replace my 150 year old back door, it lasted seven years( dry rotted ). Went back to Lowes bought another back door, had it painted with two coats of lacquer, rain came and the door leaked really, really bad. Told the man in charge of door sales, his solution was to install a storm door so my new door wouldn't get wet. (Kid you not). It is your standard Lowes, but I really like Lowes. This one doesn't come up correctly when you get directions for some reason. So be aware of that if you are not sure where it is located. It is actually located right off of exit 6 on I66. On the same side as Walmart, which I believe comes up correctly when requesting directions. read more

They were out of Magnesium Cloride (salt alternative) so as much as I understand I was not happy. They always seem to have what I need and I get 5% off every purchase with their credit card. That is more than anyone else so I shop there. I love the convenience right off of I66 at exit 6. Service is hit or miss. read more

In the summer of 2015, I installed 7 sets of new black vinyl shutters that I purchased from Lowe's in Front Royal. Fast forward a year, and one set has significantly faded. So I visited Lowe's, and was directed to the door and window department. There, I was told to contact the manufacturer, Alpha Systems, LLC., for a warranty claim. They agreed the shutters should not have faded, while the other's are still in good condition. I attempted to contact the manufacturer over a three week period, but Alpha Systems would never respond to my inquiries for assistance. Subsequently, I returned to Lowe's for assistance. I was told to leave my name and number, and "Matt" would contact me later after he spoke to the manufacturer. It's been several weeks, and no one from Lowe's has contacted me to resolve this issue. I expected better from both Lowe's and the vendor for the shutters. read more

What is going on with Lowes, Front Royal, Va? Lowes finally agreed to a refund on July 26, 2017 from Agent Adrienne in CPO for a project that we were promised, but Lowes could not make good on (dating back to June 20). We have yet to see that refund! On August 4, Front Royal Asst Store Manager Micro told me that he would see that the money was put back on my husband's credit card if I gave him the card info which I did. Micro said he "would send me an email confirmation that he did it." Today, Aug 7, we have neither, and I was told that Micro is on vacation. I have dealt with Lowes since 2004 (ca USD 30-40K); service up to this point has been exemplary! What is going on with their customer service? EDITED: Received. read more

eight weeks into kitchen renovation and project not complete. Three (3) attempts to order cabinets were wrong, Hardware (pulls and closures wrong, light fixture wrong. Delivery times and schedules are not correct. Lowes' CPO is inattentive and uncommunicative. Every time i go in there i have to help myself. It seems like there is never an employee there to help, its like they run from you. And if you do find someone they bothered by it. the floor customer service sucks, cashiers are the only good thing about this place. Contracted with Lowe's in Front Royal to do a one-month renovation project (their estimate, not mine). Took 3 months to start the project then 8 months to complete it. Problem: contractor just didn't show up, week after week. Constant communication with Lowes, both local and HQ, to move the project along. Lowe's simply dragged it out. Why? - because they require the entire project to paid in full in advance, so there is no hook to make them finish in a timely manner. There were also several major mistakes on their part that the customer had to then compromise on. I rate Lowe's project management at 1 star but contractor work quality at 3 stars (taking in to account errors they made), so I average final rating at 2 stars. The work is good, when done properly, but be advised -- don't expect your project to be completed anytime soon. They are in No Rush, and don't seem to care if you need your space back. Before you contract with Lowe's on a home renovation project, remember my situation: their project calendar: 1 month effort -- actual project time: 8 months work (11 months total). Even for a man of leisure such as myself -- this was ridiculous. And, those on their project team should be embarrassed at how long they took to complete the project. I have much more contract renovation to do but it won't be with Lowe's, for sure. read more

Great place to shop if you know what you are looking for and where to find it. I have been going to this store since it opened. And have had to talk to 3 managers in that time to get things resolved. I spoke to an employee in the doors section and asked for plastic horseshoe shims. He took me to the PVC trim boards. Another time I needed help loading cabinets. I waited out front for 40 minutes, i timed it. Had 3 employees walk by me not saying anything and i was parked in front of the main entrance. I have had many experiences where i had to walk half the store to find someone for help. The employees are nice people when you talk to them but not knowledgeable in the materials they are selling or how to do the work. And if they are knowledgeable they not allowed to tell you anything due to liability issues. I have had 4 employees tell me they were not permitted to give me ideas how to perform installs because of liability and could be fired if management found out they did. Not like hardware stores of old when people knew how to do the work and what you needed and knew the materials they sold. read more

I bought a refrigerator for my son. They delivered it, but refused to haul away the old one even though they had been paid to do so. I contacted the store, and the delivery company, both of which promised that it would be taken care of. Two days later and neither the store nor the delivery firm will return my calls, meanwhile the old refrigerator sits outside and is a potential hazard for neighborhood children. The "manager" who seemed so willing to handle this Sunday even gave me a bogus email address, so I am left with complaining here. I will not shop here again. read more

My fathers water well stopped working this week. I spent Friday pulling up the well pump only to find out the wire leading down was busted. It was too late Friday to go to a well supply store (closed for the day) to get a new wire. So the next day I headed to Lowe's to see what, if anything, they had. I was looking in the electrical aisle trying to see what they had wire wise (It is a special type wire) when a real nice Lowe's lady asked me if I need help. I wish I got her name because not only did she know exactly what I wanted but she showed me everything I asked for. Even though some of the parts where in the plumbing aisle she still found them. Ordered a garage door. Felt like I was saving money and it was only going to take two weeks. Well, it's been two weeks and no one know or cares where the door is. The installer called almost a week ago to say he needed to measure. I left three messages and called back four times. He hasn't called me back yet. So I called Lowes. Was told I had picked up the door, but I didn't. Was them told the installer had the door, but was then told he doesn't. Even though we measured and had to re measure to answer our sales associates questions, and we were never told they measure, just when I was expecting the door, they want to measure. I didn't understand. It's been days since I've heard anything more, so I went to Lowes and was told again the installer has the door and that the employee I spoke to in installation gets everything wrong. That is what the supervisor said. He also said Lowes just sells installation and does not get involved. So if Lowes could care less about the missing door and the installer won't call me back, where do I go from here? I paid Lowes for the door. I don't have the door. The installer won't call me and Lowes says he has it, then says he does not, then says he does. Shouldn't it be on my house? It's not. Not getting anywhere with Lowes. Then read others have had bad experiences with Lowes. I regret going there for the garage door. read more

If you have to deal with the customer service at the front of the store be prepared to be treated poorly. I went to pickup a special order drove 25 miles and left without the order because the customer service was so pathetic! Seriously!! This poor girl was trying to figure out how to do something for another customer while another older balder guy stood there staring. He could have atleast aknowledged me. Then another associate came up front so, I aksed if I could please get the order called to the back. She turned to the balding guy and said is this part of this order and he said no so, I was totally ignored and I left the store and came home and am nopw writing about my experience there tonight. Believe me when I go back up tomorrow they had better do some serious apologizing or they can refund me my money. I would like to say that the black guy in doors is awesome and he did the ordering for me. Anyway customer service sucks so be prepared to deal with ignorance when entering this Lowes. read more
