I ordered a washer and dryer set online, and I was told it would be delivered within 2 days. It has now been 2.5 weeks, 8 phone calls to the 800 number, 5 phone calls to the store with the items, 10 hours spent on the phone, spoke to 2 supervisors and two managers, all telling me this is resolved and will be remedied soon. I am now being told just to cancel it and reorder it because THEY made a mistake. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, do NOT CARE about your business or money you spend or your time. I was warned about this, but now I learned first hand. I am now stuck to call my credit card and find a new washer dryer set and wait who knows how long to get something. ZERO HELP from Lowes at all. We were driving nearby and needed some dowel rods, so we stopped in. I have always had a good experience shopping here. Today we parked near some special parking spots that are reserved for the various branches of the military! The sign reads: Welcome to our home, we support the Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy. One special sign designated for each branch. There is also an American flag proudly flying on the front of the store. I really loved seeing this patriotism proudly on display! Inside we had to ask for help finding the dowel rods, they weren't immediately found by the lumber area as we thought, but further down in the back middle section of the store. Walking in the store I was glad to see a huge selection of Craftsman Tools. For years growing up, I would accompany my dad to Sears to get Craftsman tools. So glad they can be found here! They also had a fun display of T-shirts! I also walked by the plastic storage totes where I saw a stack of them that were clearly damaged and broken. No one is going to buy those, especially if they appear fragile and not very sturdy. An alert associate might want to notice that and remove the damaged goods from the shelf. The associates working here that I have encountered have always been friendly and helpful. Received a fridge today & the instructions were to switch the handle swing. The deliverer first said that those instructions were not included on the order. Then, somehow managed to find the instructions. After switching the door, they left fingerprints all over the stainless steel fridge. I asked about it & they said "just polish it." I am very dissatisfied with this experience!! I called a manager to be put on hold for more than 10 minutes. But, he could t do anything & said the delivery coordinator would call me. More to come... I hope they rectify this incident Follow-up: I will not go to the Lowe's at this location EVER Again! The manager was unable to resolve my issue & was argumentative. The Lowe's Difference... Pricing, Product and People! I'll make the drive over to this Lowe's even though I live much closer to a Home Depot. I feel they have better prices, and I'm pretty much assured of that with my Lowe's 5% off card. Also, they have much better inventory management. Half the time I go to HD they are out of stock on what I needed. Third, they have some brands that I prefer over those at HD... a big one is paint. But what's more, they have really good people too . Bob is the manager there and he's a super reasonable guy. I think he's been there for like 10 or 12 years. When he was working on our issue tonight I just knew he'd make it right. My review is based on my experience getting my kitchen renovated through this store and how it is still not resolved. Never using Lowe's for any of my renovation needs outside of supplies. It all began in February when I was recommended to do a virtual design since I wasn't able to come in-store. A designer named Kyle helped me. In the beginning, everything was fine and Lowe's promised that they had electricians, plumbers, and everything I needed. It was also guaranteed that the design and layout I wanted could be done. The measurements are done and I've paid. Despite my cabinets arriving, they could not be installed until my appliances arrived. My delivery dates kept getting pushed back from March to April/May. Inquiring what was taking so long, I was contacted by corporate that my order had been canceled without me being notified and without a refund. Contacted Kyle and was told he never checked in on my project and that some of my appliances were no longer available and I had to get replacements. I should've cancelled the project then but I had cabinets and some appliances sitting in my condo already. I got in contact with the store manager and assistant manager (Craig and Assistant Manager Rueben) wondering how this could happen. Ended up finding appliances that closely matched what I originally ordered. Finally got the cabinets installed, which the installers (Dallas Kitchen & Bath) who did them did an amazing job. Also found out one of my cabinets was damaged. While installing my appliances that's when I found out that Lowe's doesn't do electrical like I was told to install my wall oven. I had to hire an outside electrician to install my wall oven and Craig reimbursed me for the invoice. I got my floors done and the installers were again amazing. You would think that someone would look over my project to make sure everything was able to get done, but no. It wasn't until I had a routine electrical maintenance check that my electrician stated that my separate wall oven and cooktop wouldn't work. Got in contact with Craig, Rueben, and AB about what to do and why no one caught that despite being told it was able to get done. I had to deviate from my initial design and get a range. I was told I was going to get reimbursed for the cabinet that had to come out to make space for the range and I never got that refund. I had an inoperable kitchen with only a microwave and nothing else for months. Craig had to come out and see for himself the state of my small kitchen. I finally got a temporary sink and countertop to use. Skipped to finally getting my measurements done for the flooring and getting my floors installed. Even Harry from higher-ups came and checked in on the progress to make sure everything was going smoothly. The installer (I want to say Service Pros) was once again awesome. He was quick and very communicative and cleaned up after himself. Then came the countertops. I had to get my measurements redone which was fine but it took longer to get them redone. Got the measurements and waited for the countertops to come in and get installed. Again, the installers were amazing. Now I can get the rest of my appliances installed. It took three times for the Lowe's associate over my project to get the install correct which was still wrong. Service Pros (the installer) ended up installing my sink and disposal and coming back on a Monday morning to purchase the piping for the sink and install my dishwasher instead of going back through Lowe's to get the installation paperwork done correctly. My backsplash was installed by Lowe's which turned out okay. My kitchen didn't get finished until October and I have been trying to get in contact with a manager to get my refund for my cabinet and outstanding invoice. I am not able to fully use a drawer and cabinet since the range is blocking it. 9 months for a small kitchen and I am still not able to get in contact with a manager. It is December. I stopped by to purchase some paint this past weekend, and needed help sealing some window gaps. Paul assisted me with selecting my paint, and then showed me a couple backer rod options for the windows. He took those with him to the paint department, as I kept shopping. When I arrived to pick-up my paint, he had gotten me a cart and placed my items in there. He said he thought I may have more items and this would make it more convenient for me. Ok I understand it's hot here in Texas but I was just there with my mask on and most there had them on to but there were 2 employees that were running around the garden center without any face covering on, and not even visible on their person! I find it inexcusable and disrespectful to the public. I left without making any purchase and I won't go back. I have gone to Lowe's a few times for the garden center and I've learned that NO EMPLOYEE is required to wear a face mask if they work outside in the garden center. I was shocked to see so many employees helping customers and even greeting customers at the entrance with NO MASK. I had to ask multiple times for the employee helping me to put his mask on and he put it on with attitude and complained. I called the manager to let her know that the employees weren't wearing masks in the garden center and she said that it was their nation-wide policy. This location is convenient. The store is nicely organized, well stocked and the staff are pleasant. We have not had a good experience with services outside of the store. Last year we had delivery issues. Finally got those resolved thanks to the manager. Last weekend, We looked at carpet and scheduled a measure tech for today between 1-6:00 pm. I ended up at this store since it was listed online as having the elusive high gloss sealer for my Mexican Saltillo Tile Floors. I was also looking at some hard wood flooring to replace some of the tiles in my hall-way. I've been here before, can't remember when, but its been a few months. So I go to the flooring section and it looks like a ghost town - no sign of any Lowe's employee. There are 2 other customers pacing the section - a man and woman. I ask the lady if she has been helped and she said no, the guy also said he's been waiting for help and they both looked agitated. I see a Lowe's employee - a young lady - walking towards the flooring section and I ask her if she can page for someone to come help us or if she can help answer some of the questions I have. She says there is only one guy working the section and can't help. Her snobby reply and attitude didn't go down well with me. I mean, you got customers who are about to drop some serious money on flooring materials and you don't even aknowledge them or try to page the manager to get some help! WTH! So, I tell her that it is unfortunate that she can't assist us or get someone to help us and told her she just lost $10K in flooring materials and labor to a competitor and walked off with the other guy waiting for help. She quipped back "Good luck"..with an attitude. I went to the customer service desk, checked out the couple of items I bought and briefed the floor manager that he has some pissed off customers and a rude employee near the flooring section and he needs to get someone to help. I left the building, but made sure I called the store manager (Bob) and brief him on the situation. Bob was nice and promised to get the situation resolved. .Had it not been for him assuring me, I probably would have given this review 1 star. This is a very nice Lowes. It's always very clean and laid out very well. The employees are always very friendly. The only negative is it always seems to be a game of "find someone who works here." When you need them you never can find them, then all of a sudden they come out of no where by surprise like they were playing hide and seek. That aside, this is a place I will continue to frequent. I found the web site to be hard to navigate - finally got to place my order and a popup window comes requiring me to approve their ability to take photos of the installation without limitation and for use in "perpetuity". Must approve to place order....I logged out, then knowing I needed the dw I placed the order. Yet no confirmation...does not show in my orders YET when I checked on my AMEX I have been charged 3 times for the dw at +$1800 each plus (8) $1 charges. Ok. That's two strikes for this Lowe's. 1) Went 2 weeks back. They just installed self check out, and only had one cashier. We all were stuck on need assistance. I had to yell at two guys joking around by the self checkout to get someone to help. 2) just left after getting $90 worth of 24x24 pavers. Their cart guy asked if he could have my flat bed when I was done and didn't even help. Those pavers are 80lbs a piece... Yesterday, between 11am and 12pm as I exited Lowe's main doorway I was aggressively approached by two men in an older model, red truck. The truck was rapidly driven toward me with the passenger window down. The truck slowed and the man leaned out as if he intended to say something to me but at the last minute waved his arm at the driver indicating that he was to keep driving. They accelerated toward the portico entrance, and slowly circled the parking lot. I quickly got into my car locked the doors and left. When it comes to home improvements, there are only two places that come to mind for most people, and Lowe's is one of them. I've been coming to Lowe's for years now whenever I've worked on a home project. I have to admit, it usually is the 2nd place that I try when I'm looking for something. I do think it has a nice garden selection and lighting/ceiling fan department. This location is nice and is in a good location. In regards to the knowledge of employees, I think they are still 2nd in that department as well. During a recent visit, it was difficult to find someone who could answer my question because they seemed to be short handed or someone called in sick. I don't know. Apathetic employees if you can find one who will actually help. I typically go to Home Depot, but found myself in the area near this Lowe's and needed some shelving. I had not been in this location in nearly a year, and my memories of previous trips there were of normal transactions and interactions with the employees, alas, not so today. 1st thing I encountered was the (lack of) employees working in the store. Keep in mind this is 3:00 in the afternoon on a weekday - not lunchtime, not opening or closing time, but the middle of the day. After walking up and down a dozen or so aisles I finally found someone who worked there and wasn't on their phone. I asked where the shelving was, they pointed me in the right direction, with it being on one of three possible aisles as they weren't exactly sure. Close enough. Found the shelves! There was a nice pre-cut ladder shelf but the box did not have dimensions of the individual shelves, and I needed to know the width of the widest shelf. Another walk around the area to find an employee, and aha - found a group of three sitting on a counter-top chatting. Asked them if I could borrow a tape measure to take a measurement, informed that they did not carry tape measures. Inquired as to where I might find tape measures in the store to briefly borrow, at which point one of the employees stood up and walked with me over to the box containing the ladder shelf, were he proceeded to argue with me for no short period of time that the measurements of the shelves were posted on the box. It took me several iterations of pointing out that the measurements were of the entire unit, not the individual shelves before he (finally) pointed me in the direction of the tape measures. The whole time this is going on I'm having an internal monologue of "There must be a hidden camera somewhere. No one could be this clueless and rude!" Had this been Home Depot I would put money down that someone would have A: Asked if I needed assistance after walking up and down the aisles, B: Either had a tape measure on them or would have offered to get one to help with, and C: Would have had enough common sense and intelligence to not argue over the dimensions when they weren't listed. I went to Lowe's today to see if they had any scrap wood as I needed a thin piece of about 6 inches long by 1/4 inch. Certainly not something you'd pay to buy a much larger piece for something so small. I walked over to the cutting area to see if they had any scrap and the attendant said they throw it all away as their store manager said they don't make any money on it. I asked him if he ever heard the concept of providing value and service to your customers? Doesn't make you want to shop their with that mindset. read more

I walked into Lowe's looking for pipe cleaners and a bolt for a toilet seat cover. Total waste of time. I asked for help and was told just to use bleach to clean my bathroom pipes. (Never did find anything to secure the toilet seat). I eventually set down what few items I did select next to the checkout line (once I saw it wasn't moving) and walked out, empty-handed. They had one cashier for 10+ customers waiting in line. I started to say something at the customer service desk on my way out, but there wasn't anyone there. I came home and signed into Amazon.com and found exactly what I wanted! I won't make the mistake of going to Lowe's again. read more

The appliance department needs some attention. I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher for my mother. The dishwasher is still sitting in her dining room as the install was never completed. I called to complain, but apparently the only two people who can help me at the store are David and Ashley? What happens if you never hear back from these two people? What now? I guess I'm SOL? I had the worst experience at Lowe's I have ever had in my life this past week. I purchesed a fridge online from this store and the systm transfered the purchase to the richardson location without my knowledge. After this happened the Richardson store called and informed me that the order was not able to be fofilled and would be canceled and told me to reorder the fridge from Plano. I called the 1800 number and reordered the fridge with a live person who mentioned that it would not get transfered again and not to worry I would recieve the fridge on the 16th via home delivery. I then never recieved a call regarding the delivery again so I called on my lunch break to the 1800 nmber and they informed me that it had again been transfered and canceled. Que the very upset customer! After work on the 16th I personally went into the store and spoke with the manager Frank who helped reorder the fridge in the store and then said he would be able to do an emergency delivery on Sunday the 17th. As we were checking out at the customer service desk he then says the truck is full and he can not get me the fridge until monday WOW moment. I agreed to give them another chance and scheduled the evening truck because I was going to be at work all day Monday and would not be home until after 4PM. On Sunday evening the 17th I receive an automated call that the fridge would be delivered in the morning WOW now I am pissed beyond messure. I agian call the 1800 number and am assured that everything is fine it will be on the truck and delivered after 4PM and not to worry. It is now Monday the 18th and at 12:30PM I get a VM that says they were at my house at 8:30AM to deliver the fridge WOW piss poor lowe's. I had to leave work early and go to the house to get the fridge delivered finally. I did complain to managment and got a rebate however I am still sorly disapointed in this experience. The clerk who checked me out was very friendly and made sure my snow globe was wrapped safely. I also had another employee ask if I needed help.
