WORST Store manager we have ever felt with. Christine was her name, she was the manager on duty at the time when we needed assistance. We are doing a large flooring job, and the VERY nice gentleman in flooring Chis needed further assistance to help us get the job done. He asked his manger in front of us for help to get this project moving. She right in front of us, would not give us the time of day him or us. She was very snarky and passive aggressive, and wouldn't even look at us or help us. We were so appalled by how she treated us. We wanted to buy a Bosch dishwasher. Each one we went to on the display floor--the sign was either incorrect, or the item was unavailable. Why display them if they are unavailable? So, I asked a worker in that department why don't they update the signs. He said, "we do but the managers take them down." Huh? If I could leave negative stars I wouldn't hesitate to do so! I have been trying to get my new stove, a 48 inch stove, in place for nearly a month. It was delivered to my garage, because the delivery guys didn't have enough people to move it into my home. Although, Lowe's appliance/delivery people knew that this was a heavy stove, as well as, I had shared there were stairs at the entry of our home and inside our home. I tried for three plus weeks to get Lowe's to send enough men to handle this delivery into my home while my stove sat in the garage. I had to call customer care five times and still no return call. Finally, after hours of multiple calls to the Cotati store and Lowe's customer care with promises of return calls, I called a random extension in the Cotati store and reached a cashier, whom was excellent. She took care of setting up the deliver, which stated four men. YET, when Lowe's came out today, again, they only had two men to get a 300+ pound stove up seven entry steps and two more steps inside my home. I can't believe their incompetence in, again, sending only 2 men to do a 4 man job, and the pure lack of customer service with no return phone calls for over three plus weeks from the appliance/delivery departments. PLUS, Lowe's had this stove in its' local warehouse. I had also ordered a washer and dryer at the same time, but it had to come from some other area. The stove was suppose to be delivered in January since it was in the local warehouse with a different delivery date for the washer/dryer. NOPE! These were all delivered together in March, then sat in my garage for nearly another month!!!!!!!!! I am livid with Lowe's!!!!! DON'T EVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWE'S in COTATI, CA! Our reaction was so so, as we couldn't find an employee in Appliances. So we went back online and ordered a new microwave with installation and haul-away service. This is where things got a whole lot better. We were contacted the same day to confirm the purchase and the installation. A day later Lowe's contractor set up an appointment. At 12:10 we got a call saying that they are behind; they were on stop 3 and we were number 6 (duh. You are behind) They probably only called because we started calling about our delivery. To this day, I've never really run into a Lowe's Home Improvement store that is helpful sadly. If you are a DIY'er and know what to get, then its no problem, but if you have questions, good luck getting help. Service has gone way down hill in the past years, whether Home Depot or Lowe's sadly. I used to ask for help and they had no issues working with me to get what I needed, now it seems like a hassle for them to assist with the question. Thankfully we have YouTube nowadays! Either way, wait for the holiday deals for Lowe's, best time to grab what you need unless you need an urgent purchase, but Home Depot and Lowes are very similar price point. We started a project with Lowe's and needed a very large amount of fencing to be installed at our residence. Lowes sent out someone to give us a quote on what it might cost. We were surprised at the cost of the fence and we asked them if that included the military discount because Lowe's offers a 10% off for military families. The guy that came out to give us the quote said that he would reach out to Larry at quality fencing to see what they could do about the price and so they agreed to give us the same price. Tom, the guy from Lowe's who came out to give us the quote was our point person on the job. Through him, we paid for the entire project which was about $3,500 in order to secure a date for our work. The reason we were willing to do this was because we just purchased a place right off of a main thoroughfare, and we have a service animal and we didn't want him to have any safety issues with our unfenced yard. The week that the work was supposed to start, I suddenly could not get a hold of Tom and I had no way to contact Larry who would be doing the work. I frantically started calling and texting Tom but to nothing in response. I knew from past projects that at some point the material should be delivered and it was coming up on the Friday of our installation and still nothing. At that point I started calling Lowe's and we got some really interesting feedback from them. The lady I spoke with in the installation department told me that Larry, being a contractor, would not answer the calls that she makes to him because it shows up as a Lowe's number. She also told me that when she does call him and leave a message, he does not respond to her calls. Because of this, she said she needed to call him from a supervisor's number or somehow restrict our number so that she could actually get through to him. I thought this was very unprofessional. It literally took us a week of escalating to supervisors, assistant managers, and managers to finally get to somebody who said that they would try to figure it out. The day that we paid for, for the installation of our fence came and went. They did not show up, call us, reschedule, anything. At this point we're out $3,500 and we have no materials and no fence and we've waited almost a month for this installation project. The next week, I finally get a hold of Tom who apparently was on vacation and did not have anybody filling in for him that could contact Larry to figure out what the deal was. He got the materials delivered to our house but we still didn't have a date rescheduled for our fencing project. Finally Larry reached out via text to say that he and his team were going to be arriving the next week. Throughout the project working with Larry, he was rude, unprofessional, pushy, and inflexible. We felt that the way that he interacted with us was unreasonable given how much money we were paying him for a very small job. His team that finally came to install our fence were loud, smoking on our property, trampled and killed a bunch of our landscaping plants and punctured multiple places in our irrigation line resulting in a lot of money we ended up having to shell out to fix all of these problems. One of the managers we spoke with about all of these issues said that they would refund us some of our cost due to the problems we faced with this project but we still have not received that money. I have no idea how long it's going to take for them to adjust this for us, but at this point I have very low expectations on professionalism from Lowe's and the people they choose to business with like Larry. The fence itself is fine, however the work that was done and the way they went about the work wasn't professional and I would go out of my way to not do business with them in the future. I know that business during covid and fires and everything have made things difficult but that doesn't mean that people can be unprofessional like this blowing past paid IN FULL projects and contracts already established. We tried our best to communicate our concerns preemptively to no avail. We communicated up the ladder as far as we could and we still did not find resolution. I will probably go back to Lowe's to purchase items for my home improvement needs, but I will not be contracting with them again in the future for any installations and I am glad that I do not have to do business with Larry again or his team. read more

I wish I had brought a flare gun so I could signal for help. Employees are really hard to find and you're pretty much on your own over there. I needed a plumbing adapter and could not find anything. I started scouring the store for anyone who could help me, venturing further and further away from plumbing. Finally I realized, go to the cash registers, maybe the only employees they have are the ones who take your money. Success, but not really, got someone to page for help in plumbing department. I made the long journey back to the plumbing department and managed to find someone. He told me which aisle was my best bet and said he'd meet me there. I fiddled around with the inventory and figured out I needed a 1" to 3/4" adapter. But I could not find it. The employee I managed to find earlier had stood me up. I feel so rejected. Perhaps I should have gone to the lumber department and gathered wood. If I spell the word HELP in lumber and lit it on fire maybe someone would have come. read more

Sad to say, but Lowe's has gone downhill. It's a Monday, 4pm, and there's very few people in there. I asked for help in Hardware. The cashier, Anna, who was pleasant at first, puts a request over the PA for help for me. I go and wait there for 5 minutes. And yes, I used my phone's stopwatch to keep count. I go back to the counter, show her the phone and the people waiting there starting complaining I was invading their personal space. Keep in mind I had my mask on. Then the ladies call me a "Karen" and yell at me as I left. If asking for help when there's few customers there makes me a Karen, so be it. But you have just lost a long time customer. Purchased allen + roth bathroom vanities from Lowes a couple of years ago. One hinge broke. At my local store I could not find a replacement in the Hinge aisle and was sent to the store cabinet section. The cabinets on display had the exact hinges I was looking for. Lowes employee did not know why they did not carry replacements and referred me to allen + roth. Allen + roth website did not show hinges or any cabinet parts but it did have a link to "Customer Service". I emailed them regarding my need and received a response within a couple of hours. I had two purchases to have installed; a new sliding glass patio door (replacement) and a picture window to replace an existing window. I was reluctant to pay for everything up front, but that is their requirement so I went ahead. The patio door replacement was on time and installers they sent did an excellent job. On the other hand, I am still waiting for the window as of Sept 10, and these were ordered in May. I was told a month ago that Cotati received a defective window to install and that they were sending it back for a replacement. Still...nothing. I ordered a washer and dryer to be delivered and it was a complete fail. I put clear instructions in the delivery notes and they were ignored. The driver called me and started yelling at me in Spanish and refused to deliver the washer and dryer. Why is it that Home Depot and large propane trucks manage to deliver to my house but Lowe's can't deliver a washer and dryer? Why do they ask for delivery notes and then ignore them? Been working on 2 back to back home renovations non stop since summer of last year. Let's start with it's impossible To get someone on the phone in either appliances or kitchen cabinets. One kid even made fake static noise and hung up to avoid looking for product availability. Last year we had an issue where I purchased a clearance stove but was unable to take it as I was driving a car, then got evacuated due to fires same day. I was told it wasn't a problem. I got a call the next day saying someone sold the stove and they would refund me. Manager didn't care, it took a call to corporate and several trips driving from Windsor to Cotati to find another clearance to get a price match. This year we are on 2nd house kitchen renovation. Again zero response from phone calls, which forces us to drive 40 miles round trip for questions and product availability. Btw online says 21 in stock - no one can find one. Custom kitchen: been calling for 2 days and unable to talk to someone.. No one is in kitchen cabinets we wait 20+ mins finally carol shows up. We ask questions about quartz countertops at first she's helpful but then quickly can't give us correct pricing for "edges, cuts etc" but wants a $1200 deposit for them to measure. I try to ask her opinion about the kraftmaid cabinets we had just ordered that arrived damage she gets short and rude and says she is too busy (no one is there) and is going to lunch in 2 mins. You just came back from lunch. it's 2:15? When I ask her again she flat out says she doesn't have time for this in a snotty tone and walks away. Your Bad attitude cost you $5k countertop sale. Went to Lowe's to pick up four sheets of plywood as earlier this day I was at Home Depot and received no help. I had to ask for assistance but was promptly met by a young man named Damien. I brought up four sheets of plywood for him to cut. He cheerfully cut the plywood into the sizes I wanted. The prices of the plywood was the same as at Home Depot but they were nice and flat pieces and the ones I priced at Home Depot we're all warped. They weren't bad and I'm sure laying them flat would have straighten them out but I wanted to work on them today. I also saw Damien help out an older lady with some Redwood post and actually loaded them into her car for her. I have always liked the customer service at Lowe's. read more

The worst service EVER. ISst we called to try to get someone on the phone to make sure they had this item in before we drove a half an hour. While driving no one picked up the entire way- AND after 20 min the called dropped me. Then we get there item is not in. I told a girl that did they know their phone lines aren't working and she says yeah we get lots of complaints. And then she turned to walk away for me. Item we ordered way back in May for summer time was suppose to arrive in May fast forward to July I had to call corporate to see where in the world our item was they apologized for delay and gave me option to have it delivered to my house instead of store pick up. I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's online back on January 6 and scheduled installation for today, January 29. I placed the charge on my credit card and waited for confirmation. Over the course of a few weeks, five fraudulent charges to Lowe's appeared on my credit card statement; Lowes zeroed out all the charges as fraudulent, at least according to American Express when I called. I received confirmation last night that installers will be arriving between 9:45 AM and 1:45 PM. I set my alarm for 9 AM so that I would have time to greet the installers at the door. I received a text message and voicemail at 8:57 that they were on their way and will be arriving within 20 minutes.. At 10 AM, I called to get a status update. Evidently the installers never arrived, but instead evidently told dispatch I wasn't home when in fact I was downstairs waiting. I just left a message for Jeff at Asiens Aplliance. Wish me luck; I have been without a dishwasher for over a month now. read more

Then an alarm went off and she says out loud "That's what you get when you won't let me scan everything!" EPIC FAIL today at Lowes!! I bought an expensive toilet Feb 1st. My very experienced plumber installed it. After paying him 4 times over 2 months to come back and see where it was leaking, I finally gave up and bought a different brand from my local Home Depot. Since I live 90 miles away, I first called the Lowe's to make sure they would take it back. I explained the entire situation to the customer service girl on the phone, who then went to confirm with management. After being on hold forever, she came back on and said that her manager said I could return it, even if I only had my credit card receipt. Nothing on their website indicated that toilets weren't returnable, and it even said they have a way to look up the receipt if you have lost yours. This morning, 3/28/23 at 7:30am, after driving 90 miles, I brought it in to Lowes. The customer service girl said I couldn't return a previously installed toilet. I explained that I had just called to verify that I could 2 days prior and then asked to speak to a manager. I don't know where Lowes finds their help but the "manager" finally came out looking as if he just rolled out of bed... or was stoned, or both. Again I explained the ENTIRE SAGA in detail, including the fact that I wouldn't have driven it all that way if I hadn't been told I could return it. He said I would need to call the American Standard to get an authorization to return it. I called American Standard right there in Lowe's lobby and put it on speaker for all to hear. The customer service rep from the manufacturer said that LOWES needed to call them and that they should know this is the procedure. I asked for the manager to speak to this rep on the phone..... AND HE REFUSED! He then sent the counter girl out to tell me that they could give me store credit. Since I had already sunk over $800 into this piece of junk, I demanded a refund. They finally relented and gave me a credit back to my Visa card, which the girl at the counter rudely slammed down in front of me. But the final insult was that "we want you to know that we will only do this once for you." AS IF this were my fault! AS IF I would ever come back to Lowes to buy anything from them. There were a million ways Lowes could have handled this better... starting by not telling me they would take it back, calling American Standard themselves, hiring and training their people to be courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. If I could give minus stars I would. I bought and had a gas range delivered from Lowe's Vallejo, and at first the delivery guy would not install the anti-tip device, which is included with delivery, I had to insist he do it. Then right after they left, I noticed that a tile was nearly broken off the counter top and the feet of the range were not level. I have called nearly every business day, 11 times since then, been promised help and that someone would call me back to resolve this. Still nothing. I'm now probably going to have it fixed by someone else and take it up with my credit card company. They are either completely incompetent or purposely give you the run around. I will never buy anything from them again. They sent some delvery guys out today to fix the feet of the range, and they said they can't be fixed, someone else will have to come out with new feet to see if it can be fixed that way, or I need to get a new range delivered, or get a discount on this. Went to Lowe's yesterday to buy a new washer & dryer. First it took 20 mins to get anyone to help. That's completely unacceptable as the store was quite empty of customers. So we got a quote, went home to see if we could get the appliances sooner else where. I tried calling back the guy who helped us at the store. Their phone system sucks. They NEVER EVER EVER EVER pick up the phone.......EVER. I tried for hours to talk with someone. Then I got online to get help. Again several hours dealing with that system. Finally got customer service put in the order. Gave the guy my LOWES card, attempted to enter the card number no less than 4 TIMES and their system wouldn't work. I'm so unbelievably frustrated at this point. Tried calling them again this morning without success. So I call another appliance store in the Bay Area. It took approximately ONE 15 minute call to order a washer & dryer. They will be delivered on Tuesday. I will NEVER step foot in Lowe's ever again. I don't blame their low level workers for the complete cluster that is their system. That blame sits squarely on management and corporate. They lost a $2000 sale due to their lack of consideration and care of a customer that spent over $5000 worth of merchandise over the last year. Bye Lowe's I won't be missing you at all. read more
