Wow. I am floored at just how bad my experience was today. I went to pick up items I had ordered (all delayed, but got an email that some of them had arrived), and Alex at the pickup window keyed in my order number and went to pick my items up. I had offered to read the long number to him but he said he could just key it in while looking at it. I told him the order contained closet doors and asked if we needed to pull up somewhere specific. He told me to park right in front of the main entrance and he would bring it to us. After 5-10 minutes of dirty looks from everyone entering the store I went in to see where Alex was. Ariana was helpful and said it shouldn't be long. At the 20 min mark I went back in and Ariana was looking up my order, when Alex shows up with a BBQ and a blank stare. At this point I'm realizing he has no clue what is going on. He tells us the order is confusing and Fernando is dealing with it now. At 35 min or so Fernando comes back and says my entire order is here but they were confused because I had paid for delivery (I didn't) and it was being delivered Monday. This made no sense based on the emails I had gotten or the order I place. I then spoke with manager Korbin who was also confused until Ariana looked up my order with my phone number and he figured out Alex put in the wrong order number. After he said he didn't need my help reading it to him. Great. Korbin assures me now that we have wasted 50 minutes, that our partial order which was supposed to be picked up will be out in 5 min. Shockingly, he was wrong. At 10 min I was waiting in line to call it all off, when Fernando showed up with our partial order. This was a complete fiasco! I get that you need employees, but you are only as good as your worst employee, and we got a good dose of that today. I will not be ordering from Lowe's again - they promised our order would be on time and it was delayed by 2-3 weeks, then wasting an HOUR for a simple pick up is just unacceptable. We were returning one Bathroom exhaust fan which was not opened since we had not purchased the right one. Our complaint is that Lowe's still is selling the product we were returning but they have a 90 day policy, so would not take it back. We purchased 3 others which were better quality from Lowe's which were installed by an electrician. We will not purchase from Lowe's again. In my opinion, if they want good business 'Customer service ' should be primary. In addition they should place a sign at their counters so customers are aware of their 90 day return policy. They messed up installation and when rescheduling they cancelled an hour before they were supposed to arrive today. Now I have a leaky toilet which cost $600 with installation and will have to wait until next week just to have the Angi rescheduled installer come and just look at it and then they have to come back with the right item to install. THE SHOWER DOOR SAGA CONTINUES... 12/22- Called Customer service again since Lowes in Cotati did NOT called me to schedule pick up. I called Lowes in Cotati and Karen helped me schedule a pick up for today 12/24 (between 1-5pm). Also, Karen helped me type an email to her MANAGER to refund me the shipping charge of $80 for the WRONG SHOWER DOOR they sent me. I still have not heard a reply from the manager.... 12/24- She messed up big time as I received a text message saying that the driver is arriving in my OLD HOUSE WHICH I HAVENT LIVED IN FOR OVER 2.5 YEARS!!!!!! Even if this address is still on my Lowes profile, you should ALWAYS schedule the pick up at the delivery address and not my OLD physical address. On Sunday 27Oct2024, I was in the Gardening Center where an employee was taking inventory. He asked me if I needed help, then helped me locate white marble chips for my landscaping project. He found me a cart, and then asked me how many I was buying and I said ten bags. He then insisted on using a forklift to drive the pallet out to the parking lot and loading them into my car. Fraud and empty promises. My GC ordered drywall for delivery. The store took order and then called the night before saying only half would be delivered. I went into store to ask what they will do to make it right. Can they can transfer from another location? Nope. Can the other locations deliver to my project? Nope. But then I called Vallejo and the manager on duty was apologetic and promised to deliver in 2 business days. Well that was a lie too. They didn't even call to tell me my delivery wasn't arriving today. I sat on hold for 1 hour before speaking to a human. So now I still don't have all the drywall and it's 4 days after original delivery date. Store manager promised to get it to me tomorrow. Ha! Like I'm trusting that. So I rented a trailer and had my GC spend his afternoon doing the pickup. Costing me hundreds. The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I was looking for a microwave and nobody was available to help, then a older man started to help and just abandoned me. I purchased a microwave and when they installed it, they jammed the charcoal filter in and I say "jammed it in" because it didn't fit as it was the wrong filter. I got a "RESET FILTER" light come on, so I removed the filter and it seemed oddly placed inside its compartment. I ordered a replacement and couldn't fit it in. I called Lowes and was told I had a HOUR's wait, called back later and Customer Service closes at 4p.m. I called GE, the woman worked for about 30 minutes and I started getting frustrated and she kept saying "it just slips in" and asked me if there was someone to help me. I kept trying to get a manual (that hadn't been given to me EVER) and couldn't find it online, at GE and couldn't reach Lowes. Then (EUREKA!!) I thought maybe the reason the filter seemed oddly placed inside and I couldn't get the new one in was that it was the WRONG FILTER. SO, LOWES' INSTALLATION GUYS WERE LAZY (I'LL LEAVE OUT FURTHER ADJECTIVES) WORKERS. They knew it didn't fit. Oh, and Lowes told me that they were going to charge me $149.00 to come out and install the filter (I'm still under the manufacturers warranty) (and this was BEFORE I realized they must have given me the wrong filter upon installation) because THEY HADN'T FIGURED IT OUT OR EVEN QUESTIONED IF I HAD THE CORRECT FILTER. Asked another employee headed to back room to also get me some assistance in plumbing still no one came. I took my card to appliances where three employees were chatting. I gave them my cart so they could put away items and told them my complaint. Instead of addressing it or trying to help me one said I love you in a patronizing voice. If I could leave negative stars I wouldn't hesitate to do so! I have been trying to get my new stove, a 48 inch stove, in place for nearly a month. It was delivered to my garage, because the delivery guys didn't have enough people to move it into my home. Although, Lowe's appliance/delivery people knew that this was a heavy stove, as well as, I had shared there were stairs at the entry of our home and inside our home. I tried for three plus weeks to get Lowe's to send enough men to handle this delivery into my home while my stove sat in the garage. I had to call customer care five times and still no return call. Finally, after hours of multiple calls to the Cotati store and Lowe's customer care with promises of return calls, I called a random extension in the Cotati store and reached a cashier, whom was excellent. She took care of setting up the deliver, which stated four men. YET, when Lowe's came out today, again, they only had two men to get a 300+ pound stove up seven entry steps and two more steps inside my home. I can't believe their incompetence in, again, sending only 2 men to do a 4 man job, and the pure lack of customer service with no return phone calls for over three plus weeks from the appliance/delivery departments. PLUS, Lowe's had this stove in its' local warehouse. I had also ordered a washer and dryer at the same time, but it had to come from some other area. The stove was suppose to be delivered in January since it was in the local warehouse with a different delivery date for the washer/dryer. NOPE! These were all delivered together in March, then sat in my garage for nearly another month!!!!!!!!! I am livid with Lowe's!!!!! DON'T EVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWE'S in COTATI, CA! WORST Store manager we have ever felt with. Christine was her name, she was the manager on duty at the time when we needed assistance. We are doing a large flooring job, and the VERY nice gentleman in flooring Chis needed further assistance to help us get the job done. He asked his manger in front of us for help to get this project moving. She right in front of us, would not give us the time of day him or us. She was very snarky and passive aggressive, and wouldn't even look at us or help us. We were so appalled by how she treated us. To this day, I've never really run into a Lowe's Home Improvement store that is helpful sadly. If you are a DIY'er and know what to get, then its no problem, but if you have questions, good luck getting help. Service has gone way down hill in the past years, whether Home Depot or Lowe's sadly. I used to ask for help and they had no issues working with me to get what I needed, now it seems like a hassle for them to assist with the question. Thankfully we have YouTube nowadays! Either way, wait for the holiday deals for Lowe's, best time to grab what you need unless you need an urgent purchase, but Home Depot and Lowes are very similar price point. We started a project with Lowe's and needed a very large amount of fencing to be installed at our residence. Lowes sent out someone to give us a quote on what it might cost. We were surprised at the cost of the fence and we asked them if that included the military discount because Lowe's offers a 10% off for military families. The guy that came out to give us the quote said that he would reach out to Larry at quality fencing to see what they could do about the price and so they agreed to give us the same price. Tom, the guy from Lowe's who came out to give us the quote was our point person on the job. Through him, we paid for the entire project which was about $3,500 in order to secure a date for our work. The reason we were willing to do this was because we just purchased a place right off of a main thoroughfare, and we have a service animal and we didn't want him to have any safety issues with our unfenced yard. The week that the work was supposed to start, I suddenly could not get a hold of Tom and I had no way to contact Larry who would be doing the work. I frantically started calling and texting Tom but to nothing in response. I knew from past projects that at some point the material should be delivered and it was coming up on the Friday of our installation and still nothing. At that point I started calling Lowe's and we got some really interesting feedback from them. The lady I spoke with in the installation department told me that Larry, being a contractor, would not answer the calls that she makes to him because it shows up as a Lowe's number. She also told me that when she does call him and leave a message, he does not respond to her calls. Because of this, she said she needed to call him from a supervisor's number or somehow restrict our number so that she could actually get through to him. I thought this was very unprofessional. It literally took us a week of escalating to supervisors, assistant managers, and managers to finally get to somebody who said that they would try to figure it out. The day that we paid for, for the installation of our fence came and went. They did not show up, call us, reschedule, anything. At this point we're out $3,500 and we have no materials and no fence and we've waited almost a month for this installation project. The next week, I finally get a hold of Tom who apparently was on vacation and did not have anybody filling in for him that could contact Larry to figure out what the deal was. He got the materials delivered to our house but we still didn't have a date rescheduled for our fencing project. Finally Larry reached out via text to say that he and his team were going to be arriving the next week. Throughout the project working with Larry, he was rude, unprofessional, pushy, and inflexible. We felt that the way that he interacted with us was unreasonable given how much money we were paying him for a very small job. His team that finally came to install our fence were loud, smoking on our property, trampled and killed a bunch of our landscaping plants and punctured multiple places in our irrigation line resulting in a lot of money we ended up having to shell out to fix all of these problems. One of the managers we spoke with about all of these issues said that they would refund us some of our cost due to the problems we faced with this project but we still have not received that money. I have no idea how long it's going to take for them to adjust this for us, but at this point I have very low expectations on professionalism from Lowe's and the people they choose to business with like Larry. The fence itself is fine, however the work that was done and the way they went about the work wasn't professional and I would go out of my way to not do business with them in the future. I know that business during covid and fires and everything have made things difficult but that doesn't mean that people can be unprofessional like this blowing past paid IN FULL projects and contracts already established. We tried our best to communicate our concerns preemptively to no avail. We communicated up the ladder as far as we could and we still did not find resolution. I will probably go back to Lowe's to purchase items for my home improvement needs, but I will not be contracting with them again in the future for any installations and I am glad that I do not have to do business with Larry again or his team. read more

Our reaction was so so, as we couldn't find an employee in Appliances. So we went back online and ordered a new microwave with installation and haul-away service. I wish I had brought a flare gun so I could signal for help. Employees are really hard to find and you're pretty much on your own over there. I needed a plumbing adapter and could not find anything. I started scouring the store for anyone who could help me, venturing further and further away from plumbing. Finally I realized, go to the cash registers, maybe the only employees they have are the ones who take your money. Success, but not really, got someone to page for help in plumbing department. I made the long journey back to the plumbing department and managed to find someone. He told me which aisle was my best bet and said he'd meet me there. I fiddled around with the inventory and figured out I needed a 1" to 3/4" adapter. But I could not find it. The employee I managed to find earlier had stood me up. I feel so rejected. Been working on 2 back to back home renovations non stop since summer of last year. Let's start with it's impossible To get someone on the phone in either appliances or kitchen cabinets. One kid even made fake static noise and hung up to avoid looking for product availability. Last year we had an issue where I purchased a clearance stove but was unable to take it as I was driving a car, then got evacuated due to fires same day. I was told it wasn't a problem. I got a call the next day saying someone sold the stove and they would refund me. Manager didn't care, it took a call to corporate and several trips driving from Windsor to Cotati to find another clearance to get a price match. This year we are on 2nd house kitchen renovation. Again zero response from phone calls, which forces us to drive 40 miles round trip for questions and product availability. Btw online says 21 in stock - no one can find one. Custom kitchen: been calling for 2 days and unable to talk to someone.. No one is in kitchen cabinets we wait 20+ mins finally carol shows up. We ask questions about quartz countertops at first she's helpful but then quickly can't give us correct pricing for "edges, cuts etc" but wants a $1200 deposit for them to measure. I try to ask her opinion about the kraftmaid cabinets we had just ordered that arrived damage she gets short and rude and says she is too busy (no one is there) and is going to lunch in 2 mins. The prices of the plywood was the same as at Home Depot but they were nice and flat pieces and the ones I priced at Home Depot we're all warped. They weren't bad and I'm sure laying them flat would have straighten them out but I wanted to work on them today. At my local store I could not find a replacement in the Hinge aisle and was sent to the store cabinet section. The cabinets on display had the exact hinges I was looking for. Lowes employee did not know why they did not carry replacements and referred me to allen + roth. Allen + roth website did not show hinges or any cabinet parts but it did have a link to "Customer Service". I emailed them regarding my need and received a response within a couple of hours. The driver called me and started yelling at me in Spanish and refused to deliver the washer and dryer. They said I will have to wait 90 days. Ummm NO! So I called my credit card to to get my money back. And Lowes lied and changed the documents of what I ordered so now I am out the delivery fee. Over $100. Even though I showed my original receipt of what I ordered. Please beware they just want money and don't care about there customers. I will never do visit with them again. read more

I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe's online back on January 6 and scheduled installation for today, January 29. I placed the charge on my credit card and waited for confirmation. Over the course of a few weeks, five fraudulent charges to Lowe's appeared on my credit card statement; Lowes zeroed out all the charges as fraudulent, at least according to American Express when I called. I received confirmation last night that installers will be arriving between 9:45 AM and 1:45 PM. I set my alarm for 9 AM so that I would have time to greet the installers at the door. I received a text message and voicemail at 8:57 that they were on their way and will be arriving within 20 minutes.. At 10 AM, I called to get a status update. Evidently the installers never arrived, but instead evidently told dispatch I wasn't home when in fact I was downstairs waiting. I just left a message for Jeff at Asiens Aplliance. Wish me luck; I have been without a dishwasher for over a month now. read more

Worst customer service ever. I got measured for new carpet in our bedrooms. The measurement guy cancelled twice before showing up late. Then 3 weeks later, no one had called me To schedule. Tried to call back many times and literally couldn't get ahold of anyone. I can't believe it's so hard to give someone money! Totally Insane. Total waste of time. read more

Lowes was quality customer service, but no more. Apparently high turn over has lead to incompetent staff. Nice humans, but seemingly no training on computer system. Low number of staff leading to long wait times. Buy elsewhere if you can. read more

Just came into Lowe's to return an two items and purchase a couple more. Returns went exceptionally well. On the other hand their lady at the self checkout needs some help with her customer service skills or she's having a rough day. She was very rude to a gentleman saying "You see this? This is why this register is closed. There's no more money in it!" It was a for stack of applications to apply for a Lowe's card, didn't say anything it being closed. Then an alarm went off and she says out loud "That's what you get when you won't let me scan everything!" Isn't it your job to make sure you scan everything before you let them walk outta the store?!?! Bad service to her, think her name was Judith or Beth, name ended in a 'th' but kudos to Tammy at Customer Service!!!! read more
