I come here almost weekly, my latest project is landscaping, but my whole house is a job. Every time I ask for help I've been taking care of and walked to area I need products in. I need to be better about remembering names. I've also purchased for pick up. Mario brought out my supplies, walked towards my vehicle with a great big friendly smile, we made small talk, he asked if I had any questions or needed any more help. I did not. Great experience. Besides my first horrible experience with Lowe's I know I'm dealing with another one. I pre-ordered blinds and waited two weeks for someone to call me. I even went to the department. You cannot get a hold of anyone there I've spoken to manager several times, I was promised that someone would reach me to schedule. The crazy thing is they were calling a phone number I do not have anymore and I repeatedly told them to take that phone number out of the system after two weeks. I finally received a phone call about scheduling. The schedule was this morning and it was a no-show. I will be canceling my thousand dollar order from Lowe's and find a better company to work with. read more

we had an EXCELLENT experience at Lowe's in Cotati! we are remodeling two bathrooms and it is amazing how organized this store is and how friendly everyone is. We first worked with Drew and he was the "paint guy" and then we worked with Jacob in the tile section. Both couldn't have been nicer! they answered all of our questions and they were very patient. In the past I have had good experiences with Lowes. But this time I couldn't get a dryer delivered. It took three tries. First, they would not drive the truck down my private country lane. The driver was rude and abrupt and said the truck was too big to fit. (But the trash trucks use it every week). So I scheduled a second date and asked for a smaller truck. They showed up with a big truck and left a voicemail that they couldn't deliver. So I had to reschedule again. The third time an experienced driver arrived with a big truck and drove down the lane. The installation went well. It was annoying that the first two drivers were more concerned about their trucks than giving good customer service. Another frustrating experience with Lowes. read more

Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES, spent about 10k on appliances and bathroom fixtures for our new house. Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. Ever since I moved to Lowe's from the "other guys" I wa so happy. This is the only Lowe's I have ever visited, but I have been there dozens of times now, and everytime I go, I get helpful people that help me find what I need while being very reasonably priced. There are so many options that if you can't find something you like, I'm not sure where you will. This Lowe's is 10x the place as their "competitor" in Rohnert Park. There is no question. LOWE'S BLOWS! My daughter in another city bought a new refrigerator, Frigidaire Model LFTR2045VF, from Lowe's in central Los angeles, store number 2714, manager Eric Morales. --*** ***-- The refrigerator has been making funny noise since delivered. Failed in the first few days. Now making an obvious compressor failure noise - I listened to a recording she made. It is a DEFECTIVE machine. It came from Frigidaire DEFECTIVE. It was represented and sold by Lowe's to the Customer as a new refrigerator, but it was DEFECTIVE. Lowe's sold a DEFECTIVE machine. Lowe's had Frigidaire sent out a repairman several times; it hasn't fixed it. In any case, field repair is not an option: the customer bought a NEW machine, not a REBUILT one. The ONLY SOLUTION is to replace it in kind with a new one. This discussion should not be between the Customer and Frigidaire: it should be between Lowe's and Frigidaire! Lowe's is absolutely letting down their Customer. (In fact, Frigidaire should be very interested in taking this unit back to see why it failed.) This Customer is OLDER and DISABLED, and cannot go to the store physically. She has lost several refrigerator loads of food due to the mistaken belief that it had been repaired. She bought a NEW refrigerator but was now at best delivered a REBUILT one. THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! read more

I needed tarps and clamps and wanted to avoid Amazon so I came to Lowes on an early Saturday morning. Two different employees sent me to two incorrect locations, at opposite ends of the store. I finally found the tarps and the selection was pitiful. During my extensive tour of the building I saw trash and debris all over. There was a broom propped against an aisle with a large pile of floor garbage right next to it. Seriously? Someone swept the floor but decided they were done, leaving the job unfinished? I left without a purchase, but I have a good understanding of the store layout. I am sure I could give better directions to products than the two employees who "helped" me. Don't try to call them on the phone. They have an AI assistant that will constantly hang up on you when you tell them you want to speak to a staff member. When I brought this frustrating experience up to a staff member he seemed like he could care less. I will never buy anything from Lowe's again. They have the worst delivery, worst customer service, and worst product warranty. I bought a Samsung dryer with a 3 year warranty. The dryer broke in year two. When I called Lowes, multiple times, they couldn't find the warranty. They said it was a third party, and not there responsibility. After numerous calls, I decided to just buy another Samsung dryer to replace the one I had. I wouldn't have bought another Samsung dryer, but I wanted it to match the washer I obviously already had. When they delivered the new dryer it was broken. When turned on it sounded like steel on steel rubbing together. The delivery driver called his boss, and the boss said "offer him a discount." Are you kidding me! I told them to take it back. Then they were going to deliver another dryer the next day. They gave me a delivery window from noon to 4pm. I waited at home all day for them. At 4pm, after they did not show up, I called to see where the delivery driver was. They apologized that they wouldn't be able to deliver that day. Unbelievable. When they finally delivered another Samsung dryer, a week later that dryer started doing the same thing. I called Lowe's and they said "there's nothing we can do, please call Samsung." That it was outside of 48 hours. I should also add that you never speak to anyone in the US. The call center is obviously outsourced to another country, and you can't understand a thing they say. And, they don't care. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was placed on hold for 90 minutes. PLEASE, save yourself a lot of aggravation and time. Don't buy anything from Lowe's. Such a horrible experience. And, don't buy a Samsung. What junk. read more

We bought a dishwasher and paid for delivery and installation. Were told Lowe's would call with delivery date. A week later I called and they had no record of purchase or installation request. That got sorted out and appliance was installed two weeks later. Installers started up machine and left, satisfied it started. But the "clean" light didn't come up at end of cycle, so we discovered it wasn't heating at the end, and no WiFi connection as advertised, so not yet working. It's a month later and still not resolved. Lots of promises though, which means communication, so there's hope for positive outcome. read more

The absolute worst experience i have ever had with a hardware store. I purchased all new appliances and when i went to pick up they had lost my fridge. Already pre paid with my name on it and they just lost it. Probably sold it to someone else. Then they constantly rescheduled the dishwasher delivery and even though i paid for the install was told they couldn't do it and wouldn't add it on after delivery was already made. Not to mention trying to get a hold of these people on the phone is an absolute nightmare. I waited on hold for 15 minutes only to hear someone pick up the phone and hang up immediately. I like Lowe's extended warranty on appliances but that is the extent of their usefulness, especially the Cotati store. My mom bought a toilet, it was installed which took over an hour and then when they went to put seat on noticed the toilet seat that came with toilet was way too short and didn't extend to end of toilet. Clearly wrong seat. Lowes wouldn't provide a new seat and said the toilet must be uninstalled and returned complete for an exchange but then said they didn't have any more of that toilet. They mixed wrong paint for my mom and didn't match the other can they made at the same time, and then wouldn't issue credit since it was a custom mix paint even though we showed both cans mixed at same time being completely different inside. And most recently we bought a new dishwasher Monday and used one credit card to pay that had a different address than where it was being delivered. They said NO PROBLEM but over 4 phone calls later they won't deliver because addresses don't match and they say it is against their policy. The employees there don't seem to care about their policy being wrong and definitely don't care about my 80 year old parents they are inconveniencing numerous times this year not to mentiont he extra costs from their mishaps. Great help from the Lowe's Cotati Store for my counter tops, but then they passed me off to their installation department and everything went down hill. The installer completely messed up my counter tops and I can't use them or my kitchen. I've tried calling Lowes Installation and Customer solutions repeatedly for help, and have been stuck on the phone for hours -- with each person transferring me to the original voice jail system. After 4 days of phone calls and multiple emails, still no help. Of course, I contacted Lowe's Cotati again, and they just said sorry, it is out of our hands. I will NEVER use Lowe's again for an installation job. My faith in the company is completely gone. I feel very sad, because I used to prefer to go to Lowes. read more

Don't believe it when Lowes says "free delivery" on their website. They contract with another company for installing appliances. Your purchase will be held hostage for more money. Lowes need to be more transparent and clearly reveal the intaller's policies. If there is a fee for extra mileage or whatever, don't have a company we never heard of call us 15 minutes before the delivery window demanding more money. I was assigned to another rep to deliver my order but when that person was delayed, I asked Tiffany about it and she immediately went to find my cooktop order and deliver it to my vehicle. Highest compliments to Tiffany for her exemplary responsiveness, resourcefulness, professionalism, positive approach, and friendly demeanor. You did not honor my flooring rebate. I contacted customer service who routed me to your rebate people. They don't answer their phones so you deal with them via email. After many emails back and forth, they told me the flooring I chose did not qualify. I read your rebate carefully. When I argued that it did, in fact qualify, they told me to provide an in store receipt. I went back to the Lowe's in Cotati and I did. I then resubmitted everything again. When I got nothing but circular answers, I sent everything via certified mail to your mail in rebate people- with a letter explaining the entire hassle with the in line rebate process. It was received. It has been a month and I still haven't heard from them. When I have time I will report this to the better Business Bureau- or at the very least- Yelp. This was not a good business practice. And I believe it was an intentional way to not give customers their rebates. read more

We bought a new kitchen sink and refrigerator a couple of months ago and on Monday we bought a new dishwasher! We got the dishwasher installed this morning, by a fabulous guy named Bruno! He knew his stuff and was very kind! He made the floor level and made sure it was properly hooked up! Very professional and sincerely a nice man! What a nightmare! in late August I ordered a wood stove from Lowe's. It was delivered damage, fortunately noticed by the delivery men. The rescheduled delivery a few weeks later was also damaged. My wood stove installer agreed to pick it up at Lowe's so he could make sure all was fine, it was scheduled for November 20. On November 18 I was notified that delivery was changed until Jan 17. Totally unexeptable, so I cancelled my order. It is now Dec 1 and I still have not received my refund! also difficult to contact by phone and get helpful employees. read more

Every time I come here I get terrible service from young people who seem to either hate their job or don't want to work. The people that do want to work are clearly struggling bc of the short staff and team members who do not want to work. It makes it extremely hard to buy anything bc you either can't find anyone to get you what you need say off the top shelf since customer aren't supposed to use the ladders or you can't find a clerk to check you out. Don't think if you order curb side or pick up that it will save you anytime bc they don't have people staffing that window. You have to wait for the always busy customer service people who are also answering phones. I literally can't stand how companies have cashiers answer phones now even if there's someone waiting in line. The only good about this store is their inventory. They have a great selection in their garden area and their seasonal merchandise, that is what I normally come for but the last two times it was so hard to buy anything there I almost left empty handed. They do have a few senior employees who are awesome and really try hard to do a great job I wish I had their names to give them a shoutout for being a beacon of light in the dark store. read more

I recently purchased a DeWalt Drill and Impact Driver combo set from Lowes because I just really wanted the batteries and this was a less expensive way to get what I needed. The first time I used the Impact Driver, the bit holder came completely disassembled. I took the defective tool with the receipt back to Lowes and the 20-something store manager (really?) told me he couldn't exchange it without going back home and getting the rest of the kit. Again, really? He claimed it was corporate policy. So I went home and emailed DeWalt corporate customer service and guess what? No problem. Send it back they'll send me a new one. Kudos to corporate DeWalt. Hey Lowes, you can learn a lesson here. I think I'll just keep using my Bosch gear I brought from Mead Clarke. read more

Wow. I am floored at just how bad my experience was today. I went to pick up items I had ordered (all delayed, but got an email that some of them had arrived), and Alex at the pickup window keyed in my order number and went to pick my items up. I had offered to read the long number to him but he said he could just key it in while looking at it. I told him the order contained closet doors and asked if we needed to pull up somewhere specific. He told me to park right in front of the main entrance and he would bring it to us. After 5-10 minutes of dirty looks from everyone entering the store I went in to see where Alex was. Ariana was helpful and said it shouldn't be long. At the 20 min mark I went back in and Ariana was looking up my order, when Alex shows up with a BBQ and a blank stare. At this point I'm realizing he has no clue what is going on. He tells us the order is confusing and Fernando is dealing with it now. At 35 min or so Fernando comes back and says my entire order is here but they were confused because I had paid for delivery (I didn't) and it was being delivered Monday. This made no sense based on the emails I had gotten or the order I place. I then spoke with manager Korbin who was also confused until Ariana looked up my order with my phone number and he figured out Alex put in the wrong order number. After he said he didn't need my help reading it to him. Great. Korbin assures me now that we have wasted 50 minutes, that our partial order which was supposed to be picked up will be out in 5 min. Shockingly, he was wrong. At 10 min I was waiting in line to call it all off, when Fernando showed up with our partial order. This was a complete fiasco! I get that you need employees, but you are only as good as your worst employee, and we got a good dose of that today. I will not be ordering from Lowe's again - they promised our order would be on time and it was delayed by 2-3 weeks, then wasting an HOUR for a simple pick up is just unacceptable. Lucky us - we still have to get the other half of our order. Ugh. read more

They messed up installation and when rescheduling they cancelled an hour before they were supposed to arrive today. Now I have a leaky toilet which cost $600 with installation and will have to wait until next week just to have the Angi rescheduled installer come and just look at it and then they have to come back with the right item to install.
