Great experience. Not only a beautiful selection with knowledgeable owners, but they were available via text for all my delivery, planting and care questions. I wish all businesses had this level of professionalism and service. Ended up buying 9 x 15 gallon Hammii bamboo trees. Great privacy barrier for my backyard!

Jungle Bamboo and Palm Nursery is fantastic. If you can, you should go there and walk around, it's really fun and Andy is so helpful! I can't believe all the varieties of bamboo! He hand picked the perfect bamboo types and sizes for my small outdoor space. I needed to create privacy from my neighbors and he came up with a good solution! I also bought galvanized troughs from him to put them in and he had the perfect sizes. He is really easy to work with and his crew worked fast and cleaned up too.

One 25 gallon Giant White Bird of Paradise

I was on the search for some beautiful tropical plants for my yard. We arrived to this place and was immediately awestruck! So many different palms and bamboos! We meet Andy, very knowledgeable guy. He showed us where he kept the Giant White Birds of Paradise, and there they were, standing tall and proud. I didn't think I could ever find one that huge, 25 gallon pots! I bought two and also a 15 gallon pot. Andy delivered them the next day and now they're part of our garden. I will be going back for more, palm trees are next!

Jungle Bamboo rocks! Andy helped us pick out a beautiful triple-queen palm. We love it! He was very courteous and helpfully worked with us when we had to make multiple changes in our delivery schedule. We'd happily buy palm trees from Jungle again.

Service is warm, intelligent, and deeply informed. Plant selection for quality native plants is very good. Their plants are a little pricey --(perhaps 10-15% more than Home Depot for example) but they stand behind their plants/products. Any plants or products that don't work out, just bring your receipt and they will give you a store credit or credit your card. Much of the value Harmony offers is in the quality of the products, the plants, and the intelligent service. Seriously, there is nowhere else I could go to find out how to dig up a fern from acidic soil, and properly care for it while it overwinters before planting it under a nearby redwood tree in the Spring! Harmony Farms also carries extraordinarily unique products, such as Stella Natura's biodynamic planting guide and a wide variety of seasonal, organic specialty plants as well as hard-to-find organic soil amendments. Parking is abundant. They're located just off of the Hwy 101/Penngrove exit heading east. A large sign that says "Barn" offers a fairly quick turn on your R into a wide gravel driveway. Enjoy!

Another reason I really like harmony is they have a lot of unusual varieties that you could only get if you sent for the seed and started them yourself. The best finds are unexpected, joyous surprises which so perfectly describes "E D Wilson Roses,…read moreOddities & Amazing Things" that it might as easily be their tagline. Yes, it'd be a mouthful, and it's probably unnecessary in that they already sport a highly descriptive, apt moniker. Anyhow, this place is just wonderful. I'd even call it aspirational. As I wandered the open-air back of the shop, I suddenly had a revelation for what to do with my personal backyard space. Pebbles and wooden runners made a perfect landscape in which to showcase the plants while creating a through-line through a space. Between the fountains, bird feeders, trees, roses, florals, and garden tchotchkes it was both aspirational and inspirational. I left with a Coleus, 2 packs of Botanical Interests seeds to grow both Gourmet Baby Greens and Upland Cress Microgreens, a contraption to cover fruit and vegetable plants in my existing garden (to keep birds and insects from enjoying things before me), and two tubes of Sister Bees Lip Balm at 50% off. E D Wilson is a perfect place to know about if you need to get someone a gift and doing so would demonstrate your creativity, your thoughtfulness, your cool factor, and your commitment to sustaining small businesses. I wish this store were in my neighborhood.

Being polite as a shop owner is crucial to the survival of your store…read more I remember when this store opened a few years back. At the time, I was extremely excited to have a local garden center that supplied David Austin English roses. On my first visit the owner, Eugene, was friendly and helped me select some border plants for my garden. On my second visit I asked for a recommendation of an organic black spot and fungal treatment for my roses. He brought me to a small shed at the far edge of the property where he gave me a bottle of a BioAdvanced Rose & Flower care... for $35.00. I trusted he knew the best product per my ask, and at the time I was in the early stages of learning about organic gardening. Little did I know that the same product could be purchased online for $20.00. This in addition to the markup he has on David Austin roses made me rethink my appreciation of the local garden shop. His prices for David Austin roses are $45.00, when you can purchase direct from DA for $35. These two strikes kept me away for a while, until today. Walking home from the American Graffiti car show I stopped in to see what was new. I entered the store front, which was empty of staff and walked towards the outdoor garden area. I am in the market for large planters for my, ahem, David Austin roses - I have 35 in my collection. There were a few planters I liked on display so I took some photos to show my husband when I got home. As I was exiting, the owner came out back and passed me. I said hello, he replied 'no photos, please. It is a retail shop so no photos allowed." I replied, oh I must have missed the sign. There was no sign and this is not a museum. I attached the photos of the beautiful planters and garden bench I was interested in purchasing. I needed 5. I'll take my $2,000+ elsewhere. Don't worry, Eugene you will never see me in your shop again and I will make sure all of my garden friends and rose enthusiasts know what type of service you provide to locals.

I had such a great experience at Pond & Garden this weekend! We are repeat customers who just love…read morethe place (we are plant nerds). We live a couple hours away, but come by when we visit family in the area. We stopped in to check out the inventory and so much had changed! The lot seems to have expanded, and the inventory definitely has. A large inventory of beautiful trees, statement pieces for the garden with rare form, variegation, or hard to find cultivars. For example, a golden lace cypress that was simply stunning caught my eye. Boughs of golden lacy leaves with a gorgeous form. Many more very interesting trees, like a gold form Mugo pine, rare ginkgos, unique maples, bonsai stock trees, native oaks, elms. If you are planning a garden design and want a unique tree this is definitely your place. Great for Japanese style and any other garden design. Many dwarf species available. In addition, they have a wide assortment of pond plants, koi fish, pond equipment, pond kits, and the like. They also have a great assortment of succulents and bonsais. They even sell minerals and cute hand made paver stones that look like reds wood trunk slices. Scott, the owner, was a delight and gave me the honor of seeing his private collection (an expansive selection!) of Dyckia and bromeliads and rare euphorbia and other succulents. I could have spent hours in there just taking in all the beauty of the plants. I felt like I found a kindred plant loving spirit in Scott. He's a really nice guy and treated us really well. The best part was the prices were really great. I picked out numerous plants expecting really marked up prices as is typical for nurseries (it IS a business after all). However, I was pleasantly surprised by the fair pricing. I can't wait to come back to pet the dogs, check out the pigeons (they have homing pigeons in a big aviary out back), and nerd out on bonsais and succulents again. If you are curious I highly recommend stopping by.

They didn't have much on the Friday I went but they get shipments on Tuesday so I will be back! All the workers were very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. Prices were very fair. I ended up coming home with a couple flowering plants for my front porch too. I will be back for plants and also some stones for gifts. There is so much going on here it would be fun to just walk around even if you don't need anything.
