LOCAL REVIEW: I had a great experience visiting the Clermont Lowe's. The store was clean and bright. I came with the specific purpose of getting two keyed alike deadbolts. I could easily find the bay where the locks were located. There was a handy doorbell style button you could click to request assistance. A man showed up (I feel terrible that I forgot his name) and he asked how he could help. I asked him about their service to make two deadbolts work with 1 key. He was unsure so he called their resident expert, Danyielle over to help. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She actually informed me that Lowe's will rekey at no additional cost if you purchase the locks there in the store. But it wasn't necessary anyway since she was able to show me how I could find two deadbolts that were already keyed alike. She was kind and educated me which I think is invaluable for any shopping experience for home improvement. Pro tip: call your Lowe's ahead of time if you know you'll need help with something very specific like rekeying locks (as I thought I needed). I had called multiple stores because they usually only have a handful of employees that can rekey. This is what lead me out of my way to this particular Lowe's. But honestly, both employees were much more helpful than I have experienced as other locations, so this location feels worth the trek for me. read more

Do not use ARS Rescue rooter. Multiple requests for a copy of the inspection I paid for yet they do not provide. All it is was I had to pay to be added to a sales pipeline. They are selling me hard on a new AC unit despite my 7 year old unit working fine. Lowes ought to be ashamed of themselves. My review is of my experience at the Clermont Lowe's this afternoon where we bought steppingstones concrete blocks and 2 bags of rock and other heavy items when we checked out our cashier Carrie called for help but it never came so when a forklift guide came out we asked him for help he looked at our items and said he has a bad back ,and continue to help other customers that checked out after my wife and I . My wife is 70 years old and myself have had several back surgeries she had to load all the items on our pick up because no one ever showed. When I spoke to Felix the manager he said sorry we will" try better next time. There will be no next time we find better service at mount Dora and leesberg Lowes even though they are farther way.I've had my business account at Lowes for years and clermont Lowes is great if you don't expect any service after the sale. read more

I just want to give a special recognition to Dylan B from the Clermont store for an OUTSTANDING customer service experience. I was actually trying to do a self checkout with a gift card purchase and Dylan approached me to offer assistance and was kind enough not only to offer help, but to listen and understand the issue I was having using gift cards online. Dylan went above and beyond by taking me to a separate cashier and not only helped me with the gift cards, also offered to order the item that I was trying to buy online and is not available in store yet. I have to genuinely say that this is probably the BEST interaction I have had at Lowes, and the customer service experience that Dylan provided, greatly exceeded my expectations. We are remodeling our kitchen . We spent 4 plus hrs over 2 days selecting appliances. We were told everything was in stock, except the stove. We were told we could have everything shipped on 04/13/2024. Today we went to purchase before the sale ended. We were told we can't pay for the stove. They said it's policy. lol We went across the street to Home Depot. They had everything but the refrigerator. No problem! We paid for everything, and it all will be delivered on the 18th. Thank you Home Depot. Also it was about $450.00 CHEAPER ,with no hassles. Clermont Lowe's customer service has very little to be desired. read more

This Lowe's is fairly far from The Villages , so was a much more pleasant shopping experience than The Madhouse up in Lady Lake. Well stocked and clean. Too far to go to just to avoid going up north, but worth combining with other south errands whilst down this way. read more

I prefer Lowe's over HD if I have to go to a big box store. If I'm looking for basic hardware stuff tho I don't go to either if I can help it. Lowe's is clean, has good products, and prices are decent. read more

Went in to exchange my 5 gallon water bottles and as I was walking in 3 employees cut me off and walked in before me. Next 4 employees standing around talking and I needed help with the exchange rate on the water and had to interrupt them to get help. Then they went to the front by the exit near the water talking to another employee, they all saw me loading 3 -5 gallon water bottles and no one asked me if I needed help and barely moved over when I tried to load the water in my basket. No bye, have a nice day, do you need anything, thank you...just continued to talk with other employees!!! What happened to customer service and helping women??? However, with our new oven after 17 years, we are all stainless steel and the cats that delivered were professional and chill dudes. This was a fairly typical Lowe's. We went in and hope so finding some after Halloween merchandise left over and were sorely disappointed with the small amount they had left. They did have a ton of Christmas stuff that gave us a lot of ideas. While we were there we picked up a few items that we needed but have been in no hurry for. Employees wear masks and the store was well set up with dividers by the registers. I was surprised to see they had dividers between the self-checkouts which I have not experienced at other locations I have been to recently. I picked up 14 bags of pine nuggets and several bags had large holes and rips and I saw these bags hanging in front of the bags and I started to use them to stop the debris from spilling out and I didn't want this mess in my car and then I hear the lawn and garden Lowe's supervisor (DARRYL COOPER) yelling at me from another aisle because I used these bags and then he came over and actually took the bags out of my cart as if I was a child . When a store has reviews mostly of one stars there is a reason. We've had issues here twice with getting our military discount and we will not be returning. We talked to Amanda at customer service after the first issue. She told us to go to customer service if we had an issue again. This time the cashier told us she's "head cashier" and above customer service. We have a physical Military I.d. Card. I know we're just one customer to them but we spend a lot of money at Lowe's. Without a doubt, the most terrible retail experience of my life. I bought four cans of paint, and the woman who prepped it was on her phone the whole time, not paying attention. The cans weren't even pounded shut and spilled all over my trunk. I took them back and no one in the store could even offer an apology. Anyone can make a mistake but the way this store handled this was so embarrassing. Ordered multiple appliances with promised delivery in 5 days. This location says they are in stock yet has rescheduled delivery 5 times in 2 weeks. They promise to deliver again, nearly 3 weeks after purchase, with no reason for missing each prior scheduled delivery. Each missed delivery we have to call them, they don't call us. Why should they? They already have the $$$$$ spent and can string customers along indefinitely with complete absence of customer service and never-fulfilled delivery promises. Would give Lowe's zero stars if it was possible. If you need anything delivered for your home, do yourself a favor and don't shop here until this location's management does their job and fixes their delivery problems. read more

At least 4 times in the past year and a half I've TRIED to take them up on hiring them to install their ceiling fans. Tried- as in they have signs offering the service but refused to let me do it. I was sad today to see they no longer sell the fans I've been trying to buy. It says you can only set it up when you purchase. So after at least 2 associates in the section tell me "it's too expensive. Do it yourself." I leave without buying one because it says I have to do it at purchase. Today the guy once again said "it takes 20 minutes do it yourself." I said it's 18 feet high, I'll pay it! I've done everything else myself, flooring myself, tile (install and removal) to name a few. I am not doing this myself. He then told me to "hire someone off Angie's list". Why on God's green Earth do you advertise offering a service you refuse to let someone use? I shop Lowe's quite frequently as I am in the construction industry. Today was the first annual last time I will ever be shopping at this specific Lowe's. Every employee inside of the store seems like they hit their life and they had no idea where they were supposed to be. Rows and rows of parts, tools and supplies for the home and garden in an order that only my husband seems to understand. I am lost but he knows every inch of this store and its competitor's store. This particular Lowe's is very clean and orderly. It is set off the road with a non-descript sign, so you have to look for it. We generally can find what we need here. Usually a fan of this Lowe's, I cannot tell you how disappointed I was when I went in at 730am on Black Friday to find that the "special " priced poinsettias we're gone, YET they 1000's of other poinsettias at regular price!! This will be my home store!! A washer and dryer was purchased Nov 27 and they keep delaying delivery due to the vendor. I called the store directly and spoke with Angie who followed thru to see what the issue was on the delays, explained and further researched to see if it could be delivered earlier than the last date promised! Angie said she would call me back, she did! She set up delivery for the next day! She made sure accessories where in the truck, the drivers said they weren't and when I called and spoke with Angie she talked to them and sure enough they were on the truck!!! I used to go this lowes location as I live in Clermont. After hurricane Irma I found that my refrigerator would not come back on. I decided it was time for a new refrigerator rather than have mine repaired. My wife and I go to thei lowes appliance department and find the refrigerator we liked. We go to the appliance desk with 4 employees standing around socializing. I'm ok with a bit of gabbing, however, we stood there for 5 minutes and 45 seconds without acknowledging our presence. 3 employees left leaving us with an associate that has the salesmanship that lacks tact, patience, and/or service that is probably required by lowes. I was extremely disappointed in lowes for not only their staff but also with their stocking of appliances. That's right, I had to go to another store.
