When placing a 40% off sign, you need to do a better job of actually putting the sign next to the ONE item in the section that is actually 40% off... especially since the majority of the products in that section are produced by companies with the word "paper" in their name. The marketing seems to be a bit misleading. Additionally, when checking out, I initially did not receive the 40% off for additional paper products I was purchasing. I had to request a price check. I was correct. I understand mistakes are made. My recommendation is each time you're in Hobby Lobby and there is a discount, take a picture of the discount and the display to have available at the check out counter in the event of a discrepancy. read more

Hobby Lobby is a national chain that opened its first location back in 1972 when David Green opened the first Hobby Lobby in northwest Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They have since grown to close to a thousand locations. This is a pretty impressive accomplishment for any business. This location is always hopping. I don't see anything wrong with the speed of the checkout people & they usually have 3-5 lanes open, but man they must do a huge volume of business! Everything is quite reasonably priced, good quality, and the sales they have quite often are quite good. Usually we head here because they have a good selection of fabric. We're typically letting the kids pick out fabric for blankets, or shorts & pillows for grandma to make. My biggest complaint is actually in the fabric department. It always seems understaffed. The last 2 times I was there I waited 40 minutes, and luckily got in before 8 people behind me. There's always one person there, and they do ok, but it's slow work since they write everything down by hand. Other places scan & type in the length and go, but here it's all calculated by hand and takes f..o..r..e..v..e..r Not a horrible thing, but when you're buying 7 fabrics that are all different skus with different % off and those all have to be recorded and lengths and multiplied and divided out... It's always so clean and organized, staff is friendly and always available. One employee stopped to chat with me once, which was so kind. I absolutely love Hobby Lobby and the Clermont location is the best I've been to. Hobby Lobby offers a massive selection of home decor for all times of year and holidays. It has a great selection of crafts, art supplies, fabrics, florals, hobby kits, ect. I honestly do most of my shopping here, especially around the holidays. Whenever I see the fall/Halloween/Christmas stock come out, I go crazy! They have so many really pretty things to choose from and at great prices. Many things are almost always labeled 40% off or you can pull up a coupon for 40% off from their website everyday. Plus I've nabbed quite a few neat things in their 80% off aisle they tend to have between season changes. Seriously, if you haven't been to a Hobby Lobby or haven't been to this location, go! I really like this hobby lobby location as the store is large and the shells are always stocked full. They always have some type of 50% off discount on certain items throughout the store. They do not tell you or advertise what items are marked as 50% off until it is actually done so you would need to go into the store to find out. They have a great selection of anything for the home and their prices are usually better than their competitors. Stopped in the store recently to look for some interior artificial trees for the house and they did not have what we were looking for but we then made our way over to the frame department since we needed a bunch for some pictures we had to hang and we found out all framed for 50% off which was a great deal. Their staff is always friendly and courteous and the checkout counter is usually fast and efficient. I highly recommend the store if you are in need of some "home goods" read more

The hobby lobby in Clermont has to be the worst hobby lobby in Florida. All the workers are very rude. I would ask for help and instead of helping me. They would just tell me that I am near the department that I needed but they wouldn't show me where to go. As I would ask further questions they would just ignore me as they start walking off. Not to mention checking out is a joke. Apparently their conversations are more important than checking out their customers. There's no reason why we should be waiting in one line if you have three cashiers up there. read more

Very poor customer service. Help is hard to locate. Cashier tonight and the floor manager were very rude to my wife and I. They argued over what was labeled on the shelf. They were not going to accept what my wife and I read on the shelf label for a decorative piece. We finally, after they could not give it up and continued to disagree with us, just left our merchandise at the checkout. I really want to say "Yes, they are an excellent store", but I have been waiting at least a month for a simple raincheck order to come in. Sometimes they call and let me know one or two came in other times they do not call at all to let me know if anything came in. I honestly just want to finish my project. I probably will not be doing anymore projects where I have to rely on Hobby Lobby to get anything in stock. They say that they do not have a computerized inventory, that they cannot tell if they have something at the warehouse. It was all just a giant mess. read more
