My college Bestie bought me a Costco membership for my birthday last year. I told her thanks but reminded her that Costco was a solid 45 minutes from my house and that I already had a Sam's Club card and a BJ's card. She told me just try it out for the year because I think you'll love it and then if you don't, you can cancel it. Well, what can I say when you're right you're right. I love Costco! So I drive 45 minutes past a BJ's and a Sam's Club to go to Costco because I think their stuff is so much better. I absolutely love the Kirkland brand products. The selection of clothes they have is excellent. I got the best deal on my kids pants and shorts for his school uniform at the beginning of the school year. I have found some real deals on skin care. I saved so much money on the snacks that I put in my kids lunchbox here. They seriously have everything. The only complaint I'll make is that we need more Costco's because I do drive 45 minutes to this one and the millennial location is 45 minutes in the other direction for me. So if the powers that be. could put Costco in Davenport or Haines city that would be awesome. This one is pretty busy and I have yet to get the infamous hot dog because the line is always so long. read more

When we shop here we love to include a lunch time meal. My husband always loves the $1.50 hotdogs and drink deal ( always gets 2). What we also love to split is either a shrimp ring, shrimp salad or a chefs salad between us for lunch as well. All very delicious and we've done our shopping too. The vanilla parfait with fruit swirl is a dessert must have!!! If you go on a good day you can graze on the many food samples on the various end caps of most aisles. Many times we like the item we've sampled and buy the product too. A win win. read more

We had a return of a defective high end item, and I was anticipating a large hassle, as there was a plausible but untrue case that could have been made that it was our fault. Instead the return went as smoothly as could be, after we walked in all tense preparing for battle. We greatly appreciate it. Just wanted to do a quick shoutout to the is store. Thom on the cashiers has such a great personality! He even mentioned my C64 shirt...aging us both in the process! Last night, I was having issues with the tire pump (that odd locking mechanism). One of the guys came out near the end of the night to help us out after I flattened tire . On top of that, the tire center was great with checking our battery we had purchased a while back. They pulled up prices for us quickly. Friendly team. The employees in the quick service food area are on it. Usually friendly and moving quickly when the orders pile up. The store is clean, fairly well stocked, and has plenty of staff around and aware of customers with blank stares on their faces. We're usually in one or two times per week. Good experience. OH yes, ONE negative...the ridiculous guys at the AT&T area always calling out to customers gets a bit old. I've found myself walking on the far side of other customers so that I don't feel the need to explain that their prices are MUCH higher than I'm paying for my cell. read more

First time at this Costco, albeit a drive for us to get there, but they didn't disappoint. Mid week, high noon, and there was plenty of decent parking and after loading up minimal wait time in line to check out. Very efficient. Many items were priced lower than we are used to, compared to where our membership originated from (SoCal). Meats are still a little on the steeper side, but the quality is always a tad better. Instead of weekly jaunts we will be coming here probably every 4 to 6 weeks instead. read more

This Costco is always a great experience. There's plenty of parking, plenty of carts, and always there are great offers and promotions happening! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable... when talking to a few of them in the last year, I realized many of them have been working for Costco for YEARS (like 15+). Been a member about a year now. Honestly, I prefer the other big box store in town for their food choices, but Costco has auto place and a food court, so we do both. Costco is pretty good for most things, but they're too restrictive on purchasing amounts of things. There's always too much for a smaller family, especially fresh fruit. Also, the checkout is a mess. If you have executive membership, you can arrive an hour early. I arrived at 9 AM on a Sunday. There was already about 300 people waiting in line to get in the store. I'm so happy that Costco has finally arrived in Clermont! I have been waiting for one to open since we moved out this way 11 years ago. I typically drive to Mall of Millenia to go to Costco, so this will save a lot of time. People will argue that traffic on 50 will be worse. It might be for a bit as people drive by wondering what is new in the shopping center. The road is already backed up, so Costco is not all to blame. Most of the people are heading out to the Turnpike, not necessarily this new Costco or the recently opened Floor & Decor. There are many entrances and exits into the shopping center, which is nice. Even better would be a back entrance to Old Hwy 50. I went this morning on Grand Opening Day because why not? I love Costco and wanted to be one of the first. My prerogative, right? Call me crazy Lol. It really wasn't much worse than a Saturday at any other Costco when I was there in the early morning hours. There was a line to the left of the entrance that wrapped around the building. Thank God I didn't attempt to stand in that line. Turns out it was a line for the liquor store and/or new membership tables placed out front. I think a lot of people stood in that line, not knowing any better for God knows how long. It would've been nice if the employees informed the line what they were standing there for. There was actually no line to go shopping in the general store area. The store is laid out similar to the Millenia location and appears to be about the same size. There are self checkouts up front and the food court has the self ordering kiosks. Plenty of staff around to answer questions, at least for now. Go now or give it a month to normalize. Do what works best for you. :) read more

Costco started out really good a few years ago. The new location in Clermont sucks. So very inconsistent. Every other week you go to get something you bought the previous week and it's gone. You ask when it will be back, the front desk says, hard to say. So back to BJ's. read more

4/15/2025 we went to Clarmont Costco. At check out I told the person whom I think her badge said front supervisor. I informed her that I have an extra empty cart so that I can split the over filled cart. She did not Acknowledge that she heard me. So I kindly repeated it to her. She turned to me with rude tone of voice and said "let's get this unloaded on the counter so we can get it going.... Wow! I spent over $600. I was disappointed by her customer service. Later a gentleman from Costco came to help her load the second cart. She tells him there are two carts. This man responded to her, "thank you for telling me". He responded in a way that was with respect and what she should have done for me. She failed. She might have been having a bad day and took it out on me. She needs retraining on hospitality. read more

Glad they finally put one in Claremont so I don't have to fight traffic around the millennial mall. Been shopping at Costco since the 80's and overall much better than other big box stores. Great prices, love the gas prices, but I wish they would bring back the polish dogs sauerkraut n onions in the food court. Other then that I will be glad when their bakery can get the coffee cake muffin down correctly... had some that were not fully baked with doughy middles. My recent experience with going into a Costco came this morning. I arrived at 9:45 only to be told that if I didn't have the more expensive membership, I couldn't shop at that time. It's interesting in this day and time without communication that the corporate offices of Costco would make these decisions as a ploy to get people to buy their executive membership. Of all the wholesale clubs Costco is the most expensive for memberships and also a lot of their items are also very expensive. By doing this, the only interest I have with Costco is a gas but even that it's starting to skyrocket again and yes, they are the most expensive in the area. Very disappointed to take the lease but keeping it real Costco doesn't have great price compared to other wholesale club in the area same products. As a Costco girlie, it was only right that I get my new tires from their tire center. Before making the purchase, I stopped by while shopping in the store and spoke with one of the service men about the process. He was very friendly, helpful, and didn't pressure me to buy the most expensive tires. Because the ones I wanted were not in stock, I ordered them online and they were delivered to the store a lot earlier than expected. I was able to change my appointment to a new time and while there the process was so easy. I took my time walking through the store picking up a few things that I needed and then chilled in the food court until my car was ready. Again the gentlemen working were all very friendly. The only negative was that I took a lot longer than expected, but it was okay since I was getting them changed much sooner than originally scheduled. If you're a member I would recommend you consider them as an option. The entire process was seamless. read more

Don't buy tires here. Good prices, but you have to wait in a long line to drop off your car, wait in a long line to pick up your car, and they are unreachable by phone. Once they get your car, they break things and then say it's your fault. The good prices are a false economy when all is said and done. Go someplace more reputable. read more

I've heard a lot of hype surrounding Costco, so I decided I would take a look at it before purchasing a membership. I walked up and read the sign: must present ID and membership to purchase. Sounds fair. The greeter welcomed everyone that walked in, but stopped my boyfriend and I to ask us to present our membership. We told her we were just looking and wanted to see if a membership was worth it. She responded that we were supposed to go through her, not to touch anything, and we could not purchase anything without a membership. Had she told me I needed to sign up for a trial, or come back to her if I liked what I saw, I would've been fine. Instead I felt unwelcome and made a fool of in front of a stream of people entering whom she didn't bother to stop. I gave them 2 stars because the meat and deli department looked great, despite seeing employees standing around on their phones. read more

I ordered a washing machine on line and had it delivered 3/18/25 the second time I washed with it the machine stopped with all my clothes in it soaking wet . This was the same day I received the washing machine. I called customer service and they told me they would be out with a new one on 3/21/25 , this was the soonest they could get to us . So my clothes have been locked in this machine soaking wet for 4 days . I called on the 21st in the morning to see when they would be out and they told me they did not have the replacement in stock and it would not be in for another week . No one that I talked to care at all about us being with a machine . They took away our old one that was still working and would not even bring that back . We are now looking to buy from someone else and will try to get our money back from Costco. They said they would not refund me until they got the faulty new one back . It's been all day and they have not called to schedule a pick up of the faulty machine. This is going to be a terrible ordeal getting this cleared up from a company that absolutely does not care at all about customer service . DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM COSTCO !!!! However, we ordered the pizza at 6:38 and it's now 724 and they still have not made the pizza. The unfortunate part is there's nobody here to assist us for a refund and it is complete chaos at this Costco. Still working out the kinks though, and merchandise seems more limited compared to Millennia. However, it's a great addition to the area and it's much less busy than the others in Orlando. On Friday November 17th, we went to the newly opened Costco on Hwy 50 Clermont. We were wanting to look around before deciding to get a membership! We were informed that we needed a membership to enter the store. Not being familiar with the store, not aware of this at the time. So we went home and signed up on line. We go back the next day and again not allowed in because the store closing. The hours on the wall had been changed from what we saw the night before. They finally let us in to look around! The store has no signs letting you know what is down each isle! Asked an attendant about this and was informed that it is their treasure hunt! You are to walk around lost until you find the item you need! This was the most asinine thing I have ever heard of! Needless to say, I do not recommend Costco to anyone! Worst experience I have ever had! We are sticking with BJ's!!! read more

My main problem with Costco Clermont is lack of Mobility Scooters. The membership manager stated that they had a total of six scooters and none were available at a low customer time. One of the six was out of order and we had to wait over a half hour for one to become available. When we finally obtained a scooter, the battery died halfway through our visit. My wife had to get a wheelchair for me which made it very difficult to checkout with a cart and a wheelchair and one person to handle both. We're not able to finish our shopping as a result. On another note, while prices are good, product availability is poor. An example is no Diet Pepsi, no Tostitos Chips, no Campbell Chicken Noodle soup, to name a few. Overall, we had high expectations of Costco but they disappointed. read more
