Didn't have an appointment, showed up around 6:00 pm and waited about 30 minutes. Honestly even pre-covid I've waited that long so that wasn't a big deal for me. What was a big deal is I was getting an upgrade to and iPhone 12 and the man helping me - I wish I'd caught his name - royally destroyed my phone. He somehow put in two activation requests? And therefore when I got home my new phone wouldn't do anything remotely phone related aka make calls, send texts, etc. The store was closed at that point so I couldn't go back. Cue me then calling Verizon and spending nearly an hour on hold with them... the first person was pretty useless and said I wait until the next day and go back to the store, we went back and forth a few times until eventually she transferred me to an actually helpful person who said that he would fix it but it would take a few hours and at ~some point throughout the night my phone would activate. It does work this am thank goodness, but no thanks to the workers in this store. Thanks goes to the IT guys at Verizon corporate. And even the people I spoke with on the phone were like "wow, this guy really messed up your phone" soooo Update: two days later it's not working again - so I'll be going back to this store attempt to remedy the problem. Second update. Changing my review to two stars because the manager fixed it all up for me today and was very kind... doesn't negate the four days I've spent being annoyed & not having a working phone though. read more

Avoid this location. Avoid employee Yasil who has stolen from our family under the guise of calling it "gifting" and avoid anything to do with this company! In December 2015 my wife went in to get a new iPhone 6. While there, an employee talked up how if she got the newly released 6S (which she didn't want, she wanted the 6), then she could get "iPhones for life" and "just pay taxes" to upgrade her phone to the new iPhone, and the 7 was specifically mentioned. Sadly, my wife listened to the bucket of lies that she was sold that day and our family became poorer based on this first lie. Fast forward a year and my wife goes in and deals with employee Yasil in December 2016. He spins around a screen and assures her "your bill is not going to go up" and then asks for her phone. Today, the store manager, Mike, told that my wife that she "gifted" the phone to Verizon on that day. My wife did not "gift" the phone, it was at this point stolen from her. If she did not have to turn it in, why the hell did Yasil take it from her while upgrading her to a iPhone 7? She got $0.00 credit for it and now we're paying full price for some stupid upgrade. "iPhone free for life" is a lie and so are the employees at this location. [Edit] This took almost 5 hours total time over 3 days, posts to their corporate facebook, and multiple contacts with multiple levels of corporate customer service and the manager of this location. OH... surprise surprise, somehow they realized they didn't credit my wife for that phone they claim that she "gifted" them. $300+ later and the problem is resolved. Still doesn't excuse the lies and attempted thievery that was done here. read more

Poorly staffed and stricter-than-anywhere Covid procedures have me switching back to AT&T. Have visited the location several times to replace phones or SIM cards. Each time I find myself wondering why I put up with such poor service from the most expensive US carrier. Was told I had to make an appointment to enter the store once, so I bought a phone at apple. Next time I was told that only 4 people were allowed in the store at a time, and that there was no way I would be seen before the store closed in an hour. Today I was told to sit in my car with an estimated wait of 45 min. When I told him that I was switching to AT&T for this continued poor service, the greeter snidely asked me, "What do you want me to do, skip you past everyone that's waiting?" I replied, "I want you to adequately resource your store so you can serve the customers your company takes money from monthly." He replied, "I agree with you. I want that too." The response from Verizon corporate on this review is a further indication of the fact that they have become deaf to their customers. They make their response 100% about Covid and don't address the root problem. You are the only retailer with guards at your door limiting occupancy to 4 people in a 6000sqft building. I upgraded to the iPhone 15 in November. They added insurance to my account @ $17 per line (3 lines), removed my auto pay without telling me. It's February and I'm still trying to get them to remove this insurance from my account. This store is like a used car store. read more

When I stated that I spend too much money with this company to receive such poor service and refusal to honor my contract, two people just gave me a thumbs up. Absolutely horrible. I can't say this enough, stay away from Verizon at any and all costs. It's all sunshine and rainbows when you sign up and immediately after they have your money your bill WILL increase and you will be lucky to get a drop of customer service. I came in a few weeks ago as a customer for multiple years, all I was looking for was some help with closing my account and trying to pay my phone off. The young man who was checking people in basically told me no one there could help me, and that I should turn around and do it all from my phone. However I needed to pay in cash, to which he replied "we don't take split payments" even though that makes zero sense. After being turned away at the door, because apparently I wasn't worth helping, I then proceeded to try and get in touch with Verizon customer service for multiple days met with no help and an average wait time of 1hr+ on hold. At approximately 7:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019, I stopped at the Verizon store at 1415 E. Hwy 50 in Clermont, FL. I was the only customer in the store. There were 4 employees, 3 behind a desk, and 1 standing between the desk and the store doors. I entered the store, one of the employees asked how they could help me. I stated that I was there to get some information about the offer for some Verizon customers to get a free year of Disney plus when it is launched. The response that I received was "you can find all of that information if you use the Verizon app on your phone." I was completely put off by that response. If there had been a store full of people I would have understood, but as the only customer, all I wanted, was for 5 minutes of personalized customer service. All I wanted, and I'm sorry if this is asking too much, was for the employee to say, "sure, lets pull up your account and take a look." So, after getting back home, I logged on to the Verizon Wireless website and I had and online chat conversation with an agent that not only explained the upcoming release of Disney plus, but also directed me through the process to submit feedback directly to the management of the store about the visit. On Sunday afternoon, I missed a call from the General Manager of the store, Justin. He left a message letting me know he had read my feedback and that he'd addressed it (even though he was off work that day) but still wanted to talk to me in person; but he did not leave a number or way to contact him, and the number in the caller ID just said Wireless Caller. On Monday, I logged back in to the Verizon Wireless website and spoke to someone asking for the contact information for Justin. I have some hearing loss and avoid talking on the phone unless absolutely unavoidable. They could not give me an email address for Justin, or for the store - it wasn't in their system. Frustrated, I signed off. Tuesday, I logged in again, and made the same request, after an hour of back and forth with someone who wasn't a supervisor, I finally got connected to a supervisor who assured me that she would absolutely reach out to Justin the next day and provide him with my email address or tell him to text me. Wednesday passed - nothing. Thursday passed - nothing. On Friday, once again, I log on and start a new chat. Another hour of pointlessly repeating all previous conversation, I keep getting told that all of the supervisors are helping other customers. I log off, still unresolved. Now here we are at Saturday. A full week since my poor experience at the store. I spend, yet another hour - I think it was well over 90 minutes today actually, re-explaining all of the same things I've explained 5 times. I express that at this point I am expecting some compensation and how I don't understand how I cannot get connected to a supervisor, and I still cannot get connected to the supervisor for my local store. 5*****star review of Mr. Omar Arteaga Verizon Wireless Solution Specialist in the Clermont Store! We changed to Sprint last year and it was the worst mistake of our life! They charged at the beginning one quantity of $$$ for the monthly use of the phones and then changed and charged more $$$ than the one we where told that we would pay monthly and also they did not have coverage on Clermont where we lived! We were most of the time without internet paying almost $300 for month ! We expressed our concern to Sprint that we wanted to change Carriers and come back to Verizon and they told us in their store that we had a contract until September and then we have to pay more $$ to keep the phones! This month the bill increased $20 and my wife called Sprint Customer service to ask why the bill was more expensive and then she voiced her concerns about changing the carrier to Verizon they told us that we did not have a contract and that that we had a lease and to change Carriers we would have to pay the remaining months of the lease and some $$$ to keep the phones, the total amount $1,200! We went to Verizon Wireless store in Clermont and explained the situation to Mr. Omar Arteaga Solution Specialist who oriented us about what to do when going to the Sprint store to pay and what to do for us to go back to the Verizon store with the phones unlocked which we did today and he activated both our phones and changed our carrier to Verizon and since I am 60 years old and my Wife is 59 years old there is and offer for $80 plus taxes for 2 lines and since the phones are paid we qualified for this offer! We are very happy and now we have a savings of $150 monthly! Thanks Verizon and Mr. Omar Arteaga Solution Specialist who is bilingual, very friendly, professional, very quick in his job and has Excellent Customer service! In our opinion the best Solution Specialist in the world! We give Thanks to God for giving us the pleasure of meeting this professional! We will reccomend this store and Solution Specialist, Mr. Omar Arteaga without hesitation! Excellent carrier, Employee and a very happy customer! Kudos to Verizon and keep up the good work! They always have what I'm looking for on iPhone launch days. Haven't needed to pre order, for the past three years. Staff is always excited to help and they keep their store clean and organized. The only thing I'd suggest for improvement is their accessories section. It's pretty dark compared to the rest of the store. read more

I went into this Verizon store to see about switching my husband from another provider to being on my account. The individual we were working with said it was an easy switch once we gained access to his phone from the other provider. He told us there would be no fees associated with the switch and that I could also save money on my monthly bill by signing up for automatic payments. He was nice and we were originally very pleased with the interaction. Then I received my first bill, I had not received the dIscount for the automatic payments AND there was a $40 transfer fee applied. I had to go into the store already due to the fact that my husbands phone had absolutely no service since we made the switch. We were working with a different gentleman than the previous one we had seen a few days before. He got the $40 off and upon them giving my husband another SIM card, and the phone still searching for service to no avail, we had to get him a completely new phone. The man working with us stated that because I had been a Verizon customer for over 10 years, my husband could get the new 10XS at $400 off the original place. In addition, my husband ended up getting a case from the store, to which a manager there had worked a deal with him to get $20 off. Everything was applied directly to our account. The manager "gave us his word" that after 14 days (the tIme period of which he could have returned the case) he would apply the $20 credit. I had even mentioned to the manager to see if there were anyway he could guarantee he would apply the $20 and the $400 off the phone, due to the issue I had with them just a few weeks prior. He insisted that he would use the previous experience as a coaching opportunity for the last employee and without a doubt would take care of our bill propeRly the next month. To no surprise, the $400 was never taken off my husbands phone and we were listed as paying full price for the case as well, so our bill was through the roof. I had to then spend 40 minutes on the phone with Verizon customer service to get the issue handled, prior to the bill being automatically withdrawn. It's just super frustrating that they tell you all this stuff to your face and then NEVER have backed it up. read more

In a day and age where excellent customer service is a scarcity, this Verizon location in Clermont is a standout. When I had technical difficulties with my Nokia phone, at least 3 staff members worked tirelessly trying everything they could to fix my phone and managed to get me a replacement phone at the 11th hour of my warranty period. At a later date, when I was ready to switch from a prepaid plan to a family plan and get a new phone we dealt with another employee (Scott) and he also provided fantastic customer service. He's a young guy who stayed well past closing time on a Saturday night (when he probably had a social life waiting for him) to help us. He never seemed rushed and worked hard to make sure we received a good deal and had all our needs met. Many, many kudos for going above & beyond the call of duty and providing superior customer service! It's service like this that keeps us coming back to Verizon. read more

So my iPhone 7 had a hardware issue which caused the phone to turn off constantly. In turn, I had to replace my pretty new phone. I went to the Verizon store in Clermont (on 50) and they told me that if I got a replacement through the Verizon store, I would need to wait 3-5 business days so I went to Apple in the mall in Orlando for a replacement. Apple replaced the phone but did not replace the cover screen (which is not a cheap item) as it is an iPhone accessory. I went back to the Clermont Verizon store thinking that they would honer replacing the cover screen for free being that what happened with the phone was not my fault but they refused to do so and charged me over $38 for a new cover screen. They said they do not replace accessories and brought up the example of if I "lost" the phone cover. I said that if I lost the phone cover, that would be my fault, this was not. I pay a ton of money for 4 phones and plans and have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. Makes me really consider changing companies when customer service is not there. read more
