I called for tech support on my wireless connection. Tranfered to India where I waited on hold 30 minutes. When I finally got through I had to spell my name 4 times. She put me on hold three times before telling me she couldn't help me. Transfered me to Brighthouse Orlando (!) where I waited on hold 45 minutes before hanging up. You suck, Brighthouse and so does your business affiliate in India. read more

Just like many other people have said on here they have gotten really bad for some reason, when you call them you have to say your number to a computer making it confusing because if you don't speak very clearly and slow the machine wont pick up your number and then you have to wait for ever to get someone to answer you in who knows what country and try for them to understand what problem you are going threw and have them fix it over the phone. They scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out and fix our phone but they said they called but ended up calling the house phone the number that is not working, duh if they were smart enough they would of figure that is the reason why we had them coming out for. Not the brightest people on earth but we did get our appointment rescheduled for the next day so hopefully they will come out and get this straightened out. read more

This company is disgusting. I noticed that my in-laws are paying more than me and only have cable whereas I have cable + internet + HD DVR. I called for them and got Anthony on the line from sales. I wanted to see if there was a plan that would be a bit more beneficial. Anthony not only wasn't offering solutions, he was trying to explain that their bill was "their fault" because they didn't want to take advantage of BH's generous bundles (his words). We went back and forth when I asked to speak with his manager, I was put on hold for 11 minutes. The issue is still pending and I have since followed up with a manager as well as contacting tech support to have some other issues worked out. Another recent issue was that I scheduled a contractor to fix some wires last Saturday and he showed up Friday morning as I was leaving for work. I explained that it was for Saturday because I work and wouldn't have scheduled it for a weekday. When I called I was told that I needed to make an appointment for the following week because I missed my appointment and they tried charging me a fee for rescheduling! After all was said and done, they ended up comping me a free month of service and 6 months of free HBO. I really wish there were more cable options. As it stands, I have to deal with BH since I don't really want satellite and I tried the Netflix/HULU route to no avail. I would say that I only pay for 9-10 months of service per year anyways because we have these little "customer service hiccups" often. Hopefully something changes with this company. Business phone and internet out June 18, 2014 Wednesday from 830am to 330pm. When the phones came back up, no voice mail messages, so that did not work either? Could not use credit card terminal or our online repair manual. No customer calls, that is lost business. We do not carry business interruption insurance, (another sticky mess). I do not appreciate being forced and told NO by the employee. I went into pay my bill. There was me and 1 other customer in store. I went to the employee with my money and bill and I said I would like to pay my bill. Was told NO that I would have to use their new machine. Employee got up and said that I HAVE to use the machine. Stay away from this company if you can. I unfortunately live in an apartment where brighthouse has an internet monopoly making it near impossible to change ISP's. While the overall service is quite good, the customer service and pricing is terrible. My bill has increased 2 times in price after my initial starting price of 29.99. They sent me a notice saying they had the right to increase prices as they desired. Eek. Customer Service is stubborn and won't budge to keep you if you threaten to cancel. Brighthouse is a cable company I could find something to complain about, but I will save the effort for the Cellphone companies (Is there a cellphone company that anyone actually likes??? well its sort of like that with cable companies..) I switched to them from Comcast. They have been very good and reliable to me. Much better than Comcast. Recently CenturyLink tried to steal me away. We love the DVR software that Brighthouse uses it is the easiest to use to fast forward through commercials that I have ever seen and their internet has not gone down on me one time (been two years now 12-2011). We've been a customer of Brighthouse for over ten years and have no complaints about the service for cable, internet or phone. We've always had wonderful service and any time we have a problem, which were rare, a service rep is sent in a timely manner and they always seem to be very knowledgeable. Unfortunately our community is changing our service to another company and all the reviews I've read are horrible. However being in a service industry, I know people complain about bad service but rarely comment on good service. I hope this holds true for our new company. read more

What Happened to BrightHouse Networks? I've been with then for almost 10 years and have seen a steady decline in both customer service and technology. Someone needs to change things before they start to lose big time. Problems: Constant technical problems from faulty modems, poorly trained field techs all saying the last one didn't do things correctly so he "fixed" everything. Yeah right. Next! Several modems already this past 8 months or so. Movies on demand constantly having to be restarted after a failure in transmission. Channels taking a long time to change. And demand programming takes forever to load. MOD, Primetime and so on. Ever since they may the transition to digital, things have gotten even worse. Customer service is always nice but they can only do some much behind a computer. One minor complaint, the last fella I had barely spoke proper english and it was difficult to understand him. And prices! What dumbass decided to raise rates during an economy like this? Honestly, when you all were sitting around the board table do you actually think this was going to fly? Quite honestly, people are tired of TV and you're lucky we still watch it with internet programming so widely available now. And for goodness sakes.. again with gas almost 4 bucks a gallon and a loaf of bread nearly 5 bucks, which bills do you all think a family is going to pay first? Seriously, someone made a really bad decision to raise rates like this. So after almost 10 years I'm parting ways with Brighthouse as I'm done wutg the stupid administrative decisions they keep making and poor technological problems. I was told the technician would be here to hook up service between 8 and 10 and would call 30 minutes before coming. They had not called by 10, so I called and spoke to customer service. She assured me they would call first, which was important because I was going back and forth to my former residence on the same block and I wanted to be sure to be there. I was back at the house from 10:30 to noon waiting and never heard from them so I called again. The rep said someone came and nobody was home, so they left. Never called. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! we moved and needed our service moved aswell. provided them 3 weeks notice about the move and advbised that it is a brand new residence and asked if they would need any steps to set up...they said no...well that was lie number 1 when they came to do the setup they discovered they had not done the proper prework and told me they'd be back later that day to do it well later slowly (and 5 phone calls) turned into tomorrow and tomorrow into the day after until the told me they couldnt do the work until more then 2 weeks out and then 2 weeks became 30 days...then suddenly i got a call saying a tech was at my house so i dropped everything and started to drive home only to be told no the tech left and will be back between 6-8 then 5 minutes later i got a call saying that was an error and actually they have not done the proper work so they dont need to come back. and then finally another call from a "supervisor" saying that they did work and told us they'd be there from 2-4 another lie as we were not home to have them tell us anything. seems like no one there either enters notes or reads them. every rep i spoke with told me a different story. i will be pushing for my hoa to switch from brighthouse!!!! read more

Service down for cable, internet and phone service more than it's up. We were told that we have an issue with the cable box, but Brighthouse refuses to replace, so we spend more time waiting for service to correct, than actually having service. I'm calling today for a 4th trip to my home to replace one of my DVR's AGAIN. The DVR keeps needing me to re-boot it sometimes it will re-boot all by itself, did it twice last night in 30 minutes time. I dunno, the last tech said they had switched to Samsung DVR's and there was some kind of problem...........why give me another "problem"? I have Direct-TV in place that I use for the NFL Sunday Ticket and I'm thinking seriously of just switching all my service over to them. read more

How about having a contest for "worst customer service". I wold win! On Wednesday I had trouble with TV. Called Bright House. On hold for more than 20 min. Made appt. for Thursday "tomorrow" between 2 & 4. Next day at 12:33 got a call saying the rep read the calendar wrong. Appt is for next day -Friday- bet 12 & 2. A new DVR was installed,. After one hour didn't work. Called and after another 20 min wait was told that I need a new box. Wrong one installed. Appt was made for Next day (Sat) between 10 & 12. Service person was a "no-show" . Called again, more waiting. Was told that I would receive a call back in 10 min. No call. Called again and was told that I would have someone come between 6 & 8. Another no show. More calls and more waiting. Sat night I called again at 11:02 and got through at ll:24. I asked for a supervisor and was told I would receive a call in 24 to 48 hours. This morning I received an E-mail telling me that I should call to reschedule. Can anyone top this??????? No stars for Bright House! read more

The thing that sucks is that we tried switching to century link, but they have a deal with our apartments, which prevents us from getting any provider because they supposedly have claimed territory with our apartment manager, who says they are brighthouse only, even though we are also zoned for century link. Went to this location to change my service with Bright House. The lady we spoke to was very helpful and friendly. She scheduled our appointment for service between 8 am and 10 am on 10/20/16. So it's almost noon and no technician yet. Had to make several calls to Bright House to finally get someone to answer my call (40 min). I explained the purpose of my call, they did try and reach the technician while I was on hold but that attempt did result in the technician not answering. Had cable/internet/telephone for my 90 year old uncle wintering in Largo. Installer came within the 2 hour range (good) and was polite (good). The installer "finished" and was leaving when we asked him to confirm that the internet was working. It was not. After fixing this by replacing faulty equipment he left saying the telephone would take about 1 hour to connect. Two to three hours later (at 2:00 pm) we called and they said someone would come right out. As of 8:30 pm no one had come. A 90 year old has been left without a telephone. read more

Brighthouse is by far the worst cable company I have ever encountered. To top it all it is really expensive and their equipment is worthless. I just got a bill for 166 dollars for one cable HD box and my medium speed internet. The internet works, but when it is down, which has happened more than once, it becomes necessary to call them and wait on the phone forever till they finally send someone over who lets you know they will fix it on their end, and there was no need to come to your place in the first time. The service is overpriced as hell. Fios is much better but not offered where I lived and their service is much cheaper on top of that. WORST cable company ever. read more

Although the television cable isn't horrible and the internet is somewhat adequate, the phone service is horrendous. I have missed emergency and very important phone calls because of their extremely unreliable VOIP. I have had 3 service technicians out to fix my issue in the last three weeks. The day after the 3rd service call, the phone was down again for several hours due to a region wide problem. I switched back to a land line today. I have had enough of their sub standard equipment and poor customer service. If you are thinking about getting Bright House phone service - think again unless you don't actually need to use your phone. read more

First, the good news: everyone I've met from the McGuire Rd office in Ocoee has been more than helpful. The bad news is, I see them far too often. The internet sometimes can't make it more than a few day at a stretch, and the TVs are only a little better. As far as their tech support over the phone; I think they gave them all an English test, and fired those who passed. This whole system is strictly Fred Flintstone, and an embarassment to the company. meh its ok better then most i've tried but I keep having problems with their internet service they offer the speed they say you get for the money ou pay for the speed is not even close to what they said I would get. I got their 90mbps 10 upload speed service, Currently now I am getting 60mbps and under and the upload speed is ok. so I am just thinking about downgrading to 60mbps and 5 mbps upload. By the way I only have 2 devices connected at times max in the house other than that its only 1 device and I am litterallly less then 5ft away from the router. This is not the first time this has been happening with brighthouse's internet service issues, I know they are going to have their issues at times but cmon sometimes it can last few days to a week where the internet just drops and nothing is done. Its a hassle to keep calling for support and chatting online with them all the time. read more
