Our Spectrim service went out for a minute or two numerous times daily and was never at the speed we paid for, so we had another provide install internet July 7th. We returned the equipment July 10th, but they would not allow the wife (person who has credit card for the account) to cancel on the 10th, as they only allow the account holder (husband) to cancel, so he called on the 11th and cancelled the service (again equipment was returned on the 10th). We actually unplugged the equipment and stopped using the service on the 7th. We then received a bill for service July 7th- August 6 th for $89.99 and were told that they would not prorate it even though we returned the equipment and cancelled the service. I am pretty sure that if a Spectrum employee quits on a Monday that they are not paid for the whole week, so they should not be entitled to get paid for services not provided. They say it's in their terms, so prospective internet customers be ware: our experience was that the internet went out numerous times a day, was not at the speed we were paying for and then they wanted to be paid for almost a full month after equipment was returned. read more

DO NOT GET SPECTRUM SERVICES. UNRELIABLE AND WEAK. I've had spectrum for a couple of years and feel like I have spent more time without Internet than I have with. This week alone I lost a full day of work because there was a service outage, today there is another service outage. It happens so frequently, and they say they will adjust your bill, but they never do, making the customer service a big zero as well. Do not get Spectrum for your Internet if you live in the Clermont area. Not worth the prices they charge at all. I will be canceling my services with them this week. I went in Saturday to buy a phone and change from AT&T to Spectrum mobile. After almost 2 hours They were unable to process my order. It was a nightmare. I have never tried to buy a product with so much difficulty. Ended up buying from Wal-Mart. I called today to cancel my one mobile account talked to four different people and as of this writing I am on my second call that has been 1 hour and 40 minutes. After being a customer for 4+ years I moved and cancelled their internet service in 12/17....only to learn that the billing 'policy' bills for the entire month regardless of the cancellation date...i.e. your monthly bill is NOT prorated (this policy was changed July 2019).... my billing cycle started the 15th of each month....and I wasn't informed of this when I put in my cancellation notice on 12/7/19 or I would s have cancelled effective 12/15...I now have the privilege of paying for an entire month of service that I won't receive.... read more

Worst cable provider ever. I have call so many times for the same problem and the issues never is resolved. The service technician blames it on the office tech 's. They say everything is fine and when you call back and complain most of the time it starts working when they do there magical reset? But waiting on the phone when your trying to relax after a hard day work weekly is just not worth it to me. read more

Not happy with Spectrum. Sold a rental property that had Spectrum for 6 years. We sold 5 days into the new month and they billed us for the entire month. They claimed they "changed their policy" March 2019 to no longer give partial month credits. Wow, isn't that convenient and great for them? I never agreed to it (except by not canceling their service) and never saw this notice since I'm on auto bill. They don't care. Grab a few extra dollars. The rep on the phone was great (in all seriousness). She gave her canned answer that it was like a gym membership and bills month to month. But, not really. Spectrum is more of a public utility given an operating license by the state and county. They are the only option. Unlike a gym, if you want cable you are stuck with them. Also,I signed up 6 years ago and agreed to their fees at that time. To change the agreement during the term in favor only of Spectrum is terrible customer service. Finally I'm angry to see the rental fee on small receivers has gone from $5 to $8 over the years. I have the same $20 boxes that I've had for 6 years. I've paid for these things 8x over. Another unbelievable money grab. All I can say is that streaming is going to crush them and deservedly so. Hopefully in another few years they are an Internet utility only and then bought by a better company. Brighthouse was so much better! It is a shame that the Spectrum monster acquired them. read more

Spectrum is perfect for anyone who wants to read more or maybe just spend more time outdoors. Their service is so lousy, you'll never have anything to keep you glued to the idiot box...unless you like watching the "channel not available" display. I've lived all over the country and I can say with a fair degree of certainty that Spectrum is the worst provider in the nation. Congratulations guys, you can't be this bad by accident; you've obviously put a lot of effort in your race to the bottom. All your hard work has paid off!!! read more
