I found them to be utterly unreliable--getting a response to questions and requests required multiple e-mails, calls, and texts over weeks-long periods. When they did reply, they often failed to include critical information or answer direct questions / requests I had posed. On top of their sloppy communication (which certainly carries over to their website), they failed to correctly diagnose, let alone resolve, the issue that led me to bring my computer to them in the first place. Three times, I brought my laptop to Computer Repair Shoppe, and when I brought it home it crashed within hours of banal use (web browsing, watching a YouTube video). While I certainly understand that issues can be challenging to diagnose, my experience raises serious concerns about the thoroughness of Computer Repair Shoppe's diagnostics, especially when the next repair service I used was able to identify a motherboard issue (apparently missed during the many days that Computer Repair Shoppe kept my laptop) right away. They promise "Best Service Ever or It's Free!" but my experience has been that they do not mean it.

Thankfully, the Genius Bar has a list of local computer techs who will go where no Apple has gone before (past its warranty) and Tech Hero was at the top of that list. Thankfully, I haven't had to go see them a whole bunch, but when I did, it was for cataclysmic stuff that went down at the most inopportune times. The gurus at Tech Hero were professional, courteous, knowledgable and fixed my rigs as right as rain. There's a $90 diagnostic fee that must be paid up front, but if you're like me and you're full of anxiety over yet another computer breakdown, that's a small price to pay especially when their success rate in solving my problems has been 100% so far. If you're in the Orlando area, I'd highly recommend these guys and their expertise.

PC Geeks couldn't verify the diagnosis and despite having it for a number of days could not replicate the error.
