I know you've seen those people with pick-up trucks driving around the neighborhood with loads of "junk" aka scrap metal in the back, packed to the heavens! Well, this is the place where they go. And I too got to experience the scrappyness of it all. After collecting much scrap metal over a period of time, my husband and I loaded our trailer and headed over on a very hot summer day. You drive in on a large scale the size of three cars and it weighs your vehicle, after supplying your identification and getting your before weight, you drive over to the piles of scrap and toss all of it to the large piles and "the claw" takes it away...all of this being tin. Any other metals (copper and aluminum) you want to save and take to another area, as those are worth more. You go back to the scale and it calculates the weight and how much money you get $$, cha ching!

Most companies went by pounds, which was difficult because we didn't have a scale, and would charge around $100 base price and go up in increments of $50 based on weight. This seemed a little expensive and many of the companies were chains. Then we found Shred-All. Shred-All is a local Orlando company. We found them easy to reach--no weird phone dialing options--and communicative. They gave us a day and a time estimate and were right on time to shred our items on site. Best of all? They were easy to price. They asked if my items would fit in a standard garbage can. Yes, they did. $60! All for friendly and expedient service right to my garage door.
