This review is based on service support received today. Stopped by the store to pick up a few things. Couldn't find where the items were. Walked through the store and saw about 4-6 employees standing around talking to each other, but couldn't get any help. I really like Lowe's over Home Depot. Ladies at the pickup and return desk are so rude for no reason. They were both a little older, one blonde and one with darker grey hair named Melinda. We say we are having some problems with our pickup order and they kept cutting us off acting like we're stupid. Melinda walked away from us and didn't explain how she was going to help, and started struggling with our order on her own. Just because it's been a little Hot they refuse to have the nursery gates open so you can walk in and get what material you need. You have to go all the way through the outdoor nursery purchase your items and then bring them back inside the store to pay for them it's not that hot that you can't have somebody out there at the register. And if it's too hot for them then have them sit inside the glass doors on a chair where they can watch the entrance and exit of the nursery and then come over to the register when we're ready to check out and pay but come on everybody nowadays is such a candy ass .. please do better cause I just wind up leaving and going to Home Depot their nursery is open. I've been a loyal customer of the Chino Hills Lowe's for about five years now, and I generally prefer it over the Home Depot in Pomona for one big reason: the customer service. Usually, Lowe's sets itself apart by being more attentive and welcoming. However, on my recent visit, I was a bit disappointed. I noticed that while I was browsing the hardware aisle, an employee helped other customers and passed me by multiple times without even a greeting or an offer of assistance. And throughout my visit, there was no greeting when I walked in and no "have a good day" when I left. It might sound small, but these little touches are exactly what make Lowe's stand out. Wow. The service in the paint department was incredibly slow today--Sunday, April 13th. The employee named Matt seemed completely underwhelmed but yet unable to multitask. He kept pacing around the center island, looking busy but only helping one customer at a time. It honestly felt like he was more focused on showing off his Lowe's pins and flair than actually assisting anyone. After nearly 15 minutes of waiting, I finally got a brief acknowledgment. While my paint was mixing, Matt was just glued to his phone--completely ignoring the customer behind me, who ended up walking away after being left unattended for too long. At one point, I seriously considered calling the store just to ask if someone who actually cares could come help in the paint department. read more

LOWE'S for LOWEST SERVICE PROVIDED VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and UNRELIABLE Sept 2024 - Front entry door was purchased Nov 2024 - a WRONG door was installed Feb 2025 - door ordered was NOT AVAILABLE on this scheduled date and time (7am) that was confirmed the night before. The notification of the door unavailability was received at 8:30 am. This is even after the requested weekly email update of the status of the door replacement. We had a terrible experience at Lowe's. We bought a refrigerator and paid for it. The next day, the delivery company showed up. My wife was waiting for them to call or ring the bell, but they sat in their truck for 15 minutes before finally ringing the bell. They lied and said they were knocking on the door and ringing the bell. The funny part is that I have them on camera ringing the bell once, and my wife opened the door. Then, the guy started caroling. I guess his name is Carlos. He was very rude and unprofessional. He refused to move our old refrigerator, even though we offered to pay for it. The refrigerator was in the order, and there was a note from the salesperson who took our order. Carlos and the driver told me that I don't work for Lowe's and that Lowe's can send someone to move the refrigerator. They said I'm only there to deliver and that the only way to move the refrigerator is to have it hauled away. So, I refused the delivery, which cost us money and time. Eventually, I took my money and went to Home Depot. They heard the story and offered us free relocating and free service. I only went to Lowe's because my wife worked there years ago and said it was better and nicer but now she knows better. read more

I wanted to start off my review with the fact that I have not been inside a store of any kind since April. My anxiety has been too high during Covid. With that said I needed a flashlight for late night walks with my dog. I spent hours on the phone with stores and also internet shopping. However I found that this particular Lowe's had some of the flashlights listed as in-store stock. I contacted hardware and spoke to Janine. She was so patient and nice with me. She sifted through so many flashlights to help me find a rechargeable 6 inch craftsman or similar, and we found a perfect model, the Craftsman 500 lumens. She then helped me go through the online purchase system so I could purchase this via a curbside pickup. So, I bought it all contact free, and brought it home, however it wouldn't charge. I had to call Craftsman the next day and found out it was probably defective. So I called Lowe's to return it, and guess what?? Only way to do return was to come in the store. No way, Jose. I called back Janine, and she helped me get approved to do the whole return and exchange curbside. Yay. I ended up buying a different flashlight that was not rechargeable and just used batteries, and bought a huge pack of AAA batteries, a lux-pro flashlight and then also got the same Craftsman back as a return. All done curbside. They both work great and this review is mostly done and based on great customer service. I am a very happy customer, and recommend this Lowe's store to anyone, especially those who like curbside. read more

I really like this Lowe's location. I called several stores, and this location was by far the friendliest, most helpful location. Although it's fairly far from where I live, it was really worth the drive. I came here for some hard-to-find items. I called first and spoke to a salesperson (I think her name is Lupe) that was friendly and professional. I wanted to make sure the items were in stock before I drove out to the store. When she realized that their location didn't have everything I needed, she called back and mentioned the local stores that had the last few items I needed. I don't always get this wonderful service at Lowe's, but I was so grateful to Lupe for the thoughtfulness she showed. She really went the extra mile to help me this last week. read more

Proceeded to tell me that the screws provided with the new microwave were too short. Charged me an extra $60 to modify my cabinet. They then tested the microwave. NOT HEATING. The employees here are truly superstars and experts in their field. I was trying to help my parents install a completely new water filtration device from Costco a couple weeks ago. Having zero experience in plumbing, I was moving along fine until I realized our pipes were way older than what was compatible for the device. I knew I needed some form of adapter, but didn't know what exactly. So, I took some pictures and brought some of the parts we had and I headed over to Lowe's at like 8pm. I made a beeline for the plumbing department where I found Jared. He was incredibly helpful and gave me a crash course in plumbing parts and terminology. I showed him the photos I took and he helped me find the right parts quickly. He even took the time to explain step by step what I would need to do to install it. Jared also helped me confirm that my parents cold water supply line was molded over and recommended replacing it. I was blown away by the fact that he was able to tell what size I needed just by looking at the photos I showed him. I was out of the store in minutes, and the parts I needed were way cheaper than calling in a plumber. Thank you Jared for helping me to not flood my parents kitchen! read more

I do not recommend anyone shipping at Lowe' if you want to lose your money! This store will only let you "return" your items if it has not been opened and only let you have 5 days to return it! Well, guess what?! Who returns their items when they do not even know if it works or not? They certainly do not.habe any brain cells at this store! They mostly sell cheap items here like their LG washing machine/dryers and any electronics! Do not buy anything from this store if you want to lose your money! My wife and I recently purchased a pre lit Christmas tree but when putting together realized the bottom portion did not light. We remembered there was only 1 left when we bought it and rushed back to see if it was still there. I got to Lowe's about 10-15 minutes before closing and they fortunately had the 1 left. Reggie, I believe the SM, was very helpful and did a quick exchange no problem. This is where I almost always go. I was with Home Depot for 10 years and the service got super bad there. 10 years ago I changed to Lowes. Way better service. I went in to get some items for my house in Chino on Wednesday. I didn't think the service there could get any better because it is always outstanding! Ed who works in the Contractor area was super helpful. He actually walked with me to help me find everything I needed. Then Leslie and Isabel helped me with checkout. Best service I have ever had in any retail store. Then Ed and another young man loaded up my truck. I have a hernia so you can imagine how grateful I was. Lowe's is so amazing! They really train their staff, so not only are they always extremely knowledgeable, they are happy to do it! You can walk in and literally ask any person you see and they can probably tell you what aisle something is. This is definitely NOT the case for other home improvement stores... Anyways today I was looking for an AC unit, my central unit stopped working early last night and it's suppose to be 105+ for the next week so literally all the stores are sold out of portable AC units.I have multiple animals as well as my mom who is sick so I could not, not have some form of AC and my central air warranty of course doesn't really work in Sunday's. So off I went searching for a unit when everywhere was sold out. I went to 2 Lowe's previous to calling this location. Angel took my call and told me there were a few units left and I immediately came over. There were 2 units left of the one I wanted and both boxes were pretty beat up. Angel helped me pick out the better one, helped me bring it to my car, answered all my questions, and even offered me 10% off for the damaged boxes. Ok so I'm pissed ! We ordered a washer and dryer , paid for it to be installed and these idiots that came to "install it " royally screwed up. They were rude , they rushed us , and they stormed off because they had "another installation." I want my fucking money back !! We went three days ago to order a washer and dryer and was helped out by a nice lady. However , she went to grab the materials we need to connect it, the hose , etc.. Well turns out she gave us the wrong one and the guys who came to install it wouldn't help tell us which one we needed or tell us who I can contact to fix this because we paid for installation and clearly it wasn't being installed but rather just dropped off. . They didn't install ANYTHING!!!! So then. My contractor comes this morning to help us and told us they stripped the freaking inside where the hose is suppose to connect . Lowe's Home Improvement - Inside of my car smells so good! - Home Decor Near Me - Chino Hills, California

I was so impressed with the level of service and professionalism the staff at this location showed during my last visit. I had ordered a outdoor shed online and picked up the shed. As I was assembling it over the weekend, I noticed that there were several parts missing. I went to the store to ask if I could get replacement parts. Josh from the gardening department was so helpful and friendly. He went through the trouble of opening up a box and helped me get the parts I needed. The attention to detail and friendliness was something I rarely see in big chain stores. After I got the parts I needed, I realized that I had left my instruction manual at the store. I went back to pick up it. But Josh was out to lunch. That is when Elsa stepped in. Elsa helped me try to call Josh and when she realized he would not be back for a while, she asked if I could leave my name and number for her so she could communicate with Josh to provide me with the instruction manual. Later that same day, Elsa called me back and told me that Josh found the manual and it is very her in the customer service area. This level of attentiveness to customers makes me feel very special as a customer and makes me even more comfortable shopping at Lowes. I know that I can do more DIY projects and have the staff at Lowes help me through it. read more

It's well deserved updated rating. I've been coming back to the Lowes and the irritating pushy solar panel salespeople are all gone. Thank you management for stopping this practice, they were annoying me. The main reason I returned is their competitor has all these self check out cashiers now. I know it the way of the future but I'd rather deal with a human any day. Especially since I carry a VA card and get a discount at either location but need to see a human to get the discount. So Lowes wins here. So now I'm a regular here again. I find the store clean, well stocked and organized. The staff is for the most part knowledgeable but they'll be honest with me or get me to the right person if they don't know the answer. Big plus is also the MyLowes Card, which they use partly for verifying past military services for the VA discount. Not only does getting my discount only take giving the cashier my phone number. They did verify my official documents of military service which was a simple process. My fellow veterans and I thank you for this program. I'm here at least a couple times a month. read more

What a MESS! I ordered from the 800 number a large order and was charged $85.00 for delivery. Home Depot charges $8.99. But Lowes has something that HD won't deliver and I need the materials and I cannot go out so I bit the bullet. So this morning my entire order is delivered - minus one item. I looked up the order on line to find the whole order - except that item - was delivered by the Pico Rivera store. The one item (3M Painters Tape - $16.58) was supposed to be delivered by the Chino Hills Store????? So in looking this up, I discover that I am being charged an additional $79.00 for my tape to be delivered!!! The tape is what I need the most for what I am going to be doing today and tomorrow!! I called the Chino Hills store to be told that they cannot waive that fee and that they could ship it to me for $5.99. I said that would be fine if I got it today. He said that it would be next week some time. I asked again and was politely told no. EDIT - I forgot to mention that they cancelled the order. I am not being charged for the tape or the delivery. BUT I won't get the tape until three days after the day I needed iy and had to get it from: Home Depot AND THEY ONLY CHARGE $8.99 FOR THE DELIVERY - $70.00 LESS. This is a very bad experience of non-customer friendly service. I will no longer shop at lowes. read more
