Most of the employees were somewhat rushed or mildly frazzled because it was near "closing time" and there was a contingent of at leadt 3 or 4 other customers waiting for help. However, FRANCISCO was superlative!! He graciously and patiently escorted us to a trio of different veneers we were considering, patiently answered all of our questions and even referred us to a tradesman who could assist us with the installation of our order. More people should exhibit the grace and even happiness that Francisco displayed to us, even 5mins past closing time!

10+ Years of Loyalty Dismissed Over Poor Customer Service and Lack of Integrity…read more I've been a consistent customer of Resource Building Materials for over 10 years, frequently purchasing materials for both residential and commercial projects. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was deeply disappointing and has made me reconsider ever doing business with them again. On June 4, 2025, I purchased epoxy/resin products totaling $1,821.00 for a paver protection project at my home. These products turned out to be incorrect for the job, a mistake made by the contractor I hired. Wanting to resolve the issue properly, I attempted to return the unused and sealed materials on July 1, 2025--only 27 days after purchase, well within a commonly accepted 30-day return window. I spoke with Alexis, and later her manager Diego, who both demonstrated a stunning lack of professionalism. Initially, I was told flat-out that no refunds are allowed, which was surprising considering my long-standing relationship with the company. I calmly asked them to review the disclosures printed on the bottom of the receipt, which clearly state that returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee--not a total denial of return. Once I presented the facts, they pivoted and claimed the return was being denied because the purchase was made "over 30 days ago"--again, not true. I challenged them using the original purchase date and receipt, proving that only 27 days had passed. At that point, their excuse changed again: Diego questioned how they could know if the product hadn't been left outside in the sun. I found this completely unacceptable and insulting. For the record, the product has been sitting untouched in my garage, easily visible, stacked in sealed 5-gallon aluminum buckets. I immediately recognized them as unused materials and attempted to return them before any legitimate window would expire. This felt like an intentional effort to avoid issuing a refund or store credit--completely dismissing my long history of business with them. Rather than owning up to a poorly handled situation, they chose to pass blame, make false assumptions, and contradict their own return policy. There was no accountability, no willingness to resolve the issue fairly, and no appreciation for a customer who's spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years. And for the record, I do not like to leave bad reviews whatsoever. In fact, you can check my Yelp account--I don't leave bad reviews at all. It takes a lot to push me to this point, and for me to take the time to write this, you have to piss me off at least 10 times more than normal. That's how bad it was dealing with Diego and Alexis at Resource Building Materials. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. This is not how you treat a loyal client. If this is the new standard of customer service at Resource Building Materials, I can no longer recommend them--and will be taking my business elsewhere moving forward.

After multiple trips to Home Depot involving returns of valves that didn't fit, I went to Quanex Pipe & Supply and I'm thoroughly impressed with the support I received at Quanex vs Home Depot. Though the staff at Home Depot was helpful they just didn't have the knowledge, experience, or the parts I needed. Quanex not only had multiple options of parts, Dago and Hugo each patiently explained in detail the difference between each part on how to them. They walked me through step by step on changing the stop valves and confirmed I had all the parts I needed to get the job done. They were so helpful it took me 10 mins to replace the valves once I got home. It isn't common to receive service that good nowadays... when I do receive it I want to praise it. Thank you Quanex, I hope I don't need to buy anything from you guys soon but I feel good knowing that if I do have a plumbing issue, I have a place I trust for parts and support.

Then they won't give you a price without an installer. Arizona was quite different, they show you this consistent and beautiful piece of stone for a fantastic price, but the surprise comes when you agree to purchase one of the many to be seen. They said, "those are all sold at $1560 each, but I have these for $3000 each. I compared the $1560 pieces an the $3000 pieces and no one (not even the sales rep) could tell the difference. Only the price. The rep said come back in a week and we'll have 10 additional pieces of new stock. We returned the following week and I immediately noticed the many he'd said were already sold were still on display as he brought out the new stock which barely resembled the other. The rep showed me the contract to place stone on hold which clearly stated that sold stock would be removed from the showroom floor (yet it wasn't). It's clear to me they keep the beautiful rock for viewing only, so as to bait and switch buyers either into buying the ugl/inconsistent stone or doubling the price for the other. In the contract they show they only will hold stone for 30 days, so I asked the rep to tell me how long the 12 beautiful $1560 he'd claimed were on hold had been on hold. He became perplexed and frustrated claiming the company wasn't doing anything unfair (which only confirmed that's what they were being). Arizona clearly protects their biggest buyers by hoarding the finest stones, plus they keep only the finest stones to view, not to purchase by small time customers. What a racket, sad. se
