The service was incredible. The service phone was answered by Nathan. He was courteous and professional. Talk about fast. He probably had our items to the car within 3 minutes. He showed me the items, made sure it was exactly what we purchased, asked for id to ensure the right person was picking it up, asked permission to open the hatch. Came back to the front after loading and told me thank you for shopping at Lowe's! I have NEVER had such great service at your competition. Beware appliance deliveries. Just had Lowe's delivery team pull a bait-and-switch tactic. I paid for a new stove, they delivered a damaged one (box was open, with several stickers identifying 'damaged'. The delivery driver said 'the manager said they would take 25% off' which acknowledges that they knowingly shipped a damaged product hoping I would take it. As it was unclear if manufacturers warranty would apply to a damaged product, I rejected the delivery. I promptly called the store, that then informed me they don't stock appliances, and gave me a phone number to their DC. The number was for a call center where an operator informed me the warehouse has 66 of the stoves in stock and was supprised to hear they sent me a damaged unit. They rescheduled another delivery, I'll be without a stove for another week. The call ended with a scripted line 'thanks for being the best part of lowes', which I responded 'if you bait-and-switch the best part of lowes, I'd hate to see what happens to the worst part'. read more

My husband and I were shopping in the Chico store. We happened to come upon a rug on sale that we thought we should consider for our dining space. We were unsure about the colors but when we asked the sales associate if it was returnable, he answered, "yes". The rug had an "As Is" sticker on it. Examining the rug for defects, we saw none and decided to give it a try. When we got it home, the colors clashed. We took it back within 24 hours assuming that we could get a refund on our credit card. When I got there, I was told that the rug was nonrefundable because it was marked with an "As Is" sticker. After haggling with the manager, he said that the only thing he could do was a merchandise credit. Presented with no other option, I took the merchandise credit. I called Lowe's corporate to complain that the only reason we purchased the rug in the first place was under the guidance of the sale associate that it was returnable. Lowe's customer service told me that because I accepted the merchandise credit in the store, they could not refund my money, but they would have otherwise. An "As Is" sticker is very different than a "Nonreturnable" sticker and when a sales associate tells you that merchandise is returnable, usually you trust them. The bottom line is that Lowe's refused to resolve this issue in a satisfactory manner leaving me with a merchandise credit card that I may or may not have any use for. read more

It took maybe a max of 15 minutes from pull up, email response I was there, an employee came out to car, placed in card, and I was off! Can't get much better than this with customer service! I ordered a Awoco range hood from Lowe's after my over the range microwave with exhaust fan stopped working. It was an kitchen improvement I was looking for. Everything went like clockwork after I placed the order. The hood was shipping to the store in a timely manner. The manufacturer, Awoco. even chenged the LED light from cool to warm upon my request and a $10 fee I paid to them directly. The installer came in a timely manner to do the installation. However after a few days, I got concerned as it did not seem to suck any air and when turned up to high it seem even worse. I called the installer, he told me to call Lowe's. The installer was sent back. When he was here, I suggested that the damper might be the problem... he replied that he had removed so it could not be the problem. He suggested that something was blocking the exhaust in the ducts to the outside which seems improbable since the exhaust fan from the microwave was working. Then he said the new Awoco hood was faulty and he would contact Lowe's and have them send a new one. Two weeks later after several calls with Lowe's with no exact solution or timeline for any resolution, I got frustrated and the agent on the phone put me in direct contact with Awoco, the range hood manufacturer. Upon the manufacturer suggestion, I removed the ducts above the hood in the kitchen cabinet, and guess what, the damper was still in place (lie #1) however it would not lift up when I turned hood on. The damper was stuck in its rectangular housing. I called the manufacturer back and sent him pictures. He told the damper needed to be lifted. I too a plastic knife and delicately pulled the pamper out of its housing. Problem fixed! Afterwards I called Lowe's back to explain what had happened and my frustration with the process. Their answer was to tell me that my installation warranty was now void since I had touched their installation! Upon further considerations: 1. Installations from Lowe's may not be professional - watch every step fo the process. 2. Lowe's doubled down by voiding my installation warranty. I don't care, they will not get my business back. 3. Awoco gets an A+, for a beautiful range hood + thanks for saving the day! 4. I had to get a few new parts to install the ducting back, I went to a different hardware store where they treat their customers and employees better. I'm starting to get more than a little annoyed at the girls in self checkout that yank things out of your hands to scan things. they ignore male customers and young women at checkout but assume older women don't know what we are doing. I'm here every day for my business. I know how to use the checkout and I taught your generation how to use a damn computer! Lowe's is different from Home Depot, in two obvious ways: 1. Lowe's is brighter--it's well lit while Home Depot is darker. 2. Lowe's seems to have its merchandise organized better, more like a store. Home Depot is a warehouse. But I get that Lowe's has a different model in that they're trying to cater to the DIYer of which many are women. Home Depot tries to get construction workers' business. Of course both try to woo both the construction folks and the DIYers. Take your pick, both have everything for the home and the construction site. You can't go wrong buying from either one. I bought a refrigerator with a warranty and it broke down after 2 years and I was trying to get a repairman through the warranty service Assurant. Long story short they were giving me the run around and not getting back to me when they said they would. I called Lowes and talked to the store manager named Jose. He called them and in 2 hours they contacted me and gave me a settlement for the refrigerator. I was able to use that money to buy a new one which is being delivered tomorrow, which is pretty much unprecendented. Buy it and next day delivery! So I'm writing this review on behalf of my folks, now they spent a lot of money on 2 windows and a 4 panel sliding door with that has the blinds built into the window. Prettttyyyy pricey. When it was all said and done, $6800. They put a lot of faith into Lowe's, and when it comes to Chico, their faith was put into the wrong hands. At first, before I got there they were actually pretty please with the new stuff. It looked great! It was done quickly and they were back enjoying their sunroom in no time. But when I got up there they wanted me to remodel the room, add insulation, add yet another window and wire in 5 new outlets, the fancy ones with the USB ports, for convenience, more sunshine and to keep the heat in during this upcoming cold winter. So once I took a little closer look at the expensive doors and windows I was SHOCKED to say the least. Nothing was sealed properly at all!!! Nothing. There was holes in their caulk everywhere and they had cut the top of the door, and it wasn't a good cut, one that you wouldn't see a professional do. So because I wasn't a door and window guy I consulted a professional I knew down in Sacramento. I sent him picture and he laughed! He said there was no way they could think that was correct. So we called Lowe's to fix the issues with the windows and door. Here's a list of the issues: 1. The windows stuck out about an inch from the siding on the outside and nothing was caulked. It was only sealed from the INSIDE. 2. The door wasn't sealed on the top at ALL. No caulk just wood trim(which is not waterproof) 3. Caulking was done poorly all around the door, and where the tv was hanging on the wall they refused to call behind it in case "they might cause e the tv to fall".... come on! Have these guys never had to work around anything? 4. There's was nothing between the door and the uneven cement floor except shims that we're not cut off and visible. Literally sticking out the bottom edge of one side about 2 inches. The door should be sitting on a piece of lumber not the 50 year old cracked concrete. So my folks called Lowe's and were directed to the install manager, who was on vacation of course. Gotta love that. So I went down to the store and voiced my complaints to a very RUDE and unhelpful assistant store manager who wouldn't even give me the name of the store manager. And was told there contractors are top notch even after I showed him a video of the workmanship. I honestly was taken back by the fact that he even defended it. Nonetheless waited for the install manager to comeback from vacation. When he came back he called and set up a day to come out and have a looksy. He tried to tell us that they were retrofit windows and that's how they are supposed to be sticking out that far. And the caulking was a minor issue and WE could fix it very easily. Now remember, at this time we are remodeling the room, so he knows we have the ability to fix the issues on our own. But we don't want to because it's based on the principle that someone else did this work, it's incorrect and should be held responsible and fix it. Well the contractor was willing to fix the issues as best he could when we spoke with him, and we requested he do so and we also requested part of our large sum of money for the install refunded for the mistakes. We received none of that. It was insane. They told us everything was done properly after they consulted other contractors they used for similar jobs. Welllllll now its winter and guess what? We have leaks from their "proper" work in the windows and the door to the point the door track is full of water. So I hope people In Chico and the surrounding area are reading this, IF YOU BUY WINDOWS AND DOORS FROM CHICO LOWES THEIR INSTALLS ARE LESS THAN SATISFACTORY AND THEY WILL STAND BY THEIR WORK. And you will not even get the info to the store manager because his little workers don't want him to be bothered. I've spent a lot of money at Lowe's in the bay area and I've been helped by Marcos, the store manager in Vallejo and he was more than helpful and pleasant to be of service. He made sure I had a good experience and would come back! And I will. Thanks to him. I'll be posting pics and videos of the issues in an update to this post when I get home. However today I placed multiple orders at 800 this morning and I went to pick up one of the orders at 330 because I was told via email that it was ready and I got there and it was not ready. I had to go inside the store because I was calling at curbside and nobody answered then I went into the store and there were so many people in there not wearing masks and not social distancing it was horrible so then I asked if I could go wait in my car for my order and it took 30 minutes for them to bring out the order that I had ordered three days ago and didn't even bring the order that I ordered this morning. This is a review of Lowes delivery and customer service and a warning to anyone considering buying an appliance or anything you will have delivered to your home. Lowes has very poor communication and they send you a text that says your item is on the way, but they don't alert you if there has been an issue that will delay delivery. I waited the 4-hour time frame and then an additional hour, I called numerous times because they put me on hold for 5-10 minutes and then dropped the call. Finally I got someone in customer service (ha!) who told me that my item was "in transit" and that's all she could say. The following day I spoke with another person, a manager apparently, after being on hold for another 10 minutes. He said my item needed to be on a small truck, not a large one due to where I live. Ok, why didn't delivery figure that out so I could get my item on time? I just shake my head. If you like being on hold and having your time wasted, order from Lowes. read more

Reading some of the reviews, it looks like I am in shared company. This place is a disaster. 1. Purchased a fridge on Friday at the store and told it was in stock and delivered on Sunday. "You will get a call on Saturday to provide the time" 2. Cool. Received the call on Saturday and told it would be delivered between 9am and 330 pm on Sunday. Perfect. Cleaned the old fridge out and put frozen goods aside. 3. Sunday came. At about 130 pm we decided to check on delivery. Spoke to Jose who said the fridge was never in stock. "Sorry no one called you".... 4. Needless to say, we were a little "PO'd". Went to the store, they offered us another fridge, smaller than we wanted, we said OK can you deliver now, we have food melting. 5. Jose said, Nope, drivers load trucks at 9am. Short of it. We cancelled our order. Food was melting anyway. Probably go to Best Buy or Home Depot. They are too many choices in the market today to have to deal with bad service......Not sure why we go there. We replaced our medium grade 17 year old carpet with "higher" quality in 2012. The very next year it developed buckles in several places. Lowe's sent the installer out to stretch it. We assumed that would be the end of the carpet woes. Sadly...no. Since then it's buckled more, despite the fact that nothing has changed in our house climate/humidity wise. Lowe's claims it's somehow our fault despite the fact that we had NO problems with average quality carpet for 17 years. They have come out to stretch several areas 3 times now. The problems continue with terrible service. Calls are not returned, and they are hoping that it will all just "go away". When we contact the higher ups, we are just directed back to the local flooring manager, who has been playing hide and seek with us. We just want our money back or replacement of what we think is faulty carpet. Lesson learned...we will go local next time and patronize businesses that actually CARE if they get your dollars. We had a problem with interior paint from Lowe's, and to be fair, play took the time to explain what the problem probably wise and still stood behind the paint, replacing what I had used and included premium rollers to help move the project forward. We always go to Lowe's now when we need a hardware item. They are close to our Chico business and they are respectful to us. We used to go to another store, but one day we went in and bought some things and they refused to give my husband a military discount, even though he is a Vietnam War Veteran and has the identification to prove it. Later we went in to Lowe's and asked them if they gave a military discount and they said YES! It wasn't just the military discount that soured me on the other store and made me want to shop at Lowe's - it was the nasty attitude the clerk had in the first store towards my husband. I wanted to roll her head out on the surface of the check stand. But when we got to Lowe's they treated my husband with the respect he deserves and gladly gave him the discount. It wasn't the money - it was the attitude and we really appreciated the treatment we were shown at Chico Lowe's. Ever since then we switched over completely and I started shopping there. It is very, very convenient to purchase online and go pick up items in store the same day. Their website is easy to use. Their employees are friendly and helpful. So we've bought all sorts of hardware and household items there, including a dishwasher this week, and are treated very well. read more

Horrible store I asked for a manager and spoke to Jen she told me she would follow up with me and give me a call back regarding issues I am having with an install I purchased for an appliance I never received my call back and this is after I had to call and speak to her twice. That is absolutely terrible management and customer service I set up an early install a month ago due to the fact I work nights they will absolutely not work with your schedule because they are extremely late. they didn't even know what microwave I purchased and had to call and ask me they also said I didn't pay for it when I clearly did and I have a receipt which Is why I called in the first place to have this sorted out. Do NOT buy any kind of flooring from this store. We tried getting carpet. We even purchased it. What a joke! 8-10 weeks to install it. We canceled order and went with Big Foot Carpet where we received excellent fast installation a week later. Our friends have been waiting "months" to get wood type floor installed. Had an install date of Monday 8/23/21 (2 days ago). No one has the professionalism to call and tell them they weren't coming Monday or today. Wasted days off work. My friends called Lowe's.... Absolutely NO HELP. They called the installation business. After waiting on the line for a very long time, the company hung up on my friends. Lowe's claims it's not their fault. Here is my experience: The tool is not available in any local retailer. So I looked online. The options seem to be Amazon.com, Home Depot, Lowe's, or any number of online tool retailers that I don't know from Adam. I ordered it from Lowe's. It was $10 more than from Amazon but I wanted to be able to walk into the store to make a return (just in case) rather than pay freight to return something that is over 100" long. Several days after placing the order, I get a notice that the anticipated arrival date will be moved back 1 week. So much for the weekend that I planned to use it. I already have time invested in this shipment so I do not cancel the order. I am promised by a customer service rep that I would see some sort of compensation should I encounter any further delays (stay tuned to see if this happens). I was then emailed with shipping and tracking info that was all wrong. I called Lowe's and they couldn't even tell me which shipping service was being used, let alone the accurate tracking number. I should get a call within 3 business days to clarify. 3 business days later, no call. I called Lowe's and was told it should arrive 1 day after the most recent estimate. Not too bad. At least it will finally arrive. The saw and 2 tracks arrive via UPS Freight (arriving as 3 separate items). The 102" track has been bent about 30 degrees (and with some twist) about 2-3 feet from one end... so that's destroyed. (By the way, it was only in a cardboard sleeve without any other obvious protection) The saw and other track, despite some rips in cardboard packaging, seem to be ok. The driver suggests I refuse delivery of the long track but doesn't see a problem with accepting the other 2 components. So that's what I do. I can actually get started with what I have and can wait a bit longer for the 102" track. I called Lowe's to report the issue. I should have refused all delivery, they tell me. I will have to bring the rest of it in to local Lowe's, they say. Then they can ship another one to me and I should have it within 3 weeks (hopefully). So I bring up the issue of the promised compensation. "Oh, hmmm... I will have to talk to someone and get back to you". "I'm getting back to work. Please email me with whatever you find out." I also suggested that, since the 102" track is sold separately, that they just ship me one of those and let me keep the saw and short track. Problem solved, right? Oh, no. Not possible. They are a kit... a package deal. Can't do that. Email arrives. Same plan: just return the other 2 parts. We can then send you a new one once we have the old one back. You're now out several weeks that you can't get back, and by the way, no compensation for the trouble (despite the CS rep swearing on his dead hamster's grave that they would make amends in such a situation). I contacted the local UPS freight warehouse and the lady there (Sierra, super helpful) went up the chain with Lowe's and says she was able to arrange for me to receive a new long track and I can keep the other functional pieces. It should be shipped in a couple days. Call Lowe's back in 2 days to confirm. 3 days later, I get a call. Guess what: they will NOT ship me a replacement for the damaged piece (surprised?). I have to get the damaged piece back from UPS and return all 3 pieces to the local store. They tell me I can have 10% off the order. That seems like a drop in the bucket for this much trouble. I asked the CS rep if he would find that reasonable if he were in my shoes (he didn't say yes). I suggest 25% is more reasonable. They declined. I return the pieces for a full refund. After half an hour of wrestling his computer, the local store employee just gave me cash back for my online purchase. And all it cost me was a month. read more

I got transferred around to 5 different employees and at least three managers, none of whom could help me. I tried calling the store many times and was hung up on Every single time. I used to like it better than the other big box but now home depot will get all of my business. The grip: A machine mis-performed at their auto-checkout. I was paying cash and had already put in a single dollar when it locked up. The overseer who was pleasant and concerned handled the purchase at his register and called his supervisor about the malfunction.
