I never really liked Lowe's until I got a house of my own. Now that I am a homeowner, this place is one my favorite places to go. I have always been able to receive help from staff when needed, and sometimes when I didn't realize I did. I like the layout of this store, as well. I can even look items up online and know where to find them in the store. This has been very beneficial to me when I want to have a quick trip and not peruse. I know some people prefer "the other guy" but Lowe's is my store and I plan on sticking with them. read more

If there was a way to give a negative number I would. My family and I have been loyal Lowes shoppers for many years. Today- though I am disabled - I decider to go to Lowe's on my own. customer service has always been great there so I didn't expect any trouble. Something had happened!! I needed items from three different sections of the store. I picked up what I could and went to check out. By this time I was starting to really hurt because of being on my feet. I was told I had to go back to the garden center to check out because I had a shovel and needed bags of topsoil. but that I had to go to the other end of the store to get my plywood. I made it to the other end and the cashier pointed to a different buggy and then pointed to where the plywood was. I asked was there no one to helo me and she pointed again. I was so upset I left my buggy there and left the store. My family and I spend thousands of dollars at Lowe's every year. NO MORE!! I am very upset. I will drive farther and pay more if it means I never have to go back to Lowe's. read more

The guy in paint was an MVP today! He hooked me up with my paint, a roller, and a spray can of Kilz in a matter of minutes. In fact, I just finished my painting project and I had everything I needed. The cashier was competent enough to get me checked out in a reasonable amount of time. On a side note- I have NO interest in using the self-checkout. Stop trying to force me into using it. I had to decline twice today. I avoid it and will not use it. If I ever get interested in it I will change careers and become a cashier. Until then I will go to a cashier. read more

Quick get to Lowes before this special is over! act now and purchase 1 refrigerator and you can pay for 3! I ordered a refrigerator from Lowes that was "IN STOCK". The day before our scheduled delivery, I get an update email stating the shipping has been moved up and will arrive that day. Fast forward 2 hours, the old barely functioning refrigerator was empty, disconnected and ready. I get a phone call from a lady with Lowes that claimed the refrigerator was not in stock and on back order, they had no date for delivery. No mention of the email stating the exact opposite was mentioned. When I brought it up, she stated their was nothing she could do about that and I should contact the store. There was the first problem. Store Manager Laton Johnson got involved and seemed to resolve the issue with another refrigerator that actually was a bit nicer. That refrigerator was delivered as promised except it didn't fit. It was left at my house as a "loaner" while the issue was resolved, it never was until I called the store manager again, he assured me it would be handled and after over a week of having to contact him multiple times to get an answer the new fridge showed up, but they didn't have notice of a pick up, so now we have two fridges in the house. Another call to Laton and a pick up was arranged. Now they arrive to pick it up and have yet another refrigerator to bring in, I explained that this was a mistake and called Laton again, I wanted to ensure I wasn't going to be charged for 3 refrigerators due to their error, he assured it was already handled and he was "only billing for two" as a joke. Well now I just got off the phone with the CC company stating nothing has been done and the bill is due in the amount of 3 refrigerators totaling over $3000. At this point Lowes and their store manager won't return calls or emails. I gathered Laton wasn't going to be of any help so I asked for the contact information for corporate to which I got a response of the customer service number that hasn't been of any assistance since the beginning. I posted 2 reviews during this process and received a phone call miraculously within minutes both times. I took the review down as good faith gesture but clearly that was a mistake. This location and their store manager Laton Johnson will mislead you after faults of their own, lie to your face and when you call him on it, simply disappear. Laton, please get somebody who can truly help resolve this issue to reach out this time, you've been "handling" it for 2 months and its done nothing but get worse. What has happened to Lowe's and their appreciation of Veterans? The last couple of times I've been to Lowe's (Concord Mills, University, and Concord Parkway) it's been a hassle. They have eliminated many products you can use your Veteran discount on, have to show your license and Military even though you completed all the info online to receive this discount. Lowes used to be my go to for all home needs but not anymore. They obviously don't value the Veteran business anymore by taking away the discount on common products you use most for home improvements. Before you take the time to sign up for Military discount read the list of items that are no longer included and see if it's worth your time. Home Depot is now my go to. read more

Starters I was there for a toolbox and make a key it took for me to ask someone at the rental tool area waited 23 min to get help key was made there was no one in tool area I had to ask mr jerry at paint to help me he helped me look we couldn't find it than he paged for help it took 43 min to even have someone approach us but still was no help than the manager supposed to help but had no keys and no knowledge of the product finally jerry and I found it than it took for jerry supervisor Rob to go get a key and help unlock and they both where great help no way it should take over an hour to get one tool box especially from an associate who don't work that department I'm thankful for jerry help and rob assistance at end because if not I'm sure I would have been there for over 2 hours which is ridiculous read more

This is not my local Lowe's but I needed a certain retainer block to finish a project and my local Lowe's was out of stock. This Lowe's was very busy with long lines at every register and customer care. I ordered the blocks online for pickup. I found an associate, Dan, who kindly helped me by finding the only certified forklift driver and arranging my block pickup. He made sure I was all set to go and gave me directions to the pick up point. I appreciated he also made conversation about my project while we waited, it made me feel a little less awkward. I didn't catch the forklift drivers name but she was very friendly as well, and John loaded my blocks in- 70 of them one at a time- and he was kind and friendly as well! Thanks to the team for their positivity during these strange times and also on a very busy and chaotic day at their store. read more

So we all know that I almost never give 5 stars but let me tell y'all that Ann at Lowe's deserves it! I went to this store for 7 days in a row for my new household items. I needed blinds, lights and a host of other things. The first on the list are the blinds. My house needed so many because I have boucou windows! Here is where I meet Miss Ann. Southern hospitality at it's best and let me tell you she worked with me. I needed so many and did not have all the info and then was quite lost on the brand because I wanted to spend as less as possible due to my house being a rental. I had all my measurements and wanted to get the windows treated immediately. Ann helped me look for all the sizes I needed and also advised me on how to get them how I needed them. There were two brands, the cheap brand and Levolor. Levolor can be cut to order but the SS brand cannot. She understood that I wanted cheap and got me all the cheapest I could for what I needed. And then she advised me on getting the cut to order because of my need to have them covered as soon as possible. Bet. So we get to choosing and cutting and looking and putting the picture together. We get down to the last unit needed and there aren't anymore in the store!! Oh my goodness!! But we got it done. She advised me to come to the store the next day to make sure that they did not have it in and she would do her best to find what she what I needed. Bet. So I take the blinds home and they fit perfectly with the exception of one lone ranger. The 271/4 that I needed I forgot to get one and had to return what I had. I also forgo that I had to keep one and goodness created mess. Miss Ann was so accommodating and advised me that she would get me taken care of. Get this! She called me to tell me that the blind I needed was at a store near one of her coworkers and he would pick it up for me and bring it to my store. EVEN THOUGH SHE WOULD BE OFF THE NEXT TWO DAYS! What life! What service! What a woman!!!!! I am so enamored of her and grateful for her assistance and expertise. I will always come to this Lowe's just for Miss Ann and the ancillary staff. This location never has enough employees. We walked in for a few items and waited for about 20 minutes in the checkout line because they only had two registers open. When it was finally our turn to check out the lady at the register didn't know how to operate the register correctly or how to input a coupon. We waited an additional 10 minutes, the "manager" came over and had no idea how to use a coupon. He went to get another "manager" again who had no idea, instead of trying to scan the coupon they told us we weren't buying the correct product which we clearly were. They began arguing over a simple coupon so we decided to leave and go to Home Depot where we had no issues. We will exclusively shop at Home Depot for all future home improvement purchases. read more

I never write bad reviews because nothing ever happens but it is needed in this instance. So we have bought a fridge, an oven, a range, dishwasher and a washer/dryer set. Then installers for the ovens, dishwasher and range were wonderful. The washer/dryer was a completely different story. We are on 3 different deliveries right now and we still don't have the washer/dryer. The first time it was the wrong one, the second time they only delivered the washer and did not have the dryer nor could they find the dryer. Also, they did not have the removal of the old washer and dryer. Now we are getting a completely different set and we got a whopping 10% off. I will never use Lowes again. read more

A horrible, horrible experience. We replaced our carpets and my husband and I carefully selected the carpet style and color we wanted from Lowes at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, NC. After waiting about 3 weeks the installers came this Tuesday and when I came home after work I immediately realized it was not at all the carpets we chose when we were in the store. The wrong carpets were installed and when my husband went to our local Lowes at the Northlake Mall where he was told the carpets we wanted were not available and will not be available for months. Lowes then decided to pick a carpet WITHOUT TELLING OR CONSULTING US and have it installed. Their REASON was that our choice was not available as it was made in Canada and it was about 3 months out. I'm angry, appalled, upset and so disappointed! The person we worked with at Lowes (I just know his name is Rudy), offered my husband a $500 discount which added to my anger! He then said we can pretend an accident happened (I have no idea what this meant) and when our choice of carpet becomes available they will come to install it. I want someone from Lowes to contact me because I'm so upset I cannot even look at the carpets. What did we pay for? Did we pay for our original choice or did we pay for what was installed? This is OUTRAGEOUS. We own a business and we will not even think of replacing what customers bought with something of our own choice! In what universe does this happen??? I am disgusted by Lowes and also the reaction of the person we worked with. FOLLOW UP. So LOWES decided that they are not going to do anything - I just talked to a manager who REFUSED to discuss the issue. Just after Lowes installed THE WRONG CARPET my husband went to the store and someone said they will give us a $500 refund. A person said the original carpet we CHOSE was out of stock and made in Canada so they installed what they had available. Today a really SNOTTY and RUDE manager told me they are not moving forward and we are stuck. She actually said WE CHOSE this and they installed what we chose which is a bold faced lie. She also hanged up on me and refused to discuss the issue. I asked her what the case number or reference number was and she pretended not to understand or to give me the info. We paid for a carpet Lowes decided to install and NOT what we chose. THEY LIED about us choosing the carpet that was installed - why would they offer a $500 refund and why did they say it was out of stock and that they would pretend an accident happened? Tried to run a quick errand to pick up pine needles. We paid for the bales. We waited. I called customer service who said someone will be right there and even spoke face to face with two employees standing around talking near the garden center. I asked nicely if they could please help, but was told, "It will be a few minutes." After 25 minutes, we gave up. We went to returns, got a refund and left. Went to Lowe's for some stone patio pavers. I needed 35 and the employee offered to grab the fork lift to take the entire pallet to my car and unload straight into my car. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Keven and James were both great! I was greeted by other friendly staff members. Definitely will be using this store more for my home needs. read more

This location has the best service by far compare to all the home improvement store in the area including all the other Lowe's & home depot. I have had great experience multiple times. First when I was shopping for refrigerator when I didn't had good service with Concord Mills location of Lowe's so I decided to check out this location. I guess I was right, what a difference in service. I entered the store and I was greeted with big smile. Than I entered the appliance area and I was reached by a rep who help me pick out exactly what I was looking for and when I said I need to check price, she gave me twenty percent off the price. She even told me that if I find a lower price with in thirty days, she would give me ten percent off the matched price. She even rushed my delivery for free when she found out that my refrigerator was not working. Second, when I was re-doing my shower, I need to buy couple of items so I showed up here and come to find out, even though they had item in stock as per their computer system, they couldn't find it in store so they asked me to go to the other store. I said, I wanted to use that 10% off coupon and if I use it here for the other items, I wouldn't be able to use it at the other store. So, the manager just gave me 10% off with out using my coupon and they called up the other store to bring that item up front so all I had to do was go there and check out. What a difference in service. This is what I call excellent service. read more

This has been my go to hardware/home improvement store since moving to this side of town 13 years ago. It is one of the older Lowes in the area but is well kept and clean. The staff over the years has been consistently above average. I do prefer Lowes to Home Depot, not sure really why other than I usually receive good service at Lowes as opposed to other chains. And yes Lowes is one of the big box stores that help kill the mom and pop hardware stores, but at least they offer good prices and decent service. read more

Just wanted to stop in for 3 thing fertilizer lime and seed. The guy ringing us out could not get the seed to ring up so I offered to walk back over and get the item number for the cashier. I came back with the number and the cashier had moved on to the next customer I had to come back and get in line again to purchase my items and after a long wait while he assisted the other customer I finally got frustrated and left the store. This has been my 'go-to' store for the past 8 years and I wanted to add this well-deserved review. The customer service here is A-1, simply put. The ambience is reminiscent of those family owned & operated hardware stores from the 1970's. Home Depot (by comparison) is 'commercial' and 'austere,' Ryan (the store manager here) has excellent communication skills and product knowledge, and possesses a genuine southern hospitality. This is my favorite Lowe's of all time. I had to make a huge purchase yesterday. Supplies for new fence, new stone patio, and paint for the whole house. Everyone in each of these department was very helpful and sincere. They help us with estimates, tips and delivery options. The Cashier was super patient with us even though we had three carts when checking out and she had to ring it three different times because of a computer glitch. I bought a freezer at Lowes on Wednesday, Sept. 27 and it was supposed to be delivered on Thursday the 28th. I waited all day and finally got a call that it was not in stock and couldn't be delivered until Mon. Oct. 2. It was supposed to be delivered today between 1 and 3. I called and was put on hold for 20minutes only to be told the delivery person would call. Two hours later I get a call and it hadn't even been put on the truck but they were going to bring it tonight. I am tired of unloading and reloading the old freezer at this point. The employee working in the department knew absolutely nothing about it and seemed bothered by me looking for more information. I had my 2 year old daughter with me who he was very rude to her. If I could give ZERO STARS I WOULD. I have been a customer of Lowes since 02. I was about to purchase a dishwasher, installation and a extended plan. After speaking with the 866-678-2761 and setting everything up I was told my total was $589. The agent, who I spoke with named John was very nice and took all my information correctly. He got me to the store (Store #0408) who was going to process the order using my Lowes advantage card. The person at the store was rude, no customer service experience at all. No hello how you doing are anything. When processing the order they said they could only give me 6 months No interest. I had just left the store before coming home to place the order and saw 12 months No interest on appliances over $299. The rude agent at the store then came back and said could not get 12 months no interest since the dishwasher was $296 not $299. So lowes you have missed out on a almost $600 sale for $3. And I am about to close my lowes credit card account . Dont go to this store at all. Terrible Customer Service. I will be writing a letter to corporate. read more

Went here the other day looking for some moving straps. I thought they'd be in the tool section. I wasn't greeted at the door nor was I greeted as I waited for the associates talking in the tools section. I did interrupt their conversation to ask for help as I didn't know where the straps were. Wilan was great and immediately told me where he thought I might find them. The other guy seemed annoyed that I had interrupted them and went on to ignore completely. I guess I was being rude for asking for help, but I did need assistance. I could've sworn I was a customer in there store. I couldn't find them in the section Wilan had directed me to and found myself walking back and forth until I decided to ask another associate back in appliance and plumbing section who seemed annoyed that I was even talking to him. I'm not sure what is going on in this store, but the last few times I've gone here it's been a bad experience of some kind. Please train your associates better. We are the customers choosing to come into your store. Be more helpful and attentive and don't try to dodge helping customers. It's your job to help the customers. I'm a regular customer that come in 3-4 times a week if not more and none of this is acceptable. read more

I'm someone who holds emotions well and never leaves negative feedback; however, I am completely appalled by the behavior of this store's employees. I'd give this location zero stars if I could. My husband and I stopped in this Lowe's Saturday evening (03/25/2017) to shop for a new range and garage shelving units, and we received no acknowledgement or help whatsoever! It is inexcusable to see a group of employees grouped together having a lengthened casual conversation and then dispersing without a single word to us upon our entry into the appliance department. As we brushed it off and continued on to look over the selection of ranges for a good 10 minutes or so, there was not an employee who came over to assist us. When we finally found one that caught our attention, the lone employee "servicing" the area completely ignored us and headed over to another customer just entering the appliance department, avoiding eye contact with us altogether. I silently shook my head in disbelief and refused to purchase the range at this location, so my husband and I left the appliance department and headed to the garage shelving area. When we found the shelving unit that matched our existing, there appeared to be no more stocked on the floor. My husband managed to track down an employee who walked over to the aisle. When I asked him if the store had anymore in stock, as the shelf was empty, the employee tapped his name tag and said, "I don't know ma'am. I work in the flooring area." I asked if he can get someone to check and see if there were any in stock, and he continued to tell us he only worked in the flooring area. I calmly told my husband I was done with this store and its horrible service, and I walked off. I'm not sure if the employee provided any assistance thereafter, but it was already too little too late. While I understand the departmental structure of the retail industry and area/category specific training amongst the employees, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Needless to say, I will never shop this Lowe's store ever again. I will gladly take my business to another location, a location that will not judge me based on my appearance or their perception of my ability to afford basic household goods, but instead treat me as a typical customer. read more

Our landlord ordered the largest side-by-side refriderator. The delivery guys Mike and Josh had to get the fridge up a flight of stairs with no room to turn it onto the main floor. They lifted it over the rail and didn't scratch any paint, woodwork or damage any hardword floors. They were happy and positive the entire time. They were the best! I favor Lowes over Home Depot, but usually shop at the Albemarle Road store. I am building a good sized shed and am buying materials a little at a time due to budget. Several times I have called the Albemarle Road Lowes and asked them to pull lumber for me (usually 12 to 16 boards) to have them ready when I got off work. They have always been very helpful and willing to do this. A couple of days ago, I was coming from a different direction and called the University Lowes at Chancellor Park. The person from lumber answered and when I asked him to pull 16 2x6x12 boards, he said not until I paid for them. I did not argue, but just hung up and called back and asked for the manager. I asked him if this was policy and he said no, they would be happy to pull them for me. When I arrived after work, I realized I had made a big mistake. My lumber was pulled, but 10 out of the 16 boards were the worst I have seen. The guy obviously went out of his way to pull all the culls he could find. I ended up pulling my own boards. Whatever happened to customer service. Does this guy not realize there are 50 people begging for his job? What is his job, anyway? Does customer service not mean anything? I am not faulting the manager. He was very nice and obviously went and told the guy to pull them. Anyway, there should be some good boards there because I think he pulled all the culls for me. read more
