But walk through that door and its like the Tardis from Dr. Who. The store really opens up into multiple rooms each with their own treasures to be found. Then out back there is a garde. And green house. They have chili pepper plants the likes of which I don't think I will ever see again! I swear the jalapeno plant was nearly as tall as me. And that is not an exaggeration. It was massive. Like a spicy tree. It was seriously impressive. Anyhow, there was also a "volunteer" plant just outside the back door that had tiny red peppers on it. Nobody seemed to know the variety but said they were too too hot. Maybe Tobasco peppers they thought. I started talking to them about my own home garden and how I struggle with tomato and pepper blossoms not sticking around long enough to produce fruit. They told me about something called "Blossom Set." I would have bought some there but it was greater than 3 ounces and I had to fly home. What I did buy was a bottle of scuppernong juice. Funny name for a native grape with a delicious flavor. A little more tart than standard grapes. I had been wanting to try scuppernongs and that did the trick. My only regret here is that I don't live anywhere near Renfrow's and could not biy as much I really wanted to. If I was a local, this would likely me a regular stop on my weekend errands.

I purchased a Predator 3500 inverter generator in November 2024. Ran it every 90 days as directed…read moreusing correct fuel with stabilizer. Used for first time in July 2025 during an extended power outage. Ran for about an hour before engine quit with the yellow CO detector lit. I did not have an extended warranty so I purchased a replacement ignition/CO module from Amazon. Inverter started up after installation and ran fine without load for 30 minutes. Fingers crossed that it will run for extended period during next Duke Energy outage.

I've been going to this Lowe's for close to 20 years and overall I think it's a good store. I usually have a pleasant experience when I need help however, it is rare that I need help. I usually know what I need, go in and grab it, use self checkout and go. The one thing they can never seem to get right is the online order pickups. I have never had a good experience at this location with picking up an online order. Every time I show up to pick up an order I have to wait and usually hunt someone down for help. The people at the returns desk, right in front of the pickup area, are usually no help with what's going on. I go to other Lowe's and this doesn't seem to happen.

Nothing special mentioned at time of order. When the fridge arrived, delivery was scheduled. When the "pro's" arrived, they were mystified as to how they were going to remove the old 48" fridge. Not until they unboxed the new fridge did they realize pulling out the old one was NOT the only 48" fridge they'd be dealing with today. Somehow, the head "pro" walked into our home, looked at the fridge, didn't realize we were replacing the unit with another identically sized unit, returned to the truck, unloaded and pulled all of the protective materials off the new unit and THEN realized he was unable to BOTH remove or replace our fridge. They left the new fridge in the driveway and informed me that we would have to call someone else to remove and install the fridge. Myself, my wife and our teenage daughters push/slid the fridge into the garage and began the process of finding another installer. End of story. Lowe's was ultimately let down by every single employee who touched this situation.

I didn't realize it but the perlite had a slash on the bottom and had been taped up. I didn't realize til I was putting it in my car and didn't have time to return it at that moment. I will be returning it because who knows how much of the perlite is gone from the bag. Overall the store was nice and clean but the house plants were in odd locations and I had to search for them.
