I had never heard of this place before. I stopped in to browse some end tables. The prices were competitive on certain items like television and dining room furniture. It is certainly more cost-efficient than Furniture Row, but closer in prices to Ikea. I have yet to order anything, from here, so I can not speak to the quality of the items. Where this store really stands out is in terms of novelty items... They have arcades style games to create a home arcade. Home work out equipment and gorgeous kitchen appliances. Shout out to the hardest working young sales representative in the area, Da'Kari. With energy, transparency and personality to spare... This sales superstar is a professional pleasure to work with. I have read some of the other reviews here, but I didn't experience any of those shady tactics with our Salesperson. read more

very cheap furniture, we bought our furniture around 2 years ago and it is terrible... first no padding on arms of couch and second the couch cushions are wavy from the foam/ layer of batting....so take my advice and go somewhere else... it's only me and my husband so there is no way it should look like this! Like I can't myself buying living furniture from here ever, it's just not my style. However, they do have some great options for appliances. Sales, as with most companies, was courteous and friendly and did their best to ensure my transaction was smooth. Delivery was prompt and thorough. The overhead microwave installation they handed off to a 3rd party service provider who called me between 3-5 times a day for a confirmation. This minor inconvenience was nothing compared to waiting a whole day for the service person with no updates until well after the expected and agreed upon time had passed. I called and was transferred 5 times with no solution in sight. I wish I hadn't picked Conn's for this kitchen upgrade. read more

I will never patronize this company again. Bought a recliner in September 2021 and 3 months later it looks like we've had it for years. There's discoloration on the head and arm rests, but I wasn't too concerned because we had a warranty. Well, I was wrong! There has been so much miscommunication it's ridiculous. At first the warranty company said they could fix it then they came back and said no but they would provide us with a "store credit", that has an expiration date by the way. Usually a store credit can be used to purchase whatever you want but not in this case; the credit can only be used towards a recliner, so essentially it's an exchange. Given that Conns furniture is typically overpriced, we're going to have to pay additional money to get a new chair. The warranty policy is a joke. read more

The biggest reason people have problems with their company is there is always a mistake but they don't take credit for it, you are always late or in my case a missed payment my bank records say different but if they put it in the computer your credit takes a hit, they don't care or will they change so never again will I or anyone I know buy from Conns read more

This specific store! Do NOT waste your money here! About 10 days ago I went and got a recliner for about $60 a month, well no it was $200 a month. The recliner was $899. We called today to just pay it off, almost $1300. The financing bank they use are Soo rude! Refused to even put a manager on the phone! My husband had gotten a cordless vacuum, it was squealing and he called to tell them he would be bringing it back, $75 restocking fee on a broken item! If you do go there, read allll of the fine print and don't just let them put that tablet in your hand to push buttons, they will get you for wayyyy more than they initially tell you! We received terrible customer service at the store from a young associate that had zero urgency or appreciation for our business. Furthermore, he communicated that the product was in stock at the warehouse just 15 minutes away. We later found that the warehouse was 35 minutes away and was nearing closing time. The next day we set our pickup time at 1130am and showed up in time. 1.5 hours later, we were driving away with our products as they only had two dock associates working on a Sunday and couldn't keep up with the volume of 3 customers there at once. read more

I've had my 2 pieces of $3,000+ really nice looking recliner sofas for 6 months...so soft and comfy, but one side of the cup holders sounds like it cracked just now.... FIRST, WE NEED TO BE GIVEN AN OPTION OF NO STARS INSTEAD OF HAVING TO GIVE 1!! I purchased a fridge from Conn's a couple years ago and had a wonderful experience so when I needed a cook top I went to the store. I purchased a cooktop and decided on a sound bar, but was not told that I was also getting some unneeded speaker to go along with it. I signed paperwork digitally and was told my cost was $750.00 for the cooktop and $800.00 for the sound bar. I still owed some on my fridge, but today my balance is over $6,000. I am not sure how in the world my balance has got to this, the fridge was only a little over $2,000 when I purchased it. I refuse to pay any on this bill and have emailed and text multiple times telling Conns that this was not right and that I was being overcharged. I truly believe that I was "conn'd" by Conns. I was not given any paperwork at time of purchase and was told it would come in the mail. This is when I suspect totals were changed on my paperwork as I never bought anything that was anywhere close to $6,000. I don't expect anything to come of this, I truly expect this to continue to get higher. Please do not trust anyone here, please make sure they give you paperwork before you leave and DO NOT trust that they will mail it to you. The unfortunate thing is I will still be screwed over by Conns as my credit has suffered tremendously, but Conn's doesn't care. No one has reached back out to me except to send me a document that I know was not the correct total as I DID NOT purchase anything more than a $750 cooktop and an $800 soundbar. Good job screwing your customers. I purchased a TV from this store ($2200), along with a dining room set ($2,100) and a couch ($2650). Upon receiving my Kurby couch, the sectional part was dented in. I called customer service & they sent a repair man to "fix" the dent in the couch. Obviously after further review the couch had to be replaced... Replacing it was easy but they sent another couch and now this one was ripped... (I just gave up with the couch it was a rip that I was able to sew back together) which seems a bit ridiculous based on how much I paid for it whatever... The TV went black after the second day. I called, and once again... the had to sent a repair man to repair a 85" TV. Whatever I knew the process due to the issue with the couch so I waited. they sent pieces to my home to repair it. After waiting a week for the pieces to arrive, another 2 weeks pass & they called me and told me just to go into the store and order a replacement (they never step one foot in my home after the initial visit where the pieces were ordered so why didn't a replacement get issued right then and there?) . I get to the store and the store manager KEITH claimed to have put my order in for delivery on October 1st. & assured me that I was all set. The 1st came... NO TV. I called the store (store #186) and another manager named SAM assured me she was going to fix the issue and call me back with an update, never heard from her again. I kept calling to speak to her to figure out whats going on and she refuse to answer the phone like a cat. Now they're telling me (Keith, the store manager) that since the TV has been paid off they are unable to send a replacement. I ordered my TV for Fathers day as a gift and it is now October 13th and I still don't have a functioning TV. I will NEVER in my life spend another penny at Conns. June 28, 2021 About a month ago, My husband purchased a Samsung washer and dryer brand new, still in the box. When the items were unpacked and installed, the dryer worked, BUT NOT the washer. We had to wait for a repairman to come out over a week later. The repairman told my husband that he had to order a "mother board". A week later another repairman came out, and discovered that the first repairman ordered the wrong "mother board". Therefore the "mother board" had to be ordered again. A week later the "mother board" was installed. The washer still needs to be repaired as now it needs a "seal". My husband talked face to face with the salesman as to what was happening. He had been trained that when something is not working it would be replaced, no questions asked. But when the salesman talked to the Manager of the Repair Dept., he was told that they have to try at least three times before giving a replacement. Samsung refuses to replace the washer unless after three times they are unable to fix or repair it. This is not good customer service. If an item doesn't work after being taken out the box, IT SHOULD BE PLACED. No questions asked. It's going on a month and we still can't wash clothes. This is VERY UNACCEPTABLE. Since the washer was defected straight out of the box, who's to say that we want have more problems down the road. I will not buy, or recommend that any of my family or friends purchase anything from Conn. About two years ago we purchased a recliner, reclining loveseat and sofa from Conn. Have had trouble with the recliner every since. A repairman was suppose to come out and as of today I have not heard from Conn. I truly feel that this is BAD BUSINESS practice and it should be corrected immediately. I told my husband that he mad a BAD DECISION when he decided to purchase a washer and dryer from Conn. Almost 5 Stars I love furniture. The furniture is good quality. The sales people are personable and helpful. God forbid if you are late they will hound you like you are a runaway slave. I had already contacted Conns and told them I would be paying a day late. I received a call from a rep and told her I already informed them I would be paying a day late my husband is having surgery. The lady on the phone said she was still going to continue to call you until I pay it. Not I hope everything goes well. At this point, I had never been late. So I kindly told her then I have no problem hanging up on you every time you call. So meanwhile I am at the hospital she continued to call relentlessly and got the tone each time. Salesman made a bunch of bs claims that he was going to give me this great deal, then shoved a tablet in my face telling me to sign falsely reassuring me that I had nothing to Worry about- WHILE HE ADDED A BUNCH OF UNNECESSARY and UNWANTED INSURANCES. AND THEN WHEN I, the CUSTOMER TRIED TO FIX IT- Saleaman and manager both treated me like it was all my fault for not reading the contract - that I foolishly trusted the salesman- JACKY DOGGET - DID NOT EXPLAIN NOR INFORM ME -- BEFORE HE QUICKLY PUT THE TABLET IN MY FACE AND SWIFTLY TOOK IT BACK, after I signed!! He NEVER SAID THAT HE WAS ADDING EXTRA INSURANCES AND THEN HE FALSLY CLAIMED HE WAS WAIVING A DELIVERY FEE WHEN HE DID NOT! There was so much shady business with this purchase. And the store mgr- THOMAS was a jerk- telling me he would read the contract to me- like I was a child. BUT HIS SALESMAN SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME WHAT HE WAS ADDING TO MY BILL!! HE DID NOT!! The worse experience ever. From the time I signed my contract on 6/1/2021 until now in October was a never ending battle. I was informed some of my furniture was not in stock (sofa, end tables & coffee table). A few days later my chair, ottoman &love seat was delivered. The delivery person asked my daughter for a alcoholic beverage that was sitting on the counter (1st issue). Then the 1st week of July I called about my payment and the status of my furniture that was not in stock. The person that answered told me I did not have to make a payment until I received all my furniture which was the wrong information (2nd issue). Then spoke to my original salesperson (Auman) who told me they don't give customers calls to inform furniture is available for pick up which at that time my tables was available for pickup which again was wrong information (3rd issue). I get to the warehouse they asked for an order #. Never received my contract by email so I didn't have an order # (4th issue). They was able to find my order by looking up my phone #. They then tell me my end tables was in stock and not my coffee table. Waited at the dock and the workers brings out 2 boxes. No one told me I had to assemble my tables (5th issue). About a week later I start receiving calls about my payment that was due. I explained to the man of what I was told. I was only told when my payment was due but had no information on how to make a payment (6th issue). A few days later I called the manager (Samantha) to express my concerns. I never received an apology, as she kept saying this is a coaching opportunity for the salesperson providing me the wrong information (7th issue). So now we in August I go into the store to make a payment and to check on my sofa and coffee table. A different manager (Andrea) informed me my account was completed meaning I've received all my items. All I could do was laugh at this point (8th issue). She told me she would get it handled and she did. I called a few days later for the update and she told me my sofa would be delivered but my coffee is still not in. In September around labor day I get a call from my salesperson (Auman) asking if I wanted the coffee table on the display. I was busy at the time and told him I would call back. He called me back the next day stating he needed to know when I would be able to pick up the table again I was busy and told him I would call back. We're in October I goes to another location to make my payment to find out that my coffee table was taken off my order (9th issue). The fact that no one inform me of this and not to mention I should get a new contract right??? This is ridiculous and I'm over conns. Thinking of shopping at Conn's? Don't waste your time. By far the worst customer service I have recieved in my lifetime. I am building a house and choose Conn's after month's of researching best deals on appliances. Going in with the thought of spending 3k on said appliances, I was attacked walking in by several people and could not get a moment alone to even look around. Already knowing what we wanted, we gave the lady the sku numbers to check out. She then informed us that to install the items, it is $120 EACH, not for the whole set, but for each individual item, adding an additional $500 to my ticket that was already a decent sized order. We declined it, being that we are capable of installing them ourselves or having our contractor install them. She assured us everything was in stock for the delivery set a MONTH in advance. The day before delivery, I have yet to hear from anyone regarding the delivery, or the store regarding my order so I contacted my sales rep, to be told that my microwave is on back order a couple weeks and will be delivered then, however, upon the inital sale, I told them I needed everything at once to ensure my house is finished on time. Now, I'm not one to be rude or to cause an issue, but I work in the same industry as them, and when it comes to my customers, if an item is back ordered, I tell them upfront and keep them updated. I asked my sales rep if we could upgrade the model to be delivered and she told me she'd get back in touch with me. Well a couple hours passed, I hadn't heard anything, so I went into the store and spoke with the store manager. I had found the upgraded model advertised for less with free delivery and free installation at another location so I asked if they could price match and I would just upgrade the microwave. Well the store manager ensured me that nothing could be done, they could not price match (even though they advertise it and explain it to you) and that they would in no way, shape, or form, do free delivery, installation, or price match it. Had I not needed the rest of the appliances the next day, I would've cancelled my entire order. I cancelled the microwave and went to Best Buy where they had the lowest price, free delivery, free installation, best buy reward points, and excellent customer service and purchased from them. I will never shop at Conn's again and I will be sure to tell my customers my HORRIBLE experience here and that if they shop from them, they will go through the same experience I, and several other people, have been through. Don't waste your time, they may have good deals on appliances, but their furniture is partical board and will not last more than a year, they prey on low income with their finance promos via mail that never stop coming (even when you've never shopped with them or given them your information....which means their getting your information from somewhere....) Customer service is NON-EXISTENT! They showed us a dining set that was being "phased out". The table was in stock, but not the chairs. They refused to give us the floor models even though the style is being "phased out". They were supposed to call when the chairs came in...they never called. The in store service was great it is when you have to deal with the warehouse staff and receive a I don't give a Dam attitude that made me send the washer/Dryer back. They sent the wrong washer on the first delivery and after talking with the warehouse staff I stopped the second one as well. The sale Reps in the store said that this is the norm and they were so sorry but it is all they hear when their customers make a return visit to the store. They sent me a $100.00 voucher but there is nothing in the store you can by for that price and I just feel my trying again would not go well. I wasted three trips from Mt. Island Lake to University City to put up with this BS, took a half day off from work to be at my house for delivery only to be told that my items were not going to be delivered. I HAD TO CALL THEM TO FIND THIS OUT!!!!! After speaking with the customer service rep and the warehouse supervisor (who hung up on me), I was finally told a third different story by the store manager about why I won't be getting my items.
