It's a great store early in the morning when the music is not turned up, I don't understand why stores feel the need to blast music. The store is clean with a terrific selection in all departments. One of our Friday rituals was $5 half rack ribs on Friday, great deal, couldnt beat it. Was gone for about month and a half on vacation, just got back with my half rack of Friday ribs...$8, $15 for a whole rack now. I expect some increase in price but this quite a jump. Barely makes it worth the trip. Don't know if I'll be back for ribs for a while... Love their wine tasting parties though. read more

I rarely give a five star rating but my husband and I were blown away with this store in Simpsonville SC. It was our first visit to a Lowes Foods store. We just wanted to take "a look" and see what it was about. Wow, what a beautifully designed setting. Such a joy to walk around looking at all the new options. We stopped by the Sausage maker first and bought a Sausage Sampler.$4.99 lb .We were advised on what to get by the butcher on duty. Great service! Then we looked at the dry aged steaks and decided on two rib eyes. $26.99lb . We also bought a meatloaf. We bought baked potato's We bought some nice fresh rolls too. We had to get out of there before we spent even more lol I got the app and was given a shoppers card. I love Lowes Foods! I find it to be generally well run, clean, and organized. They carry some local products which I appreciate. I like how they make a lot of their own products like the sausages and their distinct theming of each department is fun too. They have one of the best meat departments around and they are always running a good sale on something. I do find some of their staples on the more expensive side, but if you shop sales you'll definitely find some excellent deals here! read more

Their selections are excellent and I like the way they have their separate little areas for chicken, meats, seafood, etc.. Experience is not usually a word I'd use for shopping. I love this place. The staff at the three locations (Greer,Pelham,Woodruff) have been consistently pleasant across the board. We love boxcar coffee and the cafes. The bakery makes some of the best cookies I've had. The beer den always has an epic selection of beer on tap and the friendliest group of staff and patrons you could want to share a beer with. Their fried chicken at the hot food counter was surprisingly good. Finally, the assortment of smoked meats and dry aged beef makes this place feel super high end. On our Day Trip, we stopped at Lowes Foods for their fresh coffee that was sold in bulk and ground as desired. I enjoyed walking thru the store and resting at a spot where Cafe style tables are ready for tired and mobility challenged customers. We got drinks such as Hanks Soda and Bawls Mandarin and Coca Cola and an MD pineapple-orange-mango. All nice for the road trip back to Lake Lanier, GA. The name Lowes (Foods) could confuse someone not familiar. But once you enter the Lowes Foods store you'll find everything on your shopping list that isn't part of home remodeling. read more

With so many grocery stores in the Five Forks area and right up Woodruff Road it's hard to shop at just one when they all have different deals and offerings weekly. Lowe's Foods has a great app that will show you local circular and allow you to clip coupons for in store use. You can even order groceries for curbside pickup! There is a drive thru area right by the store entrance for convenience. I love that Lowe's Food maintains a market feel and does a good job of displaying like items together. There are different areas and departments within the store that are well signed and easy to identify once you get used to the colorful signage. In addition to all of their grocery store offerings they also have a lot of fresh prepared foods hot and ready to go. In my experience the deli and various counter lines move quick and efficiently! Easy to grab lunch or dinner, they offer pizza, wraps and subs, fried chicken dinners, sandwiches, paninis and more! A lot of the signage and wall displays around the store are actually outfitted with lights, sounds and motions. Around the meat sections there are some buttons kids (or curious adults) can press to start the display. I can see these being very entertaining for little ones joining the grocery errands! It definitely makes the atmosphere a little more lively than a typical grocery store. read more

I was visiting the Greenville area from Arizona, and when my dad told me we were going to Lowe's grocery store, I was thinking "Lowe's (the home improvement store) has a grocery store?!" This was my first time hearing about this grocer and I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY. This grocer is more upscale, but has all of the comforts of your normal grocery store. The differences add up to make an amazing experience that will have you actually excited to go grocery shopping. First, when we walked in, we noticed they had beautiful, well thought out displays. It's almost Valentine's Day, so there were cute hearts, candies, stuffed animals everywhere. Second, and this was my favorite--is the little arcade area. THANK YOU for the throwback Ninja Turtles arcade game (90s kids will love this novelty item and have a flashback to childhood). We had a little crowd collecting around us just like the old days at the local arcade. And they're FREE! Woohoo! Third, the bar at the far left of the store is amazing. We enjoyed sipping our craft beer while we explored the store. There was music playing that made you feel hyped and you can see lots of people mingling in that area. We checked out the bakery and OMG the pecan cookies were amazing, can you say diabetus? LOL they were heavenly. Also tried the "Korean BBQ" chicken wings. Not bad, but I will say it definitely not authentic KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), but I do like that they tried. I really wish they had a grocer nearby where I live that had a similar concept, but sometimes the charm of the city and the people are what make it magical and can't be duplicated. I wish there was a way to rate specific departments within the store, but since there isn't, I'll focus this review on the bakery. Specifically, this is for one cake decorator named Joy. She has made some beautiful, artistic cakes for us, even mimicking our wedding cake last year for our 30th anniversary. We went back this year to have her do our cake for the 31st anniversary, and she once again did an amazing job! The cake was beautiful and delicious! We've spent almost twice the price in specialty bakeries and been less satisfied. If you want a beautiful cake for a special occasion, ask for Joy! read more

I love Lowe's in Five Forks (Woodruff Rd). I gave been to other Lowe's and they are not like this one. It's like an upscale farmers market, craft brewery, wine store, bakery, butcher shop, sandwich shop, and huge selection of all things made/grown local (in The Carolinas). If you're a beer drinker, Thursday night shopping is like a party w live music, 1/2 price tap beer and wine (yes shopping carts have cup holders) and store tastings. Grab a sandwich, pizza or flat bread and have a seat in the brewery side of the store. Tables are provided. The produce selection is like a farm to table with locally grown fruits and vegetables. I love the clip your own herbs and tomato bar. The aged beef, sausage bar and other meats are priced comparable to a nice butcher shop. They also have good sales. Live lobster and seafoods are fresh and the selection is large. My favorite part of shopping here is the selection of all things local. Anything you're looking for can be found in the local aisles- all Made in NC or SC. I drive from Spartanburg to G'ville to shop here it's that good! read more

We always shop at Lowe's on our beach vacations, so we were thrilled when we learned there's one close to home. This one is not the same as the others though. We've been three times and each time there have been multiple items purchased that were more expensive than the tag said. The last time we went, there were 11 things that rang up incorrectly. I think Lowe's Food is a great choice for making your grocery shopping into an event rather than a chore. You can grab a freshly brewed beer and take your time exploring the aisles. Parts of their produce section are worth taking a minute to admire. Honestly, this is not my regular grocery store because there is nothing exceptional about the prices or selection that makes me want to choose it over other close by stores. But they do seem to have a good meat counter and I have enjoyed several different kinds of their sausages. My experience with their customer service has been good. On one visit a sale price didn't ring up when we checked out. When we went to get the bill fixed, they gave us the item for free, which is their policy for pricing mistakes. It really did help to fix my mood, compared to getting my receipt fixed at other stores. Otherwise my main motivation for coming to Lowe's is the fact that I love beer and I love taking my time when I grocery shop. read more

A great grocery store that has everything on your list and more. If you're looking for a store that has workers who actually help, this is your place. Today, my impulse purchases included Cinnamon Rolls and an Apple Pie. Both were a dollar off and that's all it takes for my weak self. They do have their own pasta brand and very good produce. Their meat department is the best in town. The rub is their prices are a little high. But, the product is worth it. To translate: they do not have Walmart prices--But their product is better and they don't change tires and give oil changes 50 yards from the Dairy section. read more

This was my first time shopping at Lowes, and to me it's a smaller Whole Foods Market. I liked all of the fresh fruit and veggies. There was a coffee stand serving fresh brewed coffee, a spice section, a sausage section, a smokehouse section with pre cooked meat items. A bakery, deli section, a chicken section, a brewery, a salad bar along with every thing else you might find in s regular super market. There is a Lowes card that you use just like an Ingles card. Five stars hand down. People in Greenville have been without a good grocery store for so long, that they flocked to this place in droves from day one. Unlike Publix, Lowe's does not inflate their prices and they also provide loyalty discounts and fuel rewards. It's so nice to have a grocer in the local area that's on par with Kroger, HEB, or any of the other good ones. Friendly, inviting, brewery, dry-aged chops, what else do I need to say! The place is the best and will save you a ton of money on your grocery bill over Publix. Enjoy! read more

I love this store. I have food and bad experiences there and the cashiers could be slightly friendlier. I have met a lot of the different managers and all of them are as nice as can be. Most of the staff I've gotten to know have left but they have great sales and a generous coupon policy. If you plan on using coupons during your trip it's not a bad idea to have the policy pulled up as I've had some attitude with younger cashiers. I have had to return to the store several times because of cashier errors. The bar itself is worth the trip since you can sip a beer while shopping or sit at the bar. They have great prepared sandwiches and sometimes meatballs in the Sausage Works area. Bakery is on point and the crusty French baguette is better than Publix or Whole Foods. read more

Stopped in to grab a sandwich, since the present themselves as a deli as well as a grocery store. Saw the 12" were $6.99, a fair price. Stepped up to order a 12" on wheat and the lady said they didn't have any wheat bread! Okay, whatever. Left without grabbing any lunch. One star visit for sure. Guess one needs to call ahead to check on their bread availability? Disappointed is an understatement. First of all, don't listen to the haters. Lowes Foods is the best grocery store (and retail store in general, really) that has hit Simpsonville in a long time. For quality foodstuffs, I have found them to be VERY competitively priced. This particularly applies to the butcher shop and all of its delicious meatiness. They've got all kinds of steaks and even entire loins at prices you really just have to see and experience to believe. They also have dry aged steaks, which are currently on sale - I bought a dry aged T-bone last week and thought I'd died and went to Heaven - but I know better than that, that's not where I'm headed. They also regularly have ground Kobe beef. Stop what you're doing right now and go get some. Best burger I have ever had. Seriously, are you still reading this? If you are still reading this, perhaps beer's more your bag. My wife and I visit every Thursday night for live music and happy hour. Beer's cheap and tastes fantastic. They brew it on-site, have different choices every single time we're there, and permit you to sip while you shop. MOTHER MAY I??!? The live music is good and atmosphere is always chill. What more could you want? In summary - I've never been a 'grocery store ' guy, but Lowes is a game changer. I look forward to going every week to check out the superb meat selection and prices, extensive bakery, deli sandwich counter, and of course...the beer. This is one of my favorite places to shop. Every time I have visited has been a new and exciting experience. Maybe I am a little biased because Disney came in and helped with a few things, but it is more then the design of the store. We are surrounded by three grocery stores in the immediate area and they all pretty much sell the same products. In my experience it is the staff and customer service that pushes them to the top. James, Lisa, Shilan, Patrick, Michelle, Olivia, and oh Dave! Every time we come here they make the experience wonderful. Seeing people that enjoy coming to work (or at least putting on a great act) and interacting and getting to know their guests is a rarity. My wife and I are both huge fans of the Box Car where the coffee is always hot fresh and delicious. Kudos to Josiah, Shilan, and of course Patrick. My wife is a fan of the buckeyes and homemade peanut butter cups. Dave back in Sausage works always has a great joke to tell and always willing to give me a hard time. Which is great. Not negative in anyway. Always happy to be given a hard time. The front end staff is amazing, super, awesome and absolutely the best. Some people would say I left Caroline out of the group but I did not. She has gone out of her way to help us, by doing nothing more than her job. Olivia actually ran out to get my wife a motorized cart due to a back issue when there were none in the store. I have to say that we have really had no bad experiences at the store, there have been a few small bumps in the road but they were IMMEDIATELY corrected. Eventually this place will close. When you can find what you are looking for it is way over priced compared to their competitors. You can seldom find someone to help you except at Check Out. And when you decide to suck it up on the price and go there because the quality is good, they don't have what you went there for and no one working in the store seems concerned because you came to their store to buy something and they don't have it. If you want fast check-out, this isn't the place for you. You mane be in line behind 3 or 5 full carts and the self checkouts full, but with less of a wait. The person checking out takes the food from the cart, scans it and bags it so the process isn't fast. The bakery is nice, with many varieties. The produce, though attractively displayed, is limited. Some of the cold items are hard to find. They use a different system. You'll find cheese in a glass door storage case and the types are limited. The back of the stores houses Meats being barbecued, smoked or slow cooked. There is a large selection of beer, and, I believe, a place for tasting. Higher prices than local Bi-lo & Ingles on majority of normal items. Hard to navigate around the perimeter of the store's interior due to customers with carts blocking the narrow passageways in front of the 'specialty' shops and numerous displays in the way. Had a $3.50+ cappachino which tasted like very hot weak coffee. No hint of the frothed milk etc. that should make it up. Tasteless. Cash register failed to input two $2 coupons, even though the scanner 'beeped' when the cashier scanned them. She was very good about manually inputting the info when I noticed the coupons did not appear on the computer screen. The only thing good was the friendliness of the employees! OK, totally stopped in there last minute just to see what it was about. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised!! There is a whole spices market and the wine selection is out of this world! Where the selection of food was amazing! The pulled pork we picked up was the licious! 2 pounds at about $11 has made meals for our entire family for three nights! And not to mention it was delicious! Also the bottle of wine was very Yum! There was even a really cool station where you could cool your wine before taking it home.
