I rarely give a five star rating but my husband and I were blown away with this store in Simpsonville SC. It was our first visit to a Lowes Foods store. We just wanted to take "a look" and see what it was about. Wow, what a beautifully designed setting. Such a joy to walk around looking at all the new options. We stopped by the Sausage maker first and bought a Sausage Sampler.$4.99 lb .We were advised on what to get by the butcher on duty. Great service! Then we looked at the dry aged steaks and decided on two rib eyes. $26.99lb . We also bought a meatloaf. We bought baked potato's We bought some nice fresh rolls too. We had to get out of there before we spent even more lol I got the app and was given a shoppers card. I saved over $40 on my first trip.. not bad for "a look" lol Will return again and again Absolutely recommend to all. Give it a try. They even had plants on the covered Cart Rack

My receipt says this location is at 2815 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville. But close enough. Lowes is a "Family-Owned and Carolina-Based" grocery store, says the receipt. It is also a fun place to go for a happy hour on a Friday afternoon. This delightful store makes a fun grocery shopping experience.

I love Lowes Foods! I find it to be generally well run, clean, and organized. They carry some local products which I appreciate. I like how they make a lot of their own products like the sausages and their distinct theming of each department is fun too. They have one of the best meat departments around and they are always running a good sale on something. I do find some of their staples on the more expensive side, but if you shop sales you'll definitely find some excellent deals here!

With so many grocery stores in the Five Forks area and right up Woodruff Road it's hard to shop at just one when they all have different deals and offerings weekly. Lowe's Foods has a great app that will show you local circular and allow you to clip coupons for in store use. You can even order groceries for curbside pickup! There is a drive thru area right by the store entrance for convenience. I love that Lowe's Food maintains a market feel and does a good job of displaying like items together. There are different areas and departments within the store that are well signed and easy to identify once you get used to the colorful signage. In addition to all of their grocery store offerings they also have a lot of fresh prepared foods hot and ready to go. In my experience the deli and various counter lines move quick and efficiently! Easy to grab lunch or dinner, they offer pizza, wraps and subs, fried chicken dinners, sandwiches, paninis and more! A lot of the signage and wall displays around the store are actually outfitted with lights, sounds and motions. Around the meat sections there are some buttons kids (or curious adults) can press to start the display. I can see these being very entertaining for little ones joining the grocery errands! It definitely makes the atmosphere a little more lively than a typical grocery store.

I was visiting the Greenville area from Arizona, and when my dad told me we were going to Lowe's grocery store, I was thinking "Lowe's (the home improvement store) has a grocery store?!" This was my first time hearing about this grocer and I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY. This grocer is more upscale, but has all of the comforts of your normal grocery store. The differences add up to make an amazing experience that will have you actually excited to go grocery shopping. First, when we walked in, we noticed they had beautiful, well thought out displays. It's almost Valentine's Day, so there were cute hearts, candies, stuffed animals everywhere. Second, and this was my favorite--is the little arcade area. THANK YOU for the throwback Ninja Turtles arcade game (90s kids will love this novelty item and have a flashback to childhood). We had a little crowd collecting around us just like the old days at the local arcade. And they're FREE! Woohoo! Third, the bar at the far left of the store is amazing. We enjoyed sipping our craft beer while we explored the store. There was music playing that made you feel hyped and you can see lots of people mingling in that area. We checked out the bakery and OMG the pecan cookies were amazing, can you say diabetus? LOL they were heavenly. Also tried the "Korean BBQ" chicken wings. Not bad, but I will say it definitely not authentic KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), but I do like that they tried. I really wish they had a grocer nearby where I live that had a similar concept, but sometimes the charm of the city and the people are what make it magical and can't be duplicated. I feel this applies to Lowe's Grocer and highly recommend checking them out!

I wish there was a way to rate specific departments within the store, but since there isn't, I'll focus this review on the bakery. Specifically, this is for one cake decorator named Joy. She has made some beautiful, artistic cakes for us, even mimicking our wedding cake last year for our 30th anniversary. We went back this year to have her do our cake for the 31st anniversary, and she once again did an amazing job! The cake was beautiful and delicious! We've spent almost twice the price in specialty bakeries and been less satisfied. If you want a beautiful cake for a special occasion, ask for Joy!

I love Lowe's in Five Forks (Woodruff Rd). I gave been to other Lowe's and they are not like this one. It's like an upscale farmers market, craft brewery, wine store, bakery, butcher shop, sandwich shop, and huge selection of all things made/grown local (in The Carolinas). If you're a beer drinker, Thursday night shopping is like a party w live music, 1/2 price tap beer and wine (yes shopping carts have cup holders) and store tastings. Grab a sandwich, pizza or flat bread and have a seat in the brewery side of the store. Tables are provided. The produce selection is like a farm to table with locally grown fruits and vegetables. I love the clip your own herbs and tomato bar. The aged beef, sausage bar and other meats are priced comparable to a nice butcher shop. They also have good sales. Live lobster and seafoods are fresh and the selection is large. My favorite part of shopping here is the selection of all things local. Anything you're looking for can be found in the local aisles- all Made in NC or SC. I drive from Spartanburg to G'ville to shop here it's that good!

    Fresh Fruit
    Michelle M.

This was my first time shopping at Lowes, and to me it's a smaller Whole Foods Market. I liked all of the fresh fruit and veggies. There was a coffee stand serving fresh brewed coffee, a spice section, a sausage section, a smokehouse section with pre cooked meat items. A bakery, deli section, a chicken section, a brewery, a salad bar along with every thing else you might find in s regular super market. There is a Lowes card that you use just like an Ingles card. Lowes is a very nice addition to Greenville county. I got 4 complimentary cake squares from Lowes for checking in.

The employees at this eatery are incredibly attentive and friendly, walking around the dining area with regularity to keep tables clean & check in each customer if you need anything. I mean, it is rotisserie chicken and that is a good thing! This was a tender, juicy chicken wing and thigh (1/4 chicken, dark). I really could not tell a discernible difference between this chicken and one of the standards from, say, Publix or Costco. But it was good. The sauces are a different story. They are why the Peruvian chicken really crosses the road. This is the differentiator. The sauces are, Aji Amarillo Sauce (Mild / Yellow), Huacatay Sauce (Medium / Green), Roasted Rocoto Sauce (Hot / Red), and Huancaina Sauce (Creamy Queso Fresco Sauce). I did not try them all, but I did roll with the Rocoto sauce. It was spicy, maybe too much for the average "mild" sauce person, but for me, it was a nice compliment to the chicken and sides that I ordered. And I received two of the small plastic "ramekin" type sauce containers for "to go." Which is good, because my order was "to go." Service was quick and polite. Restaurant is smaller, but very clean. Kitchen is open enough so that you can see the process in the works. My sides were cilantro rice and Peruvian corn salad. Both very healthy and both very bland. Which is another big plus for the sauce. I would also add that the location is at the corner of Garlington Road and Woodruff Road and not the easiest place to get into and out of unless you are going in a certain direction. Which I was. A minor win there. All told, this is a good option if you can get in and out with traffic, the chicken is good, the star of the show is definitely the sauce and I would say that overall their menu has very healthy options. My quarter chicken listed for $10.39 with two sides. With my Viva Chicken desires satisfied, I would recommend this restaurant if convenient to your travels, but honestly would not make it a destination.

Loved the butter that came with it too, and the parm. Very tasty. I had the half chicken, and it was maybe the best chicken I have ever had. Seriously, I know what I am ordering next time, and the time after, because it was so good. I didn't enjoy the sides as much. I had the pomme puree and the roasted vegetables. Friday night we had a 5:45 reservation since that was what we could get on Open Table or a much later option. Turns out that this was a good choice because we got a nice 4 top for the two of us in a corner, so minimal "neighbors." Our order beat the kitchen rush. We saw the kitchen rush happen as the 6:00 reservations began to fill the restaurant. Service and hospitality was excellent. We continue to enjoy the evergreen, outdoor, theme brought indoors. We wanted to try some new things and have some familiar things. Our start was the chopped Caesar Salad, which has chopped fried anchovies as a unique way to include this into the salad as well as breadcrumbs rather than larger croutons (not grainy crumbs, but smaller than croutons) and this is quite sharable. Or, could be an entree with an added protein. We shared a steak tartare - classic and excellent, a Farmers board of meat, cheeses, jams, etc. and the full head of Roasted Cauliflower with a spiced yogurt sauce that was accompanied by our choices of fries and mixed steamed vegetables (green beans, asparagus, carrots). All of this was fantastic, with the star being the surprising roasted cauliflower dish. One glass of wine and that came to $119 ($150 with Christmas tip). The watch out here is two-fold. Most dishes are intentionally shareable by theme of the restaurant and the glass of wine is gonna run $15-$20 for an 8 ounce pour. So, we came back Sunday with one of our sons and his girlfriend to celebrate Christmas with her as this is a great gluten free restaurant and has become her favorite too. Sunday was less stellar, except for the service, which was on yeoman's duty and was outstanding, especially considering they were 7 staff down due to illness. We were greeted promptly for our 12:45 reservation and it took 5-7 minutes to get our table due to it being packed out and short staffed. Winds up that Anna, the manager, wound up waiting on us. I commend her for the good communication of her staffing predicament without making it a complaint or an excuse, because they delivered. We had our drink order and lunch order placed by 1:00 and drinks arrived at 1:07, shared Caesar arrived at 1:15 and meals at 1:33pm. I noted the time because they were doing a great job on managing the overall situation. We were out of there comfortably by 1:55, easy and well taken care of. My wife & son got the usual Reuben which is the current front runner in town. The girlfriend got an apple oriented salad without the praline pecans since they are not gluten free. Unfortunately, she did find three morsels of pecans, but they were avoided and due to the circumstances, we were not going to mention it - but here - just watch it if you are sensitive. I had the chicken and waffles with jam and maple syrup and the sunny side egg. This was only okay. I am quite sure what the chef intended and what I received were two different executions. The egg was perfection. The chicken was tasty, but not juicy and a bit tough (if Zaxby's is out executing here, there is a problem). The waffle was not tender at all and was almost too hard to cut with the provided butter knife, which then made the jam and syrup portion to be inadequate to overcome the waffle texture and flavor. With a fresher waffle, a bit more on the jam and syrup, this would have notched up, there is just a ratio thing there. I did have about half of the dish as carry home, but not sure if it will be eaten. I would not hold this against the restaurant though, just noting that a rush and short staff might have some unintended consequences. All in all, with a couple of brunch martini;s and a couple of bloody Mary's, the bill was $150 with tip $180 because it is Christmas and the staff and Anna did a banger job.

I'm sticking with the two star review. The nutshell:…read moreLunchtime on a Tuesday. A lady ordering, two guys separately behind her and then me. It took me 8 minutes to get up to the front to order. Partly due to one cashier, partly due to a language barrier with the lady (which, I'm like, just order the #3 or #5 or whatever), partly due to a busy drive-through, but mostly understaffed or if not that under-organized. More staff or better organization (flexible to work in other areas where there is a pinch point.) Part of my delay was that the cashier had to also help assemble orders and "be right with me." I'm just saying that waiting 8 minutes in line before being able to order is a long time. I'm also saying that the cashier did a good job juggling it all and was still polite and exhibited good customer service and awareness. Unfortunately, "the truck this morning didn't bring me any tea" happened. So there was no sweet or unsweetened tea. Which may not sound like a big deal unless you market yourself as a Southern style (albeit Cajun) restaurant. But having tea is just an expectation for a Southern oriented place, like having biscuits. Speaking of which, mine was lukewarm to cold. Popeyes can have good biscuits, but only when they are fresh and flaky centers with crisp exterior and that buttered crown. Or, they can be cold or lukewarm and dense. Also speaking of which, lukewarm does not help chicken tenders taste better either. The breading - good, the texture - crisp & tender and flavor was good, but these were lukewarm at best, and that is a big negative. Why? Because I drove past Zaxby's specifically to come to Popeye's and the last few times at Zaxby's their tenders were hot, juicy and freshly made. There is more to these chicken wars than a chicken sandwich! Also, it is prime lunch time, so food should be cranking out, fresher and hotter. From my arrival to my food's arrival was 16 minutes. From my order to my food arrival was 8 minutes. Just in case you are keeping score on the lunch hour timeline. There were a few groups in house dining. One was a group of 5-6 teens. They crowded around a four top. The larger round table was being used by an un-uniformed manager or franchise owner doing work (he got up a couple of times to enter the kitchen like a boss). I just thought that during lunch hour, that table might be made available for dine in guests instead of the option being taken up by a laptop and stacks of paperwork for a manager, even if it was the franchise owner. Generally speaking, the food would have been markedly improved in taste and experience if it were fresher or hotter. The restaurant is clean. The staff is friendly. There are some warning signs and there is room for improvement. It will be debatable if I drive past Zaxby's, Chick-Fil-A to get here, not to mention Publix or Spinx, who both also have chicken tender contenders.

The garlic noodles with chicken were a standout surprise -- buttery, fresh-tasting, and nicely balanced without being overly garlicky. The General Tso's had a pleasant sweetness (I personally wouldn't mind a little more heat), and the sesame chicken was spot-on. Both dishes used quality cuts of chicken -- tender and not that tough, chewy takeout texture you sometimes get. But the real star? The kung pao Brussels sprouts. Wow.
