This is my local best Publix near me. It always nice, clean and neat. The food is always fresh & the employees are always super friendly and helpful and sweet. I went this morning to grab some goodies that consisted of a wrap at the deli, a 8 piece fried chicken that was in the cold cooler but was still very juicy and delicious upon me warming it up in the microwave or airfryer. The fried chicken is delicious. I also got a sausage egg and cheese biscuit which is very delicious and big! The biscuit is soft and fluffy and the sausage on it is tasty! I want to thank this Publix for always treating me with kindness and love. For that ill be a returning customer. The meats are always fresh and the fruit is always fresh. Everything is good at this Publix I can't stop naming what is good. Just know its all good. To the ladies in the deli thank you for always being nice and preparing my subs and wraps. In the last year or so - the fat content of NY Strip (and other cuts) appears to be 25-30% of the steak. I'm not paying for fat! The ox tail is another example of high fat percentage. Did the butcher's change? Good labor is hard to find these days but I'm not paying by 'fat per pound' in my steak anymore. I'll try another market. Otherwise I love your store - but you have lost me as a steak purchaser. If anyone knows a great place where 25-30% of your steaks are not fat - please let me know. Thx! read more

After a visit to Bath and Body Works at Cherrydale Point, I stopped by Publix Supermarket at University Square. I LOVE to shop at any Publix, it's one of my favorite places to shop. This store replaced the old store which is next to the new and improved Publix. It's a really nice store with nice and friendly people working there. The hot food bar has a big variety of foods, baked chicken, fried shrimp, fried cod, fried chicken tenders, corn, Mac and cheese, turnip greens just to name a few. They have the sushi station, and the deli on the opposite side for you deli meat selections. I plan on visiting this location again, when I'm in the area, it was a pleasure to shop here. read more

"Where Sopping is a Pleasure" is the motto of Publix and at this store, they take it seriously. The produce was fresh, the store was clean and the service was excellent. We asked an employee where to find one item and even though it was only his second day, Jason found a way to look it up and walk over to the location to help us find the item we needed. We also had another employee walk up to us and asked us if there was anything that he could help us find. Check out was quick and friendly. We will be back! read more

Great grocery store! It has so many different items - very well stocked with diverse products. The people who work there are always so friendly and helpful. With all of the tragic things that have happened here, their caring ways despite their own personal tragedies, is amazing. The app is incredible - you add your items to a list and when you shop, it tells you where it's located - in numerical aisle order making shopping so easy! NEVER get a prescription from this Publix Pharmacy. If you need a the pharmacy from Publix for insurance, please go to the one in downtown Greenville. I called them 3 times today to see if my prescription was filled, and every time they said it was not in their system. I went to the doctor late morning, and it is now late afternoon. They gladly told me to go somewhere else. If you don't want your time wasted, then definitely go somewhere else. read more

Huge disappointment the last few weeks of shopping here. Shop on a Thursday and the weekly sale starts Wednesday yet none of the sale items are available. This issue also applies to non sale items as to the lack of availability. The checkout has had only one cashier for the past two weeks. My family frequently visits this Publix and it's great. But I'm upset with the service up front. Went to get a money order for rent and they debited my account without making sure the western union machine worked. Now I'm waiting for the money to be returned to me so that I can pay my rent. It frustrating and there should be some policy in place to prevent this from happening! read more

This Publix should've stayed in its small space, and not tried to grow before they were ready. The store is beautiful, the food is well placed, and fresh. But they do not have the manpower to give good customer service to make the store successful. I have been four times. Twice they were stocking shelves that I needed to get something from and stood there while the employee continued stocking the shelves instead of moving the cart so I could grab what I needed. We had a very large catering order that we called to confirm in the morning and none of it was ready. "They misplaced the order" And today I went and almost got ran over by a manager, pushing a stocking cart, and when I stopped quick, he looked at me and continued on, rather than letting me go and apologizing. Finally, the entrance to the store all four times I have been - smells like cat litter. I'm not sure what's going on. But I think everybody needs to be retrained on customer service. This is my base grocery store. I like to cook, when I do cook I know I can go to Publix and get 99% of what I need for a recipe. On occasion, I may need Whole Foods or Fresh Market, but by and large I can get it all from Publix. The staff are always amazing and since I visit so often I know where to find everything. read more

This is a great publix. In addition to being a nice grocery store the staff is always very friendly to my daughter. The wings in the deli are great. The bakery is accurate and friendly. I don't buy staples here, but it's a great place for specialty objects. Of note, the fresh flowers never look very good. read more

I have never once been to a grocery store with employees that are so friendly. Not only is the store clean at all times, but every employee down to the very last person has been pleasant, friendly, and very eager to help. When we first moved in the area, this was the most convenient grocery store and I never went to another one since. They may not have the large selection of certain items that some of the other stores have including Walmart and some prices are higher like cat food. But for service like this I am a loyal customer. They have great sales however , including a buy one get one on a weekly basis. And I can't say enough about their bakery. The whole grain bread there is absolutely amazing. read more

I bought some hot and spicy wings Friday evening. Normally I go through 6 to 20 wings in an hour. Well these wings were so dry and tough I spent 3 days going through them and finally threw the last 1/3 away last night. I love the chicken at Publix, but I will never ever do their hot and spicy wings again. A waste of money. read more

Publix must take good care of their employees. Every person I've encountered there seems genuinely happy to be there. Maybe it's all just a big act, but they make me feel as if they really like me! The bakery also has beautiful cupcakes and fresh pizza dough. Outstanding. read more

Went last night. They are always so polite and helpful. They help you with your bags and I met a gentleman who spoke English Spanish Italian and French! It was nice to talk to someone interesting for a couple minutes. They have pretty good sushi and items for when you don't want to cook. I love their chicken. read more

I was completely disappointed when I went. They were busy. I was trying to get down isles and an employee was stocking the shelf and of course customer was there and neither one would let me by. One of the more friendly Publix's in Greenville. People come from North Carolina and Tennessee just to visit this store. This Publix is clean, easy to shop in, and the employees are so nice. If your a college student this is the place to go for groceries because it's no more than a couple of minutes from Furman. If your looking for beer don't go there on sunday, it's in the county which happens to be a dry county. read more

This is not your high-end Wholefoods-esque store but it offers you the best you can get for your day-to-day grocery needs. Employees are very friendly and helpful! Definitely above average in most respects but be sure to check dates on any packaged produce. More than once I have found items that are out of date or within a day of being out of date. The packaged peppers seemed to be close to giving up the ghost no matter the date on the package. They will annoy you to no end with their corporate solicitation of all sorts of charities. I don't ask them to donate to my charities so I'm perplexed why they must attempt to direct my charitable giving. And trust me on this - their recycled plastic bags are the worst. They will deal those bags out like they have $10 bills taped to the inside - ask you if you want all sorts of items bagged (hoping you say no), try to single bag heavy items, etc. If you don't want some of your groceries in the floor or parking lot ask for paper. read more

Publix near Cherrydale/Furman University on Old Buncombe Road is a superlative grocery/bakery/pharmacy. Outstanding place to shop. Staff is excellent, helpful, happy even! Love this store.
