I am one of those people that believes dawn is the best time of each and every day. I wake up at 4:30am and by 6am I am fully caffeinated, starting my work day. Today, was not an ideal day! Everything was off kilter: I woke up late, took forever to get ready, and left for work without my morning latte. By this time I should be enjoying the most productive stretch of my work day; instead, I am driving in to town frustrated at getting such a poor start. On a whim, I decide to pull into the Ingles Market in Greer to get things back on track. What a great decision this was! I was greeted with the friendliest "Good Morning!" at the Starbucks, before I even reached the counter. I bought some fresh goodies for breakfast and lunch from the produce department and the bakery, again delighted by how friendly the check-out was. Before I knew it, I was on my way to work, sipping my delicious latte, reenergized for another super productive day at work! All thanks to the great team at the Ingles Market in Greer! read more

I have been a customer of the Inglés in Greer since the day that they opened. I can't say enough good things about this store. The produce is always fresh and well stocked. The employees in every department, including the pharmacy, are helpful and kind. Times were really hard for everyone at the store after Helene, but they rose to the occasion and did everything that they could to service customers. It is a big grocery store that still manages to be warm and inviting. Thank you. read more

During this disaster you find out very quickly who the good and the bad is. I will never go back there as long as I live. Especially the store in Landrum sc these people was very rude they had a take it or leave it attitude and a I Don't give a shit one as well. They don't care about the people in need...I'm not going to get into details but I'm done with them. My first time I went to Ingles. Very nice store. Clean, friendly staff. They had samples of pie and pimento with crackers. Their salad bar is so really clean and fresh. Nice place to sit down and eat. Get their advantage card. read more

It's a scary place! So many people without masks or wearing their mask under the nose- it's about certain the virus is alive and spreading there. Sure there are signs everywhere and announcements made every 15 minutes but no enforcement. How about posting a greeter at the door who makes sure each shopper has and uses a mask. It works well at Costco and is much appreciated by all who wear masks. I rather stay well then risk the death trap of Ingles. read more

I like most everything about this store. The employees are welcoming and friendly, the store is clean and generally well stocked. Recently I've started trying the prepared food, nothing can beat the roast beef sub. Now the bad part, I recently tried the Asian menu and it was a letdown. The Generals Chicken was less than average, the chicken was tasteless. Normally is served with broccoli, nary a floret. The fried rice was the best item and even it was bland, no seasoning at all. My husband and I shop at Ingles on a regular basis. Prior to Covid-19 the store was excellent. Today's visit, the store did not have any hand sanitizing wipes to disinfect the grocery cart. They should have Hand Sanitizing machines like Purell. Unrelated to Covid 19, the kid bagging our groceries put cans on top of our sub! He was not paying any attention to what he was doing; everything was thrown together and he was busy talking to the bagger in the next row. read more

Words can't adequately describe how much I love this grocery store! From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the Starbucks employees to the outstanding fresh produce...best bananas in Greenville...to the clean well-stocked aisles with a plethora of products including gluten free, organic, local and mainstream commercial, I adore this Ingles. All the aisles are well marked with special signs indicating gluten free and organic items. Check out the floral/plant department...never seen such a selection in a grocery store. Don't want to cook tonight? Stop by the all ready prepared pizza, chinese, meat and three hot bar, fried chicken, salad and wing bar or have them make you a fresh sub with Boar Head meats and cheeses. Heck, they even have a milk shake machine!! Love the bakery. Used to drive all the way to Hendersonville to Harris Teeter for their English toasting bread. Now get it from Ingles. I call the day before, they bake it fresh for me and it's so much better than Teeters. The cashiers and baggers are super friendly and there doesn't seem to be much turnover. The manager has been there for over 10 years. Obviously Ingles knows the value of keeping a good manager in one location. Shout out to Xavier, the meat market manager! So helpful and always has a minute to stop and chat! read more

This store in itself is OK, but I feel management is not doing it's job very well. I have had issues with expired items from several different departments i.e. dairy, coldcut meats, and the meat counter itself. The steaks are not great. They have dropped a few items that I was only able to get at this store so that is discouraging. The cooked chinese food deli counter is a disaster...it's awful! Usually leftover dried out and overcooked. It was good the first few days but now...nothing doing! The only time I see the manager he is walking around looking at his phone and texting or carrying food back to his office. And every time I get to the checkout line...EVERYTIME...the checkout bagger leaves for somewhere else so I'm bagging and carting my own items. GOing to start shopping elsewhere read more

The deli in Greer Ingles has nose dived in the past, but now they have crashed and burned. I just bought the Mongolian beef plate with rice. The young girl gave me 1 spoonful of rice and 2 bites of beef. In the past I have eaten at the deli as many as 4 times a week, but no longer. The chicken is horrible now, the mac and cheese has no taste and the vegetables are taken out of cans and warmed up. Unless I'm already there buying groceries, I'm done with deli. There is also an older lady that has a rude attitude. As I said, I'm done with the deli. read more

Great selection of products fresh and processed. Bulk items are again available in the bins. Prices are reasonable for a typical supermarket although better prices are available at Aldi. Ingles has a wider selection. read more

I am SO frustrated with this store. Every single time I go...no matter the day or time...the aisles are blocked with pallet after pallet of boxes stacked higher than my head. I understand they need to stock, but seriously, do they have to bring everything out onto the floor at one time? Today was the worst. The aisles were so blocked at some places I couldn't get through and had to go way past where I needed to be and circle back. The stockers make no effort whatsoever to move themselves or carts, boxes, etc. The bagger today announced that she wasn't very good at bagging and she wasn't kidding. I had to rescue my cartons of eggs from the bottom of the cart and then when unpacking at home cold items were mixed with non-cold things, just an absolute mess. I even placed like items, cold items, etc. together on the conveyor belt. I will say that a few weeks ago a very kind young man in the produce department helped me by chopping a huge amount of celery for me...saved me all kinds of time for a huge cooking project. But right now this Ingle's only saving grace is it's close proximity to my house. I don't want to drive further to another high-priced grocery store. I did notice that most of the prices at Ingle's have gone up in recent days. Clear the aisles and train your baggers and I'll remain a loyal customer. Otherwise I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go elsewhere. read more

I used to work here and it was awful! The whole management team was a nightmare! The place itself was very unsanitary as well! They over work their good workers and don't care about what the bad workers do with their time. They are also very unorganized with virtually everything they do and they have no concept of human decency! I worked roughly 40 hrs a week, did basically everything for them, and still got treated like absolute crap! I was a bookkeeper, cashier, bagger, gas station attendant, and (partially) a stocker. With all of these attributes, I was still getting paid roughly the same as my counterparts even though they did 1/5 of the work that I did. There would be times where I would have to ask them after roughly working 5-6 hrs on an 8 hr shift to get my break and they would actually sometimes decline me of my break! They obviously have favorites and make it clear to who is and is not their favorite! They are also very unprofessional with the work they demand and have no recollection that the majority of their (afternoon-evening) workers are teenagers! Their "training" system is complete garbage and they don't seem to care about whether you're trained properly or not. I was not trained properly and actually learned many things on my own due to that fact. Anytime you had a question about something due to the lack of training, the management would just yell at you or get onto you like you were the problem. Overall a terrible experience and definitely would not recommend working here! read more

Just wasted $ on some very crappy avocados and rotten shallots. Their self-checkout system blows too. There's no product lookup function -- you have to look up your fruit and veggies on a laminated printout taped next to the scanner.... it's 2017 and you should be able to look up your veggies and check them out on your own without help read more

Great store. The grocery stores out here normally leave something to be desired. Ingles has a great selection of quality products and even good prices. It's funny, cause I found them while lost in the area. I didn't know there was one so close to where I am staying. Sweet! They have amazing bread and cheese. The produce department has more fresh herbs than any of the other stores in town combined. Some of the prices can get steep. For instance, the crackers are way over priced. But ill make them my regular spot. I think I took for granted the grocery stores I have been used to in California and Seattle. read more

This is a great store with an extensive selection of products to choose from for your everyday grocery needs. The store is clean and bright. The aisles are wide and comfortable to shop in. The meats, dairy, produce sections are terrific. It seems that every aisle has an organic section. And, the people there seem friendly and professional. Greer store has fantastic service and quality. I put in orders ahead for fresh fruit and vegetable trays, and they called the night befor pickup to be sure tbey had the orders correct. When I picked them up next morning, they were absolutely beautiful with the freshest, most perfect fruit and vegetables. Not a blemish to be found! read more

We love this store. This is our favorite grocery store by far. It is always clean. Friendly environment. We have one cashier that is our favorite. The pharmacist knows us by name. It's like a family. The prices are a little steep on some things. But they always have what we need in stock. The only complaint we have is with the bakery. We have went to order six cakes from there for different occasions and each time they tell us there machine is down and don't know when it will be fixed. But other than that, it's a great store to shop. read more

I cannot recall the last time I had donut from a grocery store bakery. Typically, it looks good in the case, but the moment you take that first bite, pure sawdust due to age. You foodies know what I mean. Imagine my surprise when I bit into the best tasting cake donut and cronut that I've tasted in a long time. This entire store is amazing! The people are friendly and helpful, the store is clean, well stocked, wide selection. The Butcher, the Baker, stocker and cake decorator all seem to take pride in what in they do. Before Whole Foods moved to town, I was at the mercy of the local grocery chains and their limited stock. I could find many items I had no use for like hog jowls and chitlins, but God help you if you wanted something "exotic" like barley for a beef barley soup, tapioca, lamb or turkey meat products. Ingles was the only store for many years that carried such products. It still has one of the most diverse selections of baking products like Giradhelli chocolate items, stevia sweetner, genuine Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla, Arrowhead Mills flours like buckwheat for buckwheat pancakes, and some organic products. They have a wide assortment of canned vegetables and beans, many organic. I have been able to find cannellini beans here when no one else carried them. This is one of only 2 stores in upstate South Carolina that carries Odense almond paste and marzipan. Want to make a tiramisu? They have marscapone cheese for you. You can also find other gourmet items like goat cheese and fig paste for a magnificent sandwich. Not bad for a lonesome backwater town like Greer, South Carolina. They have a pretty decent selection of meats and vegetables there as well, though not exhaustive. Sometimes I don't see scalions there or all the apples or potato varieties I'd like, but what they have is not bad. I wish they had hand baskets; I don't always feel like pushing those damn carts around for 2 items. Their service is very good and friendly. One day just after leaving the check out I dropped a large container of baked beans that just exploded all over the floor. I offered to clean it up, but the check out clerks there were cheerful and said no, even though I was mortified. They bolted into action and got me a new container of beans at no charge, and they cleaned up that f***ing mess I'd made. Good people. read more
