I'm sticking with the two star review. The nutshell: Lunchtime on a Tuesday. A lady ordering, two guys separately behind her and then me. It took me 8 minutes to get up to the front to order. Partly due to one cashier, partly due to a language barrier with the lady (which, I'm like, just order the #3 or #5 or whatever), partly due to a busy drive-through, but mostly understaffed or if not that under-organized. More staff or better organization (flexible to work in other areas where there is a pinch point.) Part of my delay was that the cashier had to also help assemble orders and "be right with me." I'm just saying that waiting 8 minutes in line before being able to order is a long time. I'm also saying that the cashier did a good job juggling it all and was still polite and exhibited good customer service and awareness. Unfortunately, "the truck this morning didn't bring me any tea" happened. So there was no sweet or unsweetened tea. Which may not sound like a big deal unless you market yourself as a Southern style (albeit Cajun) restaurant. But having tea is just an expectation for a Southern oriented place, like having biscuits. Speaking of which, mine was lukewarm to cold. Popeyes can have good biscuits, but only when they are fresh and flaky centers with crisp exterior and that buttered crown. Or, they can be cold or lukewarm and dense. Also speaking of which, lukewarm does not help chicken tenders taste better either. The breading - good, the texture - crisp & tender and flavor was good, but these were lukewarm at best, and that is a big negative. Why? Because I drove past Zaxby's specifically to come to Popeye's and the last few times at Zaxby's their tenders were hot, juicy and freshly made. There is more to these chicken wars than a chicken sandwich! Also, it is prime lunch time, so food should be cranking out, fresher and hotter. From my arrival to my food's arrival was 16 minutes. From my order to my food arrival was 8 minutes. Just in case you are keeping score on the lunch hour timeline. There were a few groups in house dining. One was a group of 5-6 teens. They crowded around a four top. The larger round table was being used by an un-uniformed manager or franchise owner doing work (he got up a couple of times to enter the kitchen like a boss). I just thought that during lunch hour, that table might be made available for dine in guests instead of the option being taken up by a laptop and stacks of paperwork for a manager, even if it was the franchise owner. Generally speaking, the food would have been markedly improved in taste and experience if it were fresher or hotter. The restaurant is clean. The staff is friendly. There are some warning signs and there is room for improvement. It will be debatable if I drive past Zaxby's, Chick-Fil-A to get here, not to mention Publix or Spinx, who both also have chicken tender contenders. read more

Our experience tonight at Popeyes was truly amazing! We especially want to recognize Porsha, who went the extra mile to provide us with excellent customer service. She was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and professional. The entire team working tonight did a phenomenal job, and the food was fresh and delicious. Food delicious though while getting ready to sit down to eat the entire restaurant staff were arguing among themselves so loud that two patrons in line walked out the door., this argument was nothing but complaints about being understaffed, hours, and vulgarity. very uncomfortable i will not visit this store again... This was of the most unprofessional restaurants that Ive ever visited. The employee on the register was using profanity towards another employee, threatening her with violence. She then continued to fix herself 5 boxes of food while customers waited 25 minutes. After she finished fixing her order, she walked out leaving customers to wait an hour and leaving the restaurant. We went to Popeyes my boyfriend got a large sandwich meal and his sandwich was cold, the cup of Mac and Cheese was not filled. They were out of 3 of the items included in the meals and kept having to redo substitutions. My cheese bites were cold and the wait was at least 15 minutes in the drive through. We waited to order at the window for a good portion of that. Overall, not a great experience and won't be returning. read more

On 4-6-25 my husband placed an online order for drive-thru pick-up. I arrived at the drive-thru at 6:07pm and told them I was there to pick up an order for James Furr. They confirmed the order (16 piece family meal with fries, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, extra biscuits, and a pickle lemonade) and told me to pull around. Once I was at the window, they asked me to pull forward while the food was cooking. 20 minutes later I was asked to pull forward more so another car could pull forward behind me and wait also. After waiting 40 minutes, at 6:47 I went inside the restaurant. I explained that I had been waiting for 40 minutes for my order. One of the employees mumbled under his breath, "It's 16 pieces of chicken mam" to which I responded, "It takes more than 40 minutes to make 16 pieces of chicken??" There seemed to be 2 managers and 3 other employees working as well, so it wasn't a short-staffed issue. During my 40 minute wait, I saw numerous people come and go with their food. Once I was inside, one of the employees went out to deliver to the car that was waiting behind me! I received my order at 6:59pm, 52 minutes from the time I first got to the drive-thru. Waiting 52 minutes for a $64 order is absolutely ridiculous! Nothing was done to try and fix the situation, not even a sorry or anything. If anything, they seemed annoyed that I was complaining. The other customers inside were sympathetic and were telling me to ask for my money back and that there was no way they would wait as long as I did. While inside, I read the employee board, which said things to the effect of fixing times, listening to the customers, and trying to improve their overall rating number. None of this was done. We are a Bojangles family but wanted to give Popeyes a chance. We will stick to Bojangles for the time being. read more

I generally like Popeyes. I don't stop often, but when the taste for spice and chicken hits, Popeyes is a reliable remedy. Was good to see this unit open in this area. Stopped in last week and ordered the three wing combo. Got home and not a wing in sight. They blew it, but anyone can make occasional mistakes. Not getting the wings last week was my rational for stopping in again today. Sounds like a good excuse anyway! Placed the order for the three wing platter; without mention of last week. Price on the overhead menu reads $10.99, okay. Cashier rings the order up and says $14.24. I say "whoa! The price is $10.99. How do we get to $14.24?" The cashier says "tax". I respond, tax on $10.99 is not $3.14? A lady that appeared to be a team leader heard a bit of the exchange and stepped over. I made my point to her. She stated, "it's our error. The overhead menu prices have increased, but we have not been able to change the pricing on the menu". I stated "You should charge customers the price quoted on the menu". She responds "That's beyond our control". I did not have time to linger and debate everything that's is wrong with this. They have time to change the prices at the cash register, but not on the menu? They don't mention this to customers at all prior to checkout? The menu board price is $10.99. The real price is $13.19. Percentage wise, that's one hell of an increase. Add tax and it's $14.24 for three wings. Really now,.... And they assume every customer will sleep through this. It's unethical as a very minimum. Transparency is critical to customer care and experience. Popeyes has some real work to do in determining and living it's core values. Until they get it right, just keep you eyes open and inquire about prices before placing an order. I value transparency. For me, a two star rating is being extremely forgiving. read more

First time here and it wasn't a disappointment. I got the 12 piece nugget combo with Cajun fries and a drink. I was surprised at the size of the nuggets. Pretty good size and I was hungry. I managed to eat 9 of the nuggets and most of the fries. The chicken was crispy, juicy and tender and the fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The service and counter operations at this store have been generally atrocious since its opening. The chicken is good if you can get it. The door is often locked during business hours. There is no sign telling customers it is drive thru only, so after parking, walking to the door finding it locked, the customer must get back in the car, drive around the building, and enter the back of the car line, When the store is open, the service is often slow and operations inefficient. I really don't think that I can go there anymore after so many bad experiences. read more

On October 6, 2023, I placed an order via drive-through. Huge mistake! I witnessed the young lady that took my order take out her cell phone and take a picture of my debit card. Although the food is delicioso I wouldn't recommend for big orders. They always forget at least one meal or sides. I went and spent quite a bit of money and they forgot 2 meals and all our fries the money spent was not worth the amount of food we received. They are not very patient service wise. No one is answering the drive thru, no one is answering the phone. This sadly isn't the first time this location has done something like this.
