I had never heard of this place but I saw it on Maps when I was looking for a different business after I went hiking. I am so glad I tried this place! Delicious. Fast. Fresh. Friendly service! The burgers are on par with a higher end restaurant. Fresh. Not frozen. Juicy, not greasy. The crinkle cut fries were perfect. Crisp on the outside. The unsweetened tea is really good too. I went with the double cheeseburger. Totally hit the spot! The prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that $4 seemed a bit steep for a milkshake but 10 out of 10 I would absolutely order it again! I had the strawberry. Everyone deserves a second chance. Was driving by the area and thought I'd give HipBurger another run. Today I went with their best seller - Double HipBurger w/cheese. Fries and Strawberry Shake. First the good news. Look at picture #1. I ordered my burger the way it comes (lettuce, onion, tomato and Hip Sauce) BUT minus the tomato. My bill had a -.20 credit!!!! They took money off my bill because I removed produce. Now that's AMAZING!!! Love it. Kudos. Now, the bad. Last time I got a single, a double and chicken sandwich. I also did it fairly late at night and drove through and ate it in my car. This time it was lunch hour and I went inside to order, sit and eat. Service was quick and friendly. Burger LOOKED solid. Unfortunately, the dry, dry, dry complaint from my last review was simply confirmed. The ugly. The fries, my shining star of the last review (above avg) were horrible. Not hot, not fresh, and take a look at the size/quality of them. Silly little nubs of fries. Lots of brown and shriveled ones. Just blah. Finally the shake. Meh. A little too icy. Not creamy. Inconsistent strawberry flavor. Very glad I was coming home from a business trip because my company paid for this mediocre lunch which ended up in the trash less than half eaten. Finally had the chance to visit HipBurger and it was definitely worth the hype! I went around 8:30PM on a Friday night and there was no line in the drive-thru, perfect! I ordered a double cheeseburger (based on the yelp reviews, I heard the single was a little smaller) and man did I make the right decision! It was DELICIOUS! It tasted like the patty just came off the grill and it was so hot I knew it had to be fresh! The bun was sweet, fluffy, and buttery! The toppings were fresh and I loved the hipsauce, next time I am going to ask for heavy sauce. I also had an order of the crinkle fries, they were also hot and fresh but could have use a tad more seasoning. Next time I plan on trying the garlic parm fries I keep reading so much about. I will say, for a burger spot, it is a tad on the pricey side but now i understand why I paid almost $9 for a fast food cheeseburger. I've stopped at this burger spot a few times. Mainly because of convenience and not taste. The burgers are good. Puts me in the mind of Wendy's. They have their special sauce which is good. They have various toppings for fries, like melted cheese, bacon and cheese, Parmesan. I've had bacon and cheese and the Parmesan before. They are good as well. Omg, their sweet tea and lemonade drink is always delicious! I've never been inside but it looks decent. Drive thru service has always been great. Nice and simple menu without all the fuss. I like that they open earlier than most burger restaurants. The place is clean and updated. I got the hipburger with bacon and i did the upcharge for the garlic parm fries. I got my daughter the kids nugget and fries and I got my husband a to go chick deluxe and fries. The burger was good. The meat was tender and the bread was very soft. I do agree with people on the fries that it's not crispy at all. It's super soft and squishy. I prefer my fries to be crispy. The kids nuggets were really good. Meaty portions at a good price. The chick deluxe was just ok. I got it go to and by the time I got home, the cheese still wasn't melted and it doesn't even look like real cheese more like kraft cheese but I could be wrong. Super fresh burgers with my favorite style of fry- crinkle cut! Their butter bun is very light and flavorful too. However sad to say the restaurant now gets 3 stars instead of 5 because of our most recent visit. While eating in the dining area with my 9 year old son, Sublime came over the speakers. It was a song that was not clean or edited and the f word came over the sound system. My son heard it loud and clear. When I was asked about my experience, I relayed this to the worker. They proceeded to hit replay and play the song a second time - f word and all. Needless to say I'm shocked this is how they chose to rectify the issue! read more

Came here because it was close to my hotel while out of town and the menu looked amazing! Let's get into it. Parking - has its own parking lot and a drive through. I didn't go inside just drove through today so nothing crazy. Outside of the place was so cute (see pictures ) Menu: They had assortments of food. From burgers( single , double, triple) , chicken sandwiches, nuggets, fries (cheese, chili , garlic parm and milkshakes! If you ever been to a whatabutger or in in out this is their child (no spicy ketchup tho boooo ) I had the grilled chicken and garlic parmesan crinkle fries. It was amazing. Tasted fresh. Was hot had some type of sauce on the bottom, totally didn't question it. But good. The fries were so good didn't need ketchup but my bag needed all the napkins from the fry greases on the bottom. This place was so hyped up and people said it was like In N Out. Being a Californian that was absolute nonsense. The burgers were extremely greasy, dripping grease as you ate, which ended up puddling in the paper. So much so you had to fold up the edges to lift it off the table to keep from dripping. The shakes are said to be premium ice cream but both the chocolate and strawberry are made with a mix and you can see swirls and clumps at the bottom of the cup. This is a cool burger spot, something we stumbled on just driving around greenville. We stopped in and while it's not the most extravagant burger... it is darn good! They have smash style patties, so think crispy around the edges and thin. They are very fresh and you can taste that which is a plus. Burger comes with standard toppings and "Hip Sauce", just love everyone's standard burger sauce these days, but it is tasty. I'd almost say ask for extra honestly. I also tried the Parmesan garlic fries. Mostly just Parmesan, but I'm a cheese guy so no complaints from me lol. Maybe next time I'll try to chicken sandwich. Great quick bite! read more

I really, really wanted this burger to be awesome. Yes, I saw the long lines when it opened and so I waited until the day came that I was nearby, hungry and the crowd was reasonable - yesterday was that day. We did the drive through. Service was quick, polite, efficient and pleasant. Their goal is "Serve with Excellence" and they did achieve the goal with the drive thru service. I ordered the original Hipburger with jalapeno's and a side of Boardwalk Fries. As others have described, the burger patty is cooked "smash" style and it is thin and cooked well enough done to be crispy. I had also ordered a double for my son and the double is a couple of dollars more, but it is more along the portion size that I would have preferred. Really the patty size is more akin to a regular McDonald's hamburger patty. They do use fresh leaf lettuce, tomato, grilled onion and Hipsauce. The Hipsauce is a sweet burger sauce that reminds me of mayonnaise, ketchup and some sweet pickle juice. It is too sweet for my taste on the burger but my son really liked it on his double. The presentation is in what looks like a fries bag from other fast food places and the fries themselves are served in a paper "boat." But they were terrible. The concept is thinner, matchstick type fries. Which would be great if they were actually fried crispy. Instead, my order was either fried in oil that was not up to temperature or they had sat long enough to steam into a limp mass. And they really were a limp mass. So, overall not a good experience but not terrible, however it was not compelling me to return for another try. The burger market is crowded with much better and more economical options. read more

This is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST burger I've ever had in my life. Their fries are out of this world. Crispy but still soft. Get the Parmesan garlic fries!!! They're the burger and fries of my dreams. The sweet tea is amazing. Honestly, just the quick fast food meal of my dreams. I would eat here all the time if it wasn't unhealthy for me. I love love loveeeee Hip Burger. The chicken sandwich is good too! Very crispy and moist. The nuggets are pretty good but more on the dry side to me so I don't prefer it over the burger or the chicken sandwich. This place just opened up a couple weeks ago and they used to be a popular food truck in the area. There was a lot of buzz around this place as it was being built. I heard through friends that opening day was super busy in restaurant and drive through as well. That's gotta tell you the following HipBurger has already. So my friend and I went here and I got the Hip chicken sandwich which I say is very comparable to Chick fil A's and maybe better. The "Hip" sauce comes already on the burger and it is delicious!! It also comes with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. The combo comes with a drink and shoestring fries which were perfectly crispy and not overly greasy. My friend got a Hip burger combo with an order if the chicken nuggets. She let me try her burger and in just one bite I definitely liked it as well. Will def have to come back to get my own. The chicken nuggets were so good! They were perfectly cooked and oober delicious. The menu is simple and the service was quick. The employees were nice and helpful when needed. So hip to be HipBurger. The food truck gone brick and mortar recently opened right off of Interstate 385 on Butler Rd in Mauldin. Opening Day was crazy and the lines haven't really let up since. Be fully prepared to wait in a long drive through line and expect to find it hard to find parking. There are not many spots in their lot but you may be able to park next door. Check the signs to be sure. I have been back once since opening day already. Both times the Original HipBurger was heaven. Perfectly cooked, juicy, quality bun, and that burger sauce was top notch! I didn't even add ketchup either time because it was that good. The HipChicken sandwich was also cooked perfectly. The breading was nice and crisp, chicken was juicy, and the season overall was well balanced. I'd prefer a little less zest but it's still great none the less. Chicken nuggets were a deal! Perfectly cooked just like I described above for the HipChicken. My one regret is that the French fries were soggy both opening day and last week. Opening day, I was third in line and I would have fully expected them to be crispy and not soggy. The flavor was there both times but still not cooked right. I'll probably give them a pass next time unless they've since perfected their process. The milkshake machine was out so I haven't had the chance to try them yet. Overall a solid experience from another great food truck to store front business. Plan ahead and check them out! read more

Had lunch here today with friends. At first glance, it did not seem very neat - several of the tables were dirty - but they were cleaned up shortly after I arrived, more of a timing issue. That being said, you don't go to a fast food hamburger joint for tidiness, you go there for a burger. And the burger was very, very good. Cannot swear it was my favorite burger, but it was right up there at the top of the list. The fries were very good too. Plus, the cost was reasonable. So, bottom line, I will be having more of these burgers and I suggest you do as well. One more thing, the staff was very friendly...which is not very common these days! read more

Was lured in by the Hip Advertising and glad we pulled off the exit.... Very flavorful fries the kids enjoyed, but we all found it strange they don't have a kids burger options and only grilled cheese and chicken nuggets. The nuggets my daughter got were good and shaped like Chick-fil-a with less flavor. The burgers were exceptional and would have be coming back. Every bite was extremely tasty. The bread is similar to a Hawaiian roll with less sweetness and the burger is thin and reminds me of a cross between shake shack and In and Out.
