Used to travel all over the Upstate to track down their Food Truck, now it's Brick and Mortar just off 385 on Butler, near Mauldin HS. Long line in the drivethru even well after lunch hour. Short line inside, employees all masked, several guests not. The Double Hipburger is simply the best in town. As close as you're going to get to Shake Shack or In and Out without getting on a plane. Fries were cold, but let's just mark that up to working out the kinks in a new resto. You gotta go. read more

GRAND OPENING So excited about this brick and mortar. Have supported HipBurger food truck for what seems like years and I must say #HipMaster nailed it with his idea, business plan and food. I, fortunately, was able to attend the grand opening today and I have one word...consistency. The food is exactly the same as the food truck, but with more options (combos). Service was also amazing during grand opening even though the in house and drive through lines were out the door and wrapped around the building. A few nice touches are plug in stations at most (if not all) tables and a hand washing station outside of the restroom area. Congrats to #HipMaster and the HipBurger team. Well deserved!! read more

Decided to try this place out. Did drive through. Was about a 20 minute wait. (6:30 pm) Monday night. I had read many reviews and thought others were being overly critical or maybe it was the usual growing pains issues with opening a new business. So with that in mind, I tried to keep an open mind, and stay positive. I tried the nuggets, they are trying too hard to imitate a chicken only place that will remain nameless. Needless to say, the nuggets had a strange texture, and taste, not a fan. They were better than your typical cheap fast food chains, but definitely not great, would not get them again. The hip burger all the way w/hip sauce. It's a smashed burger, kinda dry, w/yellow American cheese, hip sauce L,T. On a toasted buttered bun. Again, not much flavor, burger was kinda dry, bland, hip sauce was ok, I think mayo, ketchup and mustard would have been better. I honestly still prefer "5 guys" hands down best burger, value! I tried to order a vanilla shake, but their ice cream machine was broken? Lastly.. what most others complained about.. the fries!! Their menu states they are fresh hand cut fries, what they fail to mention, is they are shoestring.. which can make for very soggy fries if not cooked perfectly. Which seems to be what is happening. My experience w/making, and eating fresh cut fries is they must first be blanched, then the blanched fries are cooked to order. However, usually they are a much thicker cut, not shoestring, which I'm guessing is contributing to them becoming soggy so easily? Yes, mine too were soggy, and just overall not what I was expecting based on the menu description. I like to support local businesses, and hope they can work on improving their quality of food and being consistent. However, I wonder if most of the draw for HipBurger was based on their food truck concept, going to crowds of hungry people who were drinking beer, and just needed something to help soak up the alcohol and it fit that bill very well? The chicken sandwich at this place is one of the best. But since they changed from boardwalk fries (which were the best) to crinkle fries which are hardly tolerable compared to boardwalk. The crinkle fries may seem delicious but really it's not. The boardwalk fries were half the reason I come. My family will probably never come again. read more

Wanted to check this place out the day it opened sadly I missed out but came the next day and I've just gotta say this place is nothing less than great, I ordered the hip burger with grilled jalapeños and also tried the nuggets. The burger was still steaming when I got it and tasted equal to or better than high end burger spots and if your familiar with Chic-fil-a, HipBurger nuggets are almost as good as C.F.A. Definitely recommend trying this place at least once it's got a friendly crew and clean environment great place to bring your family or a nice date. Can't get your order right. I have been at this location several times and they have mess up on my order 4/5 times. Brainless.

Delicious! First time here! We are from Southern California and missing In N Out Burger and this definitely filled that void! Everything we got was tasty! The best part was that it wasn't greasy! It was also very affordable! They have different sauces for the burgers and also ranch, which made my sis happy. We will for sure go back! My sis wants to bring her kids and hubby. This place is just okay. Fries are squishy, greasy and super salty. If you like squishy fries you will like them. The burger was tasty but the meat to bun ratio is off, not nearly enough meat. I put the burger above Wendy's and Macdonald's but below Five Guys and Cook Out. If I go again I will skip the fries and add and extra patty of meat to the burger. read more

Time for a chain review. Tried the new HipBurger on Butler this weekend. Pleasantly surprised. Simple menu 3 burger choices: burger, bacon, double. Fries are great we opted for the Parmesan. So delicious. Will try one of the chicken sandwiches next trip. Need to go back hit I think this could be best fast food burger. It was good, I had the cheese burger. Beacon cheese fires. Chicken nuggets and grilled cheese. The bun is super soft and the burger was good but I had to add grilled jalapeños to add alittle more kick to the burger. The restaurant was very clean and frwsh lemonade was good too. The burger was ok and the fries were fresh and hot but the nuggets were not very good. First of all, the food is absolutely really good! The meat in the burger is crispy on the outside and juicy with every bite, the bun was soft and fresh and the toppings were top notch and fresh. The crinkle cut fries were fresh made and seasoned well and the drive thru service was every bit as good as what you get at Chick-fil-A. With all that said the only reason that I couldn't quite give HipBurger 5 stars is due to the price. There are other burger joints in the Upstate of SC that are just as good that you can eat cheaper and the problem for HipBurger, in my humble opinion, is that as good as they are nothing stands out above places like Freddy's and Culver's to justify being 3 or 4 dollars more per meal. I'll be back because it's really good but I'm going to always believe that they are slightly overpriced in comparison to their competition! read more

My go-to burger place! The meat is fantastic and the ingredients are the MOST FRESH I have tasted from a burger place. So simple but so tasteful, Hipburger gave me a new standard for burger places. The BEST PART is that is so close to my house and we love ordering from there. Whether it is drive thru or dine in, the service AND the food never disappoint! Closed on Sunday (bummer because I would have it everyday), but open every mon-sat, which shows that their employees are well taken care of. I would ALWAYS recommend this place, Hipburger gained a special place in my heart. I'm very picky when it comes to burgers, I don't care about thickness, all that matters is the flavor, and the service. How fresh the ingredients are to match the perfection of the cooked patty, make a BIG difference when trying out burgers. Hipburger is better than MANY chain burger places I have tasted. IN-N-OUT on the east coast. I grew up in CA and this is hands down the closest experience and food you'll ever come to IN-N-OUT in South Carolina (and probably much further beyond). This is the best place for a fast food burger in the Greenville area. It's very similar to a popular chain out of New York but I think it is probably better. I had read a review likening this place to the In and Out Burger of California. My husband and I were so excited to try something that tastes like back home. This was during the middle of the covid-19 pandemic. We both ordered Burgers and Fries and iced tea. After a few bites I remarked to my husband that I couldn't taste my food!
