I was treated with care and respect every step of the way, including assistance with figuring out how to finance my gum graft surgery. The pre- & post-ops were thorough. The surgery was top notch. Much as I don't want to need periodontal work, I would gladly return for care. I definitely highly recommend.

(which they defend as emphasis not yelling) Confusion on appointment and never actually confirmed nor insurance checked before procedure. Happy to pay their $150 charge to never step foot in that office again. We let the referring ortho know our experience since they referred to this horrible office! Here is my apology to the doctor as suggested by rude staff before she hung up on me; I am sorry I did not cancel this appointment as I would never support a physician that employee's rude staff. Additional comment added: I hope that the 150 dollar missed appointment fee sent can go to customer care training for your staff. While I completely understand the liability of patient for a missed appointment, no patient should ever have to tolerate being treated that way in a medical environment. Thankful to our Ortho for recommending a more professional option.

I used to drive about an hour just to see Dr. Hwang because he's truly the first dentist that made…read moreme feel comfortable and safe under his care. When I first went into his office, I had a good 20 something years of horrifying dental experiences. From my first dentist who forced spreaders into my little mouth and likely caused my TMJ, to the dentist who was so careless, inattentive (and just plain evil) that she attempted to do a root canal on me after my anesthetic wore off (not even asking if I felt pain) and without her assistant present to suction the blood and debris because she was too impatient to wait for her return from break. (The end result of which was me choking and spitting up the pool of blood that had formed in the back of my throat all over my own shirt and not receiving so much as an apology, just an expression of irritation.) I digress, Dr. Hwang is the exact opposite of that. You never feel like you're one of 10 plates the dentist is spinning, running from one room to the next to maximize patient count for $$$. Instead, you meet genuinely kind reception, a calm atmosphere, modern equipment and a dentist with great skill and gentle hands who always seems fully attentive and explains everything to you thoroughly. You won't be aimlessly sitting in the dental chair for hours waiting for him to return while your anesthetic wears off. Instead, you'll have quick, gentle treatment and consultation on your options. Some of my biggest dental regrets are the bad dental work I received at various dentists before I discovered Dr. Hwang. Unfortunately, I don't have insurance anymore so I had to find a medi-cal dentist and thankfully I did eventually find one I love, but every so often I'll get a birthday e-mail from Tri Valley Aesthetic and look back fondly and wish I could return and someday I think I will. If you have the option, I would highly recommend Tri Valley Aesthetic under Dr. Hwang.

I first stumbled upon them through google after moving to Livermore. Dr. H told me I needed a couple sessions of deep cleaning after my first visit. My husband, who is generally very skeptical of doctors, was worried I was being taken advantage of. Naturally, he booked his own appointment and got his teeth cleaned with LPFD. Three years later, he and I are loyalist that can't imagine going anywhere else for dental care! We're both in love with the care this team provides. Outside of their upkeep with technology, the staff and dentists are very patient, transparent, and listen to your needs. They take time to make their patiences feel heard and comfortable. Since coming here and following their care, my gum health and recession has improved! Something I didn't think was possible. They've squeezed me in their schedules for emergency tooth aches, worked around my chaotic commute, and have even taken time call me for post-procedure check ups. Literally, Dr. H called me herself to make sure I was okay after a root canal. I've never seen a more exceptional group of people in dental care. If it's not obvious, I highly recommend them.

I have no idea why this office has good reviews. I used to like seeing the dentist until I came…read morehere This is my family's account but i felt obligated to talk about my experience. I was referred for a root canal by my regular dentist earlier this year. The root canal office they normally refer to was booked so I found this office because it was close by. When I arrive for my appointment there is no one at the front desk so I sit down and wait for about 10 minutes before a dog comes to greet me. I love dogs, don't get me wrong, but it seems a little unsanitary and unprofessional to have an unleashed dog in a dental office. Who knows if she sheds and her fur is in the air going into people's mouths! I later heard people even talking about her biting others. 45 min after my scheduled time, Dr. Steven Williams comes into the room without introducing himself and is basically out of breath. He looks at my X-rays and says I need some work done but it's not even the tooth that's bothering me! I don't think he read any of the paperwork. He starts talking down to me about flossing and bad previous dental work I have in my mouth, all while using inappropriate words. I was speechless. I decide to have him do the root canal because I've been in pain for so long and do not want to wait any longer. Looking back, I should've just waited. This was the longest and most uncomfortable experience. He was incredibly aggressive and made every part of the procedure painful and almost barbaric. I've had another root canal a few years ago and it was nothing like this. After almost 4 hours in the chair with him jumping around seeing other patients, we are finally done. To my surprise he completed 2 other procedures that the front staff is billing me for. No one told me or quoted me for these and I never signed for them. I'm pretty sure billing me for these is illegal but it is definitely unethical. 3 weeks after the procedures and I am still having pain in the area. Dr. Williams just prescribed a lot of medications but nothing has helped. I decided to go to the original root canal office that I was referred to and they helped me fix the pain. Please don't waste your time and money here

The staff were very kind and courteous - whoever answers the phones and sets appointments was so compassionate! Saw Dr. Fang for a root canal consultation but ended up needing a different procedure. Dr. Steven Williams spent HOURS making sure everything was just right. They have a CT scanner in the office for 3-D imaging! I can't say spending five hours at the dentist was "great" LOL but it was as good as it possibly could be. My out of pocket cost surprised me by how relatively low it was. They have nitrous anesthesia for those tough procedures too. I recommend this practice based on my experience!

There isn't a lot that I can say about my procedures other than they couldn't have gone any better. After both, Dr. Choi called me from his home on the evenings of the procedures to make sure everything was OK. He also offered his home phone in case I needed something. I've had something called Tori under my gums. They're small bony growths. I think it's pretty common, but I had one that was sharp and was starting to cause problems. I received a quote at one point for about $5,000 to remove two spots. I really only needed the one removed as the other wasn't a problem at all. During my graft procedure, Dr. Choi removed the troublesome spot and refused to accept any sort of compensation. Not only was this incredibly kind of him, but it helped me avoid future expense, pain and recovery. While it may not seem like a big deal, it was. By doing this for me, Dr. Choi puts himself on the hook for any liability or complications resulting from that work. That's a pretty big deal and I'm grateful to have met this man and to have had him do my work.
