She provided an easy to understand explanation and diagram of what was going on with my tooth and my options. I was scheduled for the root canal a week after my diagnosis. Her level of expertise is unmatched. I truly appreciate the care I recieved. It was a smooth procedure and I am currently in the healing stage. The front office staff is helpful and courteous. Thanks to Jessica for assisting with manually entering the American Express gift card for my payment the day of the root canal. There is a parking garage conviently located on the first floor of the building. There is also paid street parking right on the street. If you're to able to do some walking from farther away, you can park on the other side of Ashby and find a free 2 hour space in the neighborhood. There is a 3% service fee for paying by creditcard but that can be avoided by paying in cash or sending money to them through Zelle.

I'd give their office 10 stars if I could…read more I preface this post by saying that this is my first root canal. I do not like needles and have a fear of getting dental work done on me. I was expecting pain during and after the procedure. Usually my jaw aches for days and my neck is sore from holding a position for an hour or so after fillings, so that was what I was expecting. BUT, none of the above happened. Ok, I was still apprehensive of needles, but that quickly changed when I didn't feel any pain during the injections. The exemplary experience started the moment I called and spoke to their kind and professional receptionists. Next came the local anesthetic injections (painless!!), the root canal procedure (again, painless), to Dr. Ho's postoperative call the next day (to check on how I was doing), I was simply blown away by how warm, knowledgable, and caring the entire team was. 24 hours after my procedure, besides a bit of expected soft tissue soreness, I'm feeling great. No sore jaw or neck!! Kinda blows my mind, that I'd had a root canal without pain, and recovering with minimal discomfort, without the need for ibuprofen. He's got awesome skills, that Dr. Ho. He took his time to explain the procedure and discussed my root anatomy while looking at my xray. He took his time to take an excellent history of duration of tooth pain by asking pertinent questions, and made sure I was comfy (bite block for jaw comfort, neck pillow for neck comfort) before he started. I was so relaxed during the procedure that I even noticed how polite he was to his assistant, always saying please and thank-you when he asks for various instruments. No pomp, no arrogance. My respect for him expanded exponentially thereafter. Being a good human being trumps being a great doctor, and it's not everyday that you get to meet someone who is both those things.

I was VERY nervous and VERY scared when I heard I needed a root canal, but I was in so much pain,…read morethat I knew what had to be done: face my fear of having tiny barbed wires stuck into my sensitive tooth to clean out all the decay. Luckily, my knowledge of root canals was based on what dentists did in the 70s and my procedure was neither scary, painful, or traumatic. It was no different from having a filling or a crown. There was no pain at all and my anxiety melted away as soon as we begun. Dr. Kathpalia and team were very understanding about my nervous nature and went out of their way to make me feel calm and comfortable. The tools and equipment were all modern. There were no implements of torture or ancient relics in the office. The only pain I felt was in the other side of my jaw from holding my mouth open for an hour and a half (and of course when my dental insurance covered a generous 3% of the total cost). Endospecialists even has their own gated parking lot, which is a really nice touch. This was a referral from my own dentist, but I would recommend anyone needing a root canal to give them a call for a consultation. They were able to fit me in the day after I called, so I didn't have to worry about the appointment for weeks or deal with the constant pain. Thank you Dr. K and team!

WATCH OUT -- Dr. Kathpalia's office seems to routinely add extra charges to their bills. They did…read moreit to me 3 times in a row. To protect yourself during your appointment, you will need to know what parts of the root canal process an endodontist does and what parts your dentist does and who your insurance will pay for each part. They added $461 to my initial bill for the final restoration of my crown "because your insurance doesn't pay for it." My insurance actually does pay my dentist for that procedure because it should be done a week later by a dentist, not done immediately by the endodontist. Since I had figured that out beforehand, I was able to decline it, noting that my dentist would do it. They then presented me with a second bill on which they had changed the code for the root canal procedure to one that pays them more. When I objected to that, they presented a third bill with an extra charge they couldn't even explain. At that point, I walked out. I had seen several red flags in their paperwork when I first went through it at home, and that plus 3 attempts to overcharge me was too much. I will not do business with anyone who tries to cheat me. Note that this is a review of their billing practices, not their medical expertise. I did not stay for the medical part, so I can't comment on that.

He made both my daughter and me feel informed, comfortable, and at ease throughout the whole process. The best way I can describe his presence is somewhere between Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross -- calm, kind, gentle, reassuring, and genuinely caring. You can immediately tell how incredibly knowledgeable and intelligent he is, yet what stands out even more is how humble he is. Even with all the Ivy League and elite schools he attended, there is absolutely no arrogance or bragging about him. He is deeply respectful, compassionate, and treats both his patients and staff with such kindness. His staff are also amazing -- very sweet, youthful in spirit, professional, and welcoming. Everyone there helps create such a peaceful and uplifting environment. Even the office itself reflects the care they put into everything. The bathroom and office are exceptionally clean, organized, and beautifully maintained. They also play such an eclectic variety of music that instantly helps calm your nerves and lift your spirit. What touched me the most was how Dr. Nealon cared for my daughter as though she were his own child. That level of sincerity and compassion means more than words can express. We truly appreciate Dr. Nealon and his staff, and are so grateful for the wonderful experience we had. May God continue to bless Dr. Nealon and his entire team abundantly. Thank you very much!
