I'd recommend to anyone who needs a caring touch and seeking a great team dedicated to your comfort. Trust that good care doesn't have to be hard to look for when you're working with Bayside! Everything about the initial consultation felt both professional, yet comforting at the same time and I never, not once, felt doubt about my decision to follow through with this referral. Dr. Funk was very pleasant, she took her time and talked me off of the ledge with what seemed like viable options, and, gratefully, no pressure to do any unnecessary things. Though I have yet to do the actual procedure, I can only attest to the process in making in my consultation, first impressions are everything to me ... and finally, I just want to give high elevation to my interaction with the Business Manager, Mercedes. She was also very understanding about my financial concerns, thoroughly explained options and even encouraged follow-up with my general dentists to discuss best options for periodontics after care. I am feeling, thankfully, very comfortable (as much as I can), with my upcoming surgical procedure.

The best choice for extractions! And, the best office to never be a regular patient!!…read more Over the years Dr Krey has removed wisdom teeth for my family members, and cared for a stubborn canine for my then 11 year old. Dr. Krey is overall one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Among his strengths, he has a calming demeanor, is knowledgeable, and has a way of explaining procedures simply. During my recent procedure, he kept me updated each step of the way which helped to keep me calm and feel that he did not just see me as "molar number 3". So rare to find a doctor that addresses not just the issue, but also the human! Note that this office has staff with these same qualities! After 27 years, my root canal tooth decided to give up. Upon seeing I was nervous, the very kind assistant Miya assured me and said, "It's okay, sometimes we outlive our teeth." What a beautiful way to phrase it! I believe her name was Claire, at the front desk, was very efficient with gathering foundational paperwork. Joseph worked on my insurance and also took the time to assure me that all was well. There is another gentleman, tall, black glasses that I have encountered in the past that took exceptional care of my 2 younger family members during and after their procedures, gave after care instructions and answered all questions. When one of the staff called me hours later after my procedure to ask about how I was doing, I was almost teary. Overall, this is the best office to never have to visit that often, and will take care of you not just as a patient, but also has a human. I do not have the words to truly say how much I appreciate Dr. Krey and his staff.

Top notch dentists - so why the low score?…read more I would give 0 stars if it were possible all due to my ongoing saga with the billing department. NEVER give them a credit card number. They charge your account without ever notifying you. I have not gone to the dentist in over a year because I'm so fed up with their asinine business practices. They charged me $600 on January 1st for their optional "extra" dental plan. I called them to resolve the issue and was told that yes, I'm considered an "inactive" client - so why charge me $600 no one can answer that question and its been a week and still no refund. They are crooks.

My…read moreappointment was over 2 months ago and the dentist could not determine which tooth was giving me problems...that's not her fault...it really is a mystery tooth. But then today I got this strange text saying I should come in for a root canal. How did we go from, "Not sure which tooth is the problem" to, "all these dentists think you need to see us for your root canal." Then I received a follow up call...an insane amount of background noise (mind you I have a migraine so it bothered me) and that human (so not another AI person) told me that the problem tooth is #3 and needs a root canal. It didn't seem like the human or AI were listening to what I was saying which left me with the impression that it's Christmas and they're hoping to get money from me. I stupidly signed up for a three year commitment from them and now I worry that they're just looking for reasons to find something wrong in my teeth to charge me. Many years ago I went to a dentist who said he found 10 cavities. That seemed suspicious so I got a second opinion and that dentist said I had zero cavities...this fiasco reminded me of that. I hope I'm wrong because in person this dentist seemed nice as did the XRay fella.

I'm in the process of tooth removal/dental implant procedures with Dr. McDonald. I mainly went to…read morehim because my Dentist refered him and a friend who works with dentures/implants said he rated good. Long story short, my front tooth was failing from an injury almost 30 years. After getting assessed in an initial consult, getting second opinions, etc. I went with Dr. MacDonald and had the first part done almost 6 months after the initial consult, I chose that because of work obligations and my wife was getting a graduate degreee and I wanted to look ok in the pictures. I just had part 1) tooth removal in June, and his staff seemed to do a good job. I was put out and the process wasn't too painful, I filled prescriptions of antibiotics and painkillers that day. I coordinated with my dentist to get a temporary piece (or stayplate) a couple days after the intial procedure. So far good. My dental insurance from work covers a little bit of the expenses but the majority of dental insurances don't really cover it, they mainly do preventative care (cleanings and fillings). I had already put some into my FSA/HSA, unfortunately the timing of when I scheduled was after open-enrollment so I wish I had set aside more funds. Like I said, so far so good, and it's my front tooth so it'd be nice if it looked and felt good.

To say it was life changing would be an understatement. Not only did it help with my tmj but it changed the shape of my face for the better, less square/round and more oval/heart. There is so much still being researched on fascia and facial anatomy, I'm grateful Dr McDonald listened to me and took my request seriously. Now there's more information on "mewing" and tongue posture but at the time it was not well known and it meant a lot he listened to me when many ignored it. Everyone in the office made it such a pleasurable experience from start to finish, I hope he is still in practice if I ever need an oral surgeon again.

Dr. Carolyn Chong and her assistant were wonderful and explained the whole procedure and even gave us additional reading material and over the counter medication to take home. I was able to stay with him through it all, as he is not a fan of going to the dentist. Both Dr. Carolyn Chong and her assistant explained everything during the procedure and even took x-rays after to ensure all went well. My husband even said Dr. Carolyn Chong had gentle hands and didn't really feel the needles and was even falling asleep during the procedure. I was not particularly focused on that, other than it was quiet, clean, no issues-- because I felt at ease, as relaxed as I have ever been when having cavities filled, and confident that this guy is like the Sherlock of teeth-he will keep looking and figuring out exactly what is needed, beyond the skills that you would want-creativity, focus and enthusiasm. However, I found the surgeon to be very dismissive - they didn't greet me, they interrupted me every time I tried to speak or pose a question and they in general seemed to be in a hurry. The surgeon also tried to upsell me on a post surgery procedure that I did not need (I would later learn). Overall, I felt very uncomfortable with their bedside manner. Last, the office forgot to give me my X-ray that I had taken during my visit only to mail it to me several weeks later without paying for the postage. I ended up having to do so when my mailman made the delivery to my home. It was not a pleasant experience. Overall, I'm glad that I trusted my gut and did not pursue getting my wisdom teeth removal here after my experience. I went to another nearby surgeon and had a great experience and paid much less as well. I would encourage others, if they can, to seek a second opinion and then make your decision from there.
