Dr. Yeh is a very talented and highly skilled dentist. He is also very kind and gentle and takes the time to explain everything to his patients before proceeding with the treatment. I've had fillings and crowns done by Dr Yeh and he always explains what he's about to do step by step during the entire process. This alleviates any anxiety on the patient's part. My husband and 3 kids all go to Dr Yeh and they all love him too!! The dental hygienists and all the staff members are all very friendly and helpful. Dr.Yeh is a good dentist but most likely not any better than a number of dentists in the East Bay area. Given the unabashed positive reviews in the Yelp entry one would expect him be exceptional but I found him to sometimes make questionable judgements. He does run an efficient practice, have very good technique and have a bias towards not doing unnecessary procedures, which is good. read more

Big fan of Dr. Yeh! He is very friendly and very conservative in treatment - he will only do the necessary work. And if there's doubt he will give you the choice - do it, don't or wait and see. So since the practice is not filling and extracting your teeth(!) unless really needed, you will see a lot of the hygienists, who are also great. I have had my teeth cleaned by Diana and Cathy. And they have a new hygienist, Aileen. She drew the short straw(!) and did teeth cleaning for my very nervous 9 year old - and did a great job of reassuring him, as well as producing really clean teeth. I was a patient of Dr. Yeh's and have now moved out of state. I was originally Dr. Boriskin's patient and continued with this office when Dr. Yeh took over the practice. He is an excellent dentist, kind, careful, and conservative. At one point, my insurance changed and I found another dentist. After an initial appointment with that dentist, who wanted to do a lot of work on my teeth, I switched back to Dr. Yeh. I have excellent dental hygiene, so I don't have cavities; and he had talked to me about the places where my teeth were showing wear. I knew I didn't need the work the other dentist wanted to do. I have to live the rest of my life with whatever work is done on my teeth, so I was willing to pay full price for good care from Dr. Yeh. Now I have to find a new dentist. I miss Dr. Yeh! read more

This is going to sound weird, but I had such a nice time getting a cavity filled at Dr. Yeh's office! He and his assistant were so gentle, friendly, communicative, and skilled throughout the whole process. No team has ever made me feel more comfortable and confident that I'm in good hands. Dr. Yeh is a great dentist. I cracked a molar recently (during the corona virus epidemic) and he came in to repair my tooth even though his office was shut down. After an initial consult, a cleaning, a filling, AND an unanticipated medical referral by Dr Yeh, I can heartily recommend him as professional, highly competent, very personable, respectful, and sensitive. He showed his sensitive and professional approach in gently bringing to my attention a condition which needed to be seen by an MD. He accomplished this without alarming me, and very gently. Broke a tooth on Friday and found it annoying without much discomfort. Called on Saturday for an appointment, came in on Wednesday at 10:01 as a new client. I had a single sheet of paperwork filled out in under 2 minutes, and was immediately sat in the dentist chair to have an X-ray. They had my tooth cleaned, repaired, polished and shaped in 30 minutes. I was explained what was going on every step of the way and made sure I was comfortable. A full set of Xrays were then finished in the next 15 minutes, for my future cleaning that will take place next week. Great work, a gentle touch, and very efficient. I have been a patient at this office for many, many years and Dr Yeh is definitely a top dentist in the bay area. Recently Dr Yeh fit me in right away, same day when I had an accident and needed evaluation/stabilization of a bunch of fractured teeth. I appreciated him discussing options with me for how he could repair the teeth and not just recommending expensive crowns in all cases. The restorations and crowns he did are excellent. I especially like his competent office staff who even called me if he was running late so I did not have to sit in the waiting room for a long period of time. read more

I started going to this dental practice 8-9 years ago when it was still owned by Dr. Boriskin. I had an unfortunate fear of the dentist as a child (not so good for my teeth), and I still recall being terrified and embarrassed about going in for my first appointment (I had relocated to Berkeley for school, and didn't go for the first 2-3 years that I was up here - yes, I know, horrible). Anyway, all of the people here were great then and they continue to be awesome as the only change that happened with Dr. Boriskin's retirement was Dr. Yeh coming in (and updating some of the technology/etc). Dr. Yeh and his staff are all extremely gentle and provide excellent service. I like that Dr. Yeh explains what he'll do with my teeth and why (he also explains the different treatment options, plus the pros and cons of each - I appreciate this), and he's not super aggressive about treatment either (ex. I have wisdom teeth that don't really bother me or my jaws; neither Dr. Boriskin or Dr. Yeh think it's necessary for me to have them removed). Thanks to my experiences with the staff here, I no longer have that childhood fear of the dentist and happily recommend it to all of my friends. Diane is my hygienist and she's never been judgmental about the state of my teeth, and it's always a pleasure to have my teeth cleaned by her (ha! how often do you hear that about seeing the dentist or your hygienist???). I just went in for my six months hygiene visit. Before my cleaning I met with Dr. Yeh for the exam. He was excellent! All of my questions were answered which were backed up with great education for me to know the how's and why's. He has a lot of dental knowledge, patience, and joy to bring to the practice. I have popping in my jaw so it was nice to learn what was going on. He did a little jaw test to see where I bite and to make sure its all okay. After the exam Cathy cleaned my teeth. Which was wonderful as always. She is also very knowledgeable and thorough. the staff there is very friendly and sweet. I think Dr. Yeh will do well taking over Dr. Borskins practice. I called up last Friday and spoke to Rose to set up a new patient appointment for cleaning and full X-rays consult etc. Rose asked for my insurance. I have two, I gave her the info for both. She told me that she could not set up the appointment because she was too busy and that she would have to call me on Monday. Rose called me on Tuesday apologizing that she did not call on Monday. She made a mistake with one of my insurances. Again, I asked to make an appointment but she told me that she still could not set up an appointment until she had both insurances figured out. She had made the mistake. I immediately called another dentist who was recommended by someone on my block and got an appointment in less than two minutes. I don't mind waiting a few weeks for an appointment. The last thing I want is a dentist who is more interested in insurance than customer care. What if I did not have any insurance? No insurance-no appointment. Gosh I would have to pull Rose's teeth out to get an appointment at this establishment. So glad I am not their new client..Shew. Worst service ever... it is all about their cash register for this crew. read more

Dr. Yeh has a gift, extremely gentle, ethical, kind and technically excellent. I have had very good dentists but I would rate Dr. Yeh as the best yet. I had originally been a patient of Dr. Boriskin and when he retired I was nervous about seeing Dr. Yeh because of the unknown, but he removed and replaced a large filling, it was quick and pain free and by the next day and since then I have felt nothing. I fully trust Dr. Yeh and feel he has his patient's best interest at heart, I wish more people in the medical profession were like him. Today was my first visit to Dr. Yeh. I've had good and bad dentists over the years, so when it was time to find a new dentist I was apprehensive. Dr. Yeh is great - I have found my new dentist. He pays attention to detail and explains everything very well. Diana was my hygienist and she did a great job - way less discomfort than I'm used to...It was almost enjoyable, even. Of course, I can't rate a dentist's technical skills, but this office has great service, Dr. Yeh seems very knowledgeable and let's me know what's going on. He seems to do careful and thorough work, and referred me to an expert for specialty work, which I really liked. I've been very happy with this dental office - they have all the latest technology and friendly staff. Dr Yeh recently took over Dr Boriskin's dental practice. I recently went to get a check-up and Dr Yeh is fantastic! He is extremely knowledgable and has a great chair-side manner. He was patient and answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease considering I'm always afraid of getting my teeth worked on. We switched to Dr. Yeh's practice recently---my husband, myself and our son, age 22---and it is a world of difference from our previous dentist who we liked. Dr. Yeh's practice is superb but doesn't feel corporate. My hygienist---Diane---is actually a dentist herself! While our previous dentist suggested all kinds of work that we should do such as crowns and re-doing old fillings, it appears that they engaged in aggressive selling tactics. I totally trusted her and had no idea; just found her conservative and watchful. Dr. Yeh is NOT for doing procedures unless they are clearly necessary which means he's not pushing to make more $$$$ off of his trusting clients. Cannot recommend highly enough. read more
