    burger & fries

I had been recommended this place by multiple friends and finally came on a Saturday evening. Service was very friendly and pretty attentive even though it was a busy night. I can agree with a review I saw on here that the bun is a little small for the burger but if I'm being fr it didn't really matter. The burger was so delicious and fresh my bf ordered another one after he finished his LOL. I enjoyed the Mexican lager they had on tap and I would definitely go here again! Fries were crunchy and tasted sooo good! I sat outside but I did love how moody and intimate the inside looked with the bar and then a good selection of seating!

Somehow got charged $14 dollars for this. Might as well have went to McDonalds tbh. The flavor isn't bad or great. Very mid. But definitely not worth the visit. Reminds me of a subway. Like it'll hit the spot but there's way better options around.

Lowboy has an amazing happy hour deal!! We came here around 5pm on a weekday and it was pretty empty so there was a lot of seating. The servers were pretty attentive and quick with both food and drinks. The whiskey sour here is the best I've ever had and I would come back for that alone! The smash burgers were nothing special but still really solid especially for the happy hour deal. The gator fries went well with the burgers and had a lot of flavor, they reminded me of animal style fries. Overall this is one of the better happy hour deals in the area.

Just had beer, fries. The aioli that comes with the fries is really good. Heard good things about their burger too, I've gotta try! Nice place to chill and drink at before getting rowdier down the street.

My friend and I had a great time at Lowboy. It is pretty dark in there though just to note. We both had the burgers and fries and they were soo good! The drinks were good too and since I don't like beef they let me get a cider that came in a can & I was really happy about that. We woudld definitely return to lowboy and it wasn't too crowded either even during Happy Hour.

$1.50 for a small cup of ranch????? be so fuckin forreaaaal, Lowboy. It's good and house-made, but damn! they didn't have to do that. went during the Dodgers World Series game and it was a full house! we decided to order thru their to-go window on the side and eat at their exterior patio area. service was friendly, and pretty quick considering they were taking in a lot of orders. burgers are fresh, well prepared and their fries are always well seasoned! I haven't been here in a while so I'm wondering if their Happy Hour is still the same as last year???

Laid-back bar in the heart of Echo Park. I underestimated how busy this area would be, finding a table was a bit challenging, almost a sport. Sprint to an open table as soon as you see patrons leaving lol My boyfriend and I had Lowboy bookmarked in our date night list for quite a while. We arrived on a busy Saturday evening. I ordered the delicious red cocktail drink and my boyfriend ordered an IPA beer. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the BBQ bacon low burger. Both burgers were full of flavor! The burgers are a bit smaller than we anticipated, so it's something to keep in mind. The ambiance was lively, it was a full house that night, with limited seating.

Regular like margarita w- tajin side rim.

One of the best burger spots in town! Hands down! Juicy + favorable! Fried Pickles is a must! Service is quick and friendly. Always a vibe here! Can't wait to go back! Parking: street/ metered parking.

Burger here is so so good. Good happy hour deals and love their boilermakers. Great place before or after dodger games.

There are times, you're going through your day and a craving hits for a good burger. Then there's also that craving that hits for a good cocktail. Then you realize you only have so much time, so you need to find something local, which can be quick ish, or long, depends on you, that allows you to hit both cravings at once. Thankfully, Lowboy, in Echo Park, takes care of both cravings at the same time. So, there are two Lowboy locations ish, yet right next to each other. One, if you just want food, you can walk up and order at the window, your chicken sandwich or smashburger, fries, chicken tenders, whatever you want. Then there's Lowboy next door, which has indoor and outdoor seating and a full bar, where you can grab your drinks and order food, sit down, enjoy the vibe, live DJ, and hang out. You place your food order, which goes in next door at that window you could have ordered from, and it comes out when it is ready. We didn't have a lot of time that day, but were craving drinks and burgers, so we ran to Lowboy as its close by. Parking on the weekend can be an adventure, but you'll eventually find something somewhere along Sunset. We went to the bar, which was full full, ordered a few cocktails and burgers. The Golden Hour cocktail is a vodka base with mango and kumquat, amongst other things. Very refreshing for a hot summer day. Also, the Sunset Shandy is another drink good for summer with a rye base, passion fruit and grapefruit. Both very good drinks, not overly sweet, well balanced. But, when you're going to Lowboy, you're going for the burgers, and they did not disappoint. Were they the best smashburger I have ever had? No. But they are better than a large majority I've had. Just good proportion of meat and cheese, grilled onions and pepper jam. Caramelized onions might hit better, in my opinion, and the cheese was perfectly melted, even giving you some cheese paper a la In N Out.... who doesn't love cheese paper? Overall, nice spot for burgers and cocktails. Good vibes, people are cool, parking can suck but that's just LA. If you're in the area, definitely grab a drink and something to eat.

This is a solid hang spot that has some pretty tasty food. I came here during Echo Park Rising and it was a vibe. There were bands playing on the front patio, and even though it was packed, we found a table pretty easily and before long had some lovely drinks and food. I ordered a highball and a lowboy, going for both ends of the spectrum I suppose in hindsight. The lowboy burger was a great little smash burger that really hit the spot. I could've probably ordered 2 but the large order of fries we got really filled in the gaps. It can get a bit dark and moody at night, but for the night owls, that may be just what you're looking for. Some times you gotta go high, but some nights you wanna stay lowboy.

I honestly really liked this spot! Probably the best smash burger in LA for me. The burger was really good and the texture of the fries were bomb. I ordered an aviation and it was actually one of the best I've had as well. The place is pretty casual and the service is standard. I've been itching to come back!

Indoor and outdoor seating available, Bar Henry is a cool little for in Echo Park serving up tasty cocktails in a friendly, local feeling environment. We tried a few cocktails when we visited. The Butthole Surfer is their version of a pina colada which, while decent, could have been a little more flavor forward. Feel it is premade in batches as I didn't see it made fresh but was brought getting the back, but still decent. The Lucid Dream had the smokiness from the mezcal posted with the mandarin, but then the rosemary comes in and helps add a little balance to the drink. The Swimsuit Edition was more flavor forward, but the passion fruit didn't necessarily pop in the drink for us. And finally was the Snitches Get Stitches, another mezcal drink with mango and horchats. Interesting was my first thought, then you start getting the nuances of the different interested and it's a respectable cocktail. Overall, good drinks, friendly people, chill atmosphere, and a nice addition to the bar scene in Echo Park

[Event]: General Lee's is best known for hosting weekday Hong Kong style Mahjong night (sponsored by Mahjong Underground) and please check the IG page for the exact date (e.g. February 2026 was every Wednesday and March 2026 is every Monday). No RSVP is required and our party just simply walked in at 8 PM sharp. Free admission, but 21+ only. [Pro tip]: Please come as early as the cocktail lounge can get pretty crowded within 15 minutes of opening time (8 PM). Otherwise Mahjong tables will be taken up pretty quickly. [Experience]: There were 7 beginner tables on the 2nd level and 9 advanced table on the 1st level. The lounge had DJ playing music so the lounge can get a bit loud. The beginner tables had two laminated pages on how to read Mahjong tiles and how to play Hong Kong style Mahjong. The players at the beginner tables were friendly and our table played open-hand, but it would be great if an actual instructor can teach us more advanced rules. Restroom (unisex) was quite clean. [Conclusion]: Expect packed crowd on Mahjong nights with friendly Mahjong players, but this is not exactly the best place to really learn how to play Mahjong. I see this lounge as more of a place to socialize with other strangers.

We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going. The prices here were all pretty fair for the cost and quality of the drinks. Would defintely recommend coming here for drinks and dinner for a date night or a night out with friends!
